feat: kanban, calendar and group-by table layouts for dashboard view widgets (#22963)
## Context Dashboard view widgets previously only rendered flat tables. This PR ships the full feature: **Table with group-by**, **Kanban**, and **Calendar** layouts for dashboard view widgets — server API + frontend, end-to-end. (Originally staged as a 4-PR stack — #22966, #22967, #22968 — consolidated here per review.) ## Server / API - **View typing.** Adds `KANBAN_WIDGET` and `CALENDAR_WIDGET` to `ViewType` (following the `TABLE_WIDGET` precedent) so widget-backing views keep their layout in `view.type` while staying excluded from record-index pickers. Shared `getViewLayoutFromViewType()` maps widget types to their base layout; `isWidgetViewType()` centralizes the exclusions that were previously hardcoded per-site. - **Migrations.** Two fast instance commands (**2.23**): `ALTER TYPE core.view_type_enum ADD VALUE` for both values, and a widened `CHK_VIEW_CALENDAR_INTEGRITY` constraint covering `CALENDAR_WIDGET` (entity `@Check` updated for fresh installs). - **Validation.** `FlatViewValidatorService` keys kanban/calendar validation on the mapped layout, so widget views get the same invariants as index views (kanban needs a groupable group-by field; calendar needs a date field + layout). Calendar widget views default to month; a non-month (DAY/WEEK) layout is rejected at the API level **unless** the `IS_CALENDAR_WEEK_VIEW_ENABLED` feature flag is enabled for the workspace — the same flag that gates day/week on index calendars. - **API.** `upsertViewWidget` (LAYOUTS permission) accepts a nested `view` settings input (`type`, `mainGroupByFieldMetadataId`, `shouldHideEmptyGroups`, kanban aggregate/column-width, calendar layout/fields). Routes through the standard update path, so `viewGroups` auto-generate from SELECT options exactly like index views. Only widget view types accepted; only `RECORD_TABLE` widgets can change view settings. - **AI tools.** `create-complete-dashboard` + `create_view` now use/allow the `*_WIDGET` types (previously they created plain `TABLE` views that leak into index pickers). ## Frontend **Settings panel.** The **Source** (object) row comes first, since which layouts are available depends on it. The **Layout** row below is a working dropdown (Table / Kanban / Calendar); layouts the source object can't support are **disabled with a hint** ("Needs a Select field" / "Needs a Date field") rather than hidden. Group-by row (select fields; searchable) with a **Hide empty groups** toggle while grouped; **Date field** row replaces Group by while Calendar is active, and — when the `IS_CALENDAR_WEEK_VIEW_ENABLED` flag is on — a **Calendar view** row (Day / Week / Month) appears beside it; **Limit** row hidden while grouped (only the flat virtualized loader enforces it). Kanban keeps its group-by locked (no `None` option). **Instant edit-mode preview.** Draft snapshots carry `viewGroups`; picking a group-by synthesizes them client-side (`buildDraftViewGroupsForFieldMetadataItem`, mirroring the server's generation), so grouped tables/boards preview immediately before dashboard save. On save, `upsertViewWidget` responses hand back the server-generated groups, which replace the client-generated ones in the persisted snapshot. **Renderers.** `RecordTableWidgetRendererContent` branches on the backing view's layout: `RecordBoardWidget` (wraps the standard `RecordBoardContainer`) and `RecordCalendarWidget` (mounts the existing `RecordCalendar`, which renders month / day / week) inside the same per-widget provider sandbox the table uses. **Read-only semantics.** Two flags with distinct scopes, each documented on its state: - `isRecordBoardViewSettingsReadOnlyComponentState` — locks the board chrome that edits view settings (add group, column reorder/resize/menu, aggregates); **card drag still updates records** under object permissions. - `isRecordCalendarReadOnlyComponentState` — widget calendars are read-only by default (no drag, no add-new, no in-calendar layout switch); cards open the side panel. The one exception, behind `IS_CALENDAR_WEEK_VIEW_ENABLED`: a **live (non edit-mode) day/week** widget calendar allows drag-to-reschedule and record creation under object permissions. Month calendars and edit-mode previews stay read-only. **Calendar state componentization.** The calendar module's three settings move from global atoms to component states keyed on `RecordCalendarComponentInstanceContext` (same pattern as record-board), so several calendar widgets and an index-page calendar can coexist without leaking state. All readers resolve the ambient instance; calendar unit tests updated. **Multi-instance fixes that also fix index pages:** record drag states were written against a different instance than every reader resolves (now use the ambient instance); the board sticky-header DOM id is namespaced per board; dragged board cards portal to `document.body` while dragging so react-grid-layout's transforms can't offset the clone from the pointer. ## Scope (v1) - Widget calendars are month-only and read-only by default. With `IS_CALENDAR_WEEK_VIEW_ENABLED` enabled, day/week layouts become selectable (UI + API) and live day/week widget calendars support drag-to-reschedule and record creation under object permissions. - Widget group-by offers SELECT fields only (server auto-generates groups from options; widgets have no per-record add-group flow). ## Tests - Integration: `upsert-view-widget-view-settings.integration-spec.ts` (9 tests — group auto-creation, invalid type/field rejections, non-month calendar widget rejected while the week/day flag is off and accepted once it's enabled, combined settings+fields call); pre-existing `upsert-view-widget` suite (20) green. - Front: new suites for draft view-group generation and snapshot clone/build utils; calendar suites componentized; full `twenty-front` jest, typecheck, oxlint green; `twenty-server` typecheck + lint green. - Browser-verified end-to-end (real dev server + seeded workspace): configure → live edit-mode preview → save → reload for all three layouts; measured drag with pointer inside the card; index-page calendar re-verified (with the week/day flag enabled). https://claude.ai/code/session_01E5N87kwwZWhDtEQaP72cMf |

fix(metadata): resync metadata store via collection hashes on SSE reconnect (#22956)
## Context Follow-up to #22562 (merged), which fixed the SSE-gap durability hole from #22504 by calling `invalidateMetadataStore()` on SSE reconnect. In review, @Weiko and a second reviewer flagged a performance concern: firing a full invalidation on every reconnect can spam the backend, and reconnect frequency is unbounded (`retryAttempts: Infinity`). The steer was to lean on the per-collection hashes that `FindMinimalMetadata` already returns and refetch only what actually changed. ## Problem `invalidateMetadataStore()` sets `currentCollectionHash: undefined` for every entity key. The staleness check in `useLoadMinimalMetadata` is `entry.currentCollectionHash !== hash`, so nulling the hash makes **every** collection compare as stale. Result: each reconnect forces a full refetch of every metadata collection (objects, fields, views, ...), even when nothing changed during the gap. That defeats the collection-hash mechanism built to avoid exactly this. ## Change Add `useResyncMetadataStore`, which only bumps `metadataLoadedVersionState` without clearing collection hashes. `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` already re-runs on a version change, so this triggers one `FindMinimalMetadata` query; the existing hash comparison then marks only genuinely-changed collections stale. `SSEClientEffect` now calls `resyncMetadataStore()` instead of `invalidateMetadataStore()` on reconnect. Net: same durability guarantee (changes missed during a disconnect are caught on reconnect), but cost per reconnect drops from "refetch everything" to "one lightweight hash query + refetch only what changed." ## Testing 1. Open a record page in a workspace. 2. Create a field / page-layout tab via the metadata API while the SSE stream is dropped (background the tab, kill the network briefly, or restart the server). 3. On reconnect the new metadata appears without a manual reload. 4. Reconnect with no metadata change triggers only a `FindMinimalMetadata` query and no collection refetch. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22956?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Add CREATED workspace activation status (read path + enum migration) (#22904)
## Context Since v2 onboarding (#22303), workspaces are activated **before** the billing plan step (now the last onboarding step). Users abandoning at the plan step leave ACTIVE workspaces with a Stripe customer but no subscription (~60–110/day on cloud, 935+ so far), and no cleanup mechanism ever touches them: billing webhooks never fire (no subscription), the suspended-workspaces cron only handles SUSPENDED, the onboarding cron only handles PENDING_CREATION/ONGOING_CREATION. Target lifecycle (across two PRs): `PENDING_CREATION → ONGOING_CREATION → CREATED → ACTIVE → SUSPENDED → deleted`. **`CREATED`** = the workspace schema is provisioned but onboarding is not complete — no billing subscription yet. It is **not** considered active: | Concern | CREATED behavior | |---|---| | Sign-in / invited teammates joining | allowed (invite-team step precedes the plan step) | | Member + metadata loading (app shell) | allowed (user must finish onboarding) | | Permissions | real permission checks (no PENDING-style bypass) | | Version upgrades / workspace migrations | **included** (schema must not drift) | | Messaging/calendar/workflow/etc. crons | **excluded** — no background processing until a plan is chosen | | PLAN_REQUIRED onboarding lock | unchanged (still derived from subscription existence) | ## What this PR does (read path only) The enum addition ships as a **slow** instance command, which can run after deploy — so nothing in this PR ever **writes** `CREATED`. The write path (setting it at activation, the cleanup sweep, the backfill of the existing zombie cohort) is a follow-up PR that ships once this migration has run everywhere. - **twenty-shared**: `CREATED` enum value; `PROVISIONED_WORKSPACE_ACTIVATION_STATUSES` + `isWorkspaceProvisioned` ("schema exists": CREATED | ACTIVE | SUSPENDED), replacing `isWorkspaceActiveOrSuspended` — all call sites (server member loading, access-token workspace-member lookup, front metadata-store gates) meant "has schema/members". - **Slow instance command** (2.22.0): swaps `core.workspace_activationStatus_enum` using the rename→recreate→alter-column idiom. The CHECK constraints on `core.workspace` embed casts to the enum type and would break the swap — the command captures them from `pg_constraint`, drops them, swaps the type, and restores them. - **Pre-migration-safe queries**: Postgres rejects `IN ('CREATED', ...)` when the enum value does not exist yet — even for reads, and the instance-command runner itself queries provisioned workspaces before migrating (a fresh database could never initialize). All provisioned-status filters go through a new `activationStatusIn` util comparing on `"activationStatus"::text`, valid before and after the migration. - **Upgrade path**: workspace iterator, command runner, upgrade-status and workspace-version services iterate CREATED workspaces. Since they now cover more than ACTIVE/SUSPENDED, the stale names were renamed to `ProvisionedWorkspaceCommandRunner`, `hasProvisionedWorkspaces`, `getProvisionedWorkspaceIds`, `loadProvisionedWorkspaces` (the mechanical import rename in old version-command dirs is why this PR carries the `ci:allow-previous-version-upgrade-mutation` label). - **Sign-in**: `throwIfWorkspaceIsNotReadyForSignInUp` accepts CREATED so invited members can join during onboarding (join authorization itself is unchanged — enforced upstream in `checkAccessForSignIn`); `activateWorkspace` idempotent-retry accepts CREATED as a terminal state. - **Transitions out of CREATED** (only write ACTIVE — safe to ship now, dead until the write path lands): the Stripe webhook reactivation branch also promotes CREATED, and `syncSubscriptionToDatabase` promotes synchronously; both gated on `WORKSPACE_ACTIVATING_SUBSCRIPTION_STATUSES` (Active/Trialing — extracted from `shouldReactivateWorkspace`, behavior-preserving) so an `incomplete` subscription created by the payment-intent flow before payment never promotes the workspace. - Deliberately untouched: all background crons, permission guards, JWT strategy, PLAN_REQUIRED logic, admin panel (renders the raw status string). ## Follow-up PR (after this migration has run) 1. `activateWorkspace` sets `hasWorkspaceAnySubscription ? ACTIVE : CREATED` (billing disabled → always ACTIVE, self-hosted unchanged). 2. Cleanup: suspend CREATED workspaces older than N days (config var), handing them to the existing suspended pipeline (warn → soft-delete → destroy). 3. Backfill: cloud-only slow command moving ACTIVE workspaces with no billingSubscription row (created since Jul 1) to CREATED. ## Verification - Migration exercised against a real database via the command class: up → down → up; `enum_range` and `pg_get_constraintdef` checked after each step (constraints restored against the new type, `DEFAULT 'INACTIVE'` preserved). - Pre-migration safety exercised for real: with the migration rolled back (enum without CREATED), `run-instance-commands` — the exact fresh-database CI path that failed before the `::text` fix — completes cleanly. - End-to-end with a workspace manually set to CREATED and the branch server+front running: sign-in issues tokens, `currentUser` loads workspaceMember(s), the full app loads with no console errors; GraphQL returns `activationStatus: CREATED`. - Workspace creation ran end-to-end locally in **both billing modes** on this branch: - billing disabled: signup → workspace creation → ACTIVE immediately → onboarding completes with no plan step → app loads (unchanged behavior); - billing enabled (Stripe test mode): signup creates the Stripe customer eagerly → activation ends ACTIVE → subscription-less workspace is pinned to the plan-required page → no-card trial checkout creates a `trialing` subscription via `createDirectSubscription`/`syncSubscriptionToDatabase` → app loads. - `twenty-shared` unit tests, server specs on touched services, `lint:diff-with-main` and `typecheck` for shared/server/front all green; full CI green. |

fix(front): clean stale morph relations from metadata store on object deletion (#22681)
## Problem After deleting a custom object (e.g. `meeting`), the app crashes with "Sorry, something went wrong" on pages that load records referencing that object through a morph relation. The console shows: ``` Target object metadata item not found for target (morph target meeting) ``` It reproduces on the machine that used the object before deletion but not on a fresh machine, which points at a stale client metadata store rather than a server issue. ## Root cause Every field carries its own server-provided `morphRelations` array; a morph relation field (note/task/timeline targets, etc.) lists every object it can point to, including the deleted one. When an object is deleted, `useDeleteOneObjectMetadataItem` and the SSE `delete` handler only remove the deleted **object** and its own fields from the metadata store. The sibling morph fields on other objects keep their now-dangling `morphRelations` entry pointing at the deleted object. Those stale entries were only meant to be cleaned up later by a collection-hash-triggered `network-only` refetch. When that reconciliation does not win, `generateDepthRecordGqlFieldsFromFields` can't resolve the deleted morph target in `objectMetadataItems` and throws, crashing the page. ## Fix Clean `morphRelations` entries referencing the deleted object from the field metadata store at deletion time, so the store stays self-consistent immediately instead of relying on an async refetch. Applied in both paths that handle object deletion: - `useDeleteOneObjectMetadataItem` (the client performing the deletion) - `MetadataStoreSSEEffect` delete handler (other tabs/clients receiving the event) The throw in `generateDepthRecordGqlFieldsFromFields` is intentionally left in place so any genuine future metadata inconsistency still surfaces rather than being silently swallowed. ## Test Added a unit test for the cleaning util covering: morph relations targeting the deleted object are removed, only changed fields are returned, non-morph fields are untouched, and nothing is returned when no relation targets the deleted object. |

Remove v1 onboarding and rely only on v2 (#22398)
https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/a6bfaac3-6c79-4fd5-999a-e6a70cff8ac8 Removes the old (v1) signup and onboarding flow now that v2 is the only path, and drops the `isOnboardingV2` flag entirely. The surviving (formerly-v2) pages reclaim the canonical `AppPath` members and clean URLs (`/welcome`, `/verify`, `/workspace-activation`, `/create/profile`, `/sync/emails`, `/install-apps`, `/invite-team`, `/plan-required`). - Deletes the v1 pages, the v1 workspace-creation form, the `isOnboardingV2State` flag + `onboardingV2` URL-param plumbing, and `InstallAppsAutoSkipEffect`. - Collapses the router and page-change navigation matrix to a single set of paths, and renames the v2 components/stories to drop the `V2` suffix. Follow-up fixes so the single flow behaves correctly on every deployment: - Restore the captcha-token, query-param and pageview effects on the default (root) domain, and serve `/authorize` there so OAuth login keeps working. - Gate the invite-team → `/plan-required` interception on billing so billing-disabled instances aren't trapped on the upgrade page. - On a cold boot to an auth/onboarding path, show the onboarding loader instead of the CRM skeleton, and add `/verify-email` and `/plan-required/payment-success` to that loader path list. - Add a retry to PaymentSuccess after the confirmation timeout, fix the InstallApps icon crossfade, restyle the book-call pages for the full-page layout, and delete code orphaned by the v1 removal. - Extract the pageview/captcha/query-param logic out of `PageChangeEffect` into standalone Effect components shared by the root and workspace app trees. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22398?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> --------- Co-authored-by: Félix Malfait <felix.malfait@gmail.com> |

v2 onboarding: dedicated verify step and upgrade-free-trial as the last step (#22303)
https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b1ee4f77-c6d7-4638-b9f1-dd801d1cc0db Completes the onboarding-v2 flow: a dedicated verify step, the reordering that makes the plan step come last, and the upgrade-free-trial page itself. ## Verify step (`/verify-v2`) After the cross-domain token exchange, v2 sign-ups land on a clean `BlankLayout` "Verifying your email" screen (fading Twenty logo) instead of the v1 `AuthModal` flashing over the background mock. The redirect target is chosen from `isOnboardingV2` (read from the Jotai store at redirect time). The pulsing logo is extracted into a shared `OnboardingPulsingLogo`, reused by the workspace-activation loader. `/verify-v2` joins the same exempt lists as `/verify` (ongoing-creation guard, metadata gater, apollo unauthenticated handler, captcha, page title) — intentionally not `useShowAuthModal`, which is what drops the modal. ## Plan step is now last `getOnboardingStatus` checks `PLAN_REQUIRED` after invite-team instead of first, so onboarding runs workspace activation → email → profile → invite → plan. This is what lets the upgrade step be reached as the final step instead of gating right after sign-up. Applies to both v1 and v2 (same order). ## Upgrade free trial page (`PlanRequiredV2` → `ChooseYourPlanV2` / `UpgradeFreeTrial`) The final step, full-screen under `BlankLayout` via `OnboardingV2Layout`, matching the Figma (billing card with the Stripe form, the "Basic / without credit card" option, trial + credits pills). Reuses the v1 `ChooseYourPlanContent` billing logic (`SubscriptionPaymentForm`, `useHandleCheckoutSession`). The "+N free credits" reward comes from `clientConfig.onboarding.upgradeCreditsReward` (sourced from `BILLING_FREE_WORKFLOW_CREDITS_FOR_TRIAL_PERIOD_WITH_CREDIT_CARD`). ## Also Fixes a latent staleness in the Apollo `onUnauthenticatedError` handler — it captured `location` from the memoized client, now read via a ref — so auth-path exemptions are correct after navigation. Note: the onboarding step order change affects v1 too (plan becomes its last step as well). |

Add v2 onboarding loading screen while creating workspace (#22152)
https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/cc7b1d10-7495-4f21-9311-4c22c0f14771 Adds the full-screen loading screen shown while a new workspace is being created in the v2 sign-up flow (`SignInUpV2`), building on the v2 "Create your workspace" step. How it works: - Submitting the v2 create-workspace form marks the flow as v2 (`isOnboardingV2State`) and creates the workspace. The flag is carried across the cross-subdomain redirect with an `onboardingV2=true` URL param, so v2 users land on a new `/workspace-activation-v2` route instead of v1's `/workspace-activation`. - `WorkspaceActivationV2` runs the real `activateWorkspace` mutation on mount and renders the loader: a pulsing Twenty logomark above a stack of status messages that shift up one at a time, cycling once per second. There is no faked/minimum duration; it advances to the next onboarding step as soon as the workspace is activated. - On activation failure it shows a "Workspace creation failed" screen with a Retry button. v1 onboarding is unchanged. Storybook: `Modules/Auth/SignInUpWorkspaceActivationV2`. Note: The flashes will be fixed in later PRs <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22152?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Add new onboarding login screen at /welcome-v2 (#22027)
Stands up the new onboarding login screen at a new route `/welcome-v2`, as the foundation for the new onboarding flow (future PRs build the post-login steps on top of it). There is no feature flag: feature flags are per-workspace and read from `currentWorkspaceState`, which is null on the pre-auth welcome screen, so they can't cleanly gate it. A dedicated route is used instead. `/welcome` is untouched and stays the default for logged-out users; `/welcome-v2` is reachable only by navigating to it directly (nothing links or redirects to it yet), so this is fully non-breaking. The new page reuses all existing auth logic and behavior components (`useSignInUp`, `useSignInUpForm`, step state, the Google/Microsoft/credentials forms, `Logo`, `Title`, `ModalContent`) and mirrors `SignInUp.tsx` almost exactly. The only intentional design delta from today's screen is the footer wording, per Figma: "Data Processing Agreement" (linking to `/legal/dpa`) instead of "Privacy Policy". Notable: - Added an optional `to` prop to the shared `Logo` (defaults to `AppPath.SignInUp`, backward-compatible) so the logo on `/welcome-v2` doesn't bounce users back to `/welcome`. - The remaining changes are single-line additions to the pre-auth allowlists next to the existing `AppPath.SignInUp` entries (router, redirect guard, auth modal, metadata gater, captcha, page title, focus). https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/abfc96ec-a87d-4608-b92a-87e2322e4874 <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22027?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

fix(metadata): remove deprecated isCustom from Objects and Fields (#21799)
## Context Follow-up to #21228, which deprecated `isCustom` on object/field metadata but kept it exposed because the frontend still relied on it. This removes it from the GraphQL API and the frontend entirely. ## Implementation ### Server - Remove `isCustom` `@Field` from the `Object`, `Field`, and `MinimalObjectMetadata` GraphQL types - Remove the `isCustom` `@ResolveField` resolvers and the `isCustomLoader` dataloader (+ payload/interface) - Remove `isCustom` as an internal `@HideField()` on the Object/Field DTOs used by the i18n standard-override gate > Use an explicit isStandard instead (which is the correct gating) ### Frontend - Add `getIsMetadataItemCustom` helper + `useGetIsMetadataItemCustom` hook: an item is custom when `applicationId === currentWorkspace.workspaceCustomApplication.id` - Migrate all consumers off `objectMetadataItem.isCustom` / `fieldMetadataItem.isCustom`; `isRecordFieldReadOnly` now takes a precomputed `isFieldCustom` - Drop `isCustom` from the metadata fragment/mutations/minimal query, FE types, zod schemas, and mock generators; regenerate GraphQL types ## Notes - Breaking change on the (already-deprecated) `Object.isCustom` / `Field.isCustom` GraphQL fields and the `isCustom` filter - FE semantic is "belongs to the workspace custom app" (third-party-app objects/fields are treated as non-custom) - `isCustom` on IndexMetadata / View / Skill / Agent is a separate column and is untouched - Breaking changes on REST metadata API |

feat(auth): collect the workspace logo on the sign-up creation step (#21723)
## What & why A single, consistent **workspace-creation step** for both multi-workspace and single-workspace self-host — collecting **name + logo** (and the **subdomain** in multi-workspace) — which **removes the duplicate name/logo prompt** that previously reappeared on the workspace subdomain (reported after #21641). ## Changes **One creation form for both modes** - With 0 workspaces, both multi-workspace and single-workspace route to the shared `SignInUpWorkspaceCreationForm`; `SignInUp` renders it for the `WorkspaceCreation` step regardless of domain/scope. - The subdomain field shows only in multi-workspace; single-workspace keeps its fixed address. **Logo on the creation step** - New scoped `uploadNewWorkspaceLogo(workspaceId, file)` mutation: the creator sets a logo on their just-created `PENDING_CREATION` workspace via the workspace-agnostic token (membership enforced — only the creator is a member at that point), reusing `uploadWorkspacePicture`. Upload size is capped via `settings.storage.maxFileSize` (also applied to the existing logo / profile-picture uploads). - The picked file is held locally (object-URL preview, revoked on unmount) and uploaded right after creation (non-fatal on failure). **Onboarding step → pure activation loader** - The old "Create your workspace" form (name + logo) is removed. The onboarding step now activates the pending workspace on mount and shows the loader, with a **Retry** action on failure. ## Testing - typecheck (front + server) ✅; oxlint + oxfmt clean on changed files ✅ - Unit tests: `auth.resolver.spec`, `useWorkspaceSubdomainField`, `SignInUpWorkspaceCreationForm` (multi + single-workspace), `useAuth` ✅ - Metadata GraphQL + `twenty-client-sdk` schema regenerated. fix(front): wait for viewFields + fieldMetadataItems before opening the metadata gate (#21713)
## Problem On twenty-main, loading a record-index/standalone page for the first time renders the page chrome (title, view chip with record count) but the table body stays blank. A subsequent reload fixes it. Regression introduced by the cache-first `currentUser` bootstrap (#21532); follow-up to #21592, which already mentioned the experiment "should be reviewed." ## Root cause (concurrency) The metadata loader runs in two phases and the gate opens between them: 1. **`loadMinimalMetadata`** fast-paths `objectMetadataItems` and `views` to `status: 'up-to-date'` with only their *minimal* fields. `viewFields` and `fieldMetadataItems` stay `'empty'`. 2. **`IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect`** opens the gate as soon as those two are `'up-to-date'` — before viewFields exist. 3. The page mounts. `viewsSelector` joins views with an empty `viewFields` collection, so `view.viewFields = []`. `RecordIndexLoadBaseOnContextStoreEffect` calls `loadRecordIndexStates(view, …)` with the empty viewFields and pins `loadedViewId === contextStoreCurrentViewId`. 4. `loadStaleMetadataEntities` later populates viewFields; the selector recomputes, but the effect bails out on the `loadedViewId` guard. `currentRecordFields` stays empty. 5. `visibleRecordFields` stays empty → `RecordTableVirtualizedInitialDataLoadEffect` hits its `isEmpty(visibleRecordFields)` guard and never fetches → empty body. The "300" count visible in the screenshot comes from `useGetRecordIndexTotalCount`'s separate aggregate query, which doesn't depend on viewFields. **Why the gate close/reopen self-heal doesn't work reliably:** `replaceDraft → applyChanges` happen in the same microtask chain. React 18 automatic batching collapses both into a single render where status goes `'empty' → 'up-to-date'` without an intermediate `'draft-pending'` observable to React. The gate never closes, children never unmount, `loadedViewId` is never reset. **Why it surfaced after #21532:** Before, `currentUser` was loaded only after `GetCurrentUser` returned — by which time `loadStaleMetadataEntities` had typically also completed and viewFields were populated when the gate opened. Now the cached `currentUser` lets the gate open the moment `loadMinimalMetadata` finishes. ## Fix Extend `IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect` to also require `fieldMetadataItems` and `viewFields` to be `'up-to-date'` before opening the gate. Both are joined into the data the record-index page reads on first paint (`objectMetadataItemsWithFieldsSelector` reads fieldMetadataItems; `viewsSelector` reads viewFields), so the page can't render correctly without them. - **Warm cache** (all entities hydrated `up-to-date` from IndexedDB): unaffected — gate opens immediately. - **Cold cache and the first load post–IndexedDB-migration**: the gate stays closed until `loadStaleMetadataEntities` + `applyChanges` finish, then opens with full metadata. The page mounts once with a populated view; no race. ## Tests - [x] `nx typecheck twenty-front` clean (file change passes `oxlint` on the touched file). - [ ] Manual on twenty-main: cold reload + first navigation to a record-index page renders the table body without needing a second reload. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) https://claude.ai/code/session_01DD3469JAWYURa2sKUTJ85e --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01DD3469JAWYURa2sKUTJ85e)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21713?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> --------- Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(front): persist metadata store cache in IndexedDB instead of localStorage (#21586)
## Problem The metadata store cache (object/field metadata, views, page layouts, command menu items, …) is persisted client-side to power **cache-first boot**: the app renders instantly from the cache, then `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` revalidates per-collection hashes and only refetches what's stale. It was persisted to **localStorage**, which Safari/WebKit caps at **~5 MB per origin, counted in UTF-16 (2 bytes/char)** → an effective ceiling of ~2.5 M characters. Measured on the seeded demo workspace (33 objects, 612 fields): | Bucket | Safari quota (UTF-16) | |---|---| | `metadataStoreState__*` (26 keys) | **1.9 MB — 37%** | | Whole origin | **2.47 MB — 48%** | A workspace ~2.5× the demo's schema blows past 5 MB, and there is **no `QuotaExceededError` handling** — `setItem` throws and breaks the app. This is what large-workspace users on Safari have been hitting. ## Fix Move **only the metadata store** to **IndexedDB** (multi-GB, disk-based quota), keeping a **fully synchronous read path** so the ~24 consumers that read these atoms with `useAtomValue` never suspend. The auth/UI atoms (incl. the synchronously-read `tokenPair`) stay on localStorage — intentionally scoped. - **`createIndexedDbBackedJotaiStorage.ts`** — a synchronous Jotai storage facade backed by an in-memory map, hydrated once from IndexedDB at boot and written through on every set. IndexedDB access uses the **`idb-keyval`** library (by the IndexedDB spec co-author, ~0.6 KB) rather than a hand-rolled wrapper. Each cache gets its own database + BroadcastChannel (`twenty-front-<cacheName>`), so it's safely reusable. Swallowed errors are surfaced via `logError`. When IndexedDB is unavailable the cache stays in memory only (re-fetched each boot). - **`createAtomFamilyState`** — gains an optional `storage` param; `metadataStoreState` uses the IndexedDB-backed storage. - **`index.tsx`** — awaits hydration before mounting so atoms (`getOnInit: true`) read the persisted snapshot synchronously → cache-first boot preserved. - **No migration**: the facade does not touch localStorage at all. Pre-existing localStorage snapshots are ignored — on first boot of the new code the IndexedDB cache is empty and atoms re-fetch from the network (a one-time reconnect). Old `metadataStoreState__*` localStorage keys are left in place (cleared by the existing logout/reset cleanup); new writes only ever go to IndexedDB. - **Cross-tab sync**: the old localStorage atoms synced across tabs for free via `storage` events; the IndexedDB facade had no equivalent, so a schema change in one tab left others stale until reload. Restored by implementing the Jotai storage `subscribe` contract over a **`BroadcastChannel`** — writes broadcast to other tabs, which update their in-memory map and notify `atomWithStorage` subscribers so mounted atoms re-render live. (BroadcastChannel doesn't echo to the sender, so no feedback loop; guarded for environments without it.) ## Why a synchronous facade (not async `atomWithStorage`) Consumers use `useAtomValue` directly; an async storage would make the atoms resolve to Promises and **suspend** every reader. The in-memory facade keeps reads synchronous (zero ripple on consumers) and confines the async part to a single bulk read at boot, which the existing `MinimalMetadataGater` loader already covers. ## Tests ### Automated - Unit test (10 cases) for the storage facade: synchronous read/write, IndexedDB write-through, hydration from IndexedDB, `removeItem`/`clear`, per-cache DB namespacing, persist-failure logging, in-memory-only behaviour when IndexedDB is unavailable, distinguishing a stored `undefined` from a missing key, and cross-tab subscriber registration. - Existing metadata-store tests (`useIsLayoutCustomizationDirty`, `useDefaultHomePagePath`) still pass. - `nx typecheck twenty-front` and `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` clean. ### Manual (local seeded workspace, two tabs, Playwright) Storage: - After login the metadata cache lives in **IndexedDB (24 keys, ~945 KB)** and **localStorage drops 48% → 11%** of the Safari quota (the remainder is `currentUserState` + auth, out of scope). - Reload boots from the cache (no heavy refetch). Scenarios: | Scenario | Result | |---|---| | **Sign out** | auth cleared, redirect to sign-in, no leftover localStorage, no errors | | **Sign back in** | metadata `up-to-date`, company table renders, token restored | | **Add object** (`Gadget`) | write-through to IndexedDB; survives reload via cache-first hydration | | **Add view** (`QA Cross Tab View`, TABLE) | persisted to the `views` collection (`up-to-date`) | | **Two tabs open** | second tab boots cleanly from the shared IndexedDB — no lock/crash under concurrent access | | **Cross-tab live sync** | creating an object in tab A makes it appear in tab B's open settings object list **without a reload** | Verified by design (no regression): - Runtime sign-out (`clearSession`) clears session keys and does a full `window.location.assign` reload; the metadata-clearing path (`resetJotaiStore`) is test-only, so there's no async-`clear()`-vs-sign-in race. Metadata persisting across sign-out is unchanged from the old localStorage behavior (it's schema, revalidated by hash on next login). ## Notes / follow-ups (not in this PR) - **IndexedDB query capabilities** are not used yet: the cache stores one blob per collection (as it did in localStorage), so this is still a pure key-value use (`idb-keyval`). If we later want to query individual metadata records — e.g. fields by `objectMetadataId` via an index/cursor, or partial hydration — that means record-level storage and a richer wrapper (`idb` for a thin near-native layer, or **Dexie** for a full query API + reactive `liveQuery` that could also replace the BroadcastChannel sync). - IndexedDB still has a (large) quota and Safari ITP eviction applies to both stores — the cache-first design already tolerates eviction by revalidating. - Complementary "load less" wins remain: the denormalized per-field `relation` block (~700 chars/field of pure duplication) and persisting `currentUser.workspaceMembers` (the ~0.5 MB still in localStorage). <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21586?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

[Experiment] perf(front): cache-first currentUser bootstrap (#21532)
## Experiment — not for merge as-is A perf experiment for discussion. Opening as a draft to gather feedback and let CI run. ## Problem On a warm (returning) load, the app gate ([`MinimalMetadataGater`](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-front/src/modules/metadata-store/components/MinimalMetadataGater.tsx)) blocks first paint until **both** object/view metadata **and** `currentUser` are ready. The metadata store is already cache-first: it persists each entity (including `status: 'up-to-date'`) to `localStorage` with `getOnInit`, opens from cache, and revalidates in the background via collection hashes. 👏 `currentUser` (and `currentWorkspace` / `currentWorkspaceMember` / `currentUserWorkspace`) is **not** — it lives in an in-memory atom, so every load fires a blocking `GetCurrentUser` round-trip before the gate opens. That round-trip is the one remaining network hop on the warm-load critical path; everything else the first screen needs is already in `localStorage`. ## Approach Generalize the pattern the metadata store already proves out, to the user bootstrap — **without adding any new `useEffect`**: - Persist the four bootstrap atoms (`currentUser`, `currentWorkspace`, `currentWorkspaceMember`, `currentUserWorkspace`) via the existing `createAtomState({ useLocalStorage, localStorageOptions: { getOnInit: true } })`. - The gate opens from cache on its own: the existing `IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect` already derives readiness from the `currentUser` atom alongside metadata status, so persisting the atoms is enough — no new effect. - Keep firing `GetCurrentUser` (now `network-only`, no longer skipped when a user is present) so it **revalidates in the background** and the existing write-through effect updates the atoms with the fresh result. - Clear the cached identity on sign-out by adding the four keys to `clearSessionLocalStorageKeys` (already invoked by `clearSession`, which then hard-reloads). Net effect: warm loads no longer wait on `GetCurrentUser`; the shell paints from cache and corrects within one round-trip. Cold loads (no cache) are unchanged. ## Risks to validate - **Permission staleness** — `currentUserWorkspace` carries `objectsPermissions` / `permissionFlags`. Cache-first means a brief stale-permission window before revalidation. Not a security boundary (the server authorizes every request), but it can momentarily show a menu item the user no longer has; worst case it 401s and corrects on the next paint. - **Feature-flag / workspace staleness** — `currentWorkspace.featureFlags` may be one round-trip stale on warm load. - **`X-Schema-Version` header** — sourced from `currentWorkspace.metadataVersion`; caching it actually makes the header *consistent* with the already-cached metadata rather than absent, but worth confirming against the server's mismatch handling. - **Test isolation** — these atoms now persist; tests relying on the default `null` could see cross-test leakage if `localStorage` isn't reset. The directly-affected suites pass locally (`useAuth`, `useDefaultHomePagePath`, `useSetNextOnboardingStatus`); CI's full run is the real check. ## Validation - [ ] Full CI (types/lint/unit) green - [ ] Manual: throttle network, hard-reload a logged-in workspace, confirm the shell paints before `GetCurrentUser` resolves and that fresh data writes through - [ ] Sign out → sign in as a different user on the same browser; confirm no stale identity flashes |

fix(auth): exclude /authorize from MinimalMetadataGater loading gate (#20572)
## Summary Fixes the blank `/authorize` page reported when a user reopens the OAuth consent screen on `app.twenty.com` after a prior multi-workspace SSO sign-in. ### Reproduction 1. ChatGPT (or any MCP client) opens `https://app.twenty.com/authorize?client_id=…` while signed out. 2. User picks "Continue with Google", lands in workspace selection, picks a workspace, authorizes the app. Works. 3. Some time later, ChatGPT re-opens `https://app.twenty.com/authorize?client_id=…`. 4. **Observed:** fully blank page, no console errors. Deleting the `tokenPair` cookie unblocks it. ### Root cause The multi-workspace social-SSO branch ([auth.service.ts:988-1011](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-server/src/engine/core-modules/auth/services/auth.service.ts#L988-L1011)) lands the user on `app.twenty.com/welcome?tokenPair=…` with a workspace-agnostic token. `SignInUpGlobalScopeFormEffect` writes that into the host-scoped `tokenPair` cookie on `app.twenty.com`, and nothing clears it after the user proceeds to a workspace subdomain. On the next visit to `app.twenty.com/authorize?…`, `MinimalMetadataGater` sees `hasAccessTokenPair === true` and renders `<UserOrMetadataLoader />` instead of `<Authorize />`. The loader never goes away because: - `IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect` waits for `metadataStore.status === 'up-to-date'`. - `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` only loads metadata when `hasAccessTokenPair && isActiveWorkspace`, and the default domain has no workspace context. Skeleton loader stays forever → user perceives "blank page". Some users get rescued by `WorkspaceProviderEffect` auto-redirecting them to their last-authenticated workspace subdomain, but that cookie is set with `domain: .twenty.com` and silently fails to persist for users on custom domains — so the bug is most visible there. ### Fix `/authorize` only issues `findApplicationRegistrationByClientId`, which is a `PublicEndpointGuard` query. It doesn't need workspace metadata. Add it to the gater's excluded-paths list alongside the existing pre-auth pages (`SignInUp`, `Verify`, `Invite`, …) so the page renders immediately regardless of token state. This is a one-line, minimum-blast-radius fix. Two related cleanups are separate concerns and not addressed here: - Clearing the workspace-agnostic `tokenPair` cookie on `app.twenty.com` after workspace selection. - Fixing `lastAuthenticatedWorkspaceDomain` propagation for custom-domain users. ## Test plan - [x] `npx oxlint` + `prettier --check` on the touched file — clean. - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` — clean. - [ ] Manual: with a stale `tokenPair` cookie set on `app.twenty.com`, open `https://app.twenty.com/authorize?client_id=<valid>&…` — consent screen renders, no blank. - [ ] Manual: signed-out → open the same URL — still redirects to `/welcome` and back through the flow. - [ ] Manual: signed-in on a workspace subdomain → open `https://app.twenty.com/authorize?…` — `WorkspaceProviderEffect` auto-redirect still kicks in (unchanged behavior). |

chore(front): move mocked-metadata helpers under src/testing (#20341)
## Summary Follow-up to #20308. After that PR, production code no longer loads mocked metadata when the user is unauthenticated. The remaining mocked-metadata helpers (`useLoadMockedMetadata`, `preloadMockedMetadata`) are now only consumed by Storybook decorators, so move them next to the other testing-only utilities to make their scope explicit and prevent accidental re-introduction of a runtime dependency on mocks. - `src/modules/metadata-store/hooks/useLoadMockedMetadata.ts` → `src/testing/hooks/useLoadMockedMetadata.ts` - `src/modules/metadata-store/utils/preloadMockedMetadata.ts` → `src/testing/utils/preloadMockedMetadata.ts` The three Storybook decorator imports (`MockedMetadataLoadEffect`, `ObjectMetadataItemsDecorator`, `WorkflowStepDecorator`) are updated to the new `~/testing/...` paths. No runtime behavior change. ## Test plan - [x] `npx oxlint --type-aware -c .oxlintrc.json` on touched files — clean - [x] `npx prettier --check` on touched files — clean - [ ] CI: storybook, unit tests, e2e tests |

Replace sign-in mocked metadata with hardcoded BackgroundMock (#20308)
## Summary When the user is logged out, we render the auth modal on top of a sample table to make the empty page feel alive. So far this was achieved by **loading a full set of mocked object / field / view / navigation-menu metadata into the runtime metadata store** and then mounting the real `RecordTable` and `AppNavigationDrawer` behind the modal. This had a few downsides: - Significant bundle weight pulled in for unauthenticated users (mocked GraphQL fixtures + the real `RecordTable` virtualization stack). - Plenty of code paths that had to know about the "showAuthModal" case (`useRecordIndexTableQuery`, `useTriggerInitialRecordTableDataLoad`, `MainContextStoreProvider`, `IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect`...). - Any change to metadata-store internals or to the record-table runtime risked breaking the logged-out background. This PR replaces the entire flow with a small, self-contained `BackgroundMock` component tree that **does not consume any metadata** and **does not load any mocked metadata at runtime**. ### What changed - New module under `sign-in-background-mock`: - `BackgroundMockPage` + `BackgroundMockViewBar` + `BackgroundMockTable` + `BackgroundMockTableRow` render a hardcoded "Companies" table that visually mirrors the real one. - `BackgroundMockNavigationDrawer` renders a hardcoded sidebar with People / Companies / Opportunities / Tasks / Notes (with their standard colors). - Hardcoded constants in `BackgroundMockCompanies.ts`, `BackgroundMockColumns.ts`, `BackgroundMockNavigationItems.ts`. - `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` no longer calls `loadMockedMetadataAtomic` for unauthenticated users — it just doesn't load anything. - `IsMinimalMetadataReadyEffect` now reports ready immediately when there is no access token pair, so the skeleton loader doesn't hang waiting for metadata that will never come. - `MainContextStoreProvider`, `useRecordIndexTableQuery`, and `useTriggerInitialRecordTableDataLoad` drop their `showAuthModal` branches — the real `RecordTable` is no longer mounted behind the modal. - `DefaultLayout` and `NotFound` now lazily load `BackgroundMockPage` / `BackgroundMockNavigationDrawer` instead of the deleted `SignInBackgroundMockPage` / `SignInAppNavigationDrawerMock`. - Removed: `SignInBackgroundMockPage`, `SignInBackgroundMockContainer`, `SignInBackgroundMockContainerEffect`, `SignInAppNavigationDrawerMock`, `SignInBackgroundMockColumnDefinitions`, `SignInBackgroundMockCompanies`, `SignInBackgroundMockViewFields`. `useLoadMockedMetadata` and `preloadMockedMetadata` are kept on purpose: Storybook decorators (`ObjectMetadataItemsDecorator`, `WorkflowStepDecorator`) still rely on the mocked metadata fixtures, but **production** unauthenticated runtime no longer touches them. ### Visual parity Side-by-side at 1440×900 on `/sign-in`: **Before** (loads mocked metadata + real RecordTable): **After** (purely hardcoded BackgroundMock): ## Test plan - [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` ✅ (passes locally) - [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` ✅ (oxlint + prettier clean) - [ ] `npx jest useRecordIndexTableQuery` ✅ - [ ] Manually verify `/sign-in` renders the table + nav drawer behind the modal - [ ] Manually verify `/not-found` still renders the background - [ ] Verify CI: storybook, unit tests, e2e tests |

feat: queue messages + replace AI SDK with GraphQL SSE subscription (#19203)
## Summary - **Queue messages while streaming**: Messages sent during active AI streaming are queued server-side and auto-flushed when the current stream completes. Frontend renders queued messages optimistically in a dedicated queue UI. - **Drop `@ai-sdk/react` + `resumable-stream`**: Replace the dual HTTP SSE + AI SDK client architecture with a single GraphQL SSE subscription per thread. All events (token chunks, message persistence, queue updates, errors) flow through Redis PubSub → GraphQL subscription. - **Server-driven architecture**: The server decides whether to queue or stream (via `POST /:threadId/message`). The frontend mirrors this decision for optimistic rendering but defers to the server response. - **Reuse AI SDK accumulation logic**: `readUIMessageStream` from the `ai` package handles chunk-to-message accumulation on the frontend, avoiding a custom 780-line accumulator. ## Key files **Backend:** - `agent-chat-event-publisher.service.ts` — publishes events to Redis PubSub - `agent-chat-subscription.resolver.ts` — GraphQL subscription resolver - `stream-agent-chat.job.ts` — publishes chunks via PubSub instead of resumable-stream - `agent-chat.controller.ts` — unified `POST /:threadId/message` endpoint **Frontend:** - `useAgentChatSubscription.ts` — subscribes to `onAgentChatEvent`, bridges to `readUIMessageStream` - `useAgentChat.ts` — send/stop/optimistic rendering (no more AI SDK) - `AgentChatStreamSubscriptionEffect.tsx` — replaces `AgentChatAiSdkStreamEffect.tsx` ## Test plan - [ ] Send message on new thread → optimistic render, streaming response appears - [ ] Send message while streaming → queued instantly (no flash in main thread) - [ ] Queued message auto-flushes after current stream completes - [ ] Remove queued message via queue UI - [ ] Stop streaming mid-response - [ ] Leave chat idle for several minutes → streaming still works after (SSE client recycling) - [ ] Token refresh during session → requests succeed (authenticated fetch) - [ ] Switch threads while streaming → clean subscription handoff Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix: metadata store lifecycle during sign-in, sign-out, and locale change (#18901)
## Summary Fixes metadata lifecycle bugs during sign-in, sign-out, and locale change: - **Cross-tab sign-out**: Broadcasts sign-out via `BroadcastChannel` so other tabs clear their session gracefully instead of hitting stale-token errors - **SSE teardown on sign-out**: Handles `UNAUTHENTICATED`/`FORBIDDEN` errors in the SSE event stream effect instead of throwing unhandled errors - **Locale switch resilience**: `invalidateAndReload` now invalidates collection hashes instead of clearing the store to empty, so components never see 0 metadata items during the reload transition - **Sign-in background mock**: Uses non-throwing `objectMetadataItemFamilySelector` instead of hooks that throw on missing metadata - **View name placeholders**: Guards against `undefined` `viewName` during metadata transitions (the minimal metadata query doesn't include `name`) - **Session cleanup**: Selective `localStorage` clearing (`clearSessionLocalStorageKeys`) preserves metadata keys; `clearAllSessionLocalStorageKeys` for full clears - **Metadata reload API**: New `useMetadataStoreActions` hook as the high-level API for metadata lifecycle operations (`applyMockedMetadata`, `invalidateAndReload`, `loadMockedMetadataAtomic`) ## Test plan - [ ] Sign out on Tab A → Tab A shows sign-in page with no console errors - [ ] Tab B (logged in) receives cross-tab broadcast and redirects to sign-in - [ ] No "Forbidden resource" SSE errors in console during sign-out - [ ] Change language in Settings > Experience → no crash, metadata refreshes in background - [ ] Sign back in after sign-out → metadata loads correctly, app is functional - [ ] Re-sign-in after locale change → correct locale is preserved |

## Summary - Renames `ObjectMetadataItem` to `EnrichedObjectMetadataItem` across the entire frontend (~440 files) to clarify that this type includes derived fields (`readableFields`, `updatableFields`, nested `fields[]`, `indexMetadatas[]`) computed at read time from the metadata store - Creates `splitObjectMetadataGqlResponse` that goes directly from a GraphQL `ObjectMetadataItemsQuery` response to flat store items (combining the old `mapPaginatedObjectMetadataItemsToObjectMetadataItems` + `splitObjectMetadataItemWithRelated` two-step flow into one call) - Removes `ObjectMetadataItemWithRelated` type and all "WithRelated" naming - Renames `generatedMockObjectMetadataItems` to `generateTestEnrichedObjectMetadataItemsMock` to make it clear this is test-only enriched data - Deletes `useLoadMockedObjectMetadataItems` hook (consolidated into `useLoadMockedMinimalMetadata`) - Ensures nothing destined for the metadata store computes `readableFields`/`updatableFields` (preventing the localStorage bloat from #18809) ## Type hierarchy (before → after) **Before:** ``` ObjectMetadataItemsQuery → mapPaginated → ObjectMetadataItemWithRelated → enrich → ObjectMetadataItem → split → FlatObjectMetadataItem (store) ``` **After:** ``` ObjectMetadataItemsQuery → splitObjectMetadataGqlResponse → FlatObjectMetadataItem (store) → mapPaginated + enrich (tests only) → EnrichedObjectMetadataItem ``` ## Test plan - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` passes - [x] `npx nx test twenty-front` passes (767 suites, 4505 tests) - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-front` passes - [ ] CI checks pass Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

fix: prevent localStorage bloat from derived fields on mock metadata (#18809)
## Summary - On unauthenticated pages (login), mocked object metadata was being hydrated into the store with `readableFields` and `updatableFields` attached. These derived arrays duplicate every field per object, inflating `objectMetadataItems` in localStorage from ~70 KB to ~2 MB. Combined with other metadata keys, this exceeded Safari's 5 MB quota and caused `QuotaExceededError`, preventing real data from replacing mock data on login. - Extracted flat mock data into a dedicated file (`generatedMockObjectMetadataItemsWithRelated.ts`) and use it for store hydration, keeping the enriched version (`generatedMockObjectMetadataItems`) only for tests. - Completed `splitObjectMetadataItemWithRelated`'s contract by stripping `readableFields` and `updatableFields` at runtime (not just via TypeScript's `Omit`), matching the `FlatObjectMetadataItem` return type that omits all four relational properties. ## Root cause 1. `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` loads mocked metadata on unauthenticated pages. 2. `generatedMockObjectMetadataItems` was produced by `enrichObjectMetadataItemsWithPermissions`, which attaches `readableFields` and `updatableFields` (full copies of the `fields` array). 3. `splitObjectMetadataItemWithRelated` only destructured `fields` and `indexMetadatas` — `readableFields`/`updatableFields` leaked into `...objectProperties` at runtime because `Omit` is a compile-time-only guard. 4. These bloated objects were written to localStorage, consuming ~2 MB instead of ~70 KB. 5. On login, the intermediate state (old composite mock `current` + new flat real `draft`) exceeded the 5 MB quota, causing a `QuotaExceededError` deadlock. ## Test plan - [ ] Open the app in a fresh Safari private window (empty localStorage) - [ ] Verify the login page loads without errors - [ ] Log in and verify metadata loads correctly - [ ] Check `localStorage` size — `metadataStoreState__objectMetadataItems` should be ~70 KB, not ~2 MB - [ ] Run existing tests: `npx nx test twenty-front` — no regressions from the mock data split Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) --------- Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> |

fix: restore ViewFilter value stringification lost in converter removal (#18745)
## Summary - **Restores `convertViewFilterValueToString()` calls** that were lost when the converter layer was removed in #18667. The GraphQL `ViewFilter.value` is typed as `JSON` (can be a string, array, or object), but the frontend type system expects a `string`. Without stringification, SELECT/MULTI_SELECT filter values (e.g. `['LOST']`) reach `arrayOfStringsOrVariablesSchema` as raw arrays, causing a `ZodError: expected string, received array`. - **Fixes applied at two data boundary points**: `splitViewWithRelated` (primary entry from metadata store) and `mapViewFiltersToFilters` (which also accepts `GqlViewFilter[]` directly). Fixes a production regression introduced by #18667. ## Test plan - [ ] Apply a SELECT filter (e.g. filter Opportunities by Stage = "Lost") — should no longer throw ZodError - [ ] Apply a MULTI_SELECT filter — should work correctly - [ ] Verify filters with multiple selected values work (e.g. Stage is "Lost" or "Won") - [ ] Verify empty filters and "is not" operands still work - [ ] Verify filters loaded from saved views still work after page refresh Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

fix: navigation menu item type backfill and frontend loading (#18730)
## Summary - Move `BackfillNavigationMenuItemTypeCommand` from the 1-19 to the 1-20 upgrade path and split the DB transaction into two phases (data backfill, then schema changes) to avoid the PostgreSQL error "cannot ALTER TABLE because it has pending trigger events." - Fix backfill logic to prefer `OBJECT` over `VIEW` for navigation menu items that have `targetObjectMetadataId`, and correct already mis-typed items. Tighten the `CHECK` constraint to enforce `viewId IS NULL` for `OBJECT` type items. - On the frontend, force `navigationMenuItems` into `staleEntityKeys` when the server's `minimalMetadata` response omits the collection hash (happens when the Redis cache hasn't been warmed after an upgrade), ensuring the sidebar loads navigation items. ## Test plan - [ ] Upgrade from 1.18 or 1.19 to 1.20 and verify the migration completes without errors - [ ] Verify navigation menu items of type `OBJECT` do not have a `viewId` set in the database - [ ] Sign out and sign in — confirm navigation menu items appear in the sidebar on first load - [ ] Verify `VIEW`-typed items also appear correctly in the sidebar Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

refactor: remove "core" naming from views and eliminate converter layer (#18667)
## Summary
- **Remove all "core" prefixes** from the views system — the
metadata-based storage migration is complete, so `CoreView`,
`coreViewsSelector`, `getCoreViews`, etc. are now just `View`,
`viewsSelector`, `getViews`
- **Eliminate the entire converter layer** (15 files, ~850 lines
deleted) — `convertCoreViewToView` and all sub-converters were either
no-ops or trivially adding `__typename` / mapping identical enum values.
Local enums now re-export from generated GraphQL types directly (single
source of truth)
- **Unify `View` and `ViewWithRelations`** into one type —
`ViewWithRelations` is now a type alias for `View`, selectors return
data directly without conversion
### Backend
- Rename `@ObjectType('CoreView')` → `@ObjectType('View')` (and all
sub-entities)
- Rename resolver methods: `getCoreViews` → `getViews`, `createCoreView`
→ `createView`, etc.
- Rename `FIND_ALL_CORE_VIEWS_GRAPHQL_OPERATION` →
`FIND_ALL_VIEWS_GRAPHQL_OPERATION`
### Frontend
- Delete 15 converter files (`convertGqlView*ToView*`,
`convertView*ToGql`, `convertViewWithRelationsToView`)
- Re-export `ViewType`, `ViewKey`, `ViewFilterGroupLogicalOperator` from
generated enums (no more duplicate enum definitions with different
casing)
- Replace `ViewOpenRecordInType` with `ViewOpenRecordIn` from generated
- Remove `__typename` from all local view sub-types
- Remove unused `variant` from `ViewFilter`, make `displayValue` and
`definition` optional
- Rename ~45 GraphQL query/mutation files and all selectors to drop
"core" prefix
- Delete unused `viewsWithRelationsSelector`

refactor: metadata store cleanup, SSE unification, mock metadata loading & login redirect fix (#18651)
## Summary - **SSE unification**: Replaced 11 individual SSE effect components with a single generic `MetadataStoreSSEEffect` - **Metadata store cleanup**: Merged `metadataCollectionHashesState` into `metadataStoreState` (currentCollectionHash / draftCollectionHash per entity), moved `objectMetadataItemsSelector` to `object-metadata` domain, converted `navigationMenuItemsState` to a derived selector - **Naming clarity**: Renamed `isAppMetadataReadyState` → `isMinimalMetadataReadyState`, `MetadataGater` → `MinimalMetadataGater`, `useIsLogged` → `useHasAccessTokenPair`, `patchMetadataStoreFromSSEEvent` now takes named object params - **Mock metadata loading**: Added `generate-navigation-menu-items.ts` script, rewrote `useLoadMockedMinimalMetadata` to load full objects/fields/indexes/views/navItems from generated mock data, enabling proper sign-in background rendering (table columns, view picker, navigation) - **Login/logout transitions**: `MinimalMetadataLoadEffect` manages mocked↔real metadata transitions based on auth state, `MainContextStoreProvider` computes context on auth pages for view picker support - **Login redirect fix**: `handleLoadWorkspaceAfterAuthentication` now re-enables `isAppEffectRedirectEnabled` after `loadCurrentUser()` completes, fixing the blocked post-login navigation - **Dead code removal**: Deleted `useRefreshPageLayouts`, `useApplyPageLayouts`, `useStaleMetadataEntities`, `metadataCollectionHashesState`, and all individual SSE effects ## Test plan - [x] Login from welcome page redirects to companies page - [x] Logout transitions cleanly to mocked metadata on welcome page - [x] Sign-in background shows table columns, view picker, and navigation items - [x] SSE events still update metadata store entries correctly - [x] Navigation menu items persist across page refreshes - [ ] CI: lint, typecheck, tests pass |

feat: hash-based metadata staleness detection (#18649)
## Summary Replace the single `metadataVersion` integer with per-entity-type **collection hashes** for granular metadata staleness detection. The backend already generates a UUID per flat entity map on each cache recompute (`crypto.randomUUID()` in `WorkspaceCacheService`); we now expose these via the minimal metadata endpoint and SSE events so the frontend can compare and know exactly which entity types are stale. ### Key changes **Backend:** - `WorkspaceCacheService.getCacheHashes()` — new public method that reads only `:hash` keys from Redis without fetching full data - `MinimalMetadataDTO` — added `collectionHashes: Record<string, string>` (JSON scalar mapping `AllMetadataName` → collection hash), removed `metadataVersion` - `MetadataEventDTO` — added optional `updatedCollectionHash` field to SSE events - `MetadataEventsToDbListener` — reads the collection hash for the affected entity type after cache invalidation and attaches it to the SSE event before publishing - `MinimalMetadataService` — no longer queries the workspace table; uses `getCacheHashes()` for all flat entity maps and maps cache keys to `AllMetadataName` locally **Frontend:** - `metadataCollectionHashesState` — new Jotai atom with `atomWithStorage` + `getOnInit: true` storing `Partial<Record<MetadataEntityKey, string>>` - `mapAllMetadataNameToEntityKey()` — explicit mapping from backend `AllMetadataName` to frontend `MetadataEntityKey` (23 entries) - `useLoadMinimalMetadata` — stores `collectionHashes` from server, computes `staleEntityKeys` by comparing local vs server hashes - `patchMetadataStoreFromSSEEvent()` — accepts optional `updatedCollectionHash` and updates `metadataCollectionHashesState` - All 11 SSE effect components — pass `eventDetail.updatedCollectionHash` through to the patch function - `useStaleMetadataEntities` — new hook returning entity keys missing from collection hashes (not yet loaded/synced) - `resetMetadataStore()` — also clears collection hashes - Deleted `metadataVersionState` (superseded by collection hashes) ### Design decisions - **No change to hash generation** — existing `crypto.randomUUID()` is sufficient. Hashes are persisted in Redis, survive server restarts, and change only on `invalidateAndRecompute`. - **"Collection hash" naming** — used consistently to clarify the hash represents an entire entity collection (e.g., all views), not a single record. - **Mapping localized** — backend `WorkspaceCacheKeyName` → `AllMetadataName` mapping lives in the minimal metadata service. Frontend `AllMetadataName` → `MetadataEntityKey` mapping lives in a local utility. Nothing in `twenty-shared`. - **Backward compatible** — `collectionHashes` is additive; `updatedCollectionHash` is nullable. |

feat: uniformize metadata store with flat types, SSE alignment, presentation endpoint & localStorage (#18647)
## Summary
Uniformizes the metadata store to support **all** backend flat metadata
types, introduces a **minimal metadata endpoint** for fast initial
renders, replaces custom localStorage persistence with **Jotai's
built-in `atomWithStorage`**, and wires up a
**MinimalMetadataLoadEffect** for stale-while-revalidate loading.
### Key changes
- **All flat metadata types**: Added `FlatCommandMenuItem`,
`FlatFrontComponent`, `FlatWebhook`, `FlatRole`, `FlatRoleTarget`,
`FlatAgent`, `FlatSkill`, `FlatRowLevelPermissionPredicate`,
`FlatRowLevelPermissionPredicateGroup` — every entity in the backend
`MetadataEntityTypeMap` now has a corresponding frontend flat type
registered in `ALL_METADATA_ENTITY_KEYS` and `MetadataEntityTypeMap`.
- **Minimal metadata endpoint** (`minimalMetadata` GraphQL query): New
backend module (`MinimalMetadataModule`) returns lightweight object
metadata (names, icons, labels, flags) and basic views (id, type, key,
objectMetadataId) plus a `metadataVersion`. This enables fast first
paint before full metadata loads.
- **Jotai `atomWithStorage` for persistence**: Replaced the custom
`MetadataLocalStorageEffect` with Jotai's built-in `atomWithStorage` on
both `metadataStoreState` (family) and `metadataVersionState`. Added
`localStorageOptions` support to `createAtomFamilyState` for `{
getOnInit: true }` synchronous hydration. Each entity atom auto-persists
under keys like `metadataStoreState__objectMetadataItems`.
- **MinimalMetadataLoadEffect**: New effect mounted before
`MetadataProviderInitialEffects` that checks if the store already has
data (from Jotai localStorage hydration). If empty, it fetches minimal
metadata from the new endpoint. The full metadata load continues in
parallel, eventually enriching the store with complete data.
- **SSE effects alignment**: All metadata entity types now have
corresponding SSE effects that directly patch the metadata store via
`patchMetadataStoreFromSSEEvent`.
- **Existing selectors and joining logic**:
`objectMetadataItemsWithFieldsSelector`, `viewsWithRelationsSelector`,
`pageLayoutsWithRelationsSelector` reconstruct nested data from flat
entities for components that need it.
### Loading flow
```
App mount
→ Jotai atomWithStorage hydrates store from localStorage (sync, getOnInit)
→ MinimalMetadataLoadEffect
→ Store has data? → skip (app renders immediately)
→ Store empty? → fetch minimalMetadata endpoint → populate objects + views
→ MetadataProviderInitialEffects (full metadata load, runs in parallel)
→ LazyMetadataLoadEffect (page layouts, logic functions, nav menu, etc.)
→ IsAppMetadataReadyEffect (sets isAppMetadataReady)
```
## Test plan
- [ ] Verify app loads with empty localStorage (should fetch minimal
metadata, then full)
- [ ] Verify app loads with populated localStorage (should skip minimal
fetch, render immediately)
- [ ] Verify SSE events correctly update metadata store for all entity
types
- [ ] Verify logout clears metadata store (atom reset propagates to
localStorage)
- [ ] Verify all metadata selectors return correct joined data
- [ ] CI: lint, typecheck, tests pass

feat: migrate objectMetadata reads to granular metadata store (#18643)
## Summary
Consolidates `objectMetadataItems` onto the metadata store as the
**single source of truth**, replacing the previous dual-store approach
(separate `objectMetadataItemsState` atom + untyped
`metadataStoreState`).
### Architecture: three-layer design
```
┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Store Layer (granular, typed) │
│ objectMetadataItems → FlatObjectMetadataItem[] │
│ fieldMetadataItems → FlatFieldMetadataItem[] │
│ indexMetadataItems → FlatIndexMetadataItem[] │
└────────────────┬────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ .current (never draft)
┌────────────────▼────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Selectors (typed read-only) │
│ objectMetadataItemsSelector │
│ fieldMetadataItemsSelector │
│ indexMetadataItemsSelector │
│ metadataStoreStatusFamilySelector │
│ isSystemObjectByNameSingularFamilySelector (narrow) │
│ activeObjectNameSingularsSelector (narrow) │
└────────────────┬────────────────────────────────────────┘
│ joins objects + fields + indexes + permissions
┌────────────────▼────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Joining Selector │
│ objectMetadataItemsWithFieldsSelector │
│ → produces full ObjectMetadataItem[] with │
│ readableFields / updatableFields from permissions │
│ → 12 existing selectors repointed here │
└─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
```
### Key changes
- **Granular flat types** (`FlatObjectMetadataItem`,
`FlatFieldMetadataItem`, `FlatIndexMetadataItem`) — objects stored
without embedded fields/indexes, matching backend "Flat" naming
convention
- **Typed write API** — `updateDraft` is now generic via
`MetadataEntityTypeMap`, giving compile-time safety on what data shape
goes to each key
- **Write path refactored** — fetch → split into flat entities via
`splitObjectMetadataItemWithRelated` → write to metadata store directly.
No more dual-write through `objectMetadataItemsState`. Permissions
enrichment moved from write path into the joining selector.
- **SSE effects write directly** — `ObjectMetadataItemSSEEffect` and
`FieldMetadataSSEEffect` now patch the store from the SSE event payload
(create/update/delete) instead of triggering a full re-fetch
- **`objectMetadataItemsState` bridge** — converted from writable
`createAtomState` to read-only `createAtomSelector` that delegates to
the joining selector. All 100+ existing consumers continue to work
without code changes.
- **All selectors use Twenty state API** — `createAtomSelector` /
`createAtomFamilySelector` throughout, no raw `atom()`
- **Narrow selectors** for hot paths —
`isSystemObjectByNameSingularFamilySelector` and
`activeObjectNameSingularsSelector` read from flat objects only,
avoiding re-renders when fields/indexes/permissions change. Placed in
`object-metadata/states/` as higher-level business selectors.
- **Test helper** — `setTestObjectMetadataItemsInMetadataStore` for
tests that need to set up composite object metadata through the store
(clearly named as a testing utility)
### Naming conventions
- `ObjectMetadataItemWithRelated` — type for objects with embedded
fields/indexes (input to split utility)
- `FlatObjectMetadataItem` / `FlatFieldMetadataItem` /
`FlatIndexMetadataItem` — granular store types
- Selector names don't expose "Current" — that's an internal detail of
the metadata store API
### Future work
- Optimistic update API (`updateCurrentOptimistically` with rollback)
- Migrate remaining entities (views, pageLayouts, etc.) to the same
pattern
- Gradually remove `objectMetadataItemsState` bridge once all direct
imports are replaced
## Test plan
- [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` passes
- [x] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` passes
- [ ] Verify app loads correctly with metadata from the store
- [ ] Verify SSE updates (object/field changes) propagate correctly
- [ ] Run existing test suites to confirm no regressions

feat: deprecate WorkspaceFavorite in favor of NavigationMenuItem (#18624)
## Summary - **Removes the entire `modules/favorites/` directory** (~66 files, ~5000 lines deleted) — components, hooks, states, types, utils, tests, and the favorite-folder-picker sub-module - **Eliminates the dual-write pattern** where creating a favorite also created a NavigationMenuItem — all consumers now use `useCreateNavigationMenuItem` directly - **Removes `IS_NAVIGATION_MENU_ITEM_EDITING_ENABLED` feature flag checks** from ~12 files, always taking the NavigationMenuItem code path - **Cleans up backend dual-writes** in `object-metadata.service.ts` and `twenty-standard-application.service.ts` that were creating Favorite records alongside NavigationMenuItems - **Updates prefetch system** to only load NavigationMenuItems (removes favorites prefetch effects and states) - **Cleans up test infrastructure** — updates Storybook decorators, mock data, and graphql mocks to remove favorites references ### What was intentionally kept - **Backend entity definitions** (`FavoriteWorkspaceEntity`, `FavoriteFolderWorkspaceEntity`) — these define the database schema and need a proper database migration to remove - **Cascade deletion listeners** — still needed to clean up existing Favorite data in workspaces that haven't been fully migrated - **v1.18 migration commands** — needed for workspaces upgrading from older versions --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

Rework atom naming (#18240)
## Summary - **Enhanced the `matching-state-variable` ESLint rule** to enforce consistent naming for `ComponentState`, `FamilyState`, and `ComponentFamilyState` hooks — previously it only covered `useAtomState` and `useAtomStateValue` - **The rule now checks 12 hooks** across three categories: value hooks (`useAtomComponentStateValue`, `useAtomFamilyStateValue`, etc.), state hooks (`useAtomComponentState`, `useAtomComponentFamilyState`), and setter hooks (`useSetAtomState`, `useSetAtomComponentState`, `useSetAtomFamilyState`, `useSetAtomComponentFamilyState`) - **Fixed all 225 resulting lint violations** across 151 files, renaming variables to match their state atom names (e.g. `currentViewId` → `contextStoreCurrentViewId`, `selectedRecord` → `recordStore`). Cases where the same state is accessed with different family keys/instance IDs are suppressed with `eslint-disable-next-line`. ## Naming convention | Hook | State argument | Valid | Invalid | |------|---------------|-------|---------| | `useAtomStateValue` | `fooState` | `const foo = ...` | `const bar = ...` | | `useAtomComponentStateValue` | `fooComponentState` | `const foo = ...` | `const bar = ...` | | `useAtomFamilyStateValue` | `fooFamilyState` | `const foo = ...` | `const bar = ...` | | `useAtomComponentFamilyStateValue` | `fooComponentFamilyState` | `const foo = ...` | `const bar = ...` | | `useAtomState` | `fooState` | `const [foo, setFoo] = ...` | `const [bar, setBar] = ...` | | `useAtomComponentState` | `fooComponentState` | `const [foo, setFoo] = ...` | `const [bar, setBar] = ...` | | `useAtomComponentFamilyState` | `fooComponentFamilyState` | `const [foo, setFoo] = ...` | `const [bar, setBar] = ...` | | `useSetAtomState` | `fooState` | `const setFoo = ...` | `const setBar = ...` | | `useSetAtomComponentState` | `fooComponentState` | `const setFoo = ...` | `const setBar = ...` | | `useSetAtomFamilyState` | `fooFamilyState` | `const setFoo = ...` | `const setBar = ...` | | `useSetAtomComponentFamilyState` | `fooComponentFamilyState` | `const setFoo = ...` | `const setBar = ...` | |

Rename Jotai state hooks and utilities to consistent Atom-based naming (#18209)
## Summary Rename all Jotai-based state management hooks and utilities to a consistent naming convention that: 1. Removes legacy Recoil naming (`useRecoilXxxV2`, `createXxxV2`) 2. Always includes `Atom` in the name to distinguish from jotai native hooks 3. Follows a consistent ordering: `Atom` → `Component` → `Family` → `Type` (`State`/`Selector`) 4. Includes the type qualifier (`State` or `Selector`) in all value-reading hooks to avoid naming conflicts with jotai's native `useAtomValue` ## Naming Convention **Hooks**: `use[Set]Atom[Component][Family][State|Selector][Value|State|CallbackState]` **Utils**: `createAtom[Component][Family][State|Selector]` ## Changes ### Hooks renamed (definition files + all usages across ~1,500 files): | Old Name (Recoil) | Intermediate (Atom) | Final Name | |---|---|---| | `useRecoilValueV2` | `useAtomValue` | **`useAtomStateValue`** | | `useRecoilStateV2` | `useAtomState` | `useAtomState` | | `useSetRecoilStateV2` | `useSetAtomState` | `useSetAtomState` | | `useFamilyRecoilValueV2` | `useFamilyAtomValue` | **`useAtomFamilyStateValue`** | | `useSetFamilyRecoilStateV2` | `useSetFamilyAtomState` | **`useSetAtomFamilyState`** | | `useFamilySelectorValueV2` | `useFamilySelectorValue` | **`useAtomFamilySelectorValue`** | | `useFamilySelectorStateV2` | `useFamilySelectorState` | **`useAtomFamilySelectorState`** | | `useRecoilComponentValueV2` | `useAtomComponentValue` | **`useAtomComponentStateValue`** | | `useRecoilComponentStateV2` | `useAtomComponentState` | `useAtomComponentState` | | `useSetRecoilComponentStateV2` | `useSetAtomComponentState` | `useSetAtomComponentState` | | `useRecoilComponentFamilyValueV2` | `useAtomComponentFamilyValue` | **`useAtomComponentFamilyStateValue`** | | `useRecoilComponentFamilyStateV2` | `useAtomComponentFamilyState` | `useAtomComponentFamilyState` | | `useSetRecoilComponentFamilyStateV2` | `useSetAtomComponentFamilyState` | `useSetAtomComponentFamilyState` | | `useRecoilComponentSelectorValueV2` | `useAtomComponentSelectorValue` | `useAtomComponentSelectorValue` | | `useRecoilComponentFamilySelectorValueV2` | `useAtomComponentFamilySelectorValue` | `useAtomComponentFamilySelectorValue` | | `useRecoilComponentStateCallbackStateV2` | `useAtomComponentStateCallbackState` | `useAtomComponentStateCallbackState` | | `useRecoilComponentSelectorCallbackStateV2` | `useAtomComponentSelectorCallbackState` | `useAtomComponentSelectorCallbackState` | | `useRecoilComponentFamilyStateCallbackStateV2` | `useAtomComponentFamilyStateCallbackState` | `useAtomComponentFamilyStateCallbackState` | | `useRecoilComponentFamilySelectorCallbackStateV2` | `useAtomComponentFamilySelectorCallbackState` | `useAtomComponentFamilySelectorCallbackState` | ### Utilities renamed: | Old Name (Recoil) | Final Name | |---|---| | `createStateV2` | **`createAtomState`** | | `createFamilyStateV2` | **`createAtomFamilyState`** | | `createSelectorV2` | **`createAtomSelector`** | | `createFamilySelectorV2` | **`createAtomFamilySelector`** | | `createWritableSelectorV2` | **`createAtomWritableSelector`** | | `createWritableFamilySelectorV2` | **`createAtomWritableFamilySelector`** | | `createComponentStateV2` | **`createAtomComponentState`** | | `createComponentFamilyStateV2` | **`createAtomComponentFamilyState`** | | `createComponentSelectorV2` | **`createAtomComponentSelector`** | | `createComponentFamilySelectorV2` | **`createAtomComponentFamilySelector`** | ## Details - All definition files renamed to match new convention - All import paths and usages updated across the entire `twenty-front` package - Jotai's native `useAtomValue` is aliased as `useJotaiAtomValue` in the wrapper hook to avoid collision - Legacy Recoil files in `state/utils/` and `component-state/utils/` left untouched (separate naming scope) - Typecheck passes cleanly |

Jotai 13 (#18178)
## Recoil to Jotai Migration — PR 13: Workflow, Page Layout, AI, Activities, Settings, SSE & Remaining Modules ### Summary This is the 13th PR in the [14-PR migration series](packages/twenty-front/src/modules/ui/utilities/state/jotai/MIGRATION_PLAN.md) to replace Recoil with Jotai as the state management library in `twenty-front`. This PR migrates the remaining consumer code across all modules — updating ~1,076 files with ~10k insertions/deletions. ### What changed **New Jotai infrastructure (13 new files):** - `createComponentSelectorV2` and `createComponentFamilySelectorV2` — instance-scoped derived atoms, replacing Recoil's component selectors - 6 new hooks: `useRecoilComponentSelectorValueV2`, `useRecoilComponentFamilySelectorValueV2`, `useRecoilComponentSelectorCallbackStateV2`, `useRecoilComponentFamilySelectorCallbackStateV2`, `useRecoilComponentStateCallbackStateV2`, `useRecoilComponentFamilyStateCallbackStateV2` - New types: `ComponentSelectorV2`, `ComponentFamilySelectorV2`, `SelectorCallbacksV2` - Extended `buildGetHelper` to support the new selector patterns **State definition migrations:** - `createState()` → `createStateV2()` (Jotai `atom()`) - `createFamilyState()` → `createFamilyStateV2()` (Jotai `atom()` with family cache) - Recoil `selector`/`selectorFamily` → Jotai derived `atom()` via V2 utilities **Hook migrations (~2,400 removed, ~1,545 added V2 equivalents):** - `useRecoilValue` → `useRecoilValueV2` - `useRecoilState` → `useRecoilStateV2` - `useSetRecoilState` → `useSetRecoilStateV2` - `useRecoilCallback` → `useCallback` + `jotaiStore.get/set` - `useRecoilComponentValue` → `useRecoilComponentValueV2` - `useSetRecoilComponentState` → `useSetRecoilComponentStateV2` - `useRecoilComponentFamilyValue` → `useRecoilComponentFamilyValueV2` / `useFamilySelectorValueV2` - ~397 direct `import from 'recoil'` removed **Deleted files (9 files):** - `dateLocaleState.ts` — consolidated - `currentAIChatThreadTitleStateV2.ts` — renamed to replace the original - `isCommandMenuOpenedState.ts` — removed - `filesFieldUploadState.ts` — replaced by V2 - `recordStoreFamilySelector.ts`, `recordStoreFieldValueSelector.ts`, `recordStoreRecordsSelector.ts` — replaced by V2 equivalents - `settingsAllRolesSelector.ts` — replaced by `useSettingsAllRoles` hook - `settingsRoleIdsStateV2.ts` — consolidated **Modules migrated:** - Workflow (diagram, steps, variables, filters) - Page Layout (widgets, fields, graph, tabs) - AI (chat, agents, browsing context) - Activities (rich text editor, targets, timeline) - Action Menu (single/multiple record actions) - Command Menu (navigation, history, pages, workflow) - Context Store - Record Board, Record Table, Record Calendar, Record Index - Record Field, Record Filter, Record Sort, Record Group - Record Drag, Record Picker, Record Store - Views (view bar, view picker, filters, sorts) - Settings (roles, permissions, SSO, security, data model, developers, domains) - SSE (event streams, subscriptions) - Spreadsheet Import - Auth, Favorites, Front Components, Information Banner |

feat: add two-layer AI model availability filtering (#18170)
## Summary - **Admin-level filtering**: New AI tab in admin panel with server-wide model availability controls (whitelist/blacklist via `AI_AUTO_ENABLE_NEW_MODELS`, `AI_DISABLED_MODEL_IDS`, `AI_ENABLED_MODEL_IDS` config variables). Dedicated `setAdminAiModelEnabled` mutation replaces frontend config-variable manipulation. Filter dropdown to show/hide unconfigured and deprecated models. - **Workspace-level filtering**: Per-workspace controls with "Use best models only" mode (curated list backed by `isRecommended` flag), or custom whitelist/blacklist. Separate Smart/Fast model selectors with "Best (...)" virtual options. - **Security enforcement**: Both layers enforced at every backend execution point — workspace update, agent create/update, chat execution. Model ID validated against known models before config mutation. All admin endpoints protected by `AdminPanelGuard`. ## Changes ### Backend (`twenty-server`) - New config variables for admin-level model filtering - `AiModelRegistryService`: `getAllModelsWithStatus()`, `setModelAdminEnabled()` with model ID validation, `isModelAdminAllowed()` - `AdminPanelResolver`: `getAdminAiModels` query, `setAdminAiModelEnabled` mutation - `WorkspaceEntity`: new fields (`autoEnableNewAiModels`, `disabledAiModelIds`, `enabledAiModelIds`, `useRecommendedModels`) - `WorkspaceService`: model validation on `smartModel`/`fastModel` updates - `AgentResolver`: model availability checks on create/update - `isModelAllowedByWorkspace` centralized utility - `isRecommended` flag on model definitions - Two TypeORM migrations ### Frontend (`twenty-front`) - New `SettingsAdminAI` component with search, filter dropdown (unconfigured/deprecated), and model toggle cards - AI tab added to admin panel navigation - `useWorkspaceAiModelAvailability` hook for workspace-level filtering - `SettingsAIModelsTab` redesigned: merged sections, "Use best models only" toggle, conditional available models list - `getModelIcon`/`getModelProviderLabel` shared utilities with GraphQL enum casing normalization - Updated generated GraphQL types and mock data ## Test plan - [ ] Toggle models on/off in admin panel AI tab and verify they appear/disappear in workspace settings - [ ] Enable "Use best models only" in workspace settings and verify only recommended models are selectable - [ ] Disable recommended mode and verify whitelist/blacklist toggles work correctly - [ ] Verify deprecated models hidden by default, shown greyed out when filter enabled - [ ] Verify unconfigured models hidden by default, shown disabled when filter enabled - [ ] Try setting a disabled model as Smart/Fast model — should be rejected - [ ] Try creating an agent with a disabled model — should be rejected - [ ] Verify admin panel AI tab requires admin access Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) --------- Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com> |
