## Description
Promotes the next-gen UI library (formerly `twenty-new-ui`) to the name
**`twenty-ui`** (v0.1.0, publishable) and renames the old package to
**`twenty-ui-deprecated`**. Rewrites ~1,730 `twenty-ui` imports →
`twenty-ui-deprecated`, updates all configs/CI/Docker/deps, and migrates
twenty-front's `Toggle` to the new package (first consumer) as a
drop-in.
## Next steps
- Wire the `ui/v*` publish dispatch (`cd-deploy-tag.yaml` +
`.yarnrc.yml`), then tag `ui/v0.1.0` to publish.
- Continue migrating components from `twenty-ui-deprecated` →
`twenty-ui`.
## Context
ActivityTargetsInlineCell passed editModeContent via
RecordInlineCellContext, but that context key was no longer read.
Fix aligns the code with the rest of the codebase.

## Summary
- Remove 3 completed migration feature flags: `IS_ATTACHMENT_MIGRATED`,
`IS_NOTE_TARGET_MIGRATED`, `IS_TASK_TARGET_MIGRATED` — these were
already enabled by default for all new workspaces via
`DEFAULT_FEATURE_FLAGS`
- Delete all upgrade command directories for versions <= 1.18 (`1-16/`,
`1-17/`, `1-18/`) along with their module registrations, removing ~6,600
lines of dead migration code
- Simplify frontend utility functions
(`getActivityTargetObjectFieldIdName`, `getActivityTargetsFilter`,
`getActivityTargetFieldNameForObject`,
`generateActivityTargetMorphFieldKeys`,
`findActivitiesOperationSignatureFactory`) by removing the
`isMorphRelation` parameter and always using the morph relation path
- Remove feature flag checks from 7 frontend hooks/components that were
gating attachment and activity target behavior behind the removed flags
- Simplify `buildDefaultRelationFlatFieldMetadatasForCustomObject`
server util to always treat attachment, noteTarget, and taskTarget as
morph relations without checking feature flags
## Summary
- **Delete 10 unused files**: 7 hooks (`useWorkflowRunUnsafe`,
`useGetViewById`, `useCreateViewFieldGroup`, `useDeleteViewFieldGroup`,
`useUpdateViewFieldGroup`, `useCreateManyViewFieldGroups`,
`useMoveViewColumns` + test), 1 component (`SettingsSummaryCard`), 1
utility (`createEventContext`)
- **Rename `objectMetadataItemsState` → `objectMetadataItemsSelector`**
across ~85 files to accurately reflect it is a derived selector (via
`createAtomSelector`), not a base Jotai atom
## Details
### Dead code removed
| Type | Name | Reason |
|------|------|--------|
| Hook | `useWorkflowRunUnsafe` | Never imported — duplicate of
`useWorkflowRun` without schema validation |
| Hook | `useGetViewById` | Never imported — `useViewById` is used
instead |
| Hook | `useCreateViewFieldGroup` | Never imported — CRUD done via
`usePerformViewFieldGroupAPIPersist` |
| Hook | `useDeleteViewFieldGroup` | Same as above |
| Hook | `useUpdateViewFieldGroup` | Same as above |
| Hook | `useCreateManyViewFieldGroups` | Same as above |
| Hook | `useMoveViewColumns` | Only imported by its own test — no
production usage |
| Component | `SettingsSummaryCard` | Never imported anywhere |
| Utility | `createEventContext` | Never imported anywhere |
### Rename
`objectMetadataItemsState` is created via `createAtomSelector` (it
derives from `objectMetadataItemsWithFieldsSelector`), so naming it
`*State` is misleading. Renamed to `objectMetadataItemsSelector` for
consistency with sibling selectors like
`objectMetadataItemsByNamePluralMapSelector`.
## PR Description
- Uses `expr-eval` to enable front components (SDK plugins) to define
conditional availability as declarative expressions.
- Moves shared types and constants to `twenty-shared`
- Introduces a `conditionalAvailabilityExpression` field on
`CommandMenuItemEntity`, allowing command menu items to store an
`expr-eval` compatible expression string that is evaluated against a
CommandMenuContext to determine if the item should be shown.
- Creates an esbuild transform plugin
`conditional-availability-transform-plugin` in `twenty-sdk` that
converts TypeScript conditional availability expressions into
`expr-eval` compatible syntax at build time, so SDK developers can write
natural TS expressions that get transformed to evaluable strings.
- Removes deprecated `forceRegisteredActionsByKey` state and its usage.
- Creates `useCommandMenuContext` hook that builds the full
`CommandMenuContext` object from React state, which is then passed to
`useCommandMenuItemFrontComponentActions` for evaluating conditional
availability expressions.
## Reduce type leakage between GraphQL schemas
### Why
Twenty runs two separate GraphQL schemas: **core** and **metadata**.
NestJS's `@nestjs/graphql` uses a global `TypeMetadataStorage` that
accumulates all decorated types across all modules. When each schema is
built, every registered type leaks into both schemas regardless of which
module it belongs to.
This means the core schema's generated TypeScript
(`generated/graphql.ts`) contained ~2,700 lines of types that only
belong to the metadata schema (and vice versa). This creates confusion
about type ownership, inflates generated code, and makes it harder to
reason about which API surface each schema actually exposes.
### How
**1. Patch `@nestjs/graphql` to support schema-scoped type resolution**
- **(Already done)** Added a `resolverSchemaScope` option to
`GqlModuleOptions`, allowing each schema to declare a scope (e.g.
`'metadata'`)
- `ResolversExplorerService` now filters resolvers by a
`RESOLVER_SCHEMA_SCOPE` metadata key, so each schema only sees its own
resolvers
- `GraphQLSchemaFactory` now performs a **reachability walk**
(`computeReachableTypes`) starting from scoped resolver return types and
arguments, only including types that are transitively referenced —
handling unions, interfaces, and prototype chains
- Type definition storage and orphaned reference registry are cleared
between schema builds to prevent cross-contamination
**2. Register `ClientConfig` as orphaned type in metadata schema**
Since `ClientConfig` is needed in the metadata schema but not directly
returned by a resolver, it's explicitly declared via
`buildSchemaOptions.orphanedTypes`.
**3. Regenerate frontend types and fix imports**
- `generated/graphql.ts` shrank by ~2,700 lines (types moved to where
they belong)
- `generated-metadata/graphql.ts` gained types like `ClientConfig` that
were previously missing
- ~500 frontend files updated to import from the correct generated file
This PR migrates `noteTarget` and `taskTarget` to morph relations behind
separate feature flags, following the Attachment/TimelineActivity
pattern.
It introduces the `IS_NOTE_TARGET_MIGRATED` and
`IS_TASK_TARGET_MIGRATED` flags, updates standard field metadata and
indexes to use morph relations, and adds two **1.17 workspace
migrations** that:
- rename `noteTarget.*Id` / `taskTarget.*Id` columns to `target*Id`
- convert the corresponding field metadata to `MORPH_RELATION` with a
shared `morphId`
On the frontend, note/task target read and write paths switch to
`target*Id` when the respective flag is enabled. Deleted targets are
filtered on reload to prevent reappearing relations.
Fixes https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/issues/16928 and
https://github.com/twentyhq/private-issues/issues/400
When an object is renamed, its corresponding relation field on
noteTarget and taskTarget are not renamed. This caused an issue as in
the FE, we used the related record object name to compute the field name
used in the payload.
This PR addresses it by, instead, finding the field name after
identifying it thanks to the object id.
To reproduce, you can rename an object then try to tie it to a note.
## Summary
This PR adds the `lingui/no-unlocalized-strings` ESLint rule to detect
untranslated strings and fixes translation issues across multiple
components.
## Changes
### ESLint Configuration (`eslint.config.react.mjs`)
- Added comprehensive `ignore` patterns for non-translatable strings
(CSS values, HTML attributes, technical identifiers)
- Added `ignoreNames` for props that don't need translation (className,
data-*, aria-*, etc.)
- Added `ignoreFunctions` for console methods, URL APIs, and other
non-user-facing functions
- Disabled rule for debug files, storybook, and test files
### Components Fixed (~19 files)
- Object record components (field inputs, pickers, merge dialogs)
- Settings components (accounts, admin panel)
- Serverless function components
- Record table and title cell components
## Status
🚧 **Work in Progress** - ~124 files remaining to fix
This PR is being submitted as draft to allow progressive fixing of
remaining translation issues.
## Testing
- Run `npx eslint "src/**/*.tsx"` in `packages/twenty-front` to check
remaining issues
## Scope
- Refactor SingleRecordPicker to handle morphItem and match Multiple one
- fix query generation to take morph into account
Left:
- double check SingleRecordPicker in Workflows / Form
- Fix tests / stories
This PR prepares the refactor of record field definition and column
definition.
We need to separate the two concepts of FieldInput and FieldContext at
the cell level, and the new RecordField concept that will replace
FieldDefinition at the metadata and state level.
So we create a new ui sub-folder in the already existing record-field
folder, in order to separate those two concepts that are still very
close.
Closes https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/1276
We now need to take fields permissions into account when determining if
a cell is editable or not.
a record field (= a cell) is read only if one of the condition is met:
- the object of the record is read-only (can be determined at table
level) by permission setting
- the field of the object is read-only (can be determined at column
level) - either by permission settings or by system (some workflows
fields for intance)
- the record is deleted (can be determined at row level)
we reorganized the code to avoid re-computing known information as much
as possible.

This PR is the first part of a refactoring aiming to deprecate the
hotkey scopes api in favor of the new focus stack api which is more
robust.
The refactored components in this PR are the dropdowns and the side
panel/command menu.
- Replaced `useScopedHotkeys` by `useHotkeysOnFocusedElement` for all
dropdown components, selectable lists and the command menu
- Introduced `focusId` for all dropdowns and created a common hotkey
scope `DropdownHotkeyScope` for backward compatibility
- Replaced `setHotkeyScopeAndMemorizePreviousScope` occurrences with
`usePushFocusItemToFocusStack` and `goBackToPreviousHotkeyScope` with
`removeFocusItemFromFocusStack`
Note: Test that the shorcuts and arrow key navigation still work
properly when interacting with dropdowns and the command menu.
Bugs that I have spotted during the QA but which are already present on
main:
- Icon picker select with arrow keys doesn’t work inside dropdowns
- Some dropdowns are not selectable with arrow keys (no selectable list)
- Dropdowns in dropdowns don’t reset the hotkey scope correctly when
closing
- The table click outside is not triggered after closing a table cell
and clicking outside of the table
Closes#12361
### Changes Made
- In `ActivityTargetsInlineCell`, we now use different component
instance IDs based on context. This ensures that each instance of the
component (whether in right drawer or main view) has its own isolated
state, preventing state conflicts and duplicate dropdowns.
- The `MultipleRecordPicker` component now properly resets its state
when closed, preventing state leakage between instances.

# Introduce focus stack to handle hotkeys
This PR introduces a focus stack to track the order in which the
elements are focused:
- Each focused element has a unique focus id
- When an element is focused, it is pushed on top of the stack
- When an element loses focus, we remove it from the stack
This focus stack is then used to determine which hotkeys are available.
The previous implementation lead to many regressions because of race
conditions, of wrong order of open and close operations and by
overwriting previous states. This implementation should be way more
robust than the previous one.
The new api can be incrementally implemented since it preserves
backwards compatibility by writing to the old hotkey scopes states.
For now, it has been implemented on the modal components.
To test this PR, verify that the shortcuts still work correctly,
especially for the modal components.
This PR fixes the infinite loop that was happening in `RecordShowEffect`
component due to a useEffect on `recordStoreFamilyState` which was
creating a non-deterministic open loop.
The fix was to use a recoilCallback to avoid reading a stale state from
Recoil with `useRecoilValue`, useRecoilCallback always gets the most
fresh data and commits everything before React goes on with rendering,
thus avoiding any stale value in a useEffect.

Fixes https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/957
Remove FieldContext hotkey scope as:
- each Field should set its own hotkey scope (ex:
emails-field-input-{recordId} or emails-field-input for now)
- while opening a fieldInput, we should synchronously set the
corresponding hotkey scope
To cut this refactoring in half, I'm allowing all input to use
TableHotkeyScope.CellEditMode
## What
- Deprecate overlayscrollbars as we decided to follow the native
behavior
- rework on performances (avoid calling recoil states too much at field
level which is quite expensive)
- Also implements:

## TODO
- [x] Manual migrate twenty-website twenty-ui imports
## What's next:
- Generate barrel and migration script factorization within own package
+ tests
- Refactoring using preconstruct ? TimeBox
- Lint circular dependencies
- Lint import from barrel and forbid them
### Preconstruct
We need custom rollup plugins addition, but preconstruct does not expose
its rollup configuration. It might be possible to handle this using the
babel overrides. But was a big tunnel.
We could give it a try afterwards ! ( allowing cjs interop and stuff
like that )

- write integration tests on field metadata service
- prevent users to deactivate createdAt, updatedAt, deletedAt on FE
# Introduction
In this PR we've migrated `twenty-shared` from a `vite` app
[libary-mode](https://vite.dev/guide/build#library-mode) to a
[preconstruct](https://preconstruct.tools/) "atomic" application ( in
the future would like to introduce preconstruct to handle of all our
atomic dependencies such as `twenty-emails` `twenty-ui` etc it will be
integrated at the monorepo's root directly, would be to invasive in the
first, starting incremental via `twenty-shared`)

## How to test
In order to ease the review this PR will ship all the codegen at the
very end, the actual meaning full diff is `+2,411 −114`
In order to migrate existing dependent packages to `twenty-shared` multi
barrel new arch you need to run in local:
```sh
yarn tsx packages/twenty-shared/scripts/migrateFromSingleToMultiBarrelImport.ts && \
npx nx run-many -t lint --fix -p twenty-front twenty-ui twenty-server twenty-emails twenty-shared twenty-zapier
```
Note that `migrateFromSingleToMultiBarrelImport` is idempotent, it's atm
included in the PR but should not be merged. ( such as codegen will be
added before merging this script will be removed )

## Upcoming enhancement: ( in others dedicated PRs )
- 1/ refactor generate barrel to export atomic module instead of `*`
- 2/ generate barrel own package with several files and tests
- 3/ Migration twenty-ui the same way
- 4/ Use `preconstruct` at monorepo global level
## Conclusion
As always any suggestions are welcomed !
Closes https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/271
This PR
- Removes the feature flag IS_COMMAND_MENU_V2_ENABLED
- Removes all old Right drawer components
- Removes the Action menu bar
- Removes unused Copilot page
Refactor to only have MultipleRecordPicker and SingleRecordPicker
What's done:
- SingleRecordPicker, MultipleRecordPicker
- RelationToOneInput
- RelationFromManyInput
- usage in TableCell, InlineCell, RelationDetailSection, Workflow
What's left:
- Make a pass on the app, to make sure the hotkeyScopes, clickOutside
are properly set
- Fix flashing on ActivityTarget
- add more tests on the code
## Context
ActivityTargetsInlineCell was not using the useIsFieldValueReadOnly hook
but a dedicated prop instead. To align with the rest of the
implementation I've updated that part of the code however we still want
the table/kanban views to always be in read-only mode regardless of the
hook logic so I've updated the hook to take the ContextStoreViewType
into account.
This PR is part 3 of RecordPicker refactoring.
It aims to remove all effects from:
- (low level layer) SingleRecordPicker, MultipleRecordPicker
- (higher level layer) RelationPicker, RelationToOneInput,
RelationFromManyInput, ActivityTargetInput...
In this PR, I'm re-grouping Effects in ActivityTarget section and
creating a hook that will be called on inlineCellOpen
## Context
We are experiencing a lot of re-rendering / flash on MultiRecordSelect /
SingleRecordSelect / RelationPicker.
This PR is a first step to refactor this components
## Scope
Only move files to uniformize and prepare for the upcoming refactoring
## Vision
- SingleRecordPicker
- MultipleRecordPicker
- sharing RecordPicker tooling (RecordPickerComponentInstanceContext,
searchState)
Used in other areas:
- RelationPicker (which is actually only a subcomponent of
RelationToOneFieldInput)
- RelationFromManyFieldInput
- WorkflowRelationFieldInput
- etc.
+ remove all effects
+ migrate to the latest APIs
+ make a pass on re-renders to remove them completely (we likely need to
use a bit more familyStates here)
# Introduction
This PR is highly related to previous optimistic cache refactor:
https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/9881
Here we've added some logic within the
`triggerUpdateRelationsOptimisticEffect` which will now run if given
recordInput `deletedAt` field is defined.
If deletion, we will iterate over all the fields searching for
`RELATION` for which deletion might implies necessity to detach the
relation
## Known troubleshooting ( also on main )

We might have to refactor the `prefillRecord` to spread and
overrides`inputValue` over defaultOne as inputValue could be a partial
one for more info please a look to
# Conclusion
Any suggestions are welcomed !

- Removed disableBlur property from dropdown because it is no longer
needed since there's only one OverlayContainer component so there can be
only one blur at a time.
- Removed blur CSS properties from every component that used it because
one standalone OverlayContainer is able to handle all cases if placed
properly.
- Also removed disableBackgroundBlur property from SingleRecordSelect
- Removed FieldInputOverlay and FieldTextAreaOverlay components that
were a first attempt to create something like an OverlayContainer
- Used new unified OverlayContainer in RecordInlineCell and
RecordTableCell
- Fixed ScrollWrapper so that it works well both for dropdown with non
overflowing content and dropdown with overflowing content.
- Removed export default value on SearchVariablesDropdown as it is not
used in this codebase
- Refactored SearchVariablesDropdown function as component anti-pattern
- Refactored SearchVariablesDropdownFieldItems UI problems with
separator and missing ScrollWrapper behavior
- Refactored SearchVariablesDropdownObjectItems with UI problems with
separator and missing ScrollWrapper behavior
- Fixed blur bug on Firefox due to wrong placement of the element that
had the CSS property. Blur works on Firefox it it's on the container
that has the highest level in the tree.
- Fixed bug in ActivityTargetInlineCell by removing an unnecessary
container component StyledSelectContainer
- Unified problems of field height with a new common component
FieldInputContainer, instead of putting width and height at the wrong
abstraction level, width and height are a field's concern not a
dropdown, overlay or low-level input concern.
- Fixed block editor dropdown with new OverlayContainer
- Aligning field dropdown with their anchor on inline and table cells,
there are still many small pixel misalignments that give a low quality
impression.
- Fixed FormDateFieldInput that was missing OverlayContainer
