feat(workflow): make the flow atom authoritative for version content, read core behind a flag (#23499)
## What
The frontend half of the workflow-version read switch, plus the small
server query it consumes. Two ideas:
1. **One hook owns where content comes from.**
`useWorkflowVersionContent(workflowVersionId)` returns `{ trigger, steps
}` from the workspace record when `IS_WORKFLOW_VERSION_IN_CORE_ENABLED`
is off (default), and from the new `workflowVersionContent` core query
when on. Switching the source later (core-only, after the column drop)
is a change inside this one hook.
2. **`flowComponentState` becomes authoritative for the builder.** The
canvas, diagram and step output schemas derive from the jotai atom; the
atom is seeded once per version through the hook above; mutations keep
it up to date.
## Why the seeding change is required
Today `WorkflowDiagramEffect` re-seeds the atom from the Apollo record
on **every** `currentVersion` identity change. That has two
consequences:
- Three of the five step/edge hooks (`delete step`, `create edge`,
`delete edge`) never write the atom themselves; they only write the
record and the re-seed papers over it.
- The model breaks the moment content comes from a source mutations do
not write (i.e. core): the stale fetch would be re-applied over every
optimistic edit, and your just-added step would vanish from the canvas.
So the atom is now seeded **once per version**, and
`useUpdateWorkflowVersionCache` applies the mutation's
`stepsDiff`/`triggerDiff` to the atom directly. All five step/edge hooks
get that through their existing call, which closes the three-hook gap in
one move. The step-update, trigger and tidy-up hooks write the atom too.
The record-cache writes are all kept while `trigger`/`steps` still live
on the record (dropped later with the columns).
## The dead wire, now the refresh path
`shouldWorkflowRefetchRequestFamilyState` was set by
`WorkflowSSESubscribeEffect` (reconnect, other-tab create) and
**consumed by nothing**. It is now the external-refresh path: when set,
the builder refetches content and reseeds. Known trade-off: while
connected, another tab's edits no longer live-patch the canvas through
record cache updates (they arrive on reconnect, version switch or
reload). Given concurrent editing of one draft has no conflict handling
anyway, that seemed acceptable; easy to extend the SSE effect to set the
flag on update events if we want live propagation back.
## Untouched by design
- **Run visualizer**: feeds the same atom from the immutable
`workflowRun.state.flow` snapshot; that duality (version content or run
snapshot) is exactly why the atom stays separate from the record store.
- **Version visualizer** (read-only): reseeds on content change, safe
because nothing writes its instance optimistically.
- Peripheral readers of `currentVersion.trigger/steps` (test-workflow
command, headless command enrichment, if-else body, etc.) still read the
record. Correct while dual-writing continues; they move to the content
hook before workspace content writes stop (tracked in the migration
plan).
## Verification
- `nx typecheck` green on both packages; `oxfmt` + `oxlint --type-aware`
green on all 16 changed files
- Front unit tests: 134 suites / 993 tests green (the two hook tests
gained the visualizer instance context their hooks now require)
- New server integration test for `workflowVersionContent`
- **Live click-through pending**: step create/delete/duplicate, edge
create/delete, trigger edit, tidy-up, draft create/discard, activation,
version viewer, run viewer, with the flag off and on. The failure mode
this PR guards against (an edit vanishing from the canvas) does not show
up in typecheck or unit tests.

fix(workflow): rename the trigger step through the dedicated mutation (#23450)

feat(workflow): dedicated updateWorkflowVersionTrigger mutation + close version CRUD holes (#23207)
Prerequisite for the workflow-core soft-ref migration: every
`workflowVersion` content write must go through a dedicated,
draft-guarded server mutation so it can later be wrapped in a
transactional core mirror. This closes the generic-CRUD holes that let
writes bypass that path.
## Part A - dedicated `updateWorkflowVersionTrigger` mutation
The builder saved a version's trigger through generic
`updateOneWorkflowVersion` - the only content write not going through a
dedicated mutation. Added:
- Server: `updateWorkflowVersionTrigger(input: { workflowVersionId,
trigger })` resolver +
`WorkflowVersionStepWorkspaceService.updateWorkflowVersionTrigger`,
draft-guarded via `getValidatedDraftWorkflowVersion` then
`updateWorkflowVersionStepsAndTrigger` (reuses existing write logic).
- Front: `useUpdateWorkflowVersionTrigger` now calls the dedicated
mutation instead of `useUpdateOneRecord`.
## Part B - restrict generic `updateOneWorkflowVersion`
`validateWorkflowVersionForUpdateOne` previously allowed writing
`trigger`, `position`, `workflowId` (re-parenting),
`coreWorkflowVersionId`, and let `steps: null` slip through on a draft.
It now rejects any update that sets `steps`, `trigger`, `status`,
`workflowId`, or `coreWorkflowVersionId`, or that clears the `name`,
while still allowing a plain rename. (A name-only allowlist was tried
first but blocked legitimate renames - at the pre-hook the generic
update payload is not single-key - so it was replaced by this denylist,
verified live.)
## Part C - close the destroy/restore hole
`workflowVersion` had no `destroyOne/destroyMany/restoreOne/restoreMany`
query hooks, so a caller with object permission could hard-destroy any
version (including active) or resurrect one with no validation. Added
pre-hooks that forbid all four via the API ("Method not allowed"),
matching the existing forbidden generic mutations (`createOne`,
`deleteMany`, ...). Rationale: there is no legitimate API use for
standalone version destroy/restore - retention purging happens through
the trash-cleanup cron (internal, not hook-gated) and restore happens
through the workflow-restore cascade or create-draft-from-version.
## Tests
Integration specs that set a trigger through the generic mutation were
migrated to the new `updateWorkflowVersionTrigger` mutation (new
`update-workflow-version-trigger.util.ts`). Unit test for the front hook
updated.
## Verification
- `twenty-server` + `twenty-front` typecheck: clean.
- oxlint + oxfmt on all changed files: clean.
- `graphql.ts` regenerated for the new mutation; its types match the
server DTOs exactly. Local `graphql:generate` introspects a running
server, so it only succeeds against a server built from this branch - CI
regenerates against the PR server and verifies.

feat(workflow): condition filter on database-event triggers (#21868)
## Problem
Connecting a mailbox bulk-creates contacts via the email/calendar sync,
and each `person.upserted` fires the seeded **"Create company when
adding a new person"** workflow. The trigger enqueues one run per record
(no batching) and each run bills several `WORKFLOW_NODE_RUN` events — so
a single mailbox connect can rack up tens of thousands of runs and
exhaust credits on a brand-new workspace. The workflow is also redundant
on that path: the sync already creates the company from the email domain
and links the person to it.
## What this does
Adds an optional, user-defined **filter** to database-event (listener)
triggers, evaluated in the listener **before a run is enqueued**.
Non-matching events never create a run, so they consume zero execution
credits. This is the Filter node's capability, lifted to the trigger
level, and available for all event types (created / updated / upserted /
deleted).
The seeded "Create company when adding a new person" workflow now

proving non-matching events are not enqueued. All backend

fix(workflow): show fields for system objects in record-updated trigger (#21826)

Remove twenty-ui-deprecated and migrate frontend to twenty-ui (#21596)
Migrates `twenty-front`, `twenty-sdk`, and `twenty-front-component-renderer` from `twenty-ui-deprecated` to `twenty-ui` (mechanical import swap — the packages have API parity) and deletes the deprecated package along with its workspace/CI/config wiring. Also adds `@linaria/react`/`@linaria/core` as direct deps of `twenty-front` (it used them transitively via the deprecated package). Note: move the required status check from `ci-ui-status-check` to `ci-new-ui-status-check`. Argos: the Storybook box-model/button-reset baseline shift (the bulk of the visual diffs) is isolated in #21665 — Storybook now loads twenty-ui's global `reset.scss`, which the production app already ships. Once #21665 merges and this branch is rebased, the remaining Argos diffs are component-level visual-parity items only. |

security: strip Node dev headers from images + lingui 5.9.5 (drops vulnerable esbuild) (#21448)
## Context
AWS Inspector flags the `prod-twenty` image (built from current main)
with 16 findings, and Dependabot alert 174 flags esbuild. This PR fixes
the OpenSSL scanner findings and the esbuild CVE. The typeorm bump
(CVE-2025-60542) was **pulled out of this PR** — see "typeorm status"
below.
## Changes
### Strip `/usr/local/include/node` from runtime stages
(`twenty-server`, `twenty-app-dev`)
15 OpenSSL CVEs (June 9 advisory, incl. CRITICAL CVE-2026-34182) are all
detected via **Node's bundled OpenSSL dev headers**: 3 GENERIC
`openssl/openssl` 3.5.6 detections per CVE at
`/usr/local/include/node/openssl/archs/linux-x86_64/{asm,asm_avx2,no-asm}/include/openssl/opensslv.h`.
The headers are only needed by node-gyp and native addons are compiled
in the build stages — nothing compiles at runtime. Dropping them clears
all 45 detection instances and permanently ends this class of finding
(third occurrence: 3.5.5 → 3.5.6 → 3.5.7). None of these CVEs are
reachable through Node (no CMS/PKCS#7 API, `pfx` is operator-supplied,
Node's QUIC uses ngtcp2, ASN.1 issues need ~2GB inputs).
**Follow-up (~June 17, 2026):** the `node` binary itself still
statically links OpenSSL 3.5.6 — invisible to the scanner after this PR
and unreachable in practice, but the real fix is bumping the pinned
`node:24-alpine` digest once the [announced June 17 Node.js security
releases](https://nodejs.org/en/blog/vulnerability/june-2026-security-releases)
ship a 24.x linking OpenSSL ≥ 3.5.7 (verify via
`deps/openssl/openssl/VERSION.dat` on the release tag — 24.16.0 is still
on 3.5.6). A dated TODO sits next to the cleanup in the Dockerfile.
### esbuild dev-server CORS CVE (Dependabot alert 174,
GHSA-67mh-4wv8-2f99)
`@lingui/cli@5.1.2` (pins `esbuild ^0.21.5`) was the last parent
resolving a vulnerable esbuild (≤ 0.24.2 lets any website send requests
to the dev server and read responses). Instead of a resolution override,
this bumps the lockstepped **lingui suite 5.1.2 → 5.9.5** (within-major;
lingui adopted `esbuild ^0.25.1` in 5.4.1), which:
- removes `esbuild@0.21.5` and all its platform packages from the
lockfile with no forced ranges;
- drops the `@lingui/core` lockstep resolution (its comment marked it
droppable on the next coordinated lingui bump — the tree now resolves a
single `@lingui/core@5.9.5`);
- `@lingui/swc-plugin` stays at `^5.11.0` (peers on `@lingui/core: 5`;
its 6.x line targets lingui 6).
**lingui 5.9.5 behavioral fallout handled here:**
- Translation functions now **throw without an active locale** (5.1.2
fell back silently). The global `i18n` singleton that backs server-side
`` t`…` `` calls only had a messages compiler set, never an activated
locale → activate the source locale in `I18nService.loadTranslations()`,
mirrored in the server jest setup (unit tests bypass Nest bootstrap).
- `msg`/`t` placeholders are now strictly typed (reject
`null`/`undefined`/`unknown`) → one server call site and 16 twenty-front
files adapted with minimal nullish-coalescing fixes that preserve
rendering.
- `.po`/compiled-catalog churn from the new extractor/compiler
(reference reordering, sorted keys — verified content-identical on
unchanged `.po` inputs) is intentionally not committed: the scheduled
i18n workflows regenerate those.
## typeorm status (pulled out)
typeorm 0.3.20 → 0.3.26 was originally in this PR but **made workspace
metadata sync intermittently lossy**: `example-app-postcard` failed
twice with a *different* field missing from the synced PostCard object
each run, and one integration shard's `DataSeedWorkspaceCommand` died
with "Could not find flat entity with universal identifier …" — versus
zero such failures on recent main. Local runs (db reset + seed, group-by
integration suite 19/19) pass, so it is a nondeterministic
CI-load-sensitive regression that needs dedicated debugging (typeorm
changed LIMIT/OFFSET 0 semantics, lazy count for `getManyAndCount`,
upsert WHERE construction, and topological-sort internals in that
range). The resolutions comment documents this as the blocker;
CVE-2025-60542 is MySQL-driver-only (`sqlstring`), so Postgres-only
Twenty is not exposed in the meantime.

[DevXP] Simplify twenty-ui theme system: replace auto-generated files with static CSS variables (#18389)
## Summary Now that Twenty has fully migrated from Emotion to Linaria, the theme system has been simplified to remove unnecessary complexity that existed only to support the old runtime injection pattern. ### What changed - **Deleted** `generateThemeConstants.ts` script and the entire `generated/` directory — no more auto-generation - **Added** `theme-light.css` and `theme-dark.css`: static CSS files with 991 custom properties each, scoped under `.light` and `.dark` selectors respectively - **Moved** `themeCssVariables.ts` out of `generated/` and hand-maintain it as a static `as const` object of `var(--t-*)` references (Linaria can statically evaluate these at build time) - **Extracted** numeric constants (`MOBILE_VIEWPORT`, `ICON_SIZES`, `ICON_STROKES`) into a new `constants.ts` — CSS variables can't be used in media queries or as numeric icon size props - **Simplified** `ThemeContextProvider`: removed `ThemeCssVariableInjectorEffect` entirely; now uses a single `useLayoutEffect` to toggle `.light`/`.dark` class on `<html>` - **Added** `class="light"` to `index.html` as default to prevent FOUC before React hydration ### Why The previous setup maintained a dual system: JS theme objects (`THEME_LIGHT`/`THEME_DARK`) used at runtime, plus a generation script that produced CSS variable entry arrays, which were then injected into the DOM by `ThemeCssVariableInjectorEffect`. ## Migrate twenty-ui from Emotion to Linaria
Completes the migration of all `twenty-ui` components from Emotion
(runtime CSS-in-JS) to Linaria (zero-runtime, CSS extracted at build
time).
- Replaced `@emotion/styled` with `@linaria/react` across ~170 files
- Removed all Emotion dependencies from `twenty-ui`
- Introduced a CSS custom properties-based theme system:
`themeCssVariables` where every leaf is a `var(--t-xxx)` reference,
injected onto `document.documentElement` by
`ThemeCssVariableInjectorEffect`
- No more `theme` prop threading — styled components reference
`themeCssVariables.x.y` directly at build time
- Updated `twenty-front` consumers to remove `theme={theme}` prop
passing

### Theme architecture
Two build-time utilities produce the theme system:
- **`buildThemeReferencingRootCssVariables`** — walks the theme object
and builds a nested mirror where every leaf is a `var(--t-xxx)` string
(evaluated at build time by wyw-in-js)
- **`prepareThemeForRootCssVariableInjection`** — walks the runtime
theme and collects flat `[--css-variable-name, value]` pairs, injected
onto `document.documentElement` by `ThemeCssVariableInjectorEffect`
Both share naming conventions (`camelToKebab`, `SPACING_VALUES`,
`formatSpacingKey`) and are unit tested.
### Spacing cleanup
Spacing scale now uses integers 0–32 (generated via loop), with `0.5`
and `1.5` as the only fractional exceptions. All other fractional
spacing usages (`0.25`, `0.75`, `1.25`, `2.5`, `3.5`) were replaced with
literal pixel values across ~20 twenty-front files.
### Framer Motion integration
Linaria doesn't support `styled(motion.div)` — wrapping a motion element
with `styled()` causes the component body to be stripped at build time.
Instead, we define the styled component first, then wrap it with
`motion.create()`:

### Block interpolations
Linaria doesn't support interpolations that return multiple CSS
declarations (Linaria wraps the entire block in a single `var()`,
producing invalid CSS). These were split into individual property
interpolations:

When a component needs to compute styles from multiple props with
complex branching logic (e.g. `Button` combining `variant`, `accent`,
`inverted`, `disabled`, `focus`, `position`), Linaria's prop
interpolations become unwieldy. In those cases we use a
`computeDynamicStyles` function that returns a `CSSProperties` object
injected via `style={}`, referenced from the static CSS with `var()`:

components.

Compute output schema on frontend (#16530)

Which means that, when the database schema is updated - like a field creation - steps needs to be deleted an recreated. Which is invisible to users. Solution : schema generation is moved on frontend side 1. Coming on the page the first time, the schema is populated for all steps except a few ones that are handled differently (Code, Webhook, http node, Agent) 2. A separated state allow to determine if a step needs a recomputation. 3. The user only needs a refresh to see the whole schema re-computed Follow-up: - check if remaining backend steps could be moved to runtime computation. feat: display specific action types in workflow side panel tooltips (#15013)
## What I've Implemented I've added tooltips that show the original action type when you hover over workflow step icons in the side panel. Now even if you rename an action to something custom, you can still see what type of action it actually is by hovering over the icon. ## The Problem This Solves Before this change, once you renamed a workflow action (like changing "Create Record" to "Add New Customer"), there was no way to tell what the original action type was. This made it really confusing when collaborating with others or when coming back to your own workflows after some time - you couldn't tell if an action was a "Create Record" or "Update Record" or something else. ## What Changed Updated action type labels: Instead of showing just "Action" for all record operations, the system now shows specific types like "Create Record", "Update Record", "Delete Record", etc. Added hover tooltips: When you hover over the action icons in the workflow side panel, a tooltip appears showing the original action type, even if you've renamed the step title. ## Before vs After Before: All actions showed "Action" in the side panel, making it impossible to distinguish between different types after renaming. After: Each action shows its specific type in tooltips, so you always know what you're working with. This should make workflow management much clearer, especially when multiple people are collaborating on the same workflow! Infer array current item schema (#15115)
This PR allows to infer the schema of the current item of an iterator step: - iterator step receive a variable - added an util that navigate to the array in schema - navigateOutputSchemaProperty - use the array value in schema to generate a new schema - used the existing getFunctionOutputSchema that I renamed and moved to twenty-shared Also cleaned a bit the existing schema for AI.
