refactor(app-marketplace): rename featured to vetted (#22674)
## What Renames the application-registration "featured" flag to "vetted" across the backend, frontend, GraphQL schema/DTOs, and the marketplace UI. "Vetted" better describes what the flag actually does today: it marks an app as reviewed and approved by the Twenty team (a trust signal), rather than "featured" which reads as spotlighting/promotion. The admin toggle description was already "Mark this app as reviewed and approved". ## How - Renamed `isFeatured` -> `isVetted` on the `ApplicationRegistration` entity, DTOs (`MarketplaceApp`, `MarketplaceAppDetail`, `UpdateApplicationRegistrationPayload`), services, GraphQL fragments, and the settings/admin UI (labels: "Featured" -> "Vetted", "Featured only" -> "Vetted only", etc.). - Renamed the `MARKETPLACE_FEATURED_APPLICATIONS` constant/file to `MARKETPLACE_VETTED_APPLICATIONS`. - Regenerated GraphQL client artifacts (`generated-metadata`, `generated-admin`, `twenty-client-sdk`). ### Database The `isFeatured` column is renamed in place to `isVetted` via a single 2.20 fast instance command (`ALTER TABLE ... RENAME COLUMN`). No new column, no data-copy backfill. - Since all 2.19 commands (including the existing `isFeatured` backfill) complete before any 2.20 command runs, the rename carries over the values that backfill set. - The entity uses `@WasRenamedInUpgrade` so the upgrade-aware layer queries the old column name until the rename step runs during an upgrade. ## Testing - `nx typecheck` and `nx lint:diff-with-main` pass for twenty-server and twenty-front. - Ran `database:reset` on a fresh dev DB: the 2.19 `isFeatured` backfill runs first, then the 2.20 rename; the column ends up as `isVetted` (and `isFeatured` no longer exists), values preserved. - Booted the server: the `@WasRenamedInUpgrade` decorator validates against the upgrade sequence, and GraphQL introspection confirms all four types expose `isVetted` and none expose `isFeatured`. - Ran the three `graphql:generate` configs and the SDK metadata client generator so the committed generated files match the generator output (field ordering included). ## Notes - The `api-breaking-changes` check flags the removal of the `isFeatured` GraphQL field — that is expected and inherent to this rename. - Translation catalogs (`locales/`) are intentionally not touched here since they are managed via Crowdin; new English strings render via Lingui's default-message fallback until translated. |

feat(server): support server-scoped files via nullable workspaceId on file table (#22587)
Part of the app settings architecture cleanup (twentyhq/core-team-issues#2456) — PR 1 of the server-level documents plan, reworked after the revert of #22560 (#22579). Same capability, different shape: **no new entity** — server-level documents live in the existing `file` table with a nullable `workspaceId`. ## Problem All file storage is workspace-scoped (`FileEntity.workspaceId NOT NULL`, `{workspaceId}/{app}/…` storage keys). Server-level data like application-registration manifests and tarballs for ownerless catalog registrations has no first-class home, forcing raw-driver bypasses (`DefaultAiCatalogService`, prototype #22556). ## Changes (core storage layer only — no HTTP serving, no GraphQL exposure) **`FileEntity` gains server scope** (mirrors `KeyValuePairEntity`, which already supports both instance-level and per-workspace rows): - `workspaceId` uuid becomes **nullable** — NULL means server-scoped; the entity no longer extends `WorkspaceRelatedEntity` and declares its columns directly - `applicationRegistrationId` nullable FK (`onDelete: CASCADE`) — registration-owned documents follow their registration - ownership checks: `workspaceId IS NOT NULL OR applicationRegistrationId IS NOT NULL` and `workspaceId IS NULL OR applicationRegistrationId IS NULL` — every row has exactly one owner - `IDX_FILE_APPLICATION_REGISTRATION_ID_PATH_UNIQUE` UNIQUE (`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) — mirrors the workspace unique-constraint pattern; workspace rows are exempt via their NULL `applicationRegistrationId` **New `ServerFileStorageService`** (`file-storage/services/`, exported from the global `FileStorageModule`; `FileStorageService` moved alongside it): - storage keys `server/{fileFolder}/{applicationRegistrationId}/{resourcePath}` — the registration segment is injected by the service itself, so paths cannot collide across registrations; scope-validation util mirroring `validateStoragePathIsWithinWorkspaceOrThrow`; new `ServerFileFolder` enum in twenty-shared - `writeServerFile` (upsert on (`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) + driver write; throws on failure), `readServerFile`/`readServerFileById` (missing row or bytes surfaces `FILE_NOT_FOUND`), `checkServerFileExists`, `deleteServerFile`/`deleteByServerFileId` (bytes best-effort, row authoritative), `deleteByApplicationRegistrationId` - rows are accessed through a plain repository pinned to `workspaceId: IsNull()` on every query; workspace-file code paths still go through `WorkspaceScopedRepository`, which never sees NULL rows **Null-safety ripples** (workspaceId is now `string | null`): - `WorkspaceScopedEntity` bound widened to `workspaceId: string | null` (the wrapper always filters with a concrete id) - `list-and-delete-orphaned-workspace-entities` now skips `workspaceId IS NULL` rows — previously `NOT EXISTS` would have flagged server rows as orphans and deleted them - `PendingFileCleanupService` sweeps only `workspaceId IS NOT NULL` rows; `application-package-fetcher` pins its tarball lookup to workspace rows (tarball migration to server scope is a follow-up PR) **Migration**: `allow-server-scoped-file` ships as a **2-20 fast instance command** (2.20.0 is current since #22639; re-slotted from 2-19 per review). Command runs are tracked by name, so instances that already executed the 2-20 `standardOverrides` drop command still pick this one up. Its realistic timestamp sorts before that drop command's fabricated `1825000000000`, which the `ci:allow-upgrade-command-timestamp-exception` label covers. ## Next PRs in the plan - PR 2: HTTP serving + token type for server files - PR 3: application-registration manifests stored as versioned server files (rework of draft #22556) - PR 4 (optional): registration tarballs migrate to server scope ## Verification - New spec `server-file-storage.service.spec.ts` (traversal table, upsert conflict semantics, row-before-bytes reads, best-effort byte deletion, registration cascade) + scope-validation util spec; affected suites all green - Typecheck (server + shared), `lint:diff-with-main`, full `oxfmt --check src/` on both packages clean - Fresh `database:reset` on the re-slotted branch: the 2-20 command executes, generator then reports **no schema drift**; both ownership checks and the composite unique verified live (dual-owner insert and duplicate registration+path both rejected) |

App installation workspace version check engines constraint (#22613)
## What
Makes the app-installation version gate **workspace-scoped**. App
installation now validates a manifest's `engines.twenty` requirement
against the version the **target workspace has actually finished
upgrading to**, instead of the instance/server's inferred version.
## Why
The server binary and a given workspace's migration state can diverge.
In a multi-workspace deployment the instance can already report version
`X` while an individual workspace still hasn't completed its
workspace-scoped upgrade commands for `X` (it's mid-upgrade or a
migration failed). Gating on the instance version let an app that
requires `X` install into a workspace whose schema/metadata is
effectively still at `X-1`, which can break the app. The requirement
should be checked against what the *workspace* has completed, not what
the server reports.
## How
- **`UpgradeStatusService.getWorkspaceCompletedVersion(workspaceId)`**
(new): resolves the last fully-completed upgrade version for a workspace
by reading its upgrade cursor and walking the upgrade sequence:
- Returns the cursor's version when the cursor sits on the **last step
of its version segment** and its status is `completed`.
- Otherwise walks backwards to the previous fully-completed version
segment.
- Returns `null` when the cursor is missing, not found in the sequence,
or otherwise uninterpretable.
- **`ApplicationVersionValidationService`**:
- Adds `validateWorkspaceCompatibility({ requiredServerVersion,
workspaceId })`.
- Extracts the shared semver logic into a private
`validateVersionAgainstRange({ version, requiredVersionRange, scope })`
and makes error messages scope-aware (workspace vs. instance).
`validateServerCompatibility` is preserved and now delegates to it.
- New failure reason `INVALID_WORKSPACE_VERSION`.
- **`ApplicationInstallService`** now calls
`validateWorkspaceCompatibility` with the `workspaceId` instead of
`validateServerCompatibility`.
- **Exception plumbing**: new
`ApplicationExceptionCode.INVALID_WORKSPACE_VERSION`, surfaced as a
`UserInputError` (`BAD_USER_INPUT`) with a user-friendly message ("This
workspace's upgrade state could not be determined…"). The
tarball/registration path maps it onto the existing
`INVALID_SERVER_VERSION` registration code.
## Notes
- **Publishing (app registration) is intentionally not
workspace-gated.** The tarball/registration path
(`ApplicationTarballService`) still uses the instance-level
`validateServerCompatibility` check, not the new workspace-scoped one.
Publishing an app is not tied to any particular workspace's upgrade
state, so there is no workspace version to check at that point — the
workspace-completed-version gate only applies when installing an app
into a specific workspace.
## Testing
- Unit tests for `ApplicationVersionValidationService`
(`validateServerCompatibility` + new `validateWorkspaceCompatibility`)
covering: no requirement, invalid semver range, satisfied/unsatisfied
ranges, and the uninterpretable-cursor case.
- Unit tests for `UpgradeStatusService.getWorkspaceCompletedVersion`
against a three-segment mock upgrade sequence (multi-command version,
instance-only version, workspace-terminated version).
- New integration suite
`failing-app-installation-workspace-version.integration-spec.ts` (+
snapshots) exercising the real install flow: rejects installation when
the workspace hasn't completed the required version, and when the
workspace's upgrade cursor can't be interpreted. Adds a
`create-app-tarball.util.ts` test helper.

fix(server): make all view children reparentable across a workspace migration sync (#22600)
## Summary Uniformizes the workspace migration engine so **every** view child entity — `viewField`, `viewFieldGroup`, `viewGroup`, `viewFilter`, `viewSort`, `viewFilterGroup` — can be reparented from one view to another within a single manifest sync, including when the previous parent view is deleted in the same sync. ### Context When an app manifest deletes a view and reparents its children onto another view in the same sync (e.g. replacing a custom `FIELDS_WIDGET` view with a standard one), the sync failed with a builder validation error `View field to update parent view not found`. Root causes: 1. `viewField`, `viewFieldGroup` and `viewGroup` had `viewId.toCompare: false`, so the diff never detected the parent-view change and never emitted a reparent update (the already-reparentable siblings `viewFilter`/`viewSort`/`viewFilterGroup` had `toCompare: true`). 2. `validateFlatViewFieldGroupUpdate` resolved the *old* parent view (it ignored the update patch), inconsistent with the other view-child validators. 3. Once the builder no longer errors, the runner would fail silently: `view.delete` ran **before** the child reparent updates, and `viewId` is `onDelete: CASCADE`, so the old view's deletion cascade-deleted the children before they could be reparented (silent data loss, since `repository.update` on a missing row is a no-op). ### Changes - **`all-entity-properties-configuration-by-metadata-name.constant.ts`**: set `viewId.toCompare: true` for `viewField`, `viewFieldGroup`, `viewGroup`. Because `viewId` maps to `universalProperty: 'viewUniversalIdentifier'`, the diff compares **only** `viewUniversalIdentifier` (never the raw FK). Snapshot updated accordingly. - **`flat-view-field-group-validator.service.ts`**: merge `flatEntityUpdate` and resolve the **new** parent view, matching the `viewField`/`viewGroup`/`viewSort` validators. - **`compute-ordered-migration-actions.util.ts`**: move `view.delete` to run **after** all view-child create/update actions so a child can be reparented off a view that is being deleted in the same sync. Child `delete → create → update` order is preserved (needed for `viewField`'s partial-unique `(fieldMetadataId, viewId)`). - **New integration test** `successful-manifest-reparent-view-children.integration-spec.ts` covering reparenting of every view child (a) between two persisting views and (b) when the source view is deleted in the same sync. ## Test plan - [x] `nx typecheck twenty-server` - [x] oxlint + oxfmt on changed files - [x] Unit snapshot regenerated: `all-universal-flat-entity-properties-to-compare-and-stringify.constant.spec` - [x] New integration test passes (both scenarios) - [x] Verified the delete-source scenario **fails** on the old action ordering (children cascade-deleted, `Received length: 0`) and **passes** after the reorder — confirming it's a genuine regression guard Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22600?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Deterministic system field universal identifier (#22565)
# Introduction Close twentyhq/core-team-issues#2641 Auto-provisioned field metadata used to get its `universalIdentifier` from three unrelated sources: random `v4()` on the server when creating custom objects, hardcoded values in `STANDARD_OBJECTS`, and an ad-hoc `v5` derivation in the SDK manifest build. This PR unifies all of them behind the shared `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` derivation: ``` universalIdentifier = f(applicationUniversalIdentifier, objectUniversalIdentifier, fieldName) ``` ## Ownership model The rollout is built on an explicit split of who owns a field's universal identifier: - **The 8 system fields** (`id`, `createdAt`, `updatedAt`, `deletedAt`, `createdBy`, `updatedBy`, `position`, `searchVector`) are **server-owned**. Their universal identifiers are always the deterministic derivation, on **every** application (standard, workspace-custom, installed). Clients cannot provide custom values: a temporary check in `validateObjectMetadataSystemFieldsIntegrity` rejects any non-derived system field identifier at migration build time. This check stands in until system fields are generated exclusively server side by the metadata side-effect engine and stripped from client inputs — at which point it becomes structurally impossible to send one. - **`name` is a default field, not a system field**: it is auto-provisioned when absent (server side for custom objects, SDK side for application objects) but authors can define their own. It is only derived where it is guaranteed to be auto-provisioned. In particular, standard objects keep their **historical hardcoded** `name` identifiers: the standard app authors its `name` fields like any installed app would, and moving those identifiers would break every installed application referencing them (e.g. views on `opportunity.name`). - **User-created and author-provided fields** keep random / explicit identifiers, untouched. ## Server - `validateObjectMetadataSystemFieldsIntegrity` now validates, on top of the existing type/`isSystem` checks, that each system field's `universalIdentifier` equals the deterministic derivation. Runs for every object creation going through the migration orchestrator: app sync, custom object creation, standard provisioning - `build-default-flat-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts` derives the system field identifiers (and the auto-provisioned `name`) with `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` instead of `v4()` - `build-default-relation-flat-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts` derives both the forward and the reverse default relation field identifiers deterministically - `generateMorphOrRelationFlatFieldMetadataPair` accepts optional `sourceFieldUniversalIdentifier` / `targetFieldUniversalIdentifier` so callers can inject deterministic values; user-created relations still default to `v4()` ## twenty-shared - `STANDARD_OBJECTS` system field identifiers (the 8) are now computed at module load via `buildStandardObjectSystemFields`; `name` and every other identifier keep their hardcoded values - New snapshot test pinning **every** universal identifier of `STANDARD_OBJECTS`: any identifier change now requires an explicit snapshot update and should ship with a coordinated backfill ## SDK (breaking, pre-GA) - `generateDefaultFieldUniversalIdentifier` delegates to `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` and now requires `applicationUniversalIdentifier` - Reverse default relation field identifiers are derived from the field's real coordinates (standard object UID + actual field name, e.g. `targetRocket` on `attachment`) instead of the legacy custom-object UID + synthetic `${fieldName}Inverse` hash input. Field *names* are unchanged - The manifest build threads the application universal identifier through default field injection (two-pass over object configs) - `twenty dev:add` now resolves the application universal identifier upfront and refuses to scaffold anything until `defineApplication` declares one — no more `fill-later` placeholder for the app UID in generated files ## Upgrade A 2.19 **workspace command** backfills existing `fieldMetadata.universalIdentifier` rows to the deterministic derivation. Coverage follows the ownership model: - **The 8 system fields**: taken over for **every application**, whatever value they currently hold. This is both safe and required now that sync rejects non-derived values — leaving a row unconverged would make its application unsyncable - **`name`**: workspace-custom app → always taken over (server-generated, no author to clobber); installed applications → only rows still carrying the legacy SDK derivation are recomputed, author-provided identifiers are never touched; standard app → never touched (hardcoded in `STANDARD_OBJECTS`) - **Default relation fields**: workspace-custom app → forward fields on custom objects and reverse fields on the standard relation objects; installed applications → legacy-derivation probe only All identifiers of a workspace are updated inside a single transaction, then the command flushes the field-metadata-related workspace caches and bumps the metadata version. Stored `applicationRegistration.manifest` snapshots are intentionally **not** rewritten: installs and upgrades always sync from the `manifest.json` inside the resolved package (npm/tarball), the stored column is only used for display/marketplace purposes. ## Breaking behavior for old packages (fail closed) Packages built with an older SDK carry legacy system field identifiers in their tarball `manifest.json`. Installing or upgrading such a package now fails with an explicit `INVALID_SYSTEM_FIELD` validation error ("universal identifier is not deterministic") instead of silently mismatching against the backfilled rows and triggering a destructive delete+create. The remediation is to rebuild the package with the new SDK; the backfill has already converged the installed rows, so the rebuilt manifest syncs cleanly. ## Test plan - [x] `twenty-sdk` unit tests (526 tests) and typecheck - [x] `twenty-shared` unit tests (1635 tests) including the `STANDARD_OBJECTS` snapshot; `name` identifiers verified byte-for-byte identical to `main` - [x] Lint and typecheck clean on all touched packages - [x] Integration: create a custom object and verify system + default relation field identifiers match the deterministic derivation (`create-one-object-metadata-deterministic-field-universal-identifiers`, 13 assertions passing) - [x] Integration: `failing-sync-application-object-system-fields` extended with a non-derived system field identifier case; all identifiers in the spec pinned deterministically so snapshots embedding expected/actual values are stable across runs (verified with a double run) - [x] Integration: all application sync suites pass with the derived system field identifiers now required by the `buildDefaultObjectManifest` test helper (9 suites, 20 tests) - [x] Full test-database reset: standard app provisioning and seeded workspaces pass the new validation - [x] SDK manifest build verified on the postcard example app: all auto-generated default field identifiers match the derivation - [ ] Run `upgrade:2-19:backfill-deterministic-field-universal-identifiers` (dry-run then real) on a seeded workspace and verify identifier convergence with a rebuilt app manifest |

Centralized side effects devxp basis (#22295)
# Introduction
This PR introduces a centralized, strictly-typed **metadata side-effect
engine** that unifies how system metadata side effects are derived and
applied across both metadata entry points — the **metadata GraphQL API**
and the **application sync / manifest** flow — and migrates the first
side effect end-to-end: **a unique scalar field owns its backing
single-field `UNIQUE` index** (full create / update / delete lifecycle).
## New conventions
- **Engine-owned companions**: metadata flagged `isSystemSideEffect:
true` is owned by the engine. Its deletion is never inferred from
absence in a manifest — it results from PG-level cascade or from a
delete side effect (a side effect always has a cause, its parent
metadata).
- **Reserved deterministic identifiers**: apps cannot declare metadata
reusing an engine-owned deterministic `universalIdentifier`. Doing so
fails validation with `RESERVED_SYSTEM_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER` (until an
explicit override API exists).
- **Record-native operation matrix**: the operation matrix is keyed by
`universalIdentifier` (`AllFlatEntityOperationRecordByMetadataName`)
instead of arrays, making parent resolution and deduplication O(1).
Array-based API callers are transpiled to records at the
validate-build-and-run boundary.
- Twenty-sdk user-facing experience with system fields will only be
related to overrides.
# What this PR does
## 1. Side-effect engine (foundation)
- `MetadataSideEffectEngineService.expandWithSideEffects(...)` takes the
intention-carrying record matrix and returns it expanded with derived
side effects, or a structured failure.
- Handlers are registered via a typed **decorator + registry** pattern
(`MetadataSideEffectHandler({ operation, metadataName, name, description
})`), with runtime duplicate-name detection. Multiple handlers per
(operation, metadataName) are supported.
- Handler contract mirrors the validator pattern:
- receives the trigger flat entity, the live record matrix, and
**strictly-typed related flat entity maps**
(`MetadataFlatEntityAndRelatedFlatEntityMapsForSideEffect<P>`, derived
from declared companion metadata names — no loose
`Partial<AllFlatEntityMaps>` context)
- returns `MetadataSideEffectResult`: `success` (operations record) |
`noop` | `fail` (structured failure)
- **Non-recursion is structural**: triggers are read from the original
caller input, never from the expanded matrix, so a side effect can never
trigger another side effect.
- **Deduplication + collision detection**: side effects are deduped by
`universalIdentifier` per operation; a caller-declared entity colliding
with an engine-owned deterministic identifier is recorded as a
collision.
- **Unified failure channel**: handler failures and reserved-identifier
collisions are merged into the same `OrchestratorFailureReport` contract
as builder validation errors, and the run short-circuits (fail-closed,
nothing is applied).
## 2. First migrated side effect — unique field → backing unique index
Three handlers own the complete lifecycle of the deterministic
single-field `UNIQUE` index backing a unique scalar field:
- **create**: unique scalar field → generate the deterministic backing
index (`fieldUniqueBackingIndexOnCreate`)
- **update**: `isUnique` flips and renames of still-unique fields (the
index name — and therefore its deterministic identifier — derives from
the field name, so a rename drops the stale index and recreates the
deterministic one) (`fieldUniqueBackingIndexOnUpdate`)
- **delete**: cascade-delete the backing index
(`fieldUniqueBackingIndexOnDelete`)
Supporting rules:
- The primary key `id` field never spawns a backing index (uniqueness
comes from the PK constraint) — explicit `isPrimaryKeyFlatFieldMetadata`
guard.
- Parent object resolution is **optimistic-first**: an object created or
updated in the same batch wins over the workspace cache (so e.g.
renaming an object while flipping a field to unique builds the index
from the post-rename object), resolved in O(1) via the record matrix.
- A missing parent object is reported as a structured side-effect
failure, never silently skipped.
## 3. Path convergence — manifest and API share one flow
- The manifest sync now derives a from→to **record matrix** from the
cache and feeds `validateBuildAndRunWorkspaceMigrationFromRecord`, the
same flow the API uses — both paths converge on the engine.
- Manifest-side unique-index generation and API transpiler
system-unique-index handling were removed (declared/composite/relation
indexes stay untouched).
- New `WorkspaceMigrationFlatEntityMapsService` mutualizes
flat-entity-maps computation between the side-effect engine and the
builder: cache keys are derived from the caller metadata names (+
validation- and side-effect-related closures) instead of hardcoded
loads.
- App-scoping and pruning are folded into one shared primitive
(`getSubAllFlatEntityMapsByApplicationIdsOrThrow`): slicing dependency
maps to the involved applications always prunes dangling one-to-many
aggregators — callers can no longer forget it.
- **Behavior change**: an app extending another app's view with a view
field now syncs successfully (cross-app view-field extension), covered
by a dedicated integration test.
## 4. Backfill upgrade command (2.19)
`upgrade:2-19:backfill-system-unique-index-universal-identifier`
rewrites legacy system unique-index `universalIdentifier`s to their
deterministic value so the engine can own pre-existing indexes. The
backfill is **driven from `isUnique: true` fields** (mirroring the
engine ownership predicate — excludes PK / morph / relation fields) and
resolves each field's backing index in O(1).
# Bugs fixed along the way
- `database:reset` seeding failed with
`INDEX_FIELD_INVALID_DEFAULT_VALUE`: the engine derived a backing
`UNIQUE` index for the default `id` primary key. Fixed with the explicit
primary-key guard.
- `isUnique` updates on system-flagged standard fields (e.g.
auto-created `name`) did not trigger the backing-index side effect.
- Manifest sync crashed with "Could not find flat entity with universal
identifier ..." when app-scoped slices left dangling aggregator
references — fixed by centralizing pruning in the shared slice primitive

feat(server): promote registration display fields to first-class columns (#22513)
Part of the application settings architecture work: https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2456 — follow-up to #22453, delivering the promised removal of the temporary manifest load. Display data (description, author, category, websiteUrl, aboutDescription, termsUrl, emailSupport, issueReportUrl, screenshots) only existed inside the `manifest` jsonb, forcing hot paths to load it. This PR: - Promotes those 9 fields to first-class columns on `applicationRegistration`, populated at every ingestion point (`updateFromManifest`, both `upsertFromCatalog` branches) — fast command creates the columns at deploy, slow command backfills them from the manifest. - `findManyListedCatalogCards()` (marketplace list) now selects only scalar columns — the manifest jsonb is no longer loaded there. - `findPublicByClientId()` (OAuth consent page) now selects `id, name, logo, websiteUrl, oAuthScopes` — no manifest. - The narrow select used by `findMany`/`findAll`/`findOneById`/`findOneByIdGlobal` includes the new columns. - GraphQL surface unchanged (no new fields); the marketplace detail endpoint still reads the manifest and is slimmed in the next PR. Verified: migration applied via the real runner (both commands recorded completed), backfill SQL exercised against live rows (full + minimal manifests), migration generator reports no pending schema changes, typecheck, lint, unit suites (application-registration + marketplace 15/15). 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) https://claude.ai/code/session_011sST4rPLU1Koi2oVGi84ei --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_011sST4rPLU1Koi2oVGi84ei)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22513?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

fix(server): resolve foreign key violation blocking application uninstall (#22502)
Fixes [sonarly issue #54192](https://sonarly.com/issue/54192) ## Problem Uninstalling an application fails with a DB error when its `packageJsonFileId` / `yarnLockFileId` columns are populated: update or delete on table "file" violates foreign key constraint "FK_3818380258798f9ffa9963b6dc4" on table "application" Storage was also wiped before the failing DB delete, leaving the app half-uninstalled. ## Root cause `application` and `file` reference each other through `ON DELETE RESTRICT` FKs (`application.packageJsonFileId/yarnLockFileId → file.id` and `file.applicationId → application.id`), so no deletion order works on its own. The deferrable-FK migration doesn't help: in Postgres, `RESTRICT` fires immediately even on `DEFERRABLE INITIALLY DEFERRED` constraints (only `NO ACTION` honors deferral). Uninstall deleted file rows first, in autocommit statements. ## Fix `ApplicationService.delete()` now runs in a single transaction: 1. Clear `packageJsonFileId` / `yarnLockFileId` (breaks the FK cycle) 2. Delete the app's `file` rows 3. Delete the `application` row Storage cleanup moved after commit and made non-fatal, so a failure can no longer leave partial state. `deleteApplicationFiles` is split into `deleteApplicationFileRows` (DB, transactional) and `deleteApplicationFilesFromStorage` (blobs). The test cleanup util had the same file-first ordering bug and is fixed the same way. ## Questions / Follow-ups - **Should the FK cycle be resolved at the schema level?** Both legs could be switched to `ON DELETE NO ACTION DEFERRABLE INITIALLY DEFERRED`, which appears to be what the deferrable-FK migration intended — deferral would then actually apply to deletes, making transactional deletion order-independent. Happy to open a separate PR if there's interest. - **Should the marketplace install path set the package file FKs?** It stores `package.json` in the `file` table but never populates `application.packageJsonFileId` / `yarnLockFileId` — today only workspace creation and `application:rebuild-default-deps` set them. Marketplace packages also don't ship a `yarn.lock`, so this needs a product decision. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22502?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

feat(server): improve traceability of flat-entity map mutation errors (#22396)
## Context
cc @rashad
Twenty applies metadata changes optimistically to in-memory *flat entity
maps* before persisting them. The utils that mutate these maps throw
`FlatEntityMapsException` on invariant violations, which surface in
Sentry (e.g. during `InstallApplication`) as a **hardcoded, generic
message with no identifying data**:
```
GraphQLError: addUniversalFlatEntityToUniversalFlatEntityMapsThroughMutationOrThrow: flat entity to add already exists
```
There was no way to know *which* entity collided — making triage
impossible.
## What this does (two layers)
**Layer 1 — leaf utils emit identifiers**
- `FlatEntityMapsException` gains an optional structured `context`
(`universalIdentifier` / `id` / `applicationId` / `metadataName` /
`relatedMetadataName` / `operation`), read by the Sentry driver's
existing `'context' in exception` → `setExtra` channel.
- All **9 leaf throw sites** append their in-scope identifiers to the
message **and** populate `context`.
**Propagation — context survives the re-wraps**
- On the install path the collision throws in the (unwrapped)
`compute()` step, so the raw exception + context reaches app-sync
intact.
- For the run/build-phase paths, the migration runner and
build-orchestrator re-wraps copy only `.message`; they now also
**forward `context`** so structured data survives there too.
**Layer 2 — human installation error**
- `synchronizeFromManifest` catches flat-entity failures, resolves the
offending `universalIdentifier` to a manifest **object/field label**,
and rethrows `ApplicationException(APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED)`
with a safe, human `userFriendlyMessage`.
- The leaf `userFriendlyMessage` stays `STANDARD_ERROR_MESSAGE` — the
detailed message never leaks to end users.
- `APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED` surfaces with the dedicated
`ErrorCode.APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED` GraphQL code (mirroring the
workspace-migration runner formatter), not `INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR`.
### Result — client-facing GraphQL error envelope
```json
{
"extensions": {
"code": "APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED",
"subCode": "APPLICATION_INSTALLATION_FAILED",
"userFriendlyMessage": "We couldn't install \"Test Application\". Its Invoice could not be applied to your workspace."
},
"message": "Installing application 'Test Application' failed [object: Invoice]: addUniversalFlatEntityToUniversalFlatEntityMapsThroughMutationOrThrow: flat entity to add already exists (universalIdentifier: ...)",
"name": "GraphQLError"
}
```
## Where the identifier shows up (not just Sentry)
The offending `universalIdentifier` reaches every consumer, not only
Sentry:
- **Sentry (server):** structured `context` extras + the enriched
message (fingerprinted by `code`, so no issue fragmentation).
- **GraphQL response `message`:** un-masked (no `useMaskedErrors`; the
error-handler hook passes `BaseGraphQLError` through as-is), so it
travels over the wire.
- **App-author SDK/CLI terminal:** `twenty-sdk` captures
`errors[0].message`; for this error `formatManifestValidationErrors`
returns `null` (no `extensions.errors`/`summary`), so the orchestrator
falls back to printing the full message, e.g.:
```
✗ Sync failed with error: Installing application 'X' failed [object:
Invoice]: … already exists (universalIdentifier: b1b2c3d4-…)
ℹ Hint: a metadata conflict was detected. Preview the plan with `yarn
twenty dev --once --dry-run`; …
```
The `already exists` / `universalidentifier` substrings also trigger
`getSyncErrorRecoveryHint`, so the author gets an actionable next step.
- **End-user (CRM UI):** only the safe rendered `userFriendlyMessage`
(no UUIDs).
## Design note
`userFriendlyMessage` behaviour of the leaf exceptions is intentionally
unchanged (guardrail). Layer 2 resolves labels for **objects and
fields** (the bulk of metadata); other manifest entity kinds fall back
to an app-name-only human message to avoid brittle manifest-walking —
easy to extend. A future first-class option would be structured
`extensions` (like `METADATA_VALIDATION_FAILED`) + a dedicated SDK
formatter; deferred since the message path already surfaces the detail
in the terminal.
## Tests
- **Unit:** existing through-mutation + runner-exception specs still
pass (they assert on exception **code**, not message). Added a spec for
the enrichment util.
- **Response-format snapshot (verified, green):**
`application-exception-filter.spec.ts` runs the exception filter and
snapshots the exact client-facing GraphQL error envelope shown above.
- **Integration:**
`failing-sync-application-flat-entity-map-conflict.integration-spec.ts`
syncs a manifest whose two objects share a `universalIdentifier`
(collision during manifest map build, before validation) and snapshots
the GraphQL error response via
`expectOneNotInternalServerErrorSnapshot`.
- ⚠️ The integration `.snap` was authored from the identical
deterministic path (verified by the filter unit snapshot) because the
integration suite couldn't be executed in the authoring sandbox. Please
regenerate/confirm with `nx test:integration:with-db-reset` (or `-u`) in
a seeded env.

refactor(server): unify the two metadata override mechanisms into one (#22417)
## Unify the two metadata override mechanisms into one Twenty had **two** override mechanisms: - **`standardOverrides`** — a bespoke JSONB column on `objectMetadata`/`fieldMetadata` with typed DTOs and a per-locale `translations` map, resolved by two i18n-aware resolvers. - **`OverridableEntity.overrides`** — a flat, registry-driven JSONB blob on view / view-field / view-field-group / command-menu-item / page-layout-tab / page-layout-widget, resolved by a plain spread. This PR collapses them into **one** concept: a single `overrides` blob, one registry-driven overridable set, one i18n-aware read path, and one write path (`computeMetadataOverridesBlob`, extracted in #22404). Object/field **stay on `SyncableEntity`** (not reparented to `OverridableEntity`) so their `isActive` default stays **FALSE** — this sidesteps the `isActive` default conflict entirely. ### GraphQL breaking change (accepted) The `standardOverrides` field is **removed** with no deprecation alias — `overrides` (a `JSON` scalar) is exposed instead on `Object` and `Field`. Product confirmed negligible external usage; the front-end has no hand-written consumer (only generated types), which are regenerated here. ### Commit structure (reviewable commit-by-commit) 1. **Unified resolver + parity harness** — `resolveEffectiveEntityProperty` is a strict superset of the three legacy resolvers; a corpus parity spec compares it against a *frozen reference* of the old logic across every locale, `isStandardApp` branch and override shape. 2. **Registry-driven** — object/field presentation props tagged `isOverridable` + `translatable`; the overridable/translatable sets are derived from the registry (a test asserts they equal the legacy hardcoded lists). 3. **Rename + swap + delete** — `standardOverrides` → `overrides` across entities, DTOs, flat/universal types, producers, the ~12 resolve/write/create/sync call sites, mocks and specs; the reconciler's two compare entries collapse to one; the three legacy resolvers, both DTOs and the hardcoded constants/types are deleted. 4. **Migration (zero-downtime, two-phase)** — split across two releases so a rolling deploy never drops a column a previous-release pod still `SELECT`s: - **2.19 fast** — add the `overrides` column (schema only). - **2.19 slow** — backfill `overrides` from `standardOverrides` in `runDataMigration` (kept out of the schema transaction so the bulk write doesn't hold the ACCESS EXCLUSIVE lock; skipped on fresh installs, which have no data to copy). - **2.20 fast** — drop the legacy `standardOverrides` column (gated by `TWENTY_NEXT_VERSIONS`, so it stays dormant until the instance reaches 2.20). 5. **Front/client-SDK regen** — regenerated metadata GraphQL types. 6. **Integration specs + i18n** — updated the standard object/field update integration specs + snapshots, and the reworded validator message catalog entry. ### Rolling-deploy safety `standardOverrides` is retained through 2.19 and only dropped in 2.20, mirroring the codebase's deferred-drop convention (`isUIReadOnly`/`isCustom`). During the 2.19 rollout both columns exist, so old and new pods coexist without "column does not exist" errors. The backfill lives in a slow `runDataMigration` (per the `no-data-mutation-in-fast-instance-command` rule) so it doesn't stall reads. ### `isActive` guard The migration never reads or writes `isActive`; the backfill asserts the active-row count is unchanged and aborts otherwise. Verified on a real DB: apply + revert preserves the blob **and** the nested `translations` map, with `isActive` counts identical before/after. ### Verification (local) - `nx typecheck twenty-server` + `nx typecheck twenty-front` — green - `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` (oxlint `--type-aware` + oxfmt) — green - `nx test twenty-server` — green (unit + parity + registry + migration tests) - `nx run twenty-server:test:integration:with-db-reset` — green - `database:reset` applies the 2.19 phases and leaves **both** columns present (2.20 drop stays dormant); backfill + revert round-trip verified on a real DB - Metadata integration suites (standard object/field update, application sync) pass end-to-end against the two-column schema - Metadata GraphQL types regenerated against a booted server; zero `standardOverrides` references remain in application code (only the migration commands + the legacy schema baseline) --------- Co-authored-by: prastoin <paul@twenty.com> |

feat(shared): require defaultValue on non-nullable field manifests (#22419)
## Context Follow-up to #22362, which made `isNullable` manifest changes actually apply (including a nullable → non-nullable backfill). This models the `isNullable` / `defaultValue` relationship directly in the `FieldManifest` type. ## Rule - A **non-nullable** field (`isNullable: false`) must declare a `defaultValue`, so the column always has a value to fall back on (e.g. for the backfill on the nullable → non-nullable transition). - A **nullable** or **unspecified** field may omit `defaultValue`. ## Changes - Split `RegularFieldManifest` into a base shape plus a discriminated nullability union. The union keeps `isNullable` free once a `defaultValue` is supplied, so helpers that always provide one can still pass a dynamic `boolean` `isNullable`. - `defaultValue` keeps its rich per-type `FieldMetadataDefaultValue<T>` (POSITION → number, ACTOR → composite) rather than a bare `string`. - `RelationFieldManifest` is rebased on the shared base and keeps `isNullable` / `defaultValue` optional, since relation join columns are always nullable by design. - Narrowed `buildEstimateFieldManifest` in the manifest-update integration test to satisfy the stricter type. ## Verification Environment couldn't install the monorepo deps (registry connections aborting), so `nx typecheck` wasn't run here. Validated the union structure with standalone `tsc` synthetic tests mirroring every construction pattern in the codebase: - ✅ nullable/no-default, no-`isNullable`, non-nullable with string/number/composite defaults, dynamic-boolean-with-default, and the `DistributiveOmit` path into `ObjectFieldManifest` - ✅ non-nullable **without** a default is correctly rejected with a clear "defaultValue is missing but required" error Recommend a full `nx typecheck twenty-shared twenty-sdk twenty-server` in CI to confirm against full project resolution. https://claude.ai/code/session_01VnbrgBB3kNGP876qaKPYDL --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01VnbrgBB3kNGP876qaKPYDL)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22419?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Handle field isNullable update (#22362)
## Context Setting isNullable on a field via the app SDK manifest was silently ignored when re-syncing an existing field. The first sync that creates a field honored isNullable correctly, but any later manifest change to isNullable had no effect, neither on the field metadata nor on the underlying Postgres column. Two compounding gaps caused this: The diff never detected the change. isNullable was configured with toCompare: false, so compareTwoFlatEntity excluded it from the diff and no update action was ever generated. There was no DDL to apply it. Even if detected, the update field action handler only altered name, options, defaultValue, and settings. The column manager had no way to alter a column's NOT NULL constraint. ## Fix - Set isNullable.toCompare: true so manifest changes are detected and persisted to the field metadata (via the existing executeForMetadata path). - Add WorkspaceSchemaColumnManagerService.alterColumnNullable(): emits SET NOT NULL / DROP NOT NULL, with an optional pre-serialized backfill (UPDATE … WHERE col IS NULL) applied only on the nullable → non-nullable transition. - Add handleFieldNullableUpdate() to the update field action handler, dispatched after the defaultValue block so the default is in place before NOT NULL is enforced. It is composite-aware (mirrors the per-sub-column parentIsNullable || !property.isRequired rule used at column creation) and skips relation/morph join columns and TS_VECTOR, which are always nullable by design. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22362?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Deprecate asExpression from field metadata search_vector (#22287)
## Summary Fully deprecates the cached `asExpression` / `generatedType` settings on `TS_VECTOR` (searchVector) fields. Previously the generated-column expression was stored in `FieldMetadataSettings` and kept in sync via imperative recompute side-effects. It is now **derived at DDL time** from the `searchFieldMetadata` rows that describe which fields feed the search vector, making `searchFieldMetadata` the single source of truth and removing a whole class of cache-drift bugs. This is delivered across the milestones tracked in #2587 and coordinates with the frontend migration (#1428). ## Why - The searchVector expression lived in two places (stored `settings.asExpression` + the actual generated column), kept consistent by bespoke side-effects (`recompute-search-vector-on-field-rename`, label-identifier recompute, etc.). - The frontend reconstructed the searchable-fields list by **regex-parsing** the stored `asExpression`. - Both are brittle. Deriving the expression from `searchFieldMetadata` rows at build/run time removes the cache and the parsing. ## What changed ### Server - data model & derivation - Introduce the `tsVectorFieldMetadata` relation on `searchFieldMetadata` (`tsVectorFieldMetadataId` / universal identifier) linking each searchable-field row to its target `TS_VECTOR` field. - New runtime derivation `deriveSearchVectorAsExpressionForTsVectorField` (`flat-search-field-metadata/utils/...`) used by the create-object and update-field handlers to generate the column expression from `searchFieldMetadata` rows. - Remove `asExpression` / `generatedType` from stored settings: `FieldMetadataSettings.TS_VECTOR` is now `null`; the column builder (`generate-column-definitions.util.ts`) hardcodes `generatedType: 'STORED'` and requires the derived expression. - Delete the imperative recompute side-effects and the `compute-search-vector-universal-settings-from-object-manifest` path; drop the `settings` block from all 28 standard `compute-*-standard-flat-field-metadata` utils. ### Server - migration runner - New `rebuildSearchVector` marker on `update-field` actions: the orchestrator synthesizes targeted column rebuilds (`compute-search-vector-rebuild-target-universal-identifiers.util.ts` + the deprioritize aggregator) only when a searchFieldMetadata change or indexed-field rename actually requires it - instead of rebuilding on every settings touch. - Deferrable FKs + in-flight ID resolution so a `searchFieldMetadata` row and its `TS_VECTOR` field can be created in the same transaction (deterministic UUIDs). ### Frontend (contract change, #1428) - New `SearchFieldMetadataDTO` + dataloader exposing `searchFieldMetadataList` on object metadata. - `SettingsObjectSearchSection` now reads `objectMetadataItem.searchFieldMetadatas` instead of parsing `asExpression`; new `SearchFieldMetadataItem` type, fragment, and mapping updates. ### Upgrade commands (2.18) - `2-18-instance-command-fast-...-add-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-to-search-field-metadata` - `2-18-instance-command-fast-...-make-search-field-metadata-fks-deferrable` - `2-18-instance-command-slow-...-backfill-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-on-search-field-metadata` (These were relocated from 2.16 to 2.18 and re-timestamped into an ordered block - add column -> make FK deferrable -> backfill data - since 2.16/2.17 are released.) ### Tests - Updated search-vector side-effect integration specs to assert behavior (search works) rather than the now-removed `asExpression`; removed the obsolete expression-validation specs; refreshed the application-sync snapshot (`universalSettings: null`). ## Upgrade / compatibility notes - Existing workspaces keep their stored `settings` until a later cleanup; nothing reads it anymore. The new derivation drives all DDL going forward. - Schema changes are gated behind the 2.18 instance commands above. ## Known follow-up (separate PR) https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2620 - The column rebuild (`DROP`/`ADD` of the `searchVector` STORED column) cascade-drops its GIN index and does not recreate it - a pre-existing regression on `main` inherited here. A follow-up PR will fix the rebuild handler to recreate the GIN index and add a 2.18 workspace command to recompute every search vector + strip the deprecated settings. (Planned.) ## Test plan - [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` / `twenty-front` - [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` / `twenty-front` - [ ] Server integration: create/update/delete field, rename indexed field, update object - search returns expected records - [ ] Run the 2.18 instance commands on a seeded DB; verify `tsVectorFieldMetadataId` backfilled and FKs deferrable - [ ] Frontend: object Search settings tab lists the correct searchable fields (no `asExpression` parsing) close https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2587 <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22287?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

fix(server): allow moving menu items into a folder created in the same sync (#22130)
## Context Fixes [core-team-issues#2593](https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2593). When reorganizing navigation menu items by moving existing items into a **newly created folder** within a single deploy, the sync failed with `Parent navigation menu item not found`, forcing a two-step deploy (create the folder first, then move the items into it). ## Root cause Migration entities are validated in the fixed order **delete → update → create** (`workspace-entity-migration-builder.service.ts`). When items are moved into a new folder in one sync, the items are *updated* (adding `folderUniversalIdentifier`) while the folder is *created* — but the update phase runs before the create phase, so the folder isn't yet in the optimistic maps. The **creation** validator already handles "parent doesn't exist yet" by also checking `remainingFlatEntityMapsToValidate`. The **update** validator couldn't: `FlatEntityUpdateValidationArgs` explicitly omitted that field, so it only looked at the optimistic maps and threw. ## Changes - `universal-flat-entity-update-validation-args.type.ts` — stop omitting `remainingFlatEntityMapsToValidate` from the update args. - `workspace-entity-migration-builder.service.ts` — pass `createdFlatEntityMaps` (entities being created in the same migration) into update validation. - `flat-navigation-menu-item-validator.service.ts` — resolve the parent folder against both the optimistic maps and the to-be-created entities, mirroring the creation validator. - Integration test — sync an item, then in a second sync create a folder and move the item into it, asserting it succeeds in a single deploy. The change is generic and type-safe: all other update validators receive the new field and simply ignore it. `createdFlatEntityMaps` is `MetadataUniversalFlatEntityMaps<T>`, matching the field's type. ## Test plan - [x] Added integration test `should move existing menu items into a folder created in the same sync` - [ ] CI green https://claude.ai/code/session_017pmBkho9Fh6Vjv8WA4m9YE --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_017pmBkho9Fh6Vjv8WA4m9YE)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22130?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Factorize from entity to flat entity utils (#21972)
## What Factorizes the two responsibilities that were copy‑pasted across every `from-<entity>-entity-to-flat-<entity>` util into two reusable tools. ### `fromEntityToScalarEntity` Projects a TypeORM entity into its scalar flat shape using an **allow‑list** driven by `ALL_ENTITY_PROPERTIES_CONFIGURATION_BY_METADATA_NAME` (plus the base columns `id`/`workspaceId`/`applicationId`/`universalIdentifier`). Only registered scalar columns are forwarded, `Date`s are serialized to ISO strings, and absent values are normalized to `null`. Replaces the previous deny‑list (`removePropertiesFromRecord`) approach, so unregistered/deprecated columns can no longer silently leak into the flat entity. ### `resolveManyToOneRelationIdsToUniversalIdentifiers` Resolves an entity's many‑to‑one foreign keys to their universal identifiers, driven by `ALL_MANY_TO_ONE_METADATA_RELATIONS`. Handles the always‑present `application`, nullable relations, and throws a `FlatEntityMapsException` when a referenced id is missing from its identifier map. Mirrors `resolveUniversalRelationIdentifiersToIds` in the opposite direction. Each `from-<entity>` util now reduces to: scalar spread + relation spread (+ explicit one‑to‑many id/universalIdentifier arrays where applicable). ### Note The allow‑list drops `isUIReadOnly` (a `WasRemovedInUpgrade` column not in the config) from `fieldMetadata`, which is the only integration‑snapshot change. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21972?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

feat(sdk): declare row-level permission predicates in the role manifest (#21919)
## Why Apps can declare object and field permissions on a role via `defineRole`, but **not row-level security**. The RLS engine and the metadata-sync machinery already support predicates fully — they're first-class universal flat entities, the `FlatRole` already carries `rowLevelPermissionPredicateUniversalIdentifiers`, and the workspace-migration layer has builders/validators/handlers for them. The only gap was the **manifest layer**: `RoleManifest` had no field for predicates, so the sync converter always left them empty. As a result, the only way to ship RLS with an app was a post-install script that pushed predicates through the `upsertRowLevelPermissionPredicates` mutation. That mutation assigns predicates to the workspace's **generic custom application**, not the app that owns the role — so a single role's definition ends up split across two applications and drifts on every upgrade (you have to remember to re-run the script). The Partner app does exactly this today via `configure-partner-rls.ts`. ## What Adds `rowLevelPermissionPredicates` and `rowLevelPermissionPredicateGroups` to `RoleManifest` / `RoleConfig`, mirroring how `objectPermissions` / `fieldPermissions` already flow end-to-end: - **twenty-shared** — predicate + predicate-group manifest types on `RoleManifest` (referencing objects/fields by `universalIdentifier`, operand/logical-operator from the existing GraphQL enums). - **twenty-sdk** — `defineRole` accepts and validates them; the build derives deterministic predicate `universalIdentifier`s (groups keep an explicit one so predicates can reference them). - **twenty-server** — two converters turn manifest predicates/groups into universal flat entities during application-manifest sync, so they are created/updated/deleted together with the role and **owned by the app that ships it**. ### Bug fix found along the way The migration build order ran the `rowLevelPermissionPredicate(Group)` builders **before** the `role` builder, so a predicate declared alongside a brand-new role failed validation with `ROLE_NOT_FOUND`. They now run **after** the role builder, exactly like object/field permissions. ## Partner app (second commit) Converts `partner.role.ts` to declare its five predicates inline and **deletes `configure-partner-rls.ts`** + the `rls:configure` scripts — the workaround this PR is meant to retire. The predicates are byte-for-byte the same semantics as the script produced. > Live-deployment note: the existing script-created predicates are owned by the *custom* application, so the Partner app sync won't touch them. Clear them once (e.g. an empty upsert on the Partner role) around deploy to avoid duplicates. Kept as a **separate commit** so it can be split out if reviewers prefer. ## Testing - **Integration (full app):** new `successful-manifest-sync-row-level-permission-predicate.integration-spec.ts` — installs an app whose role declares a predicate and asserts the predicate row is created (and **owned by the app**, not the custom app), updated in place on re-sync, removed when dropped from the manifest, and removed on uninstall. Ran locally against a seeded test DB ✅. - Re-ran the existing cross-app permission + view-field manifest suites to confirm the build-order change doesn't regress object/field-permission sync (13/13 ✅). - **Unit (utils only):** `defineRole` validation and `fromRoleConfigToRoleManifest` deterministic-id derivation. - Docs: new "Row-level security" section in `apps/config/roles.mdx`. ## Scope notes / possible follow-ups - Surfacing RLS in the app-install permission summary UI was intentionally left out (predicates *restrict* rather than grant, and typically live on a non-default role) — easy follow-up if wanted. - The `upsertRowLevelPermissionPredicates` mutation still homes out-of-band predicates on the custom app for app-owned roles; making that consistent (or rejecting it, like field permissions already do) is a sensible follow-up. https://claude.ai/code/session_01MipAis9z9okd4oCm9HCKEf --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01MipAis9z9okd4oCm9HCKEf)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21919?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

fix(metadata): remove deprecated isCustom from Objects and Fields (#21799)
## Context Follow-up to #21228, which deprecated `isCustom` on object/field metadata but kept it exposed because the frontend still relied on it. This removes it from the GraphQL API and the frontend entirely. ## Implementation ### Server - Remove `isCustom` `@Field` from the `Object`, `Field`, and `MinimalObjectMetadata` GraphQL types - Remove the `isCustom` `@ResolveField` resolvers and the `isCustomLoader` dataloader (+ payload/interface) - Remove `isCustom` as an internal `@HideField()` on the Object/Field DTOs used by the i18n standard-override gate > Use an explicit isStandard instead (which is the correct gating) ### Frontend - Add `getIsMetadataItemCustom` helper + `useGetIsMetadataItemCustom` hook: an item is custom when `applicationId === currentWorkspace.workspaceCustomApplication.id` - Migrate all consumers off `objectMetadataItem.isCustom` / `fieldMetadataItem.isCustom`; `isRecordFieldReadOnly` now takes a precomputed `isFieldCustom` - Drop `isCustom` from the metadata fragment/mutations/minimal query, FE types, zod schemas, and mock generators; regenerate GraphQL types ## Notes - Breaking change on the (already-deprecated) `Object.isCustom` / `Field.isCustom` GraphQL fields and the `isCustom` filter - FE semantic is "belongs to the workspace custom app" (third-party-app objects/fields are treated as non-custom) - `isCustom` on IndexMetadata / View / Skill / Agent is a separate column and is untouched - Breaking changes on REST metadata API |

Provide custom workspace id while seeding (#21721)

feat(server): add isSystemSideEffect & merge createOneObject/createOneField side-effect migrations (#21673)
## Context When an object is created via the metadata API, `createOneObject` creates its side-effect entities (INDEX view + viewFields, indexes, navigation menu item, "go to" command menu item, record-page fields view, page layout/tabs/widgets) across **three separate `validateBuildAndRunWorkspaceMigration` calls**, purely because the protection behavior (mutations → overrides, delete → deactivate, reset → reactivate) was keyed on *"owned by the standard app"*, forcing the side effects into batches with different application owners. This misrepresents ownership and breaks atomicity. This PR separates two orthogonal concepts: - **Ownership** (`applicationId`), the true owner: the caller's application (the workspace custom app today, 3rd-party apps later). - **Protection** (`isSystemSideEffect`), the row was generated by the system, so user mutations route to overrides, deletion becomes deactivation, and reset restores defaults. Once side effects are re-owned to the caller, the old `applicationId === standardApp` check can no longer tell an original side-effect row from a user-added one so a dedicated `isSystemSideEffect` flag carries the protection instead. This is **PR 1 of 2** (forward-only). It makes newly created objects and fields correct; existing workspaces are handled by a follow-up backfill (see *Out of scope*). ## What this PR does - **`isSystemSideEffect` column** on the 8 affected entities (`view`, `viewField`, `indexMetadata`, `commandMenuItem`, `pageLayout`, `pageLayoutTab`, `pageLayoutWidget`, `fieldMetadata`), with `@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` + an entry in the flat-entity property configuration (`toCompare: true`, read-only). - **Single atomic migration in `createOneObject`**: the three `validateBuildAndRunWorkspaceMigration` calls are merged into one, owned by the caller (`resolvedOwnerFlatApplication`) and the record-page view/fields, page layout, and navigation command item are re-owned to the caller and flagged `isSystemSideEffect: true`. `buildNavigationFlatCommandMenuItem` is parameterized with `applicationUniversalIdentifier` (no longer hardcoded to the standard app). - **Field-creation side effects** (`createManyFields`/`createOneField` already run as a single caller-owned migration, so no re-ownership/merge was needed): the auto-created viewField is flagged `isSystemSideEffect: true`, and a new field now also propagates to the object's **INDEX/table view** (added there as a **hidden** column, `isVisible: false`) in addition to the record-page FIELDS widget. The INDEX view is targeted directly by `key = INDEX` (it is not a page-layout widget), de-duplicated per `(viewId, fieldMetadataUniversalIdentifier)` to respect the per-view unique index. The unique-field index is likewise flagged the inverse relation field stays unflagged (`isSystem: false`). - **Protection predicate** extended: `isCallerOverridingEntity` and the removal/reset split strategies now treat `isSystemSideEffect` rows as protected even when caller-owned (route to overrides / deactivate / reset) and the page-layout-reset guards allow resetting flagged entities. - **Standard compute maps** set the flag consistently so a re-sync produces no diff (standard-object side effects stay `false`; per-object nav command items and custom-object base fields are `true`). - **Read-only GraphQL exposure** of `isSystemSideEffect` on the view / view-field / page-layout / tab / widget / command-menu-item DTOs (not exposed on create/update inputs). => Todo: needs to take this new flag into account. This is fine for now because isSystem remains on object/field. - **Fast instance command** (`2-14`) adding the 8 columns (`NOT NULL DEFAULT false`). ## Scope decisions - **`pageLayout` is not an `OverridableEntity`**, its own row has nothing user-overridable (all customization lives on tabs/widgets). It's dual-purpose (`RECORD_PAGE` side-effect vs. user `DASHBOARD`), so it gets `isSystemSideEffect` for protection only, no `overrides` jsonb. - **`navigationMenuItem` is out of scope.**: Those are side effects only for the metadata API and not marked as "system" (they can be deleted/updated etc...) - **`viewFieldGroup` is not a side effect**, it's only created via the explicit view-field-group API, never by object/field creation, so it gets no flag. ## Out of scope (follow-ups) **PR 2** — slow per-workspace backfill (re-own + flag existing side effects, recreate missing ones) and deterministic v5 identifiers for base fields / pageLayout / tab. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21673?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

feat(deps): migrate frontend to React 19 (#21531)
## What Migrates the frontend stack from **React 18.3 → 19.2**. The website, sdk, companion and emails packages were already on React 19; this brings the remaining holdouts (`twenty-front`, `twenty-ui`, `twenty-ui-deprecated`, `twenty-front-component-renderer`) and `twenty-server`'s email rendering onto 19, and pins a single React version repo-wide. ## Why React 18.x is now the legacy line. Staying current keeps us on the patched/maintained branch and unblocks downstream library majors (react-router 7, mantine 9, etc.) that require React 19 peers. ## Dependency bumps (required by React 19 peers / removed APIs) | Package | From | To | Reason | |---|---|---|---| | react / react-dom | 18.3.1 | 19.2.3 | core | | @hello-pangea/dnd | 16 | 18 | peer `^18 \|\| ^19` | | react-datepicker | 6 | 9 | v<7 used removed `findDOMNode`; drops `@types/react-datepicker` | | react-data-grid | beta.13 | beta.59 | peer `^19.2`; new render API | | graphiql (+ @graphiql/react, plugin-explorer) | 3 / 0.23 / 1 | 5 / 0.37 / 5.1 | peer `^18 \|\| ^19` | | react-helmet-async | 1.3 | **@dr.pogodin/react-helmet** 3.2 | upstream caps peer at `^18`; drop-in React 19 fork | A `resolutions` pin enforces a single React (19.2.3) + `@types/react` (19.2.14) across the monorepo to avoid duplicate copies / type-identity splits. Versions are the aged lockfile patches (clears the `npmMinimalAgeGate`). ## Code changes - **Global `JSX` shim** (`react-jsx-global.d.ts` per package): React 19 moved the `JSX` namespace under `React.JSX`; several deps' published types (notably `@linaria/react`'s `styled.d.ts`, which types every `styled.x` via `keyof JSX.IntrinsicElements`) still reference the global namespace. Without the shim, every styled component degrades to `any` props. - **Ref nullability**: `useRef<T>(null)` now returns `RefObject<T | null>`; widened consumer prop/hook ref types accordingly (incl. the shared `useListenClickOutside`). - **react-datepicker v9**: `onChange`/`onSelect` accept `Date | null`, `calendarStartDay` typing, `ReactDatePickerProps`→`DatePickerProps`, relaxed the dynamic `selectsMultiple` discriminated union. - **react-data-grid beta.59**: `formatter`→`renderCell`, `editor`→`renderEditCell`, `headerRenderer`→`renderHeaderCell`, `components`→`renderers`, `onRowClick`→`onCellClick`, object-shaped `useRowSelection`, Set-based selection. - **dnd style cast**: `@radix-ui/react-popper` augments `CSSProperties` with a `--radix-*` index signature that dnd's closed `DraggingStyle` doesn't satisfy → cast at the spread. ## Status / testing - ✅ `typecheck` green: twenty-front, twenty-ui, twenty-ui-deprecated, twenty-front-component-renderer, twenty-server - ⏳ build / lint / unit tests / storybook+argos / runtime smoke-test in progress Draft until local + CI verification completes. Notable behavior to QA manually: spreadsheet import (data-grid), date pickers, drag-and-drop boards/lists, GraphQL playground, page titles/favicon. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21531?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Rename isUIReadOnly to isUIEditable, add isUICreatable, expose both to app developers (#21504)
<!-- CURSOR_AGENT_PR_BODY_BEGIN -->
# UI capability flags: `isUIEditable` + `isUICreatable`
## Per-verb capability model
This PR replaces the negative `isUIReadOnly` metadata flag with
positive, per-verb capability flags (à la Salesforce
`createable`/`updateable`):
- **`isUIEditable: boolean`, default `true`** — rename of `isUIReadOnly`
with inverted polarity, on **both** `objectMetadata` and
`fieldMetadata`. It is one concept ("can the user edit this through the
generic UI?") at two altitudes, so it carries one name at both levels.
- **`isUICreatable: boolean`, default `true`** — new, **object-level
only** (fields have no create verb). When `false`, no generic UI
affordance to create a record of this object appears anywhere (table "+"
buttons, board column add, calendar add, relation-section "Add new",
record picker "Add new", command-menu create action and its keyboard
shortcut).
Both flags are **UI-affordance flags only**: the server does not block
create/edit mutations based on them, so the system, API, and workflows
continue to mutate these records freely. They are orthogonal statements
about the object's nature with no implication rule in the data model.
Because today's inline creation UX creates a blank record the user must
then edit, the frontend create predicate currently requires both
`isUICreatable` and effective editability.
There is no CREATE permission in `ObjectPermissions`; the frontend keeps
gating creation on `canUpdateObjectRecords` as a proxy, ANDed with the
new flags.
## Unified create predicate
All generic creation entry points now flow through one predicate,
`canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem` (`isUICreatable` && not
`isSystem` && not effectively read-only, where effective read-only
covers `isUIEditable`, `isRemote`, and the `canUpdateObjectRecords`
proxy via `isObjectMetadataReadOnly`). This deletes the previously
hardcoded suppression lists:
- `isRecordTableCreateDisabled.ts` and its hardcoded
`WorkflowRun`/`WorkflowVersion` list — deleted; those objects (plus
`workspaceMember`) now declare `isUICreatable: false` in the standard
application instead.
- The hardcoded `workspaceMember` guard inside
`useAddNewRecordAndOpenSidePanel.ts` — deleted.
- The `CREATE_NEW_RECORD` command menu item's availability expression
now checks `objectMetadataItem.isUICreatable`, `isUIEditable`,
`isSystem`, and `isRemote`; a workspace upgrade command re-syncs the
expression in existing workspaces.
Component-local conditions (soft-delete filter active, layout
customization mode) stay in their components.
## GraphQL compatibility and removal plan
The schema delta versus main is **purely additive plus deprecations —
zero breaking changes**:
- `isUIReadOnly` remains on both the ObjectMetadata and FieldMetadata
GraphQL output types for **one release** as a deprecated field computed
as `!isUIEditable` (`deprecationReason: 'Use isUIEditable'`). The Twenty
frontend no longer queries it.
- `isUIReadOnly` also remains on the **input side** for one release
(`CreateFieldInput`, `UpdateFieldInput`, `FieldFilter`, `ObjectFilter`),
keeping the schema shape identical to main for those members. On create
it acts as a legacy alias mapped to `!isUIReadOnly` (`isUIEditable` wins
when both are provided); on update it is ignored, exactly as on main (it
was never an editable property). Filtering on the deprecated member
keeps working until the column is dropped at upgrade time; after that it
is a deprecated no-op surface kept only for schema compatibility.
**Removal plan for next release: drop `isUIReadOnly` from the output
DTOs (and resolvers' `@ResolveField`s), from the input/filter types,
from the create-input mapping, and the `@WasRemovedInUpgrade`-retained
entity columns and decorators.**
## ⚠️ Webhook / database-event payload shape change
The `database-event-payload` type in `twenty-shared` got a clean rename
(no alias): metadata snapshots in webhook and database-event payloads
now carry `isUIEditable` (and `isUICreatable` at object level) **instead
of** `isUIReadOnly`, with inverted polarity. Consumers of these payloads
that read `isUIReadOnly` must switch to `isUIEditable`.
## New manifest properties (app-developer DX)
Application developers can now set these flags in their app manifests
(purely additive — existing manifests and older `twenty-sdk` versions
are unaffected, defaults apply when omitted):
- `objects[].isUICreatable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `objects[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `fields[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)
The manifest converters previously hardcoded `isUIReadOnly: false`; they
now read the manifest values with `?? true` defaults. The types are
re-exported through `twenty-sdk` from `twenty-shared`.
## Migration & backfill
- One fast instance command: adds `isUIEditable` (NOT NULL default
`true`) on `core."objectMetadata"` and `core."fieldMetadata"`, backfills
`isUIEditable = false` exactly where `isUIReadOnly = true`, drops
`isUIReadOnly`, and adds `isUICreatable` (default `true`) on
`objectMetadata`. The `down` is the exact inverse. Uses `ADD/DROP COLUMN
IF (NOT) EXISTS`, matching the 2-12 drop-`isCustom` precedent. Verified
up and down in separate transactions against a dev database with exact
backfill counts.
- **Cross-version upgrade safety (multi-version self-hosted jumps):**
the upgrade sequence interleaves per version (instance → workspace
commands), so pre-2.13 workspace commands run **before** the 2.13 rename
when an old instance jumps several versions. Following the `isCustom`
precedent: `isUIEditable`/`isUICreatable` are marked
`@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` and `isUIReadOnly` stays on both entities as
`@WasRemovedInUpgrade`, so the upgrade-aware entity metadata adapter
hides the not-yet-existing columns (and keeps the legacy column live) at
pre-2.13 cursors. **No committed upgrade command outside the 2-13
directory is modified**: the old 1-21/2-8/2-9 commands keep their
original `isUIReadOnly: true` inputs, which still compile (entity
property retained, deprecated create-input alias mapped) and still
produce the correct legacy column writes pre-rename.
- A 2-13 workspace command (`sync-standard-ui-capability-flags`)
re-syncs `isUICreatable` **and** `isUIEditable` on standard objects and
`isUIEditable` on standard fields from the standard-application
definitions. This backfills `isUICreatable: false` on
`workflowRun`/`workflowVersion`/`workspaceMember` and heals fields
created mid-cross-upgrade by pre-2.13 commands (whose hidden
`isUIEditable` value cannot reach the insert). Both 2-13 sync commands
pass `isSystemBuild: true` — the flat metadata validator otherwise
rejects direct updates to system objects (verified against a
deliberately drifted dev database; the run is idempotent).
- A second 2-13 workspace command re-syncs the create-record command
availability expression.
## Testing
- Unit tests for `canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem`
(flag/permission/system combinations) and for the manifest converters
(flags set / omitted → defaults).
- Full `upgrade --dry-run` boots the sequence (107 steps) and validates
the upgrade-aware decorator references; both 2-13 sync commands verified
end to end against real drift and re-run idempotently.
- Schema verified by live introspection after the input-alias restore:
all four input/filter members match main, output deprecations intact;
frontend metadata types and `twenty-client-sdk` schema regenerated from
the running server.
- Read-only-related and touched jest suites pass on both packages;
typecheck and lint pass on `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`.

isCustom deprecation for Objects and Fields (#21228)
## Context
`isCustom` was a legacy denormalized boolean on `ObjectMetadataEntity`
and `FieldMetadataEntity`.
Now that every metadata row carries `applicationId` (via
`SyncableEntity`), "is this custom" is fully derivable, and the stored
boolean was a redundant second source of truth that could drift.
The real meaning of `isCustom` is **"the owning application is not the
twenty-standard application"** — i.e. `!belongsToTwentyStandardApp`.
Note this is *not* "belongs to the workspace custom app" as I initially
thought: third-party-application
objects/fields are custom too.
The standard application has a globally stable `universalIdentifier`, so
the value derives with no per-workspace lookup.
## Changed

chore(twenty-server): temporary instrumentation for app-install 504 (#21365)
## Why App installs on cloud intermittently fail with a 504, surfacing in Sentry as `Migration action 'update' for 'logicFunction' failed` + `Failed to rollback transaction: Query runner already released`. This is **temporary instrumentation** to pin down where the time goes — to be reverted once the bottleneck is fixed. Everything is greppable via `[install-perf]` and marked `// TODO(install-perf)`. ## What the local repro already told us I instrumented the manifest-sync/migration path and ran a local harness (new skipped spec) installing **1 / 8 / 30 logic functions**, for both create and the checksum-bump **update** (the incident path): | stage (N=30, update) | ms | |---|---| | flat-maps recompute | ~1 | | build migration | ~11 | | transaction (all actions + commit) | ~79 | | post-commit cache invalidate | ~6 | | **full sync** | **~135** | Nothing approached 1s, let alone 10s; no slow queries logged. So the migration/cache code is **not** the algorithmic cause. Given the in-transaction `UPDATE ... WHERE id=?` is intrinsically fast, a >10s in prod almost certainly means it was **blocked on a lock**, and the 10s node-pg `query_timeout` (`core.datasource.ts`) then killed the connection → the observed errors + 504. Local can't reproduce prod lock contention / table sizes, hence this instrumentation. ## What this adds (all `TODO`-marked) - **hrtime per-stage timing** — flat-maps recompute, build vs run, per-action (`>50ms`), transaction summary, post-commit cache invalidation. Uses `process.hrtime` because the integration harness enables fake timers (so `Date.now()` is useless there). - **`maxQueryExecutionTime`** slow-query logging on the core datasource (logs the offending SQL). - **Scoped `SET LOCAL lock_timeout = '8s'`** on the migration transaction (below the 10s `query_timeout`) → a blocked action fails fast with a clear *"canceling statement due to lock timeout"* instead of the opaque connection kill. - **Best-effort `pg_stat_activity` snapshot on failure** (on a fresh pooled connection) to identify the blocking session, plus a **guarded rollback** so a released connection stops masking the real error. - **Skipped local perf harness** (`logic-function-install-performance.integration-spec.ts`) — run manually with `nx test:integration:with-db-reset -- --testPathPattern "logic-function-install-performance"`. ## How we'll use it Deploy, reproduce the failing install, and read the `[install-perf]` logs: the per-action timing names the action, the `lock_timeout` message + `pg_stat_activity` snapshot name the **blocking** query/PID. Then revert this PR and fix the actual contention. Typecheck (`nx typecheck twenty-server`) is clean. |

feat(app-dev): sync error hints, flatEntity labels, dev-mode summary UI, and docs (#21252)
Split out of #21240 — all remaining app-dev improvements. Stacked on #21251 (review/merge that first). - Actionable recovery hints on failed syncs; unified diff renderer; `--dry-run` guard. - Return `flatEntity` on update/delete sync actions and unify the diff label. - Summarize the dev-mode entity list unless `--verbose`. - Docs: syncing & recovery guide + dry-run + open-an-issue prompt. - Live execution mode for synced logic functions; clearer manifest warnings. <img width="1018" height="700" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5e9ce19e-0f1d-4f99-8524-4e118bde932b" /> |

fix(metadata): resolve junction targets order-independently during mgration (#21193)
A junction relation points at a target field on the join object that another action may create later (two junctions into the same join reference each other). The builder validator now also looks up the target in the to be created set, and the runner mints every field id up front so the target resolves regardless of action order, the same way relation pairs are already handled. --------- Co-authored-by: Félix Malfait <felix@twenty.com> |

feat: allow apps to add view fields to existing views (defineViewField) (#21160)
## Summary
Lets a Twenty application add **view fields (columns) to an existing
view it does not own** — including standard views like the People index
view — without redeclaring/owning that view. This mirrors the existing,
working pattern by which an app adds a custom field to a standard object
via `defineField` + `objectUniversalIdentifier`.
The asymmetry being removed was purely in the manifest schema:
`ViewFieldManifest` only existed *nested* inside
`ViewManifest.fields[]`, so adding a view field forced declaring a
`ViewManifest` — which the sync treats as a view the app creates and
owns, and rejects when the UID is a standard view's. Validation,
persistence, the FK aggregator machinery, and uninstall cleanup were
already generic and cross-app-safe, so no engine changes were needed.
### Changes
- **twenty-shared:** new top-level `StandaloneViewFieldManifest`
(`ViewFieldManifest & { viewUniversalIdentifier }`),
`Manifest.viewFields`, and a `SyncableEntity.ViewField` member.
- **twenty-sdk:** `defineViewField` (validates `universalIdentifier` +
`viewUniversalIdentifier` + `fieldMetadataUniversalIdentifier`), CLI
manifest assembly of a top-level `viewFields` list, and `dev:add
viewField` scaffolding.
- **twenty-server:** one top-level loop over `manifest.viewFields` that
reuses the existing `fromViewFieldManifestToUniversalFlatViewField`
converter (already parameterized by `viewUniversalIdentifier`). No
validator/persistence/aggregator changes.
### Notes for maintainers
- Confirm the `Manifest.viewFields` optionality convention — implemented
as a **required** array to mirror `fields`/`views`.
- Two different apps adding a column for the same field to the same view
conflicts on the existing unique `(fieldMetadataId, viewId)` partial
index; the existing `flat-view-field-validator` duplicate check surfaces
this as a structured validation error.
- `dev:add viewField` scaffolding is included (was optional in the
plan).
## Test Plan
- [x] `twenty-shared` typecheck
- [x] `twenty-sdk` 364 unit tests + `buildManifest` assembly test
(rich-app fixture) + typecheck + prettier
- [x] `twenty-server` typecheck + `lint:diff-with-main`
- [x] **Server integration suite**
`successful-manifest-update-view-field.integration-spec.ts` (4/4):
- standalone view field attaches to the standard `allPeople` view
without recreating it (sync succeeds, no
`INVALID_VIEW_DATA`/`ENTITY_ALREADY_EXISTS`)
- uninstall removes the contributed column while the standard view + its
columns remain intact
- duplicate `(view, field)` rejected with `METADATA_VALIDATION_FAILED`
- unknown target view rejected
- [x] Sibling `successful-manifest-update-field.integration-spec.ts`
still green (no harness regression)

Fix getApplicationSubAllFlatEntityMaps to prune unrelated appIds universal identifier aggregators (#21234)
# Introduction Atm when computing the `fromAllFlatEntityMaps` we're retrieving all the applicationIds related metadata entities to build a flat entity maps scoped to them ( atm always the applicationId + twenty-standard application id ) only inter app dependency we manage for the moment A flat entity contains universal identifier aggregator to its related entities The issue was that the `getApplicationSubAllFlatEntityMaps` wasn't pruning the aggregator by app Now added a new process phase after the initial one that will check that all the aggregators contains universal identifiers that has been retrieve from the appId + appId standard intersection ## TDD test Created a very human readable ( that's a joke ) test |

Add definePermissionFlag for app-defined permission flags (#20887)
## Context
Adds the SDK plumbing for apps to declare custom permission flags and
the server-side manifest pipeline to persist them.
```typescript
import { definePermissionFlag } from 'twenty-sdk/define';
export const MANAGE_INVOICES_PERMISSION_FLAG_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER = '…';
export default definePermissionFlag({
universalIdentifier: MANAGE_INVOICES_PERMISSION_FLAG_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER,
key: 'MANAGE_INVOICES',
label: 'Manage Invoices',
description: 'Create, edit, and delete invoices',
icon: 'IconReceipt',
});
```
```typescript
import { defineApplicationRole, SystemPermissionFlag } from 'twenty-sdk/define';
import { MANAGE_INVOICES_PERMISSION_FLAG_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER } from './permission-flags/manage-invoices';
export default defineApplicationRole({
universalIdentifier: DEFAULT_ROLE_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER,
label: `${APP_DISPLAY_NAME} default function role`,
// ...
permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers: [
SystemPermissionFlag.UPLOAD_FILE,
MANAGE_INVOICES_PERMISSION_FLAG_UNIVERSAL_IDENTIFIER,
],
});
```
The flag can then be referenced by UUID in a role's
permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers. On sync, the catalog row lands in
core.permissionFlag and the link in core.rolePermissionFlag.
## Not in this PR
- Runtime permission checks.
PermissionsService.getUserWorkspacePermissions still builds its result
from Object.values(PermissionFlagType), so custom flags are stored but
not yet enforced, code asking "does this role have MANAGE_INVOICES?"
won't get a meaningful answer. Widening PermissionsService and
UserWorkspacePermissions.permissionFlags to support arbitrary flag keys
is the next PR.
- PermissionFlag from apps can only define "tool" permissions and not
"settings" as a permissionType, this parameter is not mutable. This is
because "settings" are for settings page (until we might decide to
separate both type of permissions into 2 different entities) and apps
can't declare settings page or interact with them so this parameter
would be unnecessary.

FileStorageService Dedicated file and folder code flow + integrity check (#20831)
# Introduction
Next handling mimetype integrity check and checksum integrity check for
s3 storage type
Always expecting a trailing end slash when deleting a folder etc
## Application
Uninstalling an application now deletes all its related files
## File storage service
Making a distincton between folder path and file path
## Validation Pipeline
Every file operation in `FileStorageService.buildOnStoragePath` runs
through `validateResourcePath`, which chains three validators in order:
**1. `validateSafeRelativePath`** -- rejects path traversal attacks
| Input | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|
| `../../../etc/passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must not contain
path traversal (..)` |
| `/etc/passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must be relative, not
absolute` |
| `file\0.txt` | Rejected | `Resource path contains null bytes` |
| `..\\..\\etc\\passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must not contain
backslashes` |
| _(empty)_ | Rejected | `Resource path must not be empty` |
**2. `validateFilenameIntegrity`** -- enforces safe characters, length
limits, extension required
| Input | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|
| `my folder/file.mjs` | Rejected | `A path segment contains invalid
characters...` |
| `Makefile` | Rejected | `Filename must have an extension` |
| `aaa...(256 chars).mjs` | Rejected | `A path segment exceeds the
maximum length of 255 characters` |
| `a/b/.../file.mjs` (1025+ chars) | Rejected | `Resource path exceeds
maximum length of 1024 characters` |
| `src/handlers/index.mjs` | Accepted | -- |
| `my-app/my_file.tsx` | Accepted | -- |
| `v1.0/module.config.mjs` | Accepted | -- |
Allowed characters per segment: `a-z`, `A-Z`, `0-9`, `.`, `-`, `_`
**3. `validateResourceExtension`** -- checks extension against the
`FileFolder` allowlist
| Input | FileFolder | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|---|
| `handler.js` | `BuiltLogicFunction` | Rejected | `Invalid file
extension. Allowed extensions: .mjs` |
| `card.tsx` | `BuiltFrontComponent` | Rejected | `Invalid file
extension. Allowed extensions: .mjs` |
| `script.js` | `PublicAsset` | Rejected | `Invalid file extension.
Allowed extensions: .png, .jpg, ...` |
| `index.mjs` | `BuiltLogicFunction` | Accepted | -- |
| `app.tsx` | `Source` | Accepted | -- |
| `photo.png` | `CorePicture` | Accepted | -- (unconfigured folder,
passes through) |
## Consumers
- **`FileStorageService`** -- calls `validateResourcePath`, throws
`FileStorageException` on failure (last-resort defense)
- **Resolver (`uploadApplicationFile`)** -- calls
`validateResourcePath`, throws `ApplicationException` on failure
(user-facing)
- **Flat validators** -- call `validateResourcePath`, push the error to
`validationResult.errors` (non-throwing, collects all errors)
All error messages are translated via Lingui `t` and returned in a
discriminated union `{ isValid: true } | { isValid: false, error: string
}`, letting each consumer decide how to handle failures.

[Breaking change] Prepare non-system permission flags (#20847)
# Summary Replaces the enum-keyed `permissionFlags: PermissionFlag[]` on roles with `permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers: string[]` This unlocks mixing system flags (`SystemPermissionFlag.*`) with app-defined flags in a role config. This is a breaking change. Existing app source must switch to the new field. # Breaking changes - `RoleManifest.permissionFlags` removed. Use `RoleManifest.permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers: string[]`. - `RoleConfig.permissionFlags` removed (was `PermissionFlagType[]`). Use `RoleConfig.permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers: string[]`. - `PermissionFlagManifest` type removed from `twenty-shared/application`. - `PermissionFlag` re-export removed from `twenty-sdk/define`. `SystemPermissionFlag` is re-exported in its place. - Retargeting a permission flag between roles is now classified as delete + create instead of update ### Not in this PR - definePermissionFlag SDK function and top-level Manifest.permissionFlags catalog (apps defining their own custom flags). Until those land, permissionFlagUniversalIdentifiers only accepts SystemPermissionFlag.* UUIDs; arbitrary UUIDs fail validation. |

[1/3] Rename permissionFlag to rolePermissionFlag + add permissionFlag catalog/backfill (#20481)
Split of #20377. ## Summary This PR separates available permission flags from per-role permission flag grants. Previously, `core.permissionFlag` stored the role assignment directly: `roleId + flag`. This PR renames that legacy grant table to `core.rolePermissionFlag`, then recreates `core.permissionFlag` as the catalog of available permission flags. ## What changed - Rename the existing `core.permissionFlag` grant table to `core.rolePermissionFlag`. - Add the new syncable `core.permissionFlag` catalog entity with key, label, description, icon, permission type, relevance flags, and custom/standard metadata. - Add stable `SystemPermissionFlag` universal identifiers for the built-in `PermissionFlagType` values. - Seed the standard permission flags for every workspace under the Twenty standard application. - Backfill existing role grants: - create missing catalog rows for existing grant keys, - add `rolePermissionFlag.permissionFlagId`, - migrate grants from the old string `flag` column to the new catalog FK, - replace the old `(flag, roleId)` uniqueness with `(permissionFlagId, roleId)`. - Rewire role permission flag caches, permission checks, role DTO mapping, and `upsertPermissionFlags` to resolve through the catalog. - Keep the existing public role permission API shape: product/app surfaces still talk about `permissionFlags` and return `{ id, roleId, flag }`. - Update metadata flat-entity machinery, migration builders, validators, action handlers, snapshots, generated schemas, docs, and app fixtures for the new `permissionFlag` / `rolePermissionFlag` split. ## Behavior after this PR - Existing permission flag grants keep working. - Existing GraphQL role permission flows keep the same public naming. - Standard permission flags are represented as catalog rows. - Permission checks now compare grants through catalog universal identifiers instead of the legacy `flag` column. - Workspace deletion cleanup now verifies both `permissionFlag` and `rolePermissionFlag`. ## What is not in this PR - Public GraphQL CRUD for custom permission flags. - App manifest support for declaring new custom permission flags. - Frontend UI for creating or assigning custom permission flags beyond the existing role permission flow. --------- Co-authored-by: Weiko <corentin@twenty.com> |

fix(server): normalize composite defaultValues in manifest converter (unblock app re-install on 2.5-normalized workspaces) (#20615)
## Context The runtime create-field path and the v2.5 `NormalizeCompositeFieldDefaultsCommand` workspace upgrade both run composite `defaultValue`s through `nullifyEmptyCompositeDefaultValue`. The manifest install/sync path was the only write path that skipped it: [`fromFieldManifestToUniversalFlatFieldMetadata`](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-server/src/engine/core-modules/application/application-manifest/converters/from-field-manifest-to-universal-flat-field-metadata.util.ts) passed `fieldManifest.defaultValue` through verbatim. For the SDK-emitted ACTOR system fields (`createdBy` / `updatedBy`), `twenty-sdk` ships `{ name: "''", source: "'MANUAL'" }`. After the runtime or the 2.5 normalize command stores them, the workspace row holds the canonical four-key form `{ context: null, name: null, source: "'MANUAL'", workspaceMemberId: null }`. The next install computes its TO map from the manifest, still gets the raw two-key shape, and diffs it against the normalized FROM. The dispatcher emits a `defaultValue` update on each system actor field; the flat-field-metadata validator rejects it with `FIELD_MUTATION_NOT_ALLOWED`, blocking every re-install of any application that defines a custom object on a v2.5-normalized workspace. ## Fix Normalize composite `defaultValue`s inside the converter, reusing the same `nullifyEmptyCompositeDefaultValue` helper the three other write paths already share: - [`get-default-flat-field-metadata-from-create-field-input.util.ts`](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-field-metadata/utils/get-default-flat-field-metadata-from-create-field-input.util.ts) — `createOneObject` and `createOneField` GraphQL paths. - [`sanitize-raw-update-field-input.ts`](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-server/src/engine/metadata-modules/flat-field-metadata/utils/sanitize-raw-update-field-input.ts) — `updateOneField` GraphQL path. - [`2-5-workspace-command-1778000001000-normalize-composite-field-defaults.command.ts`](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/blob/main/packages/twenty-server/src/database/commands/upgrade-version-command/2-5/2-5-workspace-command-1778000001000-normalize-composite-field-defaults.command.ts) — the upgrade backfill that introduced the divergence. After the fix, the four write paths agree on the canonical shape, so re-installs are no-ops on system actor fields regardless of when the 2.5 normalize command ran. Non-composite types pass through unchanged. ## Test New spec `from-field-manifest-to-universal-flat-field-metadata.util.spec.ts` covers: - Empty-name actor defaults are normalized to the four-key canonical shape. - The converter is idempotent: feeding its own output back in produces the same result (so two consecutive syncs of the same manifest never emit a `defaultValue` update). - When the manifest omits `defaultValue`, the converter falls back to `generateDefaultValue` and normalizes the result. - Non-composite defaults pass through unchanged. ``` PASS src/engine/core-modules/application/application-manifest/converters/__tests__/from-field-manifest-to-universal-flat-field-metadata.util.spec.ts fromFieldManifestToUniversalFlatFieldMetadata composite defaultValue normalization ✓ normalizes empty-name actor defaults to the canonical four-key shape ✓ is idempotent: re-running the converter on its own output yields the same defaultValue ✓ falls back to the generated default and normalizes it when defaultValue is omitted ✓ leaves non-composite defaults untouched Tests: 4 passed ``` ## CI gap that let this through The integration suites covering manifest install (`appDevOnce` against the test workspace) never re-installed an existing app on a workspace whose composite fields had already been put through the 2.5 normalize command. They synced once, then ran assertions on the resulting state; the second sync that would have re-triggered the `defaultValue` diff was never exercised. If we want to catch this class of regression at the integration level too, we'd add a test that (1) syncs an app whose manifest includes an ACTOR system field with the raw SDK shape, (2) invokes `NormalizeCompositeFieldDefaultsCommand` directly on the test workspace, (3) re-syncs the same manifest, and (4) asserts no `FIELD_MUTATION_NOT_ALLOWED` errors. The unit-level idempotency check in this PR is the minimal version of that same coverage. Happy to ship that integration spec in a follow-up if it'd help. |

feat(sdk): add defineCommandMenuItem (#20256)
## Summary - Add `defineCommandMenuItem` and `definePageLayoutWidget` as standalone SDK defines, mirroring the existing `definePageLayoutTab` pattern. Both entities can still be declared nested inside their parent (`defineFrontComponent.command` / `definePageLayout.tabs[].widgets[]`). - Add `CommandMenuItem` and `PageLayoutWidget` to the `SyncableEntity` enum and the dev-mode UI labels. - Wire the SDK manifest-build to extract the two new defines into top-level `commandMenuItems` / `pageLayoutWidgets` arrays on the manifest, and the server aggregator to consume them through the existing flat-entity converters. - On the server, expose `Application.commandMenuItems` (relation + DTO + service hydration in `findOneApplication`). - On the front, list command menu items in the application content tab and add a dedicated detail page with a settings tab, mirroring how `frontComponents` are surfaced. - Add `twenty add` templates and Vitest unit tests for both new defines. - Document the standalone-vs-nested pattern in `packages/twenty-sdk/README.md`. ### Why Until now, command menu items could only be declared as the nested `command:` field on `defineFrontComponent` — there was no way to register a command menu item from a separate file or from another package. The `SyncableEntity` enum had 12 values, while the server already synced 18 (including `commandMenuItem` and `pageLayoutWidget`). The same gap existed for `pageLayoutWidget`, which had no top-level define despite being synced server-side. This PR closes both gaps and aligns the SDK surface with what the server actually accepts. The standalone defines coexist with the nested form — pick one per entity, never both with the same `universalIdentifier` (the manifest aggregator will throw on duplicates). The README now documents this. ## Test plan - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-sdk` / `twenty-server` / `twenty-front` - [x] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` / `twenty-server` - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-sdk` / `twenty-shared` - [x] New unit tests: `define-command-menu-item.spec.ts`, `define-page-layout-widget.spec.ts` - [x] Existing manifest extract config tests still pass - [ ] Codegen `npx nx run twenty-front:graphql:generate --configuration=metadata` should be re-run after merge — the generated `graphql.ts` was patched manually to include `commandMenuItems` on `Application` and the `FindOneApplication` document. - [ ] Smoke test: scaffold an app with `twenty add` for both new entity types, run `twenty dev`, confirm the dev UI shows them in the sync list and the settings page surfaces command menu items in the content tab. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: martmull <martmull@hotmail.fr> Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> |

Make ConnectionProvider a true SyncableEntity (#20232)
## Summary PR #20181 left `ConnectionProvider` in the `SyncableEntity` enum but bypassing the standard sync pipeline — manifest sync called the bespoke `ApplicationOAuthProviderService.upsertManyFromManifest()` instead of going through the workspace-migration orchestrator like every other SyncableEntity. Anything that assumed *"all SyncableEntity values flow through the same pipeline"* (dev UI sync tracking, verification tooling) was wrong about ConnectionProvider — that's the inconsistency this PR closes. This PR follows the `.cursor/skills/syncable-entity-*` guides religiously, all six steps. ## What changes **Step 1 — Types & Constants** (`@syncable-entity-types-and-constants`) - Add `connectionProvider` to `ALL_METADATA_NAME` (twenty-shared) - Make `ApplicationOAuthProviderEntity` extend `SyncableEntity` (drops the ad-hoc columns since the base class provides them, adds `deletedAt`, drops the old `(applicationId, universalIdentifier)` unique in favour of SyncableEntity's `(workspaceId, universalIdentifier)`) - `FlatConnectionProvider`, `FlatConnectionProviderMaps`, `FLAT_CONNECTION_PROVIDER_EDITABLE_PROPERTIES`, `UniversalFlatConnectionProvider`, six action types - Register in **all** the central registries: `AllFlatEntityTypesByMetadataName`, `ALL_METADATA_ENTITY_BY_METADATA_NAME`, `ALL_ENTITY_PROPERTIES_CONFIGURATION`, `ALL_MANY_TO_ONE_*`, `ALL_ONE_TO_MANY_*`, `ALL_METADATA_REQUIRED_METADATA_FOR_VALIDATION`, `ALL_METADATA_SERIALIZED_RELATION`, `ALL_JSONB_PROPERTIES_WITH_SERIALIZED_RELATION`, `WORKSPACE_CACHE_KEYS_V2` (`flatConnectionProviderMaps`), `METADATA_EVENTS_TO_EMIT` - `case 'connectionProvider':` in seven discriminated-union switches (`derive-metadata-events-*`, `optimistically-apply-*`, `enrich-create-*`) **Step 2 — Cache & Transform** (`@syncable-entity-cache-and-transform`) - `WorkspaceFlatConnectionProviderMapCacheService` (extends `WorkspaceCacheProvider`, decorated with `@WorkspaceCache`, soft-delete-aware) - `fromConnectionProviderEntityToFlatConnectionProvider` util - `fromConnectionProviderManifestToUniversalFlatConnectionProvider` util - `FlatConnectionProviderModule` wires the cache service - Wired the manifest converter into `compute-application-manifest-all-universal-flat-entity-maps` **Step 3 — Builder & Validation** (`@syncable-entity-builder-and-validation`) - `FlatConnectionProviderValidatorService` — never throws, returns error arrays; uses indexed `byUniversalIdentifier` for the (name, applicationUniversalIdentifier) uniqueness check (no `Object.values().find()` on the hot path) - `WorkspaceMigrationConnectionProviderActionsBuilderService` - Registered in both validators-module + builder-module - **Wired into the orchestrator** (the most-commonly-forgotten step per the rule) — constructor inject, destructure `flatConnectionProviderMaps`, `validateAndBuild`, append actions to the final migration **Step 4 — Runner & Actions** (`@syncable-entity-runner-and-actions`) - Three handlers (create / update / delete) using the canonical `WorkspaceMigrationRunnerActionHandler` mixin - Registered in `WorkspaceSchemaMigrationRunnerActionHandlersModule` **Step 5 — Integration** (`@syncable-entity-integration`) - Delete the `upsertManyFromManifest` bypass on `ApplicationOAuthProviderService` - Remove the bypass call from `ApplicationSyncService` — manifest sync now flows through the standard pipeline - Drop `ApplicationOAuthProviderModule` from `ApplicationManifestModule` (no longer needed) - Import `FlatConnectionProviderModule` from `ApplicationOAuthProviderModule` to keep the cache discoverable - 3 new exception codes: `INVALID_CONNECTION_PROVIDER_INPUT`, `CONNECTION_PROVIDER_NOT_FOUND`, `CONNECTION_PROVIDER_NAME_ALREADY_EXISTS` **Migration** - Generated via `database:migrate:generate` (instance command `1777896012579`): drops the old `(applicationId, universalIdentifier)` unique constraint, adds `deletedAt` column, adds the `(workspaceId, universalIdentifier)` unique index that `SyncableEntity` requires. - Verified clean — a second `migrate:generate` pass produces zero drift. **Step 6 — Tests** (`@syncable-entity-testing`) - 3 new specs for the manifest converter (defaults, optional fields, all-fields) - All 32 existing OAuth-provider tests still pass - ConnectionProvider has no end-user GraphQL CRUD (it's manifest-driven only), so the GraphQL integration suite that other SyncableEntities ship doesn't apply here **Codegen** - Regenerated GraphQL artifacts (twenty-front + twenty-client-sdk) against the live schema ## Why this matters Before: - `ConnectionProvider` claimed to be a `SyncableEntity` (in the enum) - But the entity didn't extend `SyncableEntity` - And the manifest sync bypassed the standard pipeline - → Verification tooling, dev UI sync tracking, anything iterating over `ALL_METADATA_NAME` got inconsistent behaviour After: - `ConnectionProvider` is a `SyncableEntity` end-to-end - Single sync path through the workspace-migration orchestrator (same as `agent`, `skill`, `frontComponent`, `webhook`, …) - One mental model ## Out of scope (deliberate) - **Renaming the table** from `applicationOAuthProvider` to `connectionProvider` — the `metadataName` is `connectionProvider` (what consumers see in code); the table name is internal. A rename would balloon this PR with mechanical churn unrelated to the sync-pipeline wiring. Worth doing as a follow-up. - **`applicationVariable` SyncableEntity conversion** — the other manifest-sync holdout. Tracked in #20215. ## Test plan - [ ] Migration up/down clean against fresh DB - [ ] Install an app whose manifest declares connection providers — providers appear in the workspace - [ ] Re-deploy the app with one provider added, one removed, one renamed → all reconciled correctly via the sync pipeline - [ ] Verify the dev-UI sync-tracking page shows ConnectionProvider entries the same way it shows agents/skills/etc - [ ] OAuth flow still works (existing connections, new connections, reconnect, list/get from SDK) — should be unchanged since the runtime code path didn't move 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(sdk): add definePageLayoutTab for extending existing page layouts (#20004)
## Summary
Introduces `definePageLayoutTab` so apps can attach a single tab (with
optional widgets) to an **existing** `pageLayout` referenced by
`pageLayoutUniversalIdentifier`. The parent layout can be standard, from
the same app, or from another app — mirroring how `defineField`
references an object via `objectUniversalIdentifier`.
This complements `definePageLayout`: use `definePageLayout` when you own
the entire layout, use `definePageLayoutTab` when you only want to add
to one.
```ts
import { definePageLayoutTab, PageLayoutTabLayoutMode } from 'twenty-sdk/define';
export default definePageLayoutTab({
universalIdentifier: 'b1b2b3b4-b5b6-4000-8000-000000000001',
pageLayoutUniversalIdentifier: 'STANDARD-OR-OTHER-APP-PAGE-LAYOUT-UUID',
title: 'Hello World',
position: 1000,
icon: 'IconWorld',
layoutMode: PageLayoutTabLayoutMode.CANVAS,
widgets: [/* ... */],
});
```
## Changes
- **twenty-shared**: new top-level `pageLayoutTabs:
PageLayoutTabManifest[]` on `Manifest`, optional
`pageLayoutUniversalIdentifier` on `PageLayoutTabManifest`, new
`SyncableEntity.PageLayoutTab`.
- **twenty-sdk**:
- new `definePageLayoutTab` + `PageLayoutTabConfig` exports;
- manifest extraction wiring (`TargetFunction.DefinePageLayoutTab`,
`ManifestEntityKey.PageLayoutTabs`);
- dev-mode label/state for the new entity;
- CLI scaffold (`getPageLayoutTabBaseFile`) + unit tests for `npx
twenty-cli add`.
- **twenty-server**: convert top-level `pageLayoutTabs` (and their
widgets) into universal flat entities in
`computeApplicationManifestAllUniversalFlatEntityMaps`. Cross-app FK
validation on `pageLayoutUniversalIdentifier` is already handled by the
existing `FlatPageLayoutTab` validator.
- **docs**: new `definePageLayoutTab` accordion in `apps/layout.mdx`
with usage example and guidance vs `definePageLayout`.
- **CI / rich-app fixture**: `extra-tab.page-layout-tab.ts` exercises
the new flow with a front-component widget; `expected-manifest.ts` and
`manifest.tests.ts` updated.

Forbid other app role extension (#19783)
# Introduction Even though this would not possible through API at the moment, from neither API metadata or manifest ( as manifest `permissionsFlag` declarations etc are done from within a declared role ) Prevent any app to create permissions entities over another app role from the validation engine itself ## `isEditable` We might wanna deprecate this column at some point from the entity it self as now the grain would rather be `what app owns that role ?` --------- Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> |
