A logic function runs as an app **agent**, with no user session; `updateWorkspaceMemberRole` is guarded by `UserAuthGuard` + `AuthWorkspaceMemberId` and is unreachable from an agent, so the mutation silently no-ops regardless of permission flags. The dead role code (`ensure-partner-role` service, its role query/mutation, and the role mocks) is removed so the trigger's responsibility is unambiguous: resolve partner by email → link `partnerUser` cascade with retry-on-partial-failure.
