Weiko 25bd2897a3 Add weekly layout to record calendar (#22819)
## Summary

- Add a week layout to record calendar views and persist the selected
layout.
- Render `DATE` calendars as an all-day week and `DATE_TIME` calendars
as an hourly week.
- Add an optional end date field across calendar configuration,
metadata, persistence, and complete-view upserts.
- Use configured end values for ranged and multi-day events, with a
one-hour fallback when a `DATE_TIME` end is absent or invalid.
- Keep calendar cards consistent with the existing compact view,
including checkbox selection and whole-card record opening.
- Gate the weekly layout and end-date behavior behind the public Labs
`IS_CALENDAR_WEEK_VIEW_ENABLED` workspace feature flag.

## Week interactions

- Show overlapping timed events side by side and cap the visible records
at two per day.
- Display start and end times on timed cards, enforce a readable
30-minute minimum height, and keep today’s text contrast stronger.
- Drag timed events between days and times with 30-minute snapping while
preserving their duration, including zero-duration events.
- Show a create button when hovering a 30-minute slot; keyboard users
can focus a day, move the slot with the arrow keys, and reach the same
contextual action.
- Initialize new records with the selected slot time and a compatible
writable end value one hour later.
- Show the workspace time zone and current-time indicator in timed
weeks; date-only weeks keep the all-day section without an hourly grid.

## Configuration and data loading

- Only allow end fields that match the start field type, and prevent
selecting the same field for both boundaries.
- Load records whose ranges overlap the visible period so month and week
layouts display the same relevant records.
- Resolve and persist calendar end fields when updating existing views
through `upsert_complete_view`.
- Fall back to Month and ignore the configured end field while the flag
is disabled, without overwriting either persisted setting, so
re-enabling restores the previous configuration.
- Expose the flag in Labs and keep it default-off for workspaces without
a stored value; enable it in the development seeder.

Thomas Trompette 48730df0d2 feat(workflow): scaffold core workflowVersion entity + trigger cache (phase 0) (#21674)
## What

**Phase 0 (scaffold)** of migrating `workflowVersion` data to **core**.
Gated by `IS_WORKFLOW_VERSION_IN_CORE_ENABLED` with **no behavior
change** — nothing reads or writes the new core entity yet.

## Plan

`workflowVersion` becomes a thin **workspace shell** over a core entity
(the `dashboard`/`pageLayout` pattern), so navigation, the metadata
relations, and the record UI keep working while the heavy data
(`triggers`, `steps`) lives in core. Trigger dispatch will derive from
active core versions via a per-workspace cache, letting us **eliminate**
the denormalized `workflowAutomatedTrigger` object. `workflow` and
`workflowRun` stay as workspace objects.

Phases: **0 — scaffold (this PR)** → A — backfill + dual-write → B —
switch reads to core → C — drop the workspace `trigger`/`steps` columns
+ the `workflowAutomatedTrigger` object.

## Included
- **Core `WorkflowVersionEntity`** (`extends WorkspaceRelatedEntity`) —
stores version data, with triggers as an **array** (`triggers:
WorkflowTrigger[]`), a long-due shape change. Storage only: dispatch
reads the primary trigger, so behavior stays single-trigger for now.
- **Fast create-table instance command** for `core."workflowVersion"`
(v2.19.0).
- **`IS_WORKFLOW_VERSION_IN_CORE_ENABLED`** feature flag.
- **Per-workspace automated-trigger cache provider** deriving
CRON/DATABASE_EVENT dispatch from the active version's trigger —
groundwork for removing `workflowAutomatedTrigger`.

## Notes
- `WorkspaceRelatedEntity`, **not** `SyncableEntity`: this is user
runtime data (like `connectedAccount`/`apiKey`/`file`), not
application-manifest metadata.
- No frontend behavior; the generated `FeatureFlagKey` enums are updated
to include the new flag.

Etienne 4b9f393167 fix: add workspace command to backfill missing AGENT source enum values (#22593)
**What**
Adds a 2.19 workspace upgrade command that backfills missing
FieldActorSource enum values (AGENT) into the Postgres enums backing
every ACTOR composite field (createdBy, updatedBy) across all existing
workspaces.

Each ACTOR field stores its source sub-field as a Postgres enum scoped
to its own table and schema (e.g.
workspace_abc.company_createdBySource_enum). Workspaces created before
these enum values were introduced are missing them, which causes runtime
errors when those sources are used.

**How**
buildActorSourceEnumBackfillTargets collects all ACTOR fields from the
workspace metadata cache and maps each enum sub-property to its
(tableName, columnName, enumName, expectedValues) tuple.
Before iterating over all targets, the command performs a single fast
pg_catalog.pg_enum lookup on company.createdBySource as a representative
sentinel. If AGENT is already present there, the workspace is skipped
entirely (idempotency fast-path).
For each remaining target, ALTER TYPE … ADD VALUE IF NOT EXISTS is
issued per missing value via
WorkspaceSchemaEnumManagerService.addEnumValue, making the command fully
idempotent and safe to re-run.

martmull b733a79821 feat(server): support server-scoped files via nullable workspaceId on file table (#22587)
Part of the app settings architecture cleanup
(twentyhq/core-team-issues#2456) — PR 1 of the server-level documents
plan, reworked after the revert of #22560 (#22579). Same capability,
different shape: **no new entity** — server-level documents live in the
existing `file` table with a nullable `workspaceId`.

## Problem

All file storage is workspace-scoped (`FileEntity.workspaceId NOT NULL`,
`{workspaceId}/{app}/…` storage keys). Server-level data like
application-registration manifests and tarballs for ownerless catalog
registrations has no first-class home, forcing raw-driver bypasses
(`DefaultAiCatalogService`, prototype #22556).

## Changes (core storage layer only — no HTTP serving, no GraphQL
exposure)

**`FileEntity` gains server scope** (mirrors `KeyValuePairEntity`, which
already supports both instance-level and per-workspace rows):
- `workspaceId` uuid becomes **nullable** — NULL means server-scoped;
the entity no longer extends `WorkspaceRelatedEntity` and declares its
columns directly
- `applicationRegistrationId` nullable FK (`onDelete: CASCADE`) —
registration-owned documents follow their registration
- ownership checks: `workspaceId IS NOT NULL OR
applicationRegistrationId IS NOT NULL` and `workspaceId IS NULL OR
applicationRegistrationId IS NULL` — every row has exactly one owner
- `IDX_FILE_APPLICATION_REGISTRATION_ID_PATH_UNIQUE` UNIQUE
(`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) — mirrors the workspace
unique-constraint pattern; workspace rows are exempt via their NULL
`applicationRegistrationId`

**New `ServerFileStorageService`** (`file-storage/services/`, exported
from the global `FileStorageModule`; `FileStorageService` moved
alongside it):
- storage keys
`server/{fileFolder}/{applicationRegistrationId}/{resourcePath}` — the
registration segment is injected by the service itself, so paths cannot
collide across registrations; scope-validation util mirroring
`validateStoragePathIsWithinWorkspaceOrThrow`; new `ServerFileFolder`
enum in twenty-shared
- `writeServerFile` (upsert on (`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) +
driver write; throws on failure), `readServerFile`/`readServerFileById`
(missing row or bytes surfaces `FILE_NOT_FOUND`),
`checkServerFileExists`, `deleteServerFile`/`deleteByServerFileId`
(bytes best-effort, row authoritative),
`deleteByApplicationRegistrationId`
- rows are accessed through a plain repository pinned to `workspaceId:
IsNull()` on every query; workspace-file code paths still go through
`WorkspaceScopedRepository`, which never sees NULL rows

**Null-safety ripples** (workspaceId is now `string | null`):
- `WorkspaceScopedEntity` bound widened to `workspaceId: string | null`
(the wrapper always filters with a concrete id)
- `list-and-delete-orphaned-workspace-entities` now skips `workspaceId
IS NULL` rows — previously `NOT EXISTS` would have flagged server rows
as orphans and deleted them
- `PendingFileCleanupService` sweeps only `workspaceId IS NOT NULL`
rows; `application-package-fetcher` pins its tarball lookup to workspace
rows (tarball migration to server scope is a follow-up PR)

**Migration**: `allow-server-scoped-file` ships as a **2-20 fast
instance command** (2.20.0 is current since #22639; re-slotted from 2-19
per review). Command runs are tracked by name, so instances that already
executed the 2-20 `standardOverrides` drop command still pick this one
up. Its realistic timestamp sorts before that drop command's fabricated
`1825000000000`, which the
`ci:allow-upgrade-command-timestamp-exception` label covers.

## Next PRs in the plan

- PR 2: HTTP serving + token type for server files
- PR 3: application-registration manifests stored as versioned server
files (rework of draft #22556)
- PR 4 (optional): registration tarballs migrate to server scope

## Verification

- New spec `server-file-storage.service.spec.ts` (traversal table,
upsert conflict semantics, row-before-bytes reads, best-effort byte
deletion, registration cascade) + scope-validation util spec; affected
suites all green
- Typecheck (server + shared), `lint:diff-with-main`, full `oxfmt
--check src/` on both packages clean
- Fresh `database:reset` on the re-slotted branch: the 2-20 command
executes, generator then reports **no schema drift**; both ownership
checks and the composite unique verified live (dual-owner insert and
duplicate registration+path both rejected)

martmull 1a85b88d38 feat(files): direct-to-storage upload endpoints with pending file lifecycle (#22449)
<img width="1484" height="404" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b2d363bf-d9e1-49fb-9811-8cc98041aa79"
/>

## Context

Uploading large files currently OOMs the server: every upload resolver
buffers the whole file in memory (`streamToBuffer`) before writing it to
storage. This PR is the first of a series introducing direct
client-to-storage uploads. It adds the server-side endpoints and driver
support only — it is non-breaking and nothing consumes the new flow yet.
Follow-up PRs will migrate the frontend upload paths, add a
stale-pending-file cleanup cron, and cap the legacy buffered resolvers.

## What it does

**New upload flow (initiate → PUT → confirm):**

- `createFileUpload(filename, size, fileFolder, fieldMetadataId?)`
validates the request (folder allowlist: `FilesField`/`Workflow`, max
size, extension-derived mime type), creates the file record in a new
`PENDING` status, and returns an upload target:
- **S3 with presign enabled** → a presigned PUT URL with
`Content-Type`/`Content-Length` pinned in the signature, so the client
uploads straight to the bucket;
- **local storage, or S3 without presign** → a token-authenticated
streaming endpoint on the server (`PUT /file-upload/:id?token=…`, new
`FILE_UPLOAD` JWT type) that pipes the request body to the storage
driver with constant memory usage and a declared-size cap.
- `completeFileUpload(fileId)` verifies the bytes actually landed in
storage (HEAD + size match against the declared size) and flips the
record to `UPLOADED`. Idempotent.

**Pending lifecycle safety:**

- New `status` column on `core.file` (`PENDING`/`UPLOADED`, default
`UPLOADED` so all existing rows and the legacy upload path are
unaffected) + fast instance command.
- Files are refused by the serving endpoints and by FILES-field sync
while `PENDING`.

**Driver support (both drivers):**

- `getPresignedUploadUrl` (S3: presigned PUT; local: `null` →
server-endpoint fallback)
- `writeFileStream` (local: `fs` pipeline with the existing
symlink/containment hardening, partial-file cleanup on error; S3:
`@aws-sdk/lib-storage` `Upload` for bounded-memory streaming)
- `getFileMetadata` (HEAD/stat for confirm-time verification)

## Tests

- `file-upload.service.spec.ts`: initiate validation (folder allowlist,
size), presigned vs fallback target, confirm verification (missing
object, size mismatch, happy path, idempotency)
- `local.driver.spec.ts`: `writeFileStream` (content, symlink rejection,
partial-file cleanup on stream error), `getFileMetadata`
- `s3.driver.spec.ts`: `getPresignedUploadUrl` (disabled → null, PUT
command with signed content-type/content-length)
- `direct-file-upload.integration-spec.ts`: full end-to-end flow against
the local driver (initiate → PUT → complete → download), plus error
paths (complete without upload, oversized PUT → 413, invalid token →
403, unsupported folder, size above max)

## Notes for reviewers

- The upload-size ceiling for direct uploads is
`settings.storage.maxDirectUploadFileSize` (1GB), separate from the 10MB
`maxFileSize` used for pictures.
- Since content can't be sniffed before it reaches storage, the mime
type is derived from the file extension (with the existing
`TWENTY_MIME_POLICY` override) and unknown extensions fall back to
`application/octet-stream`; the serving path already forces
`Content-Disposition: attachment` for anything not on the inline-safe
allowlist.
- Self-hosters using S3 presign will need a bucket CORS policy allowing
`PUT` from the frontend origin (config variable description updated).

Félix Malfait 1cba0cdf49 fix(server): apply row-level security predicates to API key and application principals (#22456)
## What

Row-level security predicates were only resolved for **user**
principals. For API key and application principals, object-level and
field-level permissions were resolved (via
`resolveRolePermissionConfig`), but the row-level predicate role was
left `undefined`, so:

- on the read path, `buildRowLevelPermissionRecordFilter` returned
`null` and no `WHERE` clause was added; and
- on the write path, `validateRLSPredicatesForRecords` returned early
and skipped post-write validation.

The result was that a role carrying row-level predicates constrained
users as intended, but the same role applied to an API key or installed
application was subject only to its object/field permissions — not its
row filters.

## Changes

- Add `resolveRoleIdFromAuthContext`, a single helper that resolves the
effective role id for user, API key, and application principals.
- Use it in `applyRowLevelPermissionPredicates` (read) and
`validateRLSPredicatesForRecords` (write) so row-level predicates are
enforced for all principal types.
- Thread `apiKeyRoleMap` through `WorkspaceInternalContext` (it was
already available on the ORM workspace context).
- Refactor `resolveRolePermissionConfig` to reuse the same helper, so
object-, field-, and row-level checks all resolve the role identically.

`workspaceMember`-relative predicate values are still only bound for
user contexts (API keys/applications have no workspace member), matching
existing behaviour.

## Notes

- Enterprise-gated RLS code paths only.
- Could not run `nx typecheck`/lint in this environment (dependencies
not installed); changes reviewed manually. CI will validate.

Félix Malfait 5a4ebca226 refactor(server): unify the two metadata override mechanisms into one (#22417)
## Unify the two metadata override mechanisms into one

Twenty had **two** override mechanisms:

- **`standardOverrides`** — a bespoke JSONB column on
`objectMetadata`/`fieldMetadata` with typed DTOs and a per-locale
`translations` map, resolved by two i18n-aware resolvers.
- **`OverridableEntity.overrides`** — a flat, registry-driven JSONB blob
on view / view-field / view-field-group / command-menu-item /
page-layout-tab / page-layout-widget, resolved by a plain spread.

This PR collapses them into **one** concept: a single `overrides` blob,
one registry-driven overridable set, one i18n-aware read path, and one
write path (`computeMetadataOverridesBlob`, extracted in #22404).

Object/field **stay on `SyncableEntity`** (not reparented to
`OverridableEntity`) so their `isActive` default stays **FALSE** — this
sidesteps the `isActive` default conflict entirely.

### GraphQL breaking change (accepted)

The `standardOverrides` field is **removed** with no deprecation alias —
`overrides` (a `JSON` scalar) is exposed instead on `Object` and
`Field`. Product confirmed negligible external usage; the front-end has
no hand-written consumer (only generated types), which are regenerated
here.

### Commit structure (reviewable commit-by-commit)

1. **Unified resolver + parity harness** —
`resolveEffectiveEntityProperty` is a strict superset of the three
legacy resolvers; a corpus parity spec compares it against a *frozen
reference* of the old logic across every locale, `isStandardApp` branch
and override shape.
2. **Registry-driven** — object/field presentation props tagged
`isOverridable` + `translatable`; the overridable/translatable sets are
derived from the registry (a test asserts they equal the legacy
hardcoded lists).
3. **Rename + swap + delete** — `standardOverrides` → `overrides` across
entities, DTOs, flat/universal types, producers, the ~12
resolve/write/create/sync call sites, mocks and specs; the reconciler's
two compare entries collapse to one; the three legacy resolvers, both
DTOs and the hardcoded constants/types are deleted.
4. **Migration (zero-downtime, two-phase)** — split across two releases
so a rolling deploy never drops a column a previous-release pod still
`SELECT`s:
   - **2.19 fast** — add the `overrides` column (schema only).
- **2.19 slow** — backfill `overrides` from `standardOverrides` in
`runDataMigration` (kept out of the schema transaction so the bulk write
doesn't hold the ACCESS EXCLUSIVE lock; skipped on fresh installs, which
have no data to copy).
- **2.20 fast** — drop the legacy `standardOverrides` column (gated by
`TWENTY_NEXT_VERSIONS`, so it stays dormant until the instance reaches
2.20).
5. **Front/client-SDK regen** — regenerated metadata GraphQL types.
6. **Integration specs + i18n** — updated the standard object/field
update integration specs + snapshots, and the reworded validator message
catalog entry.

### Rolling-deploy safety

`standardOverrides` is retained through 2.19 and only dropped in 2.20,
mirroring the codebase's deferred-drop convention
(`isUIReadOnly`/`isCustom`). During the 2.19 rollout both columns exist,
so old and new pods coexist without "column does not exist" errors. The
backfill lives in a slow `runDataMigration` (per the
`no-data-mutation-in-fast-instance-command` rule) so it doesn't stall
reads.

### `isActive` guard

The migration never reads or writes `isActive`; the backfill asserts the
active-row count is unchanged and aborts otherwise. Verified on a real
DB: apply + revert preserves the blob **and** the nested `translations`
map, with `isActive` counts identical before/after.

### Verification (local)

- `nx typecheck twenty-server` + `nx typecheck twenty-front` — green
- `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` (oxlint `--type-aware` + oxfmt)
— green
- `nx test twenty-server` — green (unit + parity + registry + migration
tests)
- `nx run twenty-server:test:integration:with-db-reset` — green
- `database:reset` applies the 2.19 phases and leaves **both** columns
present (2.20 drop stays dormant); backfill + revert round-trip verified
on a real DB
- Metadata integration suites (standard object/field update, application
sync) pass end-to-end against the two-column schema
- Metadata GraphQL types regenerated against a booted server; zero
`standardOverrides` references remain in application code (only the
migration commands + the legacy schema baseline)

Weiko fab0358df5 Handle field isNullable update (#22362)
## Context

Setting isNullable on a field via the app SDK manifest was silently
ignored when re-syncing an existing field. The first sync that creates a
field honored isNullable correctly, but any later manifest change to
isNullable had no effect, neither on the field metadata nor on the
underlying Postgres column.

Two compounding gaps caused this:

The diff never detected the change. isNullable was configured with
toCompare: false, so compareTwoFlatEntity excluded it from the diff and
no update action was ever generated.
There was no DDL to apply it. Even if detected, the update field action
handler only altered name, options, defaultValue, and settings. The
column manager had no way to alter a column's NOT NULL constraint.

## Fix

- Set isNullable.toCompare: true so manifest changes are detected and
persisted to the field metadata (via the existing executeForMetadata
path).
- Add WorkspaceSchemaColumnManagerService.alterColumnNullable(): emits
SET NOT NULL / DROP NOT NULL, with an optional pre-serialized backfill
(UPDATE … WHERE col IS NULL) applied only on the nullable → non-nullable
transition.
- Add handleFieldNullableUpdate() to the update field action handler,
dispatched after the defaultValue block so the default is in place
before NOT NULL is enforced.
It is composite-aware (mirrors the per-sub-column parentIsNullable ||
!property.isRequired rule used at column creation) and skips
relation/morph join columns and TS_VECTOR, which are always nullable by
design.

Paul Rastoin b0d7516951 Deprecate asExpression from field metadata search_vector (#22287)
## Summary

Fully deprecates the cached `asExpression` / `generatedType` settings on
`TS_VECTOR` (searchVector) fields. Previously the generated-column
expression was stored in `FieldMetadataSettings` and kept in sync via
imperative recompute side-effects. It is now **derived at DDL time**
from the `searchFieldMetadata` rows that describe which fields feed the
search vector, making `searchFieldMetadata` the single source of truth
and removing a whole class of cache-drift bugs.

This is delivered across the milestones tracked in #2587 and coordinates
with the frontend migration (#1428).

## Why

- The searchVector expression lived in two places (stored
`settings.asExpression` + the actual generated column), kept consistent
by bespoke side-effects (`recompute-search-vector-on-field-rename`,
label-identifier recompute, etc.).
- The frontend reconstructed the searchable-fields list by
**regex-parsing** the stored `asExpression`.
- Both are brittle. Deriving the expression from `searchFieldMetadata`
rows at build/run time removes the cache and the parsing.

## What changed

### Server - data model & derivation
- Introduce the `tsVectorFieldMetadata` relation on
`searchFieldMetadata` (`tsVectorFieldMetadataId` / universal identifier)
linking each searchable-field row to its target `TS_VECTOR` field.
- New runtime derivation
`deriveSearchVectorAsExpressionForTsVectorField`
(`flat-search-field-metadata/utils/...`) used by the create-object and
update-field handlers to generate the column expression from
`searchFieldMetadata` rows.
- Remove `asExpression` / `generatedType` from stored settings:
`FieldMetadataSettings.TS_VECTOR` is now `null`; the column builder
(`generate-column-definitions.util.ts`) hardcodes `generatedType:
'STORED'` and requires the derived expression.
- Delete the imperative recompute side-effects and the
`compute-search-vector-universal-settings-from-object-manifest` path;
drop the `settings` block from all 28 standard
`compute-*-standard-flat-field-metadata` utils.

### Server - migration runner
- New `rebuildSearchVector` marker on `update-field` actions: the
orchestrator synthesizes targeted column rebuilds
(`compute-search-vector-rebuild-target-universal-identifiers.util.ts` +
the deprioritize aggregator) only when a searchFieldMetadata change or
indexed-field rename actually requires it - instead of rebuilding on
every settings touch.
- Deferrable FKs + in-flight ID resolution so a `searchFieldMetadata`
row and its `TS_VECTOR` field can be created in the same transaction
(deterministic UUIDs).

### Frontend (contract change, #1428)
- New `SearchFieldMetadataDTO` + dataloader exposing
`searchFieldMetadataList` on object metadata.
- `SettingsObjectSearchSection` now reads
`objectMetadataItem.searchFieldMetadatas` instead of parsing
`asExpression`; new `SearchFieldMetadataItem` type, fragment, and
mapping updates.

### Upgrade commands (2.18)
-
`2-18-instance-command-fast-...-add-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-to-search-field-metadata`
-
`2-18-instance-command-fast-...-make-search-field-metadata-fks-deferrable`
-
`2-18-instance-command-slow-...-backfill-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-on-search-field-metadata`

(These were relocated from 2.16 to 2.18 and re-timestamped into an
ordered block - add column -> make FK deferrable -> backfill data -
since 2.16/2.17 are released.)

### Tests
- Updated search-vector side-effect integration specs to assert behavior
(search works) rather than the now-removed `asExpression`; removed the
obsolete expression-validation specs; refreshed the application-sync
snapshot (`universalSettings: null`).

## Upgrade / compatibility notes
- Existing workspaces keep their stored `settings` until a later
cleanup; nothing reads it anymore. The new derivation drives all DDL
going forward.
- Schema changes are gated behind the 2.18 instance commands above.

## Known follow-up (separate PR)
https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2620
- The column rebuild (`DROP`/`ADD` of the `searchVector` STORED column)
cascade-drops its GIN index and does not recreate it - a pre-existing
regression on `main` inherited here. A follow-up PR will fix the rebuild
handler to recreate the GIN index and add a 2.18 workspace command to
recompute every search vector + strip the deprecated settings.
(Planned.)

## Test plan
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` / `twenty-front`
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` / `twenty-front`
- [ ] Server integration: create/update/delete field, rename indexed
field, update object - search returns expected records
- [ ] Run the 2.18 instance commands on a seeded DB; verify
`tsVectorFieldMetadataId` backfilled and FKs deferrable
- [ ] Frontend: object Search settings tab lists the correct searchable
fields (no `asExpression` parsing)

Marie 4eb28b73c7 fix(server): normalize legacy index names (command) (#22053)
## TL;DR

Adds a workspace upgrade command that normalizes index names to the
current v2 deterministic naming convention (IDX_ prefix). This will
close https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/issues/21383 : uniqueness
constraint cannot be disabled (for users who set it before v2
determinist naming is enforced).

### Background

The deterministic index name embeds the table name, columns, uniqueness
and where clause. The naming convention changed on **2025-09-23**
(#14567 - added the `IDX_`/`IDX_UNIQUE_` prefix and folded the table
name into the hash). Index rows created before that kept their old name
in `core."indexMetadata"`, and nothing rewrites it (only targeted
phone/relation rebuilds got new names).

Code paths that locate an index by recomputing its expected name then
miss these legacy-named rows. The most visible symptom is #21383:
toggling a field's `isUnique` from `true` → `false` recomputes the
expected unique-index name, fails to find the legacy-named index, and
silently no-ops — so uniqueness can't be disabled.

### What the command does

Per workspace, for each index:
- recomputes the expected name with the same generator the app uses
(`generateFlatIndexMetadataWithNameOrThrow`);
- if the stored name differs → **rename** it (metadata `UPDATE` + a new
metadata-only `ALTER INDEX … RENAME`, which preserves the unique
constraint with no rebuild/lock);
- if a correctly-named twin already exists (the legacy +
freshly-generated duplicate case) → **drop the redundant** one (physical
+ metadata, field rows cascade) and keep the canonical;
- invalidates the metadata cache so the running app + `isUnique`
derivation reflect the new names.

Honors `--dry-run`, wraps writes in a transaction (rolls back on error),
and skips (with a warning) any single index whose name can't be
recomputed so it can't abort the whole workspace.

### Notable changes
- New `renameIndex` on `WorkspaceSchemaIndexManagerService` (`ALTER
INDEX IF EXISTS … RENAME`).
- Planning logic extracted into a pure, unit-tested util
(`planIndexNameNormalization`).

Etienne 56deba351b feat(ai): reliable bulk data import via code-interpreter (#22209)
## Summary

Makes AI-assisted bulk data import (CSV/Excel/spreadsheets) reliable and
token-efficient by letting an entire import run inside a single
code-interpreter call, with a persistent sandbox session and server-side
bulk helpers. Also includes supporting improvements to attachment
handling, upsert reporting, and field-permission error messages.

## Changes

### Code interpreter
- **Persistent per-session kernel** in `LocalDriver`: a long-lived
Python process per `sessionId` keeps variables, imports, and files alive
across calls (matching E2B behavior). Falls back to the existing
ephemeral per-call path when no session is provided. CAN BE REMOVED,
INTERESTING FOR DEV X
- Idle watchdog that self-terminates the kernel, configurable via the
new `CODE_INTERPRETER_IDLE_TIMEOUT_MS` config variable; the process also
exits on parent shutdown (EOF on control fd). CAN BE REMOVED,
INTERESTING FOR DEV X
- New `bulk_upsert` and `lookup_by` helpers on the sandbox `twenty`
object for idempotent batched writes (≤200/batch) and bounded
relation-ID resolution.

### Records
- `upsert_many_*` now reports a `created` / `updated` / `total` split in
its result and log line (new `isFreshlyCreatedRecord` util).

### AI chat
- `replaceUnsupportedFileParts`: user-attached files whose MIME type the
model can't handle natively (and that aren't code-interpreter-supported)
are downgraded to a descriptive text note instead of being sent as
unsupported file parts. Modality→MIME mapping drives native support
detection.
- Finalize dangling tool parts before `convertToModelMessages` to avoid
malformed model messages.
- Extracted shared types/constants for code-interpreter file extraction.

### Permissions
- Field permission-denied exceptions now include the field name and
entity name for easier debugging.

### Skill docs
- Added the bulk-import recipe

## To do in following PR
- [ ] Skill command migration

## Test plan
- [x] Unit tests for `getNativeMimeTypesForModalities` and
`replaceUnsupportedFileParts` pass
- [x] Run a bulk import (>50 rows) end-to-end through the code
interpreter and verify a single sandbox call handles read → resolve
relations → upsert → summary
- [x] Verify session persistence: define a variable in one call, use it
in the next within the same session
- [x] Verify the kernel self-terminates after
`CODE_INTERPRETER_IDLE_TIMEOUT_MS`
- [x] Verify unsupported attachments are replaced with a text note for
models lacking the modality
- [x] Verify `upsert_many_*` returns correct created/updated counts
- [x] Verify field-restricted role triggers a permission error naming
the field and entity
- [ ] Test with
[hotel_business.xlsx](https://github.com/user-attachments/files/29376307/hotel_business.xlsx)
and simple "import record" prompt

alibildir 35d64ac7f2 fix(server): wrap file storage upsert and read in transaction (#21924)
## Summary
This PR fixes a race condition occurring during file and image uploads
in environments that use Pgpool-II or similar connection poolers with
read-replica scaling.

Currently, in `FileStorageService.writeFile`, `fileRepository.upsert`
writes the file record to the primary database node. However, the
immediate subsequent call to `fileRepository.findOneOrFail` is executed
outside of a transaction. Consequently, connection poolers like Pgpool
can route this `SELECT` query to a read-replica. Due to replication lag,
the replica may not yet reflect the newly inserted record, throwing an
`EntityNotFoundError` and failing the upload process (even though the
file is successfully saved in S3 and the database).

This PR wraps both operations in a TypeORM database transaction when
`queryRunner` is not provided. This ensures that the `SELECT` query
correctly targets the primary node, guaranteeing immediate
read-after-write consistency.

## Affected version
- Twenty Self-hosted (e.g. `v2.14.x`) configured with
Pgpool/read-replicas.

## Changes Made
- **`file-storage.service.ts`**: Wrapped `transactionalFileRepo.upsert`
and `transactionalFileRepo.findOneOrFail` within
`this.applicationRepository.manager.transaction` to ensure
read-after-write consistency.

## How to Test
1. Set up Twenty in a self-hosted environment using Pgpool configured
with load balancing / read-replicas.
2. Attempt to upload a file to a `Files` custom field or upload an image
as an organization logo.
3. Observe that the upload completes successfully without throwing an
`EntityNotFoundError` in the server logs.

Félix Malfait 614bc7b7e6 feat: serve HTTP logic functions on isolated *.withtwenty.com domain (#22045)
## Summary

Implements
[core-team-issues#2473](https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2473):
serve HTTP-triggered logic functions from a dedicated, **cookieless**
public domain (`{workspaceSubdomain}.withtwenty.com`) instead of the
same-site `/s/` route, so functions can safely return **arbitrary
headers** — custom headers, `Permissions-Policy`
(camera/mic/geolocation), `Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy: same-origin`,
`Cross-Origin-Embedder-Policy: require-corp`, `Set-Cookie`, etc.

The `/s/` route stays the strict, same-site path it is today.
**Self-hosting is unchanged** — everything new is gated on
`PUBLIC_DOMAIN_URL` being set.

### Why

Today user-authored function responses are served same-site with the
Twenty app, so the response-header allow-list is restricted to 5 safe
headers and request headers are limited to a per-function allow-list.
Serving from an origin that shares nothing with `*.twenty.com` removes
that constraint safely — the same "user content domain" pattern as
GitHub (`*.githubusercontent.com`) and CodeSandbox (`*.csb.app`).

## What's in here

**Routing**
- The **root-path → `/s` rewrite happens at the nginx ingress**, not in
app code. The existing `api-ingress.yaml` already rewrites root paths
onto `/s` (host-agnostically) when the edge sets
`X-Twenty-Public-Domain: true`, so `*.withtwenty.com` and registered
custom public domains are handled by the same mechanism. (An earlier
in-app middleware was removed as a redundant, wrong-layer duplicate.)
- `WorkspaceDomainsService.resolveWorkspaceAndPublicDomain` recognizes
`*.` subdomains, resolves the workspace by subdomain, and returns
`isIsolatedOrigin`. Explicitly registered public-domain rows still take
precedence and keep their application scoping. The ingress preserves the
`Host` header, so this resolution still fires.

**Headers (server)**
- Isolated origin → all response headers pass through and all request
headers are forwarded. Same-site `/s/` keeps the strict allow-lists.
(Global CORS already handles preflight/ACAO.)

**`/s/` deprecation for new routes (cloud only)**
- New `LOGIC_FUNCTION_LEGACY_ROUTE_CUTOFF` config var (ISO date,
optional). When `PUBLIC_DOMAIN_URL` is set, functions created on/after
the cutoff return **410 Gone** on `/s/` with the new URL. Existing
routes and self-hosted instances are untouched.

**Frontend education**
- `publicFunctionDomain` added to `ClientConfig` (from
`PUBLIC_DOMAIN_URL`).
- The logic-function **Live URL** now resolves to
`https://{workspaceSubdomain}.{publicFunctionDomain}{path}` on cloud,
falling back to `/s/` for self-hosting.
- Front components call their functions through the SDK
(`RestApiClient`), which now targets the isolated domain via the
injected `TWENTY_FUNCTIONS_URL`.
- New **"Public URL"** section on the application **Settings** tab
explaining the isolated domain (shown when the app exposes
HTTP-triggered functions).

**Docs**: note the `withtwenty.com` domain for external callers in the
apps guide.

## Infra prerequisites (not code — needs dashboard work)
- Wildcard DNS `*.withtwenty.com` (proxied) + wildcard TLS in the
public-domain Cloudflare zone.
- Edge (Cloudflare) sets `X-Twenty-Public-Domain: true` for
`*.withtwenty.com` requests, so the existing nginx ingress rewrites them
onto `/s` (same header the custom-domain flow already relies on).
- Set `PUBLIC_DOMAIN_URL=https://withtwenty.com` on cloud.
- Submit `withtwenty.com` to the **Public Suffix List** (required for
cross-tenant cookie isolation before relying on `Set-Cookie`).

## Test plan
- [x] `nx typecheck twenty-server`, `nx typecheck twenty-front`
- [x] `lint:diff-with-main` + oxfmt clean (server + front)
- [x] `npx jest route-trigger public-function-domain
domain-server-config workspace-domains build-logic-function-event
client-config` → server unit tests passing (resolution tiers, header
passthrough vs allow-list, `/s/` cutoff 410)
- [x] `npx jest getLogicFunctionHttpUrl` (front) and `nx test
twenty-client-sdk` (RestApiClient routing) passing
- [x] CI green (server, front, sdk, renderer, ui, zapier, example apps)
- [ ] Manual: hit `{subdomain}.withtwenty.com/` end-to-end once infra is
provisioned

# Introduction

The devpx wasn't prepare for an already existing entity becoming a

Though the search field metadata entity was dormant anw
So considering it has been introduced starting from 2.16 is the quickest
and easiest tradeoff we can get

This PR is also reverting this one

way to decorate an entity at class level. But it did not fixed the issue

Here the search field metadata has been created as it without extending
the syncableEntity a previous PR I've created now extends it, but
nothing has been protected the fact they're not decorated. Also having

Paul Rastoin e9d5d71cd3 Wire up search field metadata (#21964)
## Part 1 - Exact scope of the current PR (#21964)

close https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2586

This PR introduces `searchFieldMetadata` as a first-class flat metadata
entity and migrates the existing search surface onto it, with **no
change to which records are searchable** (ISO with `main`).

In scope (what the PR does):
- New flat entity `searchFieldMetadata` (universalIdentifier,
applicationId, **`position`**, maps, conversions), registered in the
central flat-entity constants and the migration build orchestrator.
- `searchVector.asExpression` is **derived server-side** from
`searchFieldMetadata` rows (validated by `isSafeTsVectorExpression`);
never trusted from client input.
- **Derivation order is deterministic, driven by each row's `position`**
([compute-search-vector-as-expression-from-search-field-metadatas.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-search-field-metadata/utils/compute-search-vector-as-expression-from-search-field-metadatas.util.ts)),
replacing the previous non-deterministic `(createdAt, id)` sort. That
sort collapsed to random UUIDs for standard fields (same `createdAt`),
so any rename/relabel rewrote the `STORED` generated column to a
logically-identical-but-textually-different expression and produced a
permanent per-workspace diff vs the standard definition. Ordering now
equals provisioning order; ties break on `universalIdentifier`.
- Provisioning at object creation mirrors the existing surface exactly
**and seeds `position`**:
- custom objects -> the `name` field only, at `position: 0`
([build-default-search-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/object-metadata/utils/build-default-search-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts))
- standard objects -> their curated `SEARCH_FIELDS_FOR_*` sets,
`position` = the curated index
- Backfill (instance + workspace commands in `2-16`) provisions rows for
existing workspaces with the same surface **and the same positions**
(standard from the curated standard maps, custom `name` = `0`), scoped
to the workspace's own custom application
([build-search-field-metadata-backfill-operations.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/database/commands/upgrade-version-command/2-16/utils/build-search-field-metadata-backfill-operations.util.ts)).
The `position` column is added in the same `2-16` fast instance command
as `universalIdentifier`/`applicationId`.
- Field rename of an already-indexed field recomputes `asExpression`
(positions preserved, so order is stable)
([recompute-search-vector-on-field-rename.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-field-metadata/utils/recompute-search-vector-on-field-rename.util.ts)).
- Field delete drops the matching row(s) and recomputes; remaining rows
keep their relative order (no renumber)
([from-delete-field-input-to-flat-field-metadatas-to-delete.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-field-metadata/utils/from-delete-field-input-to-flat-field-metadatas-to-delete.util.ts)).
- Object relabel is **additive** and ISO/regression-fix only: it indexes
the new label identifier **appended last (`position = max(existing) +
1`)** without dropping `name`
([recompute-search-vector-on-label-identifier-update.util.ts](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-object-metadata/utils/recompute-search-vector-on-label-identifier-update.util.ts)).
This is a deliberate, temporary bridge.

Explicitly OUT of scope (deferred):
- No API to edit `searchFieldMetadata` (no user-facing search-field
configuration, including `position` — it is internal and only written by
provisioning/backfill/recompute).
- No auto-indexing of arbitrary searchable fields. Creating a custom
TEXT/EMAILS/etc. field does NOT add it to search (the
`computeSearchFieldMetadataCreationForFields` behavior was removed in
`e6820ad`).
- No field-type-transition handling (field type is immutable - not in
`FLAT_FIELD_METADATA_EDITABLE_PROPERTIES`, so that path was dead code).
- No `position` validation (uniqueness/range) and no multi-vector /
per-field `weight` config — deferred to the configurable-search
follow-up (#1428).

Net: `searchFieldMetadata` becomes the source of truth for the *same*
surface as `main`. The only intentional divergences from `main` are
"relabel preserves `name`" (additive) and the deterministic
`position`-ordered `asExpression` (a correctness/perf fix that is
byte-identical to provisioning order, so it does not change the
searchable surface).

Abdullah. c171c62099 chore(twenty-server): upgrade typeorm to 0.3.29 (#21957)
## Summary

Upgrades **typeorm `0.3.26` → `0.3.29`** and adapts the twenty-orm
`update`/`upsert` overrides to typeorm's newly-added
`options.returning`. Upgrading to resolve
[this](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/security/dependabot/1573)
alert.

## Why

`0.3.29` is the latest release compatible with
`@ptc-org/nestjs-query-typeorm` (peers `typeorm@^0.3.15`; the `1.x` line
has no compatible release, so it's blocked until that dependency moves).

## Changes

**`chore` — bump**
- `typeorm` patch descriptor `0.3.26 → 0.3.29` + `yarn.lock`.
- Local patch carried over **unchanged** (pure rename) — both hunks
(`PickKeysByType` nullable-awareness, `DeleteResult.generatedMaps`) are
still absent upstream in `0.3.29`, so it remains load-bearing.

**`refactor` — adapt overrides**
- `0.3.29` adds `options?: UpdateOptions` (carrying `returning`) to
`EntityManager`/`Repository` `update()`. The override must accept it at
the base-mandated position, so it's added as its **own dedicated
parameter** (not hidden inside `permissionOptions`), honoring
`options.returning` with a fallback to Twenty's permission-aware
`selectedColumns` (`'*'` default).
- The same merge is applied to `upsert()`, which already received
`UpsertOptions` but was dropping its `returning` field — so both write
methods now treat the option identically.
- Internal call sites + specs updated for the new parameter slot.

## Verification

- `nx typecheck twenty-server` — **0 errors**
- twenty-orm unit tests — **191 / 191 pass**
- `oxlint` / `oxfmt` — clean

Kartik Pant eefae87296 fix: surface proper errors for People create/delete constraint violations (#21270)
## Summary

Fixes #21119 — `createPerson` / `deletePerson` mutations fail with a
generic `INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR: "Data validation error."` instead of a
meaningful error, blocking core CRM record management.

## Root Cause

The `computeTwentyORMException` function in `twenty-orm` contains a
catch-all block that matches **every known Postgres error code** via
`Object.values(POSTGRESQL_ERROR_CODES).includes(errorCode)` and discards
all error detail, throwing:

```ts
throw new PostgresException('Data validation error.', errorCode);
```

This `PostgresException` is then converted by the GraphQL error handler
into `INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR`, masking the real constraint violation.
Common mutations like `createPerson` that hit:
- **`NOT_NULL_VIOLATION` (23502)** — a required field is missing
- **`FOREIGN_KEY_VIOLATION` (23503)** — referenced record missing or
deletion blocked by a FK
- **`RESTRICT_VIOLATION` (23001)** — record deletion blocked by a
referencing row

...all silently surface as the same opaque `"Data validation error."`
with `INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR`.

Already handled correctly before the catch-all:
- `UNIQUE_VIOLATION` → delegates to `handleDuplicateKeyError`
- `INVALID_TEXT_REPRESENTATION` → `TwentyORMException(INVALID_INPUT)`
- Query read timeout → `TwentyORMException(QUERY_READ_TIMEOUT)`

## Fix

Add explicit handling **before** the catch-all for the four most common
data-integrity constraint errors, converting them to
`TwentyORMException(INVALID_INPUT)` with a clear user-facing message.
The GraphQL error handler then returns `BAD_USER_INPUT` (400) instead of
`INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR` (500).

## Changes

###
`packages/twenty-server/src/engine/twenty-orm/error-handling/compute-twenty-orm-exception.ts`

Added specific handling for:
| Postgres Code | Constant | User-facing message |
|---|---|---|
| `23502` | `NOT_NULL_VIOLATION` | "A required field is missing. Please
provide all required values and try again." |
| `23503` | `FOREIGN_KEY_VIOLATION` | "This operation references a
record that does not exist or cannot be modified due to existing
relationships." |
| `23001` | `RESTRICT_VIOLATION` | "This record cannot be deleted
because it is still referenced by other records." |

## Before / After

**Before:**
```json
{
  "data": { "createPerson": null },
  "errors": [{
    "message": "Data validation error.",
    "extensions": { "code": "INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR" }
  }]
}
```

**After (e.g. NOT_NULL_VIOLATION):**
```json
{
  "data": { "createPerson": null },
  "errors": [{
    "message": "A required field is missing. Please provide all required values and try again.",
    "extensions": { "code": "BAD_USER_INPUT" }
  }]
}
Thomas Trompette 22baf2c6c5 fix(server): prevent enum migration failure for long identifier names (#21748)
Fixes https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/issues/20524
## Problem
Adding (or renaming/removing) an option on a `SELECT` / `MULTI_SELECT`
field failed for fields whose object + field name combination is long,
surfacing to the user only as:
> Migration action 'update' for 'fieldMetadata' failed — Migration
execution failed.
The real underlying Postgres error was:
```
type "_personalInsurancePolicyOrQuote_insuranceCoverageClassification" already exists
ALTER TYPE "..."."_personalInsurancePolicyOrQuote_insuranceCoverageClassifications_enum"
  RENAME TO "..._insuranceCoverageClassifications_enum_old"
```
## Root cause
PostgreSQL truncates identifiers to **63 bytes** (`NAMEDATALEN - 1`).
The enum type name
`_personalInsurancePolicyOrQuote_insuranceCoverageClassifications_enum`
is **69 chars**, so it was already stored truncated to 63
(`..._insuranceCoverageClassification` — the `_enum` suffix chopped
off).
Multi-select / select option changes go through the rename-and-recreate
path in `alterEnumValues`, which renames the enum to `<name>_old`. That
candidate is 73 chars → Postgres truncates it back to the **same 63-byte
string** as the source → `type "..." already exists`. The failure is
deterministic, so every retry on that field failed. The transaction
rolls back cleanly, leaving no `_old` artifacts behind.
The temporary column name (`<column>_old`) had the same latent bug for
very long field names.
## Fix
Add `buildTemporaryIdentifier(base, suffix)` to
`WorkspaceSchemaEnumManagerService`, which trims the base name so the
`_old` suffix survives within 63 bytes and stays distinct from the
original. Applied to both the temporary enum name and the temporary
column name.
The `_old` type/column are transient (dropped within the same
transaction), so the trimmed name only needs to fit and not collide —
which it now does.
## Test
Added `workspace-schema-enum-manager.service.spec.ts` reproducing the
exact failing object/field names. Both assertions (target identifier ≤
63 bytes; truncated source ≠ truncated target) fail on `main` and pass
with the fix.
## Recovery
No manual cleanup needed for affected workspaces — failed migrations
rolled back cleanly. Once deployed, option edits on long-named fields
work; the field remained fully usable in the meantime (only option
changes were blocked).
Weiko 3ee93b5ec9 feat(server): add isSystemSideEffect & merge createOneObject/createOneField side-effect migrations (#21673)
## Context
When an object is created via the metadata API, `createOneObject`
creates its side-effect entities (INDEX view + viewFields, indexes,
navigation menu item, "go to" command menu item, record-page fields
view, page layout/tabs/widgets) across **three separate
`validateBuildAndRunWorkspaceMigration` calls**, purely because the
protection behavior (mutations → overrides, delete → deactivate, reset →
reactivate) was keyed on *"owned by the standard app"*, forcing the side
effects into batches with different application owners. This
misrepresents ownership and breaks atomicity.
This PR separates two orthogonal concepts:
- **Ownership** (`applicationId`), the true owner: the caller's
application (the workspace custom app today, 3rd-party apps later).
- **Protection** (`isSystemSideEffect`), the row was generated by the
system, so user mutations route to overrides, deletion becomes
deactivation, and reset restores defaults.
Once side effects are re-owned to the caller, the old `applicationId ===
standardApp` check can no longer tell an original side-effect row from a
user-added one so a dedicated `isSystemSideEffect` flag carries the
protection instead.
This is **PR 1 of 2** (forward-only). It makes newly created objects and
fields correct; existing workspaces are handled by a follow-up backfill
(see *Out of scope*).
## What this PR does
- **`isSystemSideEffect` column** on the 8 affected entities (`view`,
`viewField`, `indexMetadata`, `commandMenuItem`, `pageLayout`,
`pageLayoutTab`, `pageLayoutWidget`, `fieldMetadata`), with
`@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` + an entry in the flat-entity property
configuration (`toCompare: true`, read-only).
- **Single atomic migration in `createOneObject`**: the three
`validateBuildAndRunWorkspaceMigration` calls are merged into one, owned
by the caller (`resolvedOwnerFlatApplication`) and the record-page
view/fields, page layout, and navigation command item are re-owned to
the caller and flagged `isSystemSideEffect: true`.
`buildNavigationFlatCommandMenuItem` is parameterized with
`applicationUniversalIdentifier` (no longer hardcoded to the standard
app).
- **Field-creation side effects** (`createManyFields`/`createOneField`
already run as a single caller-owned migration, so no re-ownership/merge
was needed): the auto-created viewField is flagged `isSystemSideEffect:
true`, and a new field now also propagates to the object's **INDEX/table
view** (added there as a **hidden** column, `isVisible: false`) in
addition to
the record-page FIELDS widget. The INDEX view is targeted directly by
`key = INDEX` (it is not a page-layout widget), de-duplicated per
`(viewId, fieldMetadataUniversalIdentifier)` to respect the per-view
unique index.
The unique-field index is likewise flagged the inverse relation field
stays unflagged (`isSystem: false`).
- **Protection predicate** extended: `isCallerOverridingEntity` and the
removal/reset split strategies now treat `isSystemSideEffect` rows as
protected even when caller-owned (route to
overrides / deactivate / reset) and the page-layout-reset guards allow
resetting flagged entities.
- **Standard compute maps** set the flag consistently so a re-sync
produces no diff (standard-object side effects stay `false`; per-object
nav command items and custom-object base fields are `true`).
- **Read-only GraphQL exposure** of `isSystemSideEffect` on the view /
view-field / page-layout / tab / widget / command-menu-item DTOs (not
exposed on create/update inputs). => Todo: needs to take this new flag
into account. This is fine for now because isSystem remains on
object/field.
- **Fast instance command** (`2-14`) adding the 8 columns (`NOT NULL
DEFAULT false`).
## Scope decisions
- **`pageLayout` is not an `OverridableEntity`**, its own row has
nothing user-overridable (all customization lives on tabs/widgets). It's
dual-purpose (`RECORD_PAGE` side-effect vs. user `DASHBOARD`), so it
gets `isSystemSideEffect` for protection only, no `overrides` jsonb.
- **`navigationMenuItem` is out of scope.**: Those are side effects only
for the metadata API and not marked as "system" (they can be
deleted/updated etc...)
- **`viewFieldGroup` is not a side effect**, it's only created via the
explicit view-field-group API, never by object/field creation, so it
gets no flag.
## Out of scope (follow-ups)
**PR 2** — slow per-workspace backfill (re-own + flag existing side
effects, recreate missing ones) and deterministic v5 identifiers for
base fields / pageLayout / tab.
Félix Malfait 09f0c9e29a fix(address): coerce addressLat/addressLng to numbers in ORM result formatting (#21542)
## Fixes #21390
Saved addresses render as the **"Empty"** placeholder in the record
detail / side panel when `addressLat`/`addressLng` are populated (e.g.
after picking a Google autocomplete suggestion). The list view shows the
address correctly.
## Root cause
`addressLat`/`addressLng` are `NUMERIC` composite subfields, stored as
Postgres `numeric` columns — which the `pg` driver returns as
**strings** to preserve precision.
The ORM result formatter already normalizes this for Currency, but not
for Address. In
`packages/twenty-server/src/engine/twenty-orm/utils/format-result.util.ts`,
`formatCompositeFieldValue` had a case for `CURRENCY.amountMicros`
(`parseInt`) but **no case for `ADDRESS`**, so coordinates were passed
through as raw strings.
This only breaks the **record detail**, not the list view, because:
- The **standard GraphQL (Yoga) path** masks it — the `BigFloat`
scalar's `serialize()` runs `parseFloat()` and quietly turns the string
into a number on the wire.
- The **direct-execution path** formats results itself and bypasses
scalar serialization, so the string reaches the frontend. There,
`addressFieldValueSchema` validates lat/lng with `z.number()` →
`isFieldAddressValue` returns `false` → `isFieldValueEmpty` returns
`true` → `RecordInlineCellDisplayMode` renders the placeholder. The
table cell renders the value directly with no empty-check, so the list
view is unaffected.
## Why it surfaced now
The `z.number()` constraint on lat/lng is old ("latent since the address
guard was introduced"). The trigger was **#19254 (2026-04-03) "Remove
direct execution feature flag"**, which made direct execution always-on
for workspace queries — the same PR added string→number coercion for
aggregates but not for composite subfields. **#21033** (the PR the issue
blames) only made `addressStreet1` nullable; it didn't touch lat/lng,
but by fixing the overlapping null-street1 case it isolated and exposed
this one.
## Fix
Add the `ADDRESS` case to `formatCompositeFieldValue`, mirroring
Currency. Coordinates are fractional, so `parseFloat` is used (Currency
uses `parseInt` because micros are integers). This is the exact
operation the `BigFloat` scalar already performs, so there is no
behavior change on the standard path — it just makes direct execution
consistent, and lat/lng are now numbers everywhere (matching
`FieldAddressValue`). No frontend change is needed.
## Scope check — similar bugs in other field types/composites
This bug class = a transforming scalar `serialize` that direct execution
doesn't replicate. The only scalar that changes a pg-returned type for a
real field is `BigFloat` (`NUMERIC` → number). The only `NUMERIC` fields
are the two composite subfields:
- `CURRENCY.amountMicros` — already handled
- `ADDRESS.addressLat` / `addressLng` — fixed here
Standalone `NUMERIC` is not user-creatable (it's in
`SettingsExcludedFieldType`). Other scalars were checked and don't
diverge: `Date.serialize` is identity; `NUMBER`/`POSITION` are stored as
`float8` and returned as numbers (and `NUMBER` is already coerced in
direct execution); `DATE_TIME` resolves to the same ISO string via both
paths. So `ADDRESS` was the last gap.
## Tests
- New `format-result.util.spec.ts`: `addressLat`/`addressLng` strings
parse to numbers, already-number coordinates pass through,
numeric-looking text subfields (e.g. `addressPostcode: "10001"`) are
**not** coerced, and the existing Currency `amountMicros` coercion still
holds.
- `npx jest format-result.util.spec` → 4 passed
- `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` → 0 warnings, 0 errors
- `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` → pass
## Follow-ups (not in this PR)
- The cross-path parity integration test (#18972) doesn't cover a record
with address coordinates — worth adding so this class can't regress.
- `formatAddressDisplay` falls back to `ALLOWED_ADDRESS_SUBFIELDS`
(which includes lat/lng) when a field has no `subFields` configured,
unlike `getEnabledAddressSubFields` (which falls back to the text-only
`DEFAULT_VISIBLE_ADDRESS_SUBFIELDS`). Harmless now that coordinates are
numbers (filtered by `isNonEmptyString`), but a latent inconsistency.
Félix Malfait 1efa3567ef Rename isUIReadOnly to isUIEditable, add isUICreatable, expose both to app developers (#21504)
<!-- CURSOR_AGENT_PR_BODY_BEGIN -->
# UI capability flags: `isUIEditable` + `isUICreatable`
## Per-verb capability model
This PR replaces the negative `isUIReadOnly` metadata flag with
positive, per-verb capability flags (à la Salesforce
`createable`/`updateable`):
- **`isUIEditable: boolean`, default `true`** — rename of `isUIReadOnly`
with inverted polarity, on **both** `objectMetadata` and
`fieldMetadata`. It is one concept ("can the user edit this through the
generic UI?") at two altitudes, so it carries one name at both levels.
- **`isUICreatable: boolean`, default `true`** — new, **object-level
only** (fields have no create verb). When `false`, no generic UI
affordance to create a record of this object appears anywhere (table "+"
buttons, board column add, calendar add, relation-section "Add new",
record picker "Add new", command-menu create action and its keyboard
shortcut).
Both flags are **UI-affordance flags only**: the server does not block
create/edit mutations based on them, so the system, API, and workflows
continue to mutate these records freely. They are orthogonal statements
about the object's nature with no implication rule in the data model.
Because today's inline creation UX creates a blank record the user must
then edit, the frontend create predicate currently requires both
`isUICreatable` and effective editability.
There is no CREATE permission in `ObjectPermissions`; the frontend keeps
gating creation on `canUpdateObjectRecords` as a proxy, ANDed with the
new flags.
## Unified create predicate
All generic creation entry points now flow through one predicate,
`canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem` (`isUICreatable` && not
`isSystem` && not effectively read-only, where effective read-only
covers `isUIEditable`, `isRemote`, and the `canUpdateObjectRecords`
proxy via `isObjectMetadataReadOnly`). This deletes the previously
hardcoded suppression lists:
- `isRecordTableCreateDisabled.ts` and its hardcoded
`WorkflowRun`/`WorkflowVersion` list — deleted; those objects (plus
`workspaceMember`) now declare `isUICreatable: false` in the standard
application instead.
- The hardcoded `workspaceMember` guard inside
`useAddNewRecordAndOpenSidePanel.ts` — deleted.
- The `CREATE_NEW_RECORD` command menu item's availability expression
now checks `objectMetadataItem.isUICreatable`, `isUIEditable`,
`isSystem`, and `isRemote`; a workspace upgrade command re-syncs the
expression in existing workspaces.
Component-local conditions (soft-delete filter active, layout
customization mode) stay in their components.
## GraphQL compatibility and removal plan
The schema delta versus main is **purely additive plus deprecations —
zero breaking changes**:
- `isUIReadOnly` remains on both the ObjectMetadata and FieldMetadata
GraphQL output types for **one release** as a deprecated field computed
as `!isUIEditable` (`deprecationReason: 'Use isUIEditable'`). The Twenty
frontend no longer queries it.
- `isUIReadOnly` also remains on the **input side** for one release
(`CreateFieldInput`, `UpdateFieldInput`, `FieldFilter`, `ObjectFilter`),
keeping the schema shape identical to main for those members. On create
it acts as a legacy alias mapped to `!isUIReadOnly` (`isUIEditable` wins
when both are provided); on update it is ignored, exactly as on main (it
was never an editable property). Filtering on the deprecated member
keeps working until the column is dropped at upgrade time; after that it
is a deprecated no-op surface kept only for schema compatibility.
**Removal plan for next release: drop `isUIReadOnly` from the output
DTOs (and resolvers' `@ResolveField`s), from the input/filter types,
from the create-input mapping, and the `@WasRemovedInUpgrade`-retained
entity columns and decorators.**
## ⚠️ Webhook / database-event payload shape change
The `database-event-payload` type in `twenty-shared` got a clean rename
(no alias): metadata snapshots in webhook and database-event payloads
now carry `isUIEditable` (and `isUICreatable` at object level) **instead
of** `isUIReadOnly`, with inverted polarity. Consumers of these payloads
that read `isUIReadOnly` must switch to `isUIEditable`.
## New manifest properties (app-developer DX)
Application developers can now set these flags in their app manifests
(purely additive — existing manifests and older `twenty-sdk` versions
are unaffected, defaults apply when omitted):
- `objects[].isUICreatable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `objects[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `fields[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)
The manifest converters previously hardcoded `isUIReadOnly: false`; they
now read the manifest values with `?? true` defaults. The types are
re-exported through `twenty-sdk` from `twenty-shared`.
## Migration & backfill
- One fast instance command: adds `isUIEditable` (NOT NULL default
`true`) on `core."objectMetadata"` and `core."fieldMetadata"`, backfills
`isUIEditable = false` exactly where `isUIReadOnly = true`, drops
`isUIReadOnly`, and adds `isUICreatable` (default `true`) on
`objectMetadata`. The `down` is the exact inverse. Uses `ADD/DROP COLUMN
IF (NOT) EXISTS`, matching the 2-12 drop-`isCustom` precedent. Verified
up and down in separate transactions against a dev database with exact
backfill counts.
- **Cross-version upgrade safety (multi-version self-hosted jumps):**
the upgrade sequence interleaves per version (instance → workspace
commands), so pre-2.13 workspace commands run **before** the 2.13 rename
when an old instance jumps several versions. Following the `isCustom`
precedent: `isUIEditable`/`isUICreatable` are marked
`@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` and `isUIReadOnly` stays on both entities as
`@WasRemovedInUpgrade`, so the upgrade-aware entity metadata adapter
hides the not-yet-existing columns (and keeps the legacy column live) at
pre-2.13 cursors. **No committed upgrade command outside the 2-13
directory is modified**: the old 1-21/2-8/2-9 commands keep their
original `isUIReadOnly: true` inputs, which still compile (entity
property retained, deprecated create-input alias mapped) and still
produce the correct legacy column writes pre-rename.
- A 2-13 workspace command (`sync-standard-ui-capability-flags`)
re-syncs `isUICreatable` **and** `isUIEditable` on standard objects and
`isUIEditable` on standard fields from the standard-application
definitions. This backfills `isUICreatable: false` on
`workflowRun`/`workflowVersion`/`workspaceMember` and heals fields
created mid-cross-upgrade by pre-2.13 commands (whose hidden
`isUIEditable` value cannot reach the insert). Both 2-13 sync commands
pass `isSystemBuild: true` — the flat metadata validator otherwise
rejects direct updates to system objects (verified against a
deliberately drifted dev database; the run is idempotent).
- A second 2-13 workspace command re-syncs the create-record command
availability expression.
## Testing
- Unit tests for `canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem`
(flag/permission/system combinations) and for the manifest converters
(flags set / omitted → defaults).
- Full `upgrade --dry-run` boots the sequence (107 steps) and validates
the upgrade-aware decorator references; both 2-13 sync commands verified
end to end against real drift and re-run idempotently.
- Schema verified by live introspection after the input-alias restore:
all four input/filter members match main, output deprecations intact;
frontend metadata types and `twenty-client-sdk` schema regenerated from
the running server.
- Read-only-related and touched jest suites pass on both packages;
typecheck and lint pass on `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`.
Charles Bochet 08a36aa68f fix(server): restore absolute TTL in PromiseMemoizer (#21480)
## Context
`PromiseMemoizer` sits in front of the staged lookup (local cache →
Redis hash validation → Redis data → DB recompute) of both
`CoreEntityCacheService` and `WorkspaceCacheService` (10s TTL each). The
Redis hash check is the **only** cross-instance invalidation mechanism —
there is no pub/sub — and it runs only when the memo entry expires.
The TTL is currently **sliding**: every read refreshes `lastUsed`, and
eviction compares against time-since-last-read. So any entry read more
often than every 10s on a given instance never revalidates, and that
instance serves stale data for as long as traffic continues. Affected
data: auth-context entities (workspace, user, userWorkspace), API key
revocations, role/permission maps, RLS predicates, feature flags, and
all metadata maps.
Observed manifestation: after `activateWorkspace`, a sibling instance
kept serving a `PENDING_CREATION` workspace snapshot (kept alive
indefinitely by the client's own polling), stranding signup on a
permanent loading skeleton at `/create/profile` (#21461). Same staleness
class as #20322 and the CI flakes investigated in #21435.
## Why it was sliding
#11444 (April 2025) deliberately changed the TTL from absolute to
sliding because the memoizer's then-consumer was the TypeORM datasource
storage: absolute expiry was destroying datasources that were actively
in use (`onDelete` → `destroy()`), causing worker `Connection
terminated` errors. That consumer no longer exists — datasources moved
to `GlobalWorkspaceOrmManager`, and neither remaining consumer passes
`onDelete` or holds resources needing keep-alive.
## Fix
Restore absolute expiry: `expiresAt` is set at write time and never
refreshed on read. Every instance now re-enters the staged lookup (and
thus the Redis hash validation) at least once per TTL, restoring the
designed ≤10s cross-instance staleness ceiling. Concurrent dedup
(`pending` map) and `onDelete` plumbing are unchanged.
## Test plan
- New regression test: reads at half-TTL intervals must not extend an
entry's lifetime (fails on the sliding implementation, passes now).
- Full `promise-memoizer.storage.spec.ts` and
`workspace-cache.service.spec.ts` suites pass (25 tests); lint and
format clean.
Charles Bochet 503c689f37 security: upgrade typeorm to 0.3.26 (CVE-2025-60542) (#21456)
## Context
Retry of the typeorm upgrade that was pulled out of #21448 after CI
showed "intermittently lossy metadata sync". **The investigation
exonerated typeorm**: the postcard/seed failures were a pre-existing bug
in `@ptc-org/nestjs-query-typeorm`'s batched relation paging (global
LIMIT across parents) that scan-order luck had been hiding — reproduced
byte-for-byte on typeorm **0.3.20** against a frozen repro DB. That bug
is fixed in #21455, which this PR is stacked on (base branch =
`charles/fix-nestjs-query-batch-relation-paging`; will retarget to main
when it merges).
## Changes
- typeorm `0.3.20` → `0.3.26`
([CVE-2025-60542](https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-q2pj-6v73-8rgj),
MEDIUM). The CVE lives in TypeORM's MySQL path
(`sqlstring`/`stringifyObjects`); Postgres-only Twenty never exercises
it — this is scanner hygiene + staying current.
- The local yarn patch (`PickKeysByType` + `DeleteResult.generatedMaps`)
applies **verbatim** to 0.3.26 (verified against the pristine tarball) —
renamed to `typeorm+0.3.26.patch`.
- `WorkspaceRepository.query` restricted override adapted to the generic
`query<T = any>()` base signature introduced in 0.3.24 (one-line change,
still throws `RAW_SQL_NOT_ALLOWED`).
- 0.3.26 ships `uuid ^11` natively → the scoped `typeorm/uuid`
resolution from #21441 and its `//resolutions` comment clause (including
the now-disproven "lossy sync" warning) are removed.
## Why we're confident this time
The original failure signature was fully understood, not just retried:
- On a frozen failing DB, **all fieldMetadata rows + workspace columns
were intact** — only the batched metadata API read was truncated (`LIMIT
501` over 558 rows, no ORDER BY).
- Same DB, typeorm 0.3.20: identical truncation, identical SQL → not a
typeorm regression.
- With #21455 applied: postcard install/uninstall stress loop **12/12
green on typeorm 0.3.26** (previously failed within 1–2 iterations), API
returns 558/558 fields.
## Verification
- `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` — clean
- Full `twenty-server` unit suite — green (5651 passed)
- `group-by-resolver` integration suite — 19/19 on a fresh 0.3.26-seeded
test DB
- Postcard app-sync stress loop — 12/12 on this exact stack
- Lockfile: typeorm 0.3.26 + new `sql-highlight` dep, `esbuild`/uuid
entries untouched
Joseph Chiang 941c9e7586 fix: match relation field filters in optimistic & RLS record matchers (#21301)
Closes #21345.
## What
It should be caused by the GraphQL optimistic query.
`isRecordMatchingFilter` (front, Apollo optimistic cache) and
`isRecordMatchingRLSRowLevelPermissionPredicate` (server, RLS) now
handle a view filter that targets a **relation field object** (e.g. an
"is (not) empty" filter on a relation) by matching against the related
record id, instead of throwing.
<img width="3436" height="2250" alt="CleanShot 2026-06-08 at 06 44
01@2x"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/1dccbd1e-133c-4f4a-a0a9-7ccd02a9a0ae"
/>
<img width="1496" height="380" alt="CleanShot 2026-06-08 at 06 45 34@2x"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e5c2071e-69df-4d99-bb7d-66d503a175b6"
/>
## Why
Both matchers only implemented the relation **join column** branch
(`fooId`) and threw `Not implemented yet, use UUID filter instead on the
corresponding "fooId" field` for the relation field itself (`foo`). In
practice the UI still stores relation filters keyed on the relation
object, so any view with such a filter made every create/update/delete
on that object throw: the optimistic effect re-evaluates all active view
filters against the changed record and hits the unimplemented branch.
Repro: add a self-relation field on People (e.g. "Referred By"), put it
in a view filter as "is not empty", then edit any Person. The optimistic
update throws.
## Behaviour change
| Scenario | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| View filter on relation object (`referredBy is not empty`), then edit
a record | Throws `Not implemented yet...` | Record matched by related
id; update succeeds |
| Filter on relation join column (`referredById`) | Worked | Unchanged |
## Test plan
```bash
cd packages/twenty-front && npx jest isRecordMatchingFilter
cd packages/twenty-server && npx jest is-record-matching-rls-row-level-permission-predicate
```
- [x] Front: relation `is empty` / `is not empty` / `in` match by
related id; join-column path still passes (20/20)
- [x] Server: relation `is empty` / `is not empty` match by related id
(9/9)
- [x] `lint:diff-with-main` clean on both packages
Thomas Trompette 2514cab860 fix(server): include relation join column names in updatedFields of update events (#21405)
## Context
Since #21052, update-event diffs are keyed by the relation field name
(e.g. `company`) instead of the join column name (e.g. `companyId`).
`updatedFields` is derived from the diff keys, so any **workflow
database-event trigger** (or webhook) configured with a field filter on
a relation join column **silently stopped firing** — no run is created
at all.
We hit this in production: a `cloudWorkspace.updated` trigger filtered
on `twentyContactId` stopped creating runs the same day #21052 was
deployed. Updating the record's relation produced `updatedFields:
["twentyContact"]`, which no longer matches the stored settings `fields:
["twentyContactId"]` in
`WorkflowDatabaseEventTriggerListener.shouldTriggerJob`.
## Solution
Keep the diff keyed by relation field name (the timeline rendering from
#21052 relies on it — adding both keys to the diff would display
relation changes twice), but expose **both** the relation field name and
its join column name in `updatedFields`:
- New `computeUpdatedFieldsFromDiff()` in
`object-record-changed-values.ts`: expands MANY_TO_ONE relation diff
keys with their join column name.
- Used in `formatTwentyOrmEventToDatabaseBatchEvent` for
UPDATED/DELETED/RESTORED and UPSERTED events instead of
`Object.keys(diff)`.
This restores matching for pre-existing trigger/webhook configurations
(join column names) while keeping configurations using relation field
names working.
## Test plan
- [x] Unit tests: relation diff keyed by relation name; `updatedFields`
contains both `company` and `companyId`
- [x] End-to-end util test on UPDATED event: `updatedFields: ['company',
'companyId']`, diff keyed by `company`
- [x] Downstream consumer specs pass (workflow trigger listener,
webhooks, subscriptions, logic-function triggers)
- [x] Verified against the production workspace that a `twentyContactId`
update currently produces no workflow run with the old behavior
Weiko 9c66975520 isCustom deprecation for Objects and Fields (#21228)
## Context
`isCustom` was a legacy denormalized boolean on `ObjectMetadataEntity`
and `FieldMetadataEntity`.
Now that every metadata row carries `applicationId` (via
`SyncableEntity`), "is this custom" is fully derivable, and the stored
boolean was a redundant second source of truth that could drift.
The real meaning of `isCustom` is **"the owning application is not the
twenty-standard application"** — i.e. `!belongsToTwentyStandardApp`.
Note this is *not* "belongs to the workspace custom app" as I initially
thought: third-party-application
objects/fields are custom too.
The standard application has a globally stable `universalIdentifier`, so
the value derives with no per-workspace lookup.
## Changed
## `isCustom` checks — before → after
`isCustom` is no longer a stored column. The table below lists every
site that branched on it and how it resolves now. The unifying rule:
Marie 2151a414f5 Remove IS_WORKFLOW_RUN_STEP_LOGS_ENABLED feature flag (#21323) 2026-06-08 15:08:20 +00:00
nitin e485b679ea [Call Recording] Add standard object (#21158)
Adds **Call Recording** as a first-class standard object (Twenty's
flat-metadata
standard-object system), with a hidden junction to calendar events and a
backfill
command for existing workspaces. Everything is gated behind the
`IS_CALL_RECORDING_ENABLED` feature flag.
### What's included
- **`CallRecording`**: audio/video files, transcript, status, recording
policy,
timing, external bot/recording ids. Label identifier is
`meetingOccurrenceKey`.
- **`CallRecordingCalendarEventAssociation`**: hidden junction linking a
recording
to a calendar event (dedupes one bot to many subscribers of the same
meeting).
- Full metadata graph via the flat-metadata builders: fields, indexes,
views,
  view fields/groups, record page layout, and navigation items.
- **Metadata-only reverse relation** on `CalendarEvent`: present in
standard
metadata, omitted from the TS entity class to avoid expanding recursive
  nested-insert types.
- **Upgrade command (2.9.0)** backfilling active/suspended workspaces:
  - Creates the full graph; idempotent (skips when it already exists).
- Moves a colliding custom `callRecording` object aside to
`callRecordingOld`
    (numeric suffix if that name is also taken).
- Navigation items (commands) are flag-gated by `universalIdentifier`,
so a custom object
    reusing the name is never gated.
### QA
Run locally against existing workspaces (with and without a name
collision) and a
freshly created workspace:
- [x] Backfill, collision: custom `callRecording` renamed to
`callRecordingOld`;
  standard graph created.
- [x] Backfill, no collision: standard graph created; unrelated custom
object untouched.
- [x] Idempotent: re-run is a no-op, with no duplicate metadata and
counts unchanged.
- [x] New workspace via `init()` produces an identical graph to the
backfill
  (`universalIdentifier` set-diff = 0).
- [x] Label identifier (`meetingOccurrenceKey`) holds position 0 in
non-widget views.
- [x] Nav items gated behind the feature flag; collision-renamed
object's nav
  expression re-pointed to its new name.
- [x] Unit tests cover collision name resolution and nav-gating logic.
Félix Malfait c3dd6b25a6 fix: use canonical oxlint rule id in lint-disable directives (#21253)
## What
Many `oxlint-disable` / `eslint-disable` directives across the repo
carry a corrupted rule id — `@typescripttypescript/<rule>` — most likely
a find-and-replace accident that mangled the eslint-era
`@typescript-eslint/` prefix.
oxlint matches disable directives **loosely by rule name**, so these
still suppress in practice (not a silent no-op), but the id is malformed
and misleading.
## Change
Replace them with the **canonical oxlint id** `typescript/<rule>` —
matching the plugin name and rule keys declared in `.oxlintrc.json` —
**127 files, 262 directives**:
| rule | count |
| --- | ----- |
| `typescript/no-explicit-any` | 250 |
| `typescript/ban-ts-comment` | 6 |
| `typescript/no-misused-promises` | 4 |
| `typescript/no-empty-object-type` | 2 |
- `twenty-server`: 122 files
- `twenty-front`: 5 files
Comment-only — no code or runtime changes.
## Verification
`oxlint --type-aware -c .oxlintrc.json` reports **0 warnings / 0
errors** for both `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`. Every changed line
is exactly the id correction inside a disable directive (262 insertions
/ 262 deletions, no collateral edits).
> Addresses the cubic review, which flagged that the canonical oxlint id
is `typescript/...` (no `@`). Worth noting the original
`@typescripttypescript/` was not actually a silent no-op — oxlint
matches these directives loosely by rule name — but `typescript/` is the
correct, config-aligned id.
Marie 4b15b949f3 Provide additional logsobservability to workflow runs (per node) (#21142)
Surfaces per-step "Logs" tabs in the workflow run side panel so users
can see what each step actually did (model + tokens + tool calls for AI,
console output for serverless functions, request/response for HTTP,
recipients/body for Email).
<img width="546" height="501" alt="ai_agent_without_websearch"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c6ca3518-9489-4484-a570-3d0569ff3b03"
/>
## Storage
- New `stepLogs` JSONB column on the `workflowRun` workspace entity,
typed as `Record<string, WorkflowRunStepLog>` (keyed by step id).
- Schema lives in `twenty-shared`: `workflowRunStepLogSchema` with a
discriminated `details.type` union for `AI_AGENT | CODE | HTTP_REQUEST |
EMAIL` — frontends and backends consume the same Zod-inferred type.
- Field is added to existing workspaces via a workspace upgrade command
(`2-9 add-workflow-run-step-logs-field`); the standard-object metadata
declares it for new workspaces.
- Writes happen atomically per step in
`WorkflowRunStepLogWorkspaceService.setStepLog` using `jsonb_set`. That
lets concurrent steps in the same run write their own keys without
contending with the existing lock around `workflowRun.state`.
- Per-step payload is hard-capped at 256 KB; anything larger is dropped
with a `logger.warn`, so a pathological tool call can never bloat a row.
See below for more information.
## How logs are produced
**Aalmost everything was already being collected; this PR mostly
persists and renders it.**
- **AI agent** — `AgentAsyncExecutorService` already tracked token
usage, model id, native web-search count, and the AI SDK's `steps[]`. We
map those into the log via `mapAiStepsToToolCallLogs` (`searchVector`
stripped from record outputs, per-call input/output capped at 32/64 KB,
max 200 tool calls per step). The only new measurement is a wall-clock
`durationMs` taken around `executeAgent`, and we now fold native
web-search cost into the displayed `totalCostInDollars` (it was already
billed, just not shown).
- **Code / serverless function** — reuses the `console.log` output the
function runner already returns (`logsByLevel`);
`build-code-step-log.util` only repackages it.
- **HTTP request** — built from the action's existing input/output via
`build-http-request-step-log.util`. No new signals collected.
- **Email (send / draft)** — added `sanitizedHtmlBody` + `plainTextBody`
to the existing tool outputs (a small additive change), then
`build-email-step-log.util` consumes them.
No additional AI inference or external calls are made for logging — the
cost is a small CPU overhead per step plus the JSONB write.
## Security
The log surface intentionally shows whatever the workflow touched, which
made redaction and sanitization the main design concern.
- **HTTP — secrets in headers**: existing `SENSITIVE_HEADER_NAMES` set
(Authorization, Cookie, …) replaced with `[redacted]` in both request
and response.
- **HTTP — secrets in URLs**: `SENSITIVE_URL_PARAM_NAMES` (e.g.
`api_key`, `token`, `access_token`) replaced in the query string via
`URL`-based parsing.
- **HTTP — secrets in bodies**: `SENSITIVE_BODY_KEY_REGEX` deep-walks
JSON request/response bodies (object input or stringified JSON) and
redacts matching keys. Applied to the `error` field too, since
transport-layer errors sometimes embed structured payloads.
- **Email — XSS risk in body preview**: tool outputs now expose a
server-side `sanitizedHtmlBody`; the log builder prefers it over the raw
user-authored `input.body`, with `plainTextBody` as a second fallback.
The original raw body is only used if sanitization didn't happen (e.g.
tool failed before composing).
- **AI — internal/noisy data**: `searchVector` (Postgres tsvector
strings) is stripped from record outputs returned by Twenty tools to
avoid leaking internal full-text-search payloads.
- **DB bloat / runaway agents**: 256 KB per-step cap + 32 KB / 64 KB
per-tool-call input/output cap + 200 tool calls per step.
## More details on Log size & truncation
Logs are stored in `workflowRun.stepLogs` (JSONB), keyed by `stepId`.
### Per-step cap
Each step's log is hard-capped at **256 KB** (`MAX_STEP_LOG_BYTES` in
`WorkflowRunStepLogWorkspaceService.setStepLog`).
For ~99% of workflows this is roomy — typical real-world sizes:
- Code / serverless function: 1–20 KB
- HTTP request: 5–70 KB
- Email: 5–30 KB
- AI agent (a handful of tool calls): 5–50 KB
### Two layers of bounding
1. **Per-field truncation** in each builder (before writing):
   - **Code**: ≤ 500 entries, ≤ 4 KB per message, ≤ 8 KB stack trace
   - **HTTP**: ≤ 32 KB per body (request + response), UTF-8 byte-aware
   - **Email**: ≤ 8 KB body preview, UTF-8 byte-aware
- **AI agent**: ≤ 32 KB tool input, ≤ 64 KB tool output, ≤ 200 tool
calls/step
2. **Global per-step safety net** at write time: if the assembled
`stepLog` still exceeds 256 KB, the write is **dropped entirely** with a
`logger.warn`. The workflow itself keeps running unaffected.
### What this means in practice
- **Safe**: workflow execution, step results, downstream steps — never
blocked by log size.
- **Safe**: iterators (each iteration overwrites the previous log for
that `stepId`, so they can't accumulate).
- **Safe**: step retries (same `stepId` is overwritten, not appended).
- **Possible**: an AI agent step with many large tool outputs (e.g., 50+
heavy `web_search` calls) can exceed 256 KB → the **entire** step's log
is dropped, side panel shows "No logs were recorded for this step". The
user has no explicit signal that the log was dropped due to size (only
server-side warn).
- **Possible** (theoretical): a workflow with hundreds of distinct steps
could push the row toward Postgres's internal ~256 MB jsonb limit.
Beyond that, individual `jsonb_set` writes would error and be swallowed
by the action's try/catch — workflow still completes.
### Possible future hardening (not in this PR)
- Replace "drop entire log" with a stub that preserves the summary card
(cost, duration, status) and marks `truncated.reason = 'size_cap'`.
- Surface size-drops in the UI (similar to the existing
`<StyledTruncatedNotice>`).
Charles Bochet 58907b733c feat(logic-function): add LIVE / PREBUILT execution modes (#20873)
## Summary
### Why
1. Sending the code to the lambda (~1Mb usually) is heavy on network and
results to a constant traffic of ~30Mb/s on AWS which results into TB of
network data every month
2. eval(1MB of code) is not that fast, it's heavy on memory and CPU on
lambda side
### High level
Adds two execution modes for logic functions, gated behind the new
`IS_LOGIC_FUNCTION_PREBUILT_MODE_ENABLED` workspace feature flag (off
everywhere by default):
- **LIVE** (current behavior, preserved bit-for-bit): the compiled
bundle is read from object storage and shipped in every Lambda invoke
payload. Used for fast iteration in the workflow editor / Settings test
runs.
- **PREBUILT** (new): the bundle is installed onto the per-function
Lambda alongside the unified executor, and invocations carry only `{
params, env, handlerName }` — saving JSON payload egress and warm-start
`import()` cost on every call.
### Key design choices
- **Unified Lambda handler** (`constants/executor/index.mjs`) dispatches
at runtime: `event.code` present ? LIVE (write to `/tmp`, dynamic
import) : `import('./prebuilt-logic-function.mjs')`. Both code paths
always coexist on the deployment package, so the same Lambda can serve
either mode without redeploying.
- **Install runs inside the `validateBuildAndRun` migration pipeline**,
not at execute time. `Create/UpdateLogicFunctionActionHandlerService`
calls `driver.installPrebuiltBundle` when `executionMode` flips
LIVE?PREBUILT or `checksum` changes while PREBUILT, gated on
`isBuildUpToDate=true` and a fresh checksum.
- **Strict execute, no reconciliation**:
`LogicFunctionExecutorService.execute` resolves `effectiveExecutionMode`
(caller override > feature flag > entity column). For PREBUILT it asks
the driver `getInstalledBundleChecksum` (Lambda `twenty:bundle-checksum`
tag for AWS, sidecar file locally) and throws
`LOGIC_FUNCTION_PREBUILT_BUNDLE_NOT_INSTALLED` on mismatch.
- **Feature flag gates every side effect**: with the flag off the
executor forces LIVE, the action-handler install hooks bail before AWS,
and workflow activation does not flip the mode. Rollback is just turning
the flag off.
### Lifecycle
- New workflow CODE step ? `LIVE`, no install.
- Workflow activated ? build + activation flips `executionMode=PREBUILT`
? action-handler installs the bundle + sets the Lambda tag.
- Draft from active version ? duplicated logic function reset to `LIVE`.
- App install ? manifest converter sets `PREBUILT`, create-action
handler installs.
- Test runs (`executeOneFromSource`, workflow editor) pass
`executionMode=LIVE` explicitly.
### Observability
`[lambda-timing]` log lines now include `effectiveExecutionMode` and
`payloadBytes`; the action handler logs `install_duration_ms` for each
install.
## Test plan
- [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` ? passes
- [x] `npx oxlint --type-aware` on all changed files ? 0 warnings, 0
errors
- [x] `npx nx test twenty-server` ? 588 suites / 5009 tests pass (no
regressions vs main)
- [x] New unit suite `flat-logic-function-validator.service.spec.ts` ?
9/9
- [x] Existing
`workflow-version-step-operations.workspace-service.spec.ts` ? 8/8
(verified the new token-based DI avoids a circular-import regression)
- [x] Snapshot for
`ALL_UNIVERSAL_FLAT_ENTITY_PROPERTIES_TO_COMPARE_AND_STRINGIFY` updated
to include `executionMode`
- [x] Integration suite `logic-function-execution.integration-spec.ts`
extended to assert `executionMode=LIVE` on newly-created functions and
continues to exercise the LIVE happy path
- [ ] Manual staging rollout: flip
`IS_LOGIC_FUNCTION_PREBUILT_MODE_ENABLED` per workspace, observe
`[lambda-timing]` `payloadBytes` drop + `install_duration_ms`, then ramp
in prod.
Félix Malfait 75df1f3997 chore(settings): address review comments from PR 21072 (#21121)
## Summary
Round through bosiraphael's 31 review threads on the merged PR #21072
(discovery hero + ephemeral playground token). The user asked to apply
each suggestion only where it adds value, so this PR is split into three
buckets.
### Comments (~17 threads)
- Tightened security-rationale / CSS-gotcha / API-doc comments to one or
two factual lines
- Kept (shortened) the comments above `RequireAccessTokenGuard` call
sites — without them a future reader could remove the guard and silently
reopen the escalation hole
- Kept (shortened) the in-memory-only rationale on
`playgroundApiKeyState` for the same reason
- Kept `flex: 1 + min-height: 0` CSS gotcha on `SubMenuTopBarContainer`
— non-obvious and easy to break
### Structure / extraction
- Move `WEBHOOK_TABLE_ROW_GRID_TEMPLATE_COLUMNS` to its own constants
file (one-export-per-file)
- Split `SettingsAgentToolsTab` and `SettingsAgentToolsTable` across
queries/, hooks/, types/, utils/:
  - `graphql/queries/findManyApplicationsForToolTable.ts`
  - `graphql/queries/findManyMarketplaceAppsForToolTable.ts`
  - `hooks/useSettingsAgentToolsTable.ts` (data loading + index merging)
  - `types/SettingsAgentToolItem|Application|MarketplaceApp`
  - `utils/getToolApplicationId|getToolLink`
- Extract `SettingsAiModelsTab` optimistic mutations into
`hooks/useSettingsAiModelsActions` (handleModelFieldChange,
handleUseRecommendedToggle, handleModelToggle,
handleToggleAllVisibleModels)
- Extract `SettingsAI.handleCreateTool` into `hooks/useCreateTool`
- Drop unnecessary `useMemo` wrappers on `heroTabs` arrays
(SettingsObjects, SettingsLayout)
- Simplify `MenuItemToggle` handler in SettingsAgentSkillsTab:
`onToggleChange={setShowDeactivated}` (no longer wrapping with arrow +
read of stale `!showDeactivated`)
### Hero assets
- Replace placeholder `customize-illustration` with per-page exports
- Rename `layout/customize-illustration-{light,dark}.png` →
`layout/cover-{light,dark}.png`
- Add `cover-{light,dark}.png` for **applications** and **members**
(they were both pointing at the layout placeholder as a TODO)
- Overwrite `data-model/cover-*.png`, `playground/cover-*.png`,
`ai/ai-tools-cover-*.png` with the new exports
## Test plan
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front`
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server`
- [ ] `npx nx lint twenty-front`  (oxlint + oxfmt, 0 warnings/errors)
- [ ] `/settings/layout`, `/settings/data-model`,
`/settings/applications`, `/settings/ai`, `/settings/api-webhooks`,
`/settings/members` each render the new hero illustration (light + dark)
- [ ] AI tab: tool list still loads, search + Custom/Managed/Standard
filters still work, "New Tool" still navigates to detail
- [ ] AI tab: Models tab — smart/fast model select, "Use best models
only" toggle, per-model checkboxes, toggle-all all still
optimistic+revert on error
- [ ] Skills tab: "Deactivated" toggle still flips show/hide
- [ ] Webhooks table still uses the 1fr 28px grid
Weiko b9e5ff2065 fix: broadcast timeline activities to live SSE subscriptions (#21104)
## Context
Timeline activities never updated in real time. They were explicitly
excluded from the database-event pipeline
(formatTwentyOrmEventToDatabaseBatchEvent early-returned for the
timelineActivity object), so no SSE event was ever broadcast, and the
frontend timeline only refreshed on mount/manual refetch.
## Implementation
Backend
- Feat: Stop dropping timeline-activity events in
formatTwentyOrmEventToDatabaseBatchEvent.
Instead route them through EntityEventsToDbListener, which publishes
them directly to live subscriptions (but still skipping webhook/audit
handling).
- Fix: Harden ObjectRecordEventPublisher: wrap nested-relation
enrichment in try/catch so a failure broadcasts the event without
relations instead of dropping it (logs a warning).
- Fix: Skip unreadable relation targets in CommonSelectFieldsHelper when
the role lacks canReadObjectRecords, preventing errors while computing
selected fields.
- Fix: Support MORPH_RELATION alongside RELATION in RLS row-level
permission predicate matching (timeline activities use morph targets).
Frontend
- Feat: useTimelineActivities now registers the timeline query with the
SSE system via useListenToEventsForQuery and refetches on incoming
timeline-activity record operations.
- Feat: Add a skip option to useListenToEventsForQuery so the listener
isn't registered when the object has no timeline field.
## Test
Note: "UpdatedBy" seems to be listen to and visible in the timeline
activity summary, this is probably a bug that we want to fix
Félix Malfait b338a7a1d2 feat(settings): discovery hero rollout + ephemeral playground token (#21072)
## Summary
Two intertwined streams of work:
### UI — discovery hero pattern, settings shell, AI/API redesign
- **Generalize `SettingsDiscoveryHeroCard`** and use it on Layout, Data
Model, Apps, AI, API/Webhooks, Members. Drops 4 per-page wrapper files
(`SettingsObjectCoverImage`, `SettingsLayoutCoverImage`,
`SettingsLayoutCustomizeVideoModal`,
`SettingsDataModelVisualizeVideoModal`). Each page now supplies cover
src, modal id, and tab list.
- **Modal**: swap `<video>` placeholder for the Vimeo iframe pattern
from `twenty-docs`, per-tab `vimeoId`. Drop the parallel border-bottom
on the header (TabList draws its own baseline) and the grey background
behind the video. Note: Vimeo's embed allowlist applies — the iframes
load with the correct URL on `localhost` but the player itself requires
the video owner to allow the dev/staging domains in Vimeo settings.
- **AI page** rebuilt into a Cockpit pattern (Overview / Models / Skills
/ Tools / Usage). New `SettingsAiOverviewTab` with default Smart/Fast
pickers, at-a-glance stats, and an MCP signpost that deep-links to
`/settings/api-webhooks#mcp`. System Prompt link moved under Models.
Advanced tab removed.
- **API & Webhooks** now has 4 tabs (Playground / MCP / API Keys /
Webhooks). Hero card above tabs. Playground tab inverted to "Core API" /
"Metadata API" sections, each containing REST + GraphQL cards — schema
is the meaningful axis, protocol is secondary. Hash deep-link sync
delegated to the shared `TabListFromUrlOptionalEffect`.
- **Settings shell**: unified drawer outer padding (kill `isSettings`
branch), extract `CollapsibleNavigationDrawerSection`, add `iconColor`
on settings nav items, fix Exit Settings button alignment, 880px content
cap.
### Backend — strategy C: ephemeral playground token
The legacy paste-your-API-key flow is replaced by an on-demand
short-lived token scoped to the calling user's permissions. No shared
"Playground" API key to manage or revoke.
- New `JwtTokenTypeEnum.PLAYGROUND`. `PlaygroundTokenJwtPayload =
Omit<AccessTokenJwtPayload, 'type' | impersonation fields>` so any
future ACCESS claim flows through automatically.
- `AccessTokenService.generatePlaygroundToken` signs an access-shaped
JWT with `type: PLAYGROUND` and a configurable short TTL. A shared
private `resolveTokenSubject` helper parallelizes the user / workspace /
userWorkspace lookups for both generators.
- `JwtAuthStrategy.validateAccessToken` widened to accept
`AccessTokenJwtPayload | PlaygroundTokenJwtPayload`; impersonation gated
on `payload.type === ACCESS` so the union narrows without `as unknown
as` casts. The two branches in `validate()` collapse into one.
- New `PLAYGROUND_TOKEN_EXPIRES_IN` config var (default `2h`).
- New `generatePlaygroundToken` mutation (`WorkspaceAuthGuard`, no args,
returns `AuthToken`).
- Frontend `useOpenPlayground` hook centralizes mint → atom write →
navigate, with Apollo `onError` snackbar and a "use cached PLAYGROUND
token if still fresh" short-circuit (decodes via `jwt-decode`, checks
both `type` AND `exp`). Old API_KEY tokens left in localStorage from the
prior paste-form flow are rejected on `type` alone and force a re-mint —
this is what was causing the "This API Key is revoked" symptom on stale
browsers.
### Drive-by cleanups
- `PlaygroundToken` DTO removed (identical shape to `AuthToken` already
in use).
- 5 `customize-sidebar.webm` imports and the dead placeholder pipeline
removed.
## Test plan
### Discovery hero
- [ ] `/settings/layout`, `/settings/data-model`,
`/settings/applications`, `/settings/ai`, `/settings/api-webhooks`,
`/settings/members` each render the discovery hero card with its
illustration + play button + tabbed modal
- [ ] Modal tabs show the correct Vimeo embed URL per tab; aspect ratio
stays at 1440/900; no parallel border-bottom jog at the tab baseline
- [ ] AI Overview tab shows Smart/Fast model pickers + stats grid + MCP
signpost card; the MCP card lands on `/settings/api-webhooks#mcp` with
the MCP tab active
### API playground (ephemeral token)
- [ ] With an empty `playgroundApiKeyState` in localStorage, clicking
REST or GraphQL playground card opens the playground and the cached
token has `type: "PLAYGROUND"` with ~2h exp
- [ ] Clicking the card again within the freshness window does **not**
re-mint (`iat` / fingerprint stable across visits)
- [ ] Planting a fake API_KEY-shaped JWT in localStorage and clicking
the card forces a fresh mint (old token rejected on `type`)
- [ ] `GET /rest/companies?limit=1` with the cached token returns 200 +
real data
- [ ] `POST /graphql { __typename }` returns 200
### Settings shell
- [ ] Settings nav matches main app drawer padding; sections collapse;
Exit Settings button aligns with the workspace links above
- [ ] Active nav items have a right-gap (cleaner active state)
- [ ] Content area capped at 880px
### Verify
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` passes
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` passes
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` passes
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` passes
Félix Malfait f4ead89956 refactor(twenty-orm): migrate 23 grandfathered entities to WorkspaceScopedRepository (#20987)
## Summary
Follow-up to #20953. Migrates 23 of the 30 entities that were left in
`WORKSPACE_SCOPED_EXEMPTIONS` last time, so the lint rule's
workspaceId-enforcement default now covers most of the core/metadata
schema.
### Migrated (23 entities, 88 files, 22 commits)
| Family | Entities |
|---|---|
| Trivial caches | `NavigationMenuItem`, `Skill`, `DataSource`,
`Webhook`, `CommandMenuItem`, `IndexMetadata` |
| Views | `View`, `ViewField`, `ViewFieldGroup`, `ViewFilter`,
`ViewFilterGroup`, `ViewGroup`, `ViewSort` |
| Layouts | `PageLayout`, `PageLayoutTab`, `PageLayoutWidget` |
| Roles & permissions | `Role`, `RoleTarget`, `PermissionFlag`,
`ObjectPermission`, `FieldPermission`, `RowLevelPermissionPredicate`,
`RowLevelPermissionPredicateGroup` |
For each entity: swap `@InjectRepository(X)` →
`@InjectWorkspaceScopedRepository(X)` (and the field type →
`WorkspaceScopedRepository<X>`); rewrite every call site to pass
`workspaceId` as the first arg (stripped from `where`/criteria — the
wrapper throws if you include it now); register
`provideWorkspaceScopedRepository(X)` in every owning NestJS module;
update affected spec providers to
`getWorkspaceScopedRepositoryToken(X)`.
### Rule update
- `ApplicationRegistrationVariableEntity` was misclassified — moved to
`STRUCTURAL_EXEMPTIONS` (no `workspaceId` column; it's keyed on
`applicationRegistrationId` at the instance level).
- 22 of the 23 migrated entities removed from
`WORKSPACE_SCOPED_EXEMPTIONS` entirely (zero remaining raw
`@InjectRepository` sites).
- `RoleTargetEntity` also removed; one call site in
`user-workspace.service.ts` keeps a raw injection with an
`eslint-disable` + reason because `softRemove(...)` is not on the
wrapper API yet (the migration would require threading `workspaceId`
through `deleteUserWorkspace`'s three callers).
### Still exempted (7 entities, follow-up PRs)
| Entity | Why deferred |
|---|---|
| `ApplicationEntity` | ~50 sites with several cross-workspace lookups
by id (auth, OAuth, file-storage, cleanup) |
| `CalendarChannelEntity` / `MessageChannelEntity` | Use
`.increment(...)` (not on wrapper) and
`repository.manager.transaction(...)` — wrapper needs to grow
`.increment` + the transaction sites need `withManager` or dual-inject |
| `FieldMetadataEntity` / `ObjectMetadataEntity` | The metadata services
`extends TypeOrmQueryService<X>` and `super(rawRepo)` — requires
dual-inject or reworking the inheritance |
| `KeyValuePairEntity` | Allows `workspaceId: IsNull()` for
instance-level config; wrapper rejects null |
| `UpgradeMigrationEntity` | Same — instance-level + cross-workspace
ledger |
## Test plan
- [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` — clean
- [x] `npx nx lint twenty-server` — clean (0/0)
- [x] All 10 affected unit specs pass (115 tests) — api-key, agent-role,
permissions, workspace-roles-permissions-cache, view-filter-group,
workflow-version-step-operations, two-factor-authentication (service +
resolver), user-workspace, file
- [ ] Server integration tests in CI
neo773 c5606212f2 Ses outbound followup (#20610)
This pull request unifies outbound with inbound under the new feature
and the new email groups feature.
These are workspace level shared inboxes that are shared between all
workspace members.
outbound sending with SES works, we only listen for tenant status
events, rest is managed by AWS
PR refactors old code and webhook to be split for outbound and inbound
for proper separation
| Area | Change |
|---|---|
| AWS SES driver | Split into `AwsSesRegisterDomainService` (tenant +
identity + DKIM + MAIL FROM + configuration-set + EventBridge dest +
contact list) and `AwsSesSendEmailService` (SendEmail). |
| Reputation webhook | New `/webhooks/messaging/ses/outbound` route. SES
→ EventBridge (`Sending Status Enabled/Disabled` on default bus) → SNS →
router → `SesOutboundSendingStateHandlerService` updates
`emailing_domain.tenantStatus`. |
| Inbound webhook | Refactored into `SesInboundWebhookRouterService` +
`SesInboundMailHandlerService`. Shared `SnsSignatureVerifierService` +
`SnsSubscriptionConfirmerService` across both routes. |
| Global uniqueness | New migration + instance command:
`emailing_domain.domain` is now globally unique (one tenant per domain
across workspaces). |
| Tenant status | New `emailing_domain.tenantStatus` column (`ACTIVE` /
`PAUSED`) + `EmailingDomainTenantStatusService`. |
| Send-email mutation | New `sendEmailViaDomain` GraphQL mutation +
DTOs. |
| Cleanup | `EmailingDomainWorkspaceCleanupJob` wired into
`WorkspaceService.deleteWorkspace` — tears down SES tenant association +
identity on workspace delete. |
| Settings UI | Rewritten around reusable `SettingsTableListSection`.
"Email Group" → "Email Handle" rename. New cells for
status/source/forwarding. Outbound domains surfaced on workspace
settings page. |
### Env vars (new)
All in `config-variables.ts`, group `AWS_SES_SETTINGS`, all optional:
- `AWS_SES_REGION` — `@IsAWSRegion`, consumed by `AwsSesClientProvider`
+ driver factory
- `AWS_SES_ACCOUNT_ID` — used for ARN construction in driver factory
- `SES_SNS_TOPIC_ARN_ALLOWLIST` — **shared** by inbound + outbound
webhook routers, comma-separated list of accepted SNS topic ARNs
(verified via `sns-payload-validator`)
### Migrations
- `1778862608620-add-emailing-domain-tenant-status` (fast) — adds
`tenantStatus` column.
- `1778865501791-unique-emailing-domain-globally` (slow, idempotent) —
enforces global uniqueness on `domain`.
- Instance commands bumped to `2.5`.
### Infra dependency
Two coupled twenty-infra PRs:
- `ses-inbound-email` — receipt-rule + inbound SNS topic + S3 bucket
policy + KMS grant + `email_group_*` outputs.
- `ses-outbound-tf` — EventBridge rule + outbound SNS topic + SES IAM
policy + outbound `webhook_url` subscription. **Based on
`ses-inbound-email`.**
Merge order: inbound first, then outbound. Outbound PR's chart edit owns
the comma-joined `SES_SNS_TOPIC_ARN_ALLOWLIST` value (both ARNs).
Features lives under `/settings/general`
Félix Malfait 4797d2f270 feat(twenty-orm): introduce WorkspaceScopedRepository for core/metadata workspace-scoped entities (#20953)
## Summary
Adds a third tenancy enforcement layer for entities that live in shared
schemas (`core`, `metadata`) and carry a `workspaceId` column —
previously the only safeguard at this layer was developer discipline
(remembering to put `workspaceId` in every WHERE clause).
### The three layers, after this PR
| Layer | Scope | How it's enforced |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Workspace data | per-workspace schema (companies, people, custom
objects) | `twentyORMManager.getRepository(workspace, E)` — physical
isolation (own data source) |
| 2. Metadata | shared `metadata` schema (objectMetadata, fieldMetadata,
views, roles…) | Flat-entity-maps cache — workspace-scoped in-memory
map, lookups by id within it |
| 3. Core (new) | shared `core` schema (agent threads/turns/messages,
app tokens, etc.) | `WorkspaceScopedRepository<T>` — `workspaceId` is a
required positional argument on every read/write |
## What's in the PR
### The wrapper
(`packages/twenty-server/src/engine/twenty-orm/workspace-scoped-repository/`)
- `WorkspaceScopedRepository<T extends WorkspaceScopedEntity>` — wraps a
TypeORM `Repository<T>`, requires `workspaceId` on every
`find`/`findOne`/`findOneOrFail`/`update`/`delete`/`softDelete`/`insert`/`save`/`count`
call, merging it into the WHERE or stamping it on the entity.
`createQueryBuilder` is an explicit escape hatch (caller scopes
manually).
- Provided via Nest DI with
`@InjectWorkspaceScopedRepository(EntityClass)` and the
`provideWorkspaceScopedRepository(EntityClass)` provider factory.
- 19 unit tests cover the merge behavior, override-on-conflict, and the
array-where (OR) case.
### Lint enforcement
(`packages/twenty-oxlint-rules/rules/prefer-workspace-scoped-repository.ts`)
- New `twenty/prefer-workspace-scoped-repository` rule (level:
**error**).
- Blacklist of entity names: raw `@InjectRepository(E)` is rejected if
`E` is on the list.
- Initial list: `AgentTurnEntity`, `AgentMessageEntity`,
`AgentMessagePartEntity`, `AgentChatThreadEntity`,
`AgentTurnEvaluationEntity`, `AgentEntity`.
- Designed to grow over time as more consumers are migrated.
- 5 rule tests.
### Migration in this PR
All consumers of the six blacklisted entities, including:
- AI agent / chat / monitor resolvers, services, and jobs
- `AgentService`, `AiAgentRoleService`, `AiAgentWorkflowAction`,
`ApplicationService`, `WorkspaceFlatAgentMapCacheService`
- Admin-panel chat (migrated where the lookup is workspace-known; one
documented `eslint-disable` on the threadId-discovery lookup that
necessarily precedes the `allowImpersonation` permission check)
- `AiAgentRoleService` unit spec updated to mock the scoped wrapper
## Future work (deliberately not in this PR)
A standalone audit identified ~14 additional `core`/`metadata` entities
with `workspaceId` that currently use raw `@InjectRepository` and could
be added to the blacklist. Notable candidates: `UserWorkspaceEntity` (42
sites), `AppTokenEntity` (10), `FileEntity` (7),
`BillingCustomerEntity`/`BillingSubscriptionEntity` (~22 combined). Each
should be its own PR — the migration is mechanical but the surface is
wide.
Félix Malfait d602f35cbd feat(data-model): custom-indexes management UI and mutations (#20846)
## Summary
Brings indexes management into the per-object Settings tab as a section
under Search (no feature flag, advanced mode only). Admins can create /
delete non-unique indexes with the UI; apps can declare indexes in code
with `defineIndex`. Composite-typed fields are now indexable by picking
a specific sub-column (e.g. `Address > City`).
A few related polish items also land here (invite-user dropdown lands on
the Invite tab; standard warning callout above the new-index form).
## What ships
### UI — custom indexes on per-object Settings
- New section directly under Search, wrapped in
`AdvancedSettingsWrapper`.
- Filter dropdown on the search bar toggles system-index visibility
(shown by default since advanced mode).
- **+ Add Index** button (disabled with tooltip once the per-object cap
is reached) navigates to a dedicated `SettingsObjectNewIndex` page
(matches the field-creation pattern, not a modal):
- Field picker mirrors the webhook event-form layout (rows of dropdowns,
implicit trailing empty row).
- Composite fields surface their sub-properties (`Address > City`,
`Currency > Amount`, …).
  - BTREE / GIN type selector.
- Standard warning Callout: "Use indexes sparingly — each one speeds
reads but slows writes."
- Trash icon on `isCustom: true` rows → confirmation modal →
`deleteOneIndex`.
### Server — `createOneIndex` / `deleteOneIndex` mutations
- Gated by `SettingsPermissionGuard(DATA_MODEL)`.
- `IndexMetadataService` wraps the existing migration runner via
`WorkspaceMigrationValidateBuildAndRunService` so the metadata row and
the SQL index land atomically.
- Validation: rejects empty fields, duplicate `(fieldMetadataId,
subFieldName)` pairs, fields not on the object, requires `subFieldName`
for composite parents, forbids `subFieldName` on scalar/relation,
enforces `MAX_CUSTOM_INDEXES_PER_OBJECT = 10`.
- Delete refuses on `isCustom: false` rows so system indexes can't be
removed via this API.
- Dedicated GraphQL exception handler maps each typed error to the right
transport error class.
### Composite sub-field indexing
- Adds `subFieldName: string | null` column to
`IndexFieldMetadataEntity` (fast instance command).
- The flat-entity flow (`UniversalFlatIndexFieldMetadata`,
`FlatIndexFieldMetadata`, `from-universal-flat-index-to-flat-index`,
runner column resolution) all carry `subFieldName` through.
- For composite parents, the runner uses
`computeCompositeColumnName({...}, property)` for the picked sub-column;
for non-composite parents, behavior is unchanged.
- The `'::'` separator encodes `(fieldMetadataId, subFieldName)` for
dedup on the wire; the frontend uses the same separator inside the
Select component's string value.
### Apps can declare indexes in code (`defineIndex`)
- New `IndexManifest` + `IndexFieldManifest` types in
`twenty-shared/application` wired into the `Manifest` type.
- `defineIndex` SDK helper + `IndexConfig`. CLI manifest builder +
extractor recognize `defineIndex` / `ManifestEntityKey.Indexes`.
- Server: `from-index-manifest-to-universal-flat-index` converter
resolves field IDs, validates composite/scalar `subFieldName` rules, and
delegates to `generateFlatIndexMetadataWithNameOrThrow` for the
deterministic name.
- Orchestrator wires the loop after the field-resolution pass;
per-object cap enforced inline against the manifest.
- Cascade on uninstall is automatic — when an app disappears its indexes
drop with it (universal-flat-entity diff handles it).
- Rich-app fixture ships a real `defineIndex` on `PostCard.status`,
exercising the full manifest → install path in CI.
### Closed for now (open later if needed)
- Apps cannot declare `isUnique` indexes — unique constraints stay with
the field-creation flow.
- Apps cannot use a partial-`indexWhereClause` — the UI surface keeps
the framework's hardcoded allowlist.
- UI cannot create unique or partial indexes either; same reasons.
### Cleanups along the way
- Reused the existing `getCompositeSubFieldLabel` +
`COMPOSITE_FIELD_SUB_FIELD_LABELS` (deleted the duplicates I'd created
early in the PR).
- Moved `MAX_CUSTOM_INDEXES_PER_OBJECT` to `twenty-shared/constants`
(single source for FE + BE).
- Replaced inline `isDefined(x) && x !== ''` with `isNonEmptyString`
(from `@sniptt/guards`).
- Hoisted the per-object fields Map + inlined the cap counter into the
indexes orchestrator loop (drops the install scan from O(indexes ×
totalFields) to O(totalFields + indexes)).
- Per design-feedback: page-based create flow (not a modal), filter
dropdown on the SearchInput (not a separate toggle), webhook-style
picker, field icons.
### Unrelated polish that lands here
- "Invite user" link in the multi-workspace dropdown now lands on the
Invite tab directly (`#invite`) instead of the first tab of the members
page.
## Test plan
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server / twenty-front / twenty-sdk /
twenty-shared` — passes
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server / twenty-front` — clean
green (6 cases)
- [ ] `npx vitest run --config vitest.integration.config.ts -t
"rich-app"` — green (rich-app app-dev integration exercises the new
manifest path with the PostCard.status index)
- [ ] Advanced mode → Settings → any object → Settings tab → Indexes
section is visible under Search
- [ ] Create a single-field BTREE index, confirm SQL index exists
(verify via `pg_indexes`)
- [ ] Create a composite-field index (`Address > City`) and confirm the
column is `addressAddressCity`
- [ ] Create an index spanning two columns; column order matches the
picker order
- [ ] Attempt to create an 11th custom index → button is disabled with
tooltip
- [ ] Delete a custom index → confirmation modal → row disappears, PG
index dropped
- [ ] System indexes have no trash icon and are hidden by default
Félix Malfait 084fa8eaba fix(server): auto-index target<X>Id join columns on polymorphic standard objects (#20820)
Closes #20726
## The bug
`timelineActivity` (and the three other polymorphic standard objects —
`attachment`, `noteTarget`, `taskTarget`) store relations as N nullable
`target<X>Id` columns, one per related object. Each one is a join key
queried as `WHERE target<X>Id IN (...) AND deletedAt IS NULL`.
For **built-in** related objects (Person, Company, Opportunity, …), each
`target<X>Id` column gets a BTREE index, declared statically in
`compute-{timelineActivity,attachment,noteTarget,taskTarget}-standard-flat-index-metadata.util.ts`.
For **custom** related objects, the same `target<CustomObject>Id` column
was added — **without an index**. On a `timelineActivity` table at
issue-reporter scale (~21.9M rows, 7.1 GB), this turned record loads
into 20–40s sequential scans and produced `QueryFailedError: Query read
timeout` for end users.
## Diagnosis
The morph/relation field generator
(`generateMorphOrRelationFlatFieldMetadataPair`) already creates a BTREE
index for the field that owns the join column and returns it alongside
the field metadata pair. The two user-driven entry points
(`fromRelationCreateFieldInput…`, `fromMorphRelationCreateFieldInput…`)
correctly destructure and propagate that index.
But the **custom-object creation path** —
`buildDefaultRelationFlatFieldMetadatasForCustomObject`, called when a
user creates a new custom object — destructured only `{
flatFieldMetadatas }` and threw away `indexMetadatas`. So every
`target<CustomObject>Id` column added to the four polymorphic standard
objects has been shipping unindexed since custom morph relations went
in.
## The fix
Three commits.
### 1. `fix(server): index target<CustomObject>Id columns on standard
polymorphic objects`
13 lines across 2 files.
-
`build-default-relation-flat-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts`
— also destructure `indexMetadatas` from the pair generator and
accumulate them into the returned record (new field
`standardTargetFlatIndexMetadatas`).
-
`from-create-object-input-to-flat-object-metadata-and-flat-field-metadatas-to-create.util.ts`
— append the accumulated indexes to `flatIndexMetadataToCreate`. The
migration pipeline at `object-metadata.service.ts:559–562` already
passes `flatIndexMetadataToCreate` to the migration runner, so no
further wiring is needed.
From now on, creating a custom object also creates the four BTREE
indexes — one per polymorphic standard object's new
`target<CustomObject>Id` column — atomically with the rest of the
migration.
### 2. `feat(server): backfill workspace command for relation join
column indexes`
For existing workspaces whose custom objects were created before the
forward-fix.
`upgrade:2-8:backfill-relation-join-column-indexes` is a
`@RegisteredWorkspaceCommand('2.8.0', 1798100000000)` matching the
pattern from
`2-7-workspace-command-…-drop-connected-account-standard-object.command.ts`.
Per workspace:
1. Load `flatObjectMetadataMaps`, `flatFieldMetadataMaps`,
`flatIndexMaps` from the workspace cache.
2. Resolve the four polymorphic standard object IDs by `nameSingular`
against `DEFAULT_RELATIONS_OBJECTS_STANDARD_IDS`.
3. Collect every field ID that's already covered by any existing index.
4. Filter `flatFieldMetadataMaps` to MORPH_RELATION fields on those four
objects whose `settings.relationType === MANY_TO_ONE` (i.e. owns a join
column) and whose ID isn't in the indexed set.
5. Generate a BTREE `UniversalFlatIndexMetadata` for each via
`generateIndexForFlatFieldMetadata` (same helper the forward-fix uses).
6. Create the indexes in the workspace schema with **CONCURRENTLY** (see
commit 3).
7. Submit the metadata through
`WorkspaceMigrationValidateBuildAndRunService` so it lands in
`indexMetadata` and the cache — same pipeline as a normal metadata
change. The pipeline's own `CREATE INDEX IF NOT EXISTS` no-ops because
the index already exists.
Properties:
- **Idempotent.** Re-running is a no-op once indexes exist.
- **Scoped.** Only the four polymorphic standard objects, only their
MANY_TO_ONE morph relation fields, only those with no covering index.
- **Same code path as the forward-fix.** The backfill produces exactly
the indexes the forward-fix would have created at custom-object creation
time.
- **`--dry-run` supported** via the base
`ActiveOrSuspendedWorkspaceCommandRunner`.
### 3. `feat(server): create index CONCURRENTLY in relation join column
backfill`
Adds an opt-in `concurrently` flag to
`WorkspaceSchemaIndexManagerService.createIndex` (threaded through
`createIndexInWorkspaceSchema`). When `true`, emits `CREATE INDEX
CONCURRENTLY IF NOT EXISTS …`. Defaults to `false` — every existing
caller keeps the current transactional `CREATE INDEX` behavior.
The backfill command opts in. It creates a QueryRunner **without**
`startTransaction()`, issues the CONCURRENTLY indexes one-by-one (each
waits for the previous to finish), then submits the metadata through the
normal migration pipeline whose own `CREATE INDEX IF NOT EXISTS` is now
a no-op.
Why not flip the default for the helper:
- `CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY` cannot run inside a transaction — Postgres
errors out. The migration pipeline calls `createIndex` from inside a
transactional schema migration.
- CONCURRENTLY doesn't roll back with the transaction. If the
surrounding migration fails, the index remains and you end up with
metadata/schema drift.
- Failed CONCURRENTLY builds leave an INVALID index behind that needs
manual `DROP`.
- UNIQUE indexes have different failure semantics under CONCURRENTLY
(deferred, not immediate).
So CONCURRENTLY is opt-in, used only where it's the right tool (post-hoc
backfills on populated tables).
## Decisions / tradeoffs
- **Single-column BTREE vs partial `WHERE deletedAt IS NULL` vs
composite.** Twenty's queries always include `deletedAt IS NULL`. A
partial index would be slightly better than a plain BTREE (smaller, no
wasted seeks on soft-deleted rows). This PR ships single-column to match
the existing built-in target index pattern, which already covers >95% of
the available speedup (the 20s→4ms drop the reporter saw comes from
having any index — composite/partial is a second-order effect).
Switching all relation indexes to partial is a separate, broader change.
- **CONCURRENTLY operator caveat.** If a CONCURRENTLY build is
interrupted (kill, connection drop, OOM), Postgres leaves the index as
INVALID. We deliberately don't probe `pg_index` for invalid leftovers on
every create — catalog-table queries can be slow at multi-tenant scale
and the failure mode is rare. Recovery is manual: `DROP INDEX <name>`
and re-run the backfill.
- **Forward-fix is not gated** behind a feature flag. The change is
metadata-pipeline-internal; before, custom-object creation silently
produced a degraded state. After, it produces the correct state. No new
public API, no behavioural change for end users besides the indexes
existing.
## Risk
- Forward-fix: changes only the metadata produced during custom-object
creation. New objects get four extra `FlatIndexMetadata` rows and four
extra `CREATE INDEX` statements during their creation migration. Tables
are empty at that point so the index builds in microseconds.
- Helper change: API-compatible, default behavior unchanged. The new
`concurrently` parameter is optional.
- Backfill: read-only state probe → CONCURRENTLY index creation (no
write blocking) → metadata insert via the normal migration pipeline.
Idempotent. Reverting is `DROP INDEX`.
## Test plan
- [ ] Verify forward-fix: create a custom object, confirm four new BTREE
indexes appear on `timelineActivity`, `attachment`, `noteTarget`,
`taskTarget` for the new `target<CustomObject>Id` columns, and that
`flatIndexMaps` has matching entries.
- [ ] Verify backfill on a workspace that had custom objects created
before the fix: run `--dry-run` first, confirm the expected indexes are
listed; then run for real, confirm the indexes appear in pg (and as
`indisvalid = true` in `pg_index`) and in `flatIndexMaps`. Re-run;
confirm no-op.
- [ ] Verify backfill on a clean workspace: should log "no missing
indexes" and exit.
- [ ] Verify CONCURRENTLY behavior under load: run backfill against a
workspace with active writes on `timelineActivity`; confirm
inserts/updates keep working during index build (no `ShareLock` waits in
`pg_stat_activity`).
- [ ] On the affected reporter-scale workspace, confirm `EXPLAIN
ANALYZE` switches from sequential scan to index scan and timeline
activity timeouts go away.
Weiko d13cc7c349 Drop legacy rolePermissionFlag.flag column + fallback logic (#20730)
## Summary
- **New fast migration**
`2-7-instance-command-fast-1779600000000-finalize-role-permission-flag-cutover.ts`:
  - `DROP CONSTRAINT IDX_ROLE_PERMISSION_FLAG_FLAG_ROLE_ID_UNIQUE`
  - `ALTER COLUMN permissionFlagId SET NOT NULL`
  - `DROP COLUMN flag`
- `down()` repopulates `flag` from the catalog via `permissionFlagId`
and restores the old unique.
- **Entity**: `RolePermissionFlagEntity` hides the `flag` column by
using the new decorator + drops old `@Unique` decorator;
`permissionFlagId` and the `permissionFlag` relation become
non-nullable.
- **Deletes** the synthesizer
`synthesize-flat-permission-flag-from-flag.util.ts` and every fallback
branch that used it
(`from-role-permission-flag-entity-to-flat-role-permission-flag.util.ts`,
`from-flat-role-permission-flag-to-role-permission-flag-dto.util.ts`,
`permissions.service.ts`,
`workspace-roles-permissions-cache.service.ts`,
`fromRoleEntityToRoleDto.util.ts`,
`flat-role-permission-flag-validator.service.ts`,
`role-permission-flag.service.ts:getEffectiveUniversalIdentifier`).
- **Write path**: ~~drops `flag` from `CreateRolePermissionFlagInput`,
the create util, and the application-manifest converter.~~
- **Metadata configs**: ~~removes `flag` from
`all-entity-properties-configuration-by-metadata-name.constant.ts`
(rolePermissionFlag block)~~ and flips `permissionFlag.isNullable` to
`false` in `all-many-to-one-metadata-relations.constant.ts`.
### Why the `flag` field stays declared in the entity
The decorator (`@WasRemovedInUpgrade`) is the right tool for the
lifecycle marker, but it's a **reflect-metadata** runtime decorator —
TypeScript can't see it at compile time. So while
the adapter
([`UpgradeAwareEntityMetadataAdapter`](packages/twenty-server/src/engine/twenty-orm/upgrade-aware/upgrade-aware-entity-metadata.adapter.ts))
now correctly flips
`isSelect`/`isInsert`/`isUpdate` to `false` once the drop migration's
cursor is crossed, the *static* TypeScript types derived from
`RolePermissionFlagEntity`
(`UniversalFlatRolePermissionFlag`, `FlatRolePermissionFlag`,
`MetadataEntityPropertyConfiguration<'rolePermissionFlag'>`, etc.) still
see `flag` as a required scalar property — because the entity declares
it.
That means every producer of one of those derived types must include
`flag`:
-
`from-create-role-permission-flag-input-to-flat-role-permission-flag-to-create.util.ts`
plumbs it through.
- `from-permission-flag-to-universal-flat-role-permission-flag.util.ts`
(the application-manifest converter) sets `flag: permissionFlag.flag`.
- `all-entity-properties-configuration-by-metadata-name.constant.ts` has
a `flag` entry under `rolePermissionFlag`.
- `CreateRolePermissionFlagInput` keeps the `flag` field.
- `RolePermissionFlagService.upsertPermissionFlags` passes `flag:
permissionFlag.key as PermissionFlagType` to the create util.
Explored phantom-brand approach (`RemovedInUpgrade<T>` wrapper on the
field type, key-filter mapped type applied inside `ScalarFlatEntity` /
`UniversalFlatEntityFrom`) but previous commands could have `flag ===
undefined` (downcast from the brand since we can't compare with
UpgradeMigrationName like we do with a decorator). That's a
**silent-read** failure mode: compiles fine, comparisons against `flag`
silently always-false, no error surfaces. Probably worth too much risk
for what's a small amount of plumbing?
The eventual full deletion of `flag` (entity field included) is a future
cleanup once we drop cross-upgrade support for versions ≤ 2.6
Note: Not sure if this PR (and even the decorator) is really needed in
the end, seems we need to keep a lot of code in place to handle legacy.
Maybe a simple noop [At]Deprecated is enough @charlesBochet (and a
migration to set the column nullable if that was not the case before +
remove associated constraints)
Charles Bochet 1a9f786e42 refactor(filters): pass fieldMetadataItems array to dispatcher (#20737)
## Summary
Alternative to #20717. Same goal (clean up the filter dispatcher API
after #20670) but smaller and follows the codebase's "pass data, not
behavior" style.
The dispatcher takes a `fieldMetadataItems: FieldShared[]` array
directly instead of a `findFieldMetadataItemById: (id) => FieldShared |
undefined` callback. The util builds the id lookup internally — once per
call, used for both source-field and relation-target-field lookups. No
new types, no separate hydration step.
## What changes
**`twenty-shared`**
- `computeRecordGqlOperationFilter` /
`turnRecordFilterIntoRecordGqlOperationFilter` /
`turnRecordFilterGroupsIntoGqlOperationFilter`: replace
`findFieldMetadataItemById` param with `fieldMetadataItems` /
`fieldMetadataItemById` (internal Map).
- Remove the exported `FindFieldMetadataItemById` type.
- `turnAnyFieldFilterIntoRecordGqlFilter`: rename its internal
`fieldById` Map for consistency.
- Tests updated to pass arrays.
**Frontend (15 call sites)**
- Switch from `fieldMetadataItemByIdMapSelector` to
`flattenedFieldMetadataItemsSelector`.
- Pass `fieldMetadataItems: flattenedFieldMetadataItems` to the
dispatcher.
- `useFindManyRecordsSelectedInContextStore` keeps the Map selector
because it still does a per-filter lookup for the soft-delete check.
**Server (5 call sites)**
- Pass
`Object.values(flatFieldMetadataMaps.byUniversalIdentifier).filter(isDefined)`.
## Why this over #20717
#20717 moves resolution into a separate hydration step + introduces a
`HydratedRecordFilter` type. The bug that #20717 originally surfaced was
Sentry catching 4 critical runtime errors during review
(`fieldMetadataItemByIdMap` declared but not passed). The added type and
the explicit hydration boundary are extra surface area for not much
benefit — the existing API was a callback wrapping a Map at every call
site, and the natural simplification is to just pass the Map (or its
array) directly.
Net diff: **196 insertions, 203 deletions** (~7 lines net removed). 32
files.
## Test plan
- [x] Shared filter unit tests pass (461 tests)
- [x] Frontend filter/context-store tests pass (13 tests)
- [x] Frontend typecheck passes
- [x] Server typecheck passes
- [x] Lint passes (frontend + server)
- [ ] Integration tests on #20670 still pass — workflow find-records +
chart-data with relation-traversal filter still work end-to-end through
the new array param
Weiko ac432d3195 Add @WasRemovedInUpgrade decorator (#20729)
## Summary
Adds the symmetric counterpart to `@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` for the
upgrade-aware ORM. Today the framework can describe "this column will
exist once upgrade X applies" but not "this
column will stop existing once upgrade X applies". Plain field deletion
only works when nothing writes to the table during the mid-state window
between the binary booting and the drop
migration completing for a given workspace — fine for sparse tables
(`DropWorkspaceVersionColumn`, `DropPostgresCredentialsTable`), risky
for hot-write tables.
This PR ships the primitive on its own so the upcoming
`rolePermissionFlag.flag` drop has the framework support it needs. No
in-tree consumer yet — coverage is via unit tests against
synthetic entities.
### What's in it
- **New `@WasRemovedInUpgrade({ upgradeCommandName })` decorator**
(class- or property-scope) — mirrors `@WasIntroducedInUpgrade`, uses the
shared
`defineUpgradeMetadataOnClassOrProperty` helper, exposes class +
property getters.
- **`resolveEntityShapeAtUpgradeCursor`** now folds applied-removals
into the existing `hiddenPropertyNames` set. Intro-pending and
removal-applied share one hide bucket — both ask
TypeORM for the same thing.
- **`UpgradeAwareEntityMetadataAdapter`** now disables `isSelect`,
`isInsert`, **and** `isUpdate` for any hidden column, restoring
canonical values when the column comes back.
Previously only `isSelect` was flipped, which left an
INSERT-into-nonexistent-column hole the intro path was tacitly relying
on application code to avoid; this PR closes that hole for
both directions.
- **`validateUpgradeAwareEntityDecorators`** validates
`@WasRemovedInUpgrade` `upgradeCommandName` references, and surfaces a
new `removal-before-introduction` problem when a property
has both decorators with the removal step preceding the introduction
step.
