Félix Malfait 3cf04bea28 Support sender variable on workflow send-email action (#22512)
## Context

Draft-email workflow steps already accept a workspace member variable as
the sender: the step input's `connectedAccountId` can hold a workflow
variable that resolves to a workspace member id, which the action then
maps to that member's first connected account. Send-email steps were
gated out of this and only accepted a static connected account pick.

This enables the same dynamic sender resolution on send-email, e.g.
sending from the assignee/owner of the record that triggered the
workflow.

## What changed

- Removed the draft-only gate in
`EmailWorkflowActionBase.postprocessInput` so send-email resolves a
workspace member id to a connected account the same way draft-email does
- Exposed the variable picker and hint on the Account field for both
email actions in the workflow step editor
- Updated the send-email action spec to cover sender resolution (mirrors
the draft-email spec) and replaced the `SendEmailHasNoVariablePicker`
story with a variable-sender story for `SEND_EMAIL`

neo773 9f3ebaaf22 feat(messaging): sync draft emails and edit them in the thread composer (#22178)
Stop excluding drafts from sync across all three providers (Gmail DRAFT
label, Microsoft/IMAP Drafts folder) and add an isDraft boolean field on
Message so drafts are queryable by the API and AI agents.

Drafts render in the thread with a Draft tag; clicking one opens the
existing reply composer pre-filled with the draft's recipients, subject
and body, and Send reuses the existing send-email flow.

Paul Rastoin b0d7516951 Deprecate asExpression from field metadata search_vector (#22287)
## Summary

Fully deprecates the cached `asExpression` / `generatedType` settings on
`TS_VECTOR` (searchVector) fields. Previously the generated-column
expression was stored in `FieldMetadataSettings` and kept in sync via
imperative recompute side-effects. It is now **derived at DDL time**
from the `searchFieldMetadata` rows that describe which fields feed the
search vector, making `searchFieldMetadata` the single source of truth
and removing a whole class of cache-drift bugs.

This is delivered across the milestones tracked in #2587 and coordinates
with the frontend migration (#1428).

## Why

- The searchVector expression lived in two places (stored
`settings.asExpression` + the actual generated column), kept consistent
by bespoke side-effects (`recompute-search-vector-on-field-rename`,
label-identifier recompute, etc.).
- The frontend reconstructed the searchable-fields list by
**regex-parsing** the stored `asExpression`.
- Both are brittle. Deriving the expression from `searchFieldMetadata`
rows at build/run time removes the cache and the parsing.

## What changed

### Server - data model & derivation
- Introduce the `tsVectorFieldMetadata` relation on
`searchFieldMetadata` (`tsVectorFieldMetadataId` / universal identifier)
linking each searchable-field row to its target `TS_VECTOR` field.
- New runtime derivation
`deriveSearchVectorAsExpressionForTsVectorField`
(`flat-search-field-metadata/utils/...`) used by the create-object and
update-field handlers to generate the column expression from
`searchFieldMetadata` rows.
- Remove `asExpression` / `generatedType` from stored settings:
`FieldMetadataSettings.TS_VECTOR` is now `null`; the column builder
(`generate-column-definitions.util.ts`) hardcodes `generatedType:
'STORED'` and requires the derived expression.
- Delete the imperative recompute side-effects and the
`compute-search-vector-universal-settings-from-object-manifest` path;
drop the `settings` block from all 28 standard
`compute-*-standard-flat-field-metadata` utils.

### Server - migration runner
- New `rebuildSearchVector` marker on `update-field` actions: the
orchestrator synthesizes targeted column rebuilds
(`compute-search-vector-rebuild-target-universal-identifiers.util.ts` +
the deprioritize aggregator) only when a searchFieldMetadata change or
indexed-field rename actually requires it - instead of rebuilding on
every settings touch.
- Deferrable FKs + in-flight ID resolution so a `searchFieldMetadata`
row and its `TS_VECTOR` field can be created in the same transaction
(deterministic UUIDs).

### Frontend (contract change, #1428)
- New `SearchFieldMetadataDTO` + dataloader exposing
`searchFieldMetadataList` on object metadata.
- `SettingsObjectSearchSection` now reads
`objectMetadataItem.searchFieldMetadatas` instead of parsing
`asExpression`; new `SearchFieldMetadataItem` type, fragment, and
mapping updates.

### Upgrade commands (2.18)
-
`2-18-instance-command-fast-...-add-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-to-search-field-metadata`
-
`2-18-instance-command-fast-...-make-search-field-metadata-fks-deferrable`
-
`2-18-instance-command-slow-...-backfill-ts-vector-field-metadata-id-on-search-field-metadata`

(These were relocated from 2.16 to 2.18 and re-timestamped into an
ordered block - add column -> make FK deferrable -> backfill data -
since 2.16/2.17 are released.)

### Tests
- Updated search-vector side-effect integration specs to assert behavior
(search works) rather than the now-removed `asExpression`; removed the
obsolete expression-validation specs; refreshed the application-sync
snapshot (`universalSettings: null`).

## Upgrade / compatibility notes
- Existing workspaces keep their stored `settings` until a later
cleanup; nothing reads it anymore. The new derivation drives all DDL
going forward.
- Schema changes are gated behind the 2.18 instance commands above.

## Known follow-up (separate PR)
https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/2620
- The column rebuild (`DROP`/`ADD` of the `searchVector` STORED column)
cascade-drops its GIN index and does not recreate it - a pre-existing
regression on `main` inherited here. A follow-up PR will fix the rebuild
handler to recreate the GIN index and add a 2.18 workspace command to
recompute every search vector + strip the deprecated settings.
(Planned.)

## Test plan
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` / `twenty-front`
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` / `twenty-front`
- [ ] Server integration: create/update/delete field, rename indexed
field, update object - search returns expected records
- [ ] Run the 2.18 instance commands on a seeded DB; verify
`tsVectorFieldMetadataId` backfilled and FKs deferrable
- [ ] Frontend: object Search settings tab lists the correct searchable
fields (no `asExpression` parsing)

Félix Malfait 0e22ae0521 feat: create calendar events on Google and Microsoft accounts (#22231)
## Context

Twenty can import calendar events and send emails, but cannot create
calendar events. This adds calendar event creation on connected
**Google** and **Microsoft** accounts, mirroring the existing email-send
architecture (`message-outbound-manager`).

## What it adds

The capability is exposed three ways, all backed by the same composer →
driver → persist pipeline:

- **GraphQL mutation** `createCalendarEvent` (metadata API)
- **AI agent tool** `create_calendar_event` (flows to MCP
automatically), gated by a new `CREATE_CALENDAR_EVENT_TOOL` permission
flag
- **Workflow builder node** "Create Calendar Event" in the **Core**
section, with a full settings form (variable interpolation supported)

CalDAV/IMAP is intentionally out of scope for now (different long pole).

## Design notes

- **Reuse over reinvention** — the created event is run through the
existing inbound formatters (`formatGoogleCalendarEvents` /
`formatMicrosoftCalendarEvents`) and persisted immediately via the
existing `CalendarSaveEventsService`, so it appears in Twenty right away
and is reconciled by the next provider sync (dedup on external id).
Persistence is best-effort.
- **OAuth scopes** — Google already requests `calendar.events`
(read+write), so no change there. Microsoft moves `Calendars.Read` →
`Calendars.ReadWrite`; existing Microsoft accounts must re-consent
(surfaced as a clear "reconnect" error via a missing-scope check).
- **Deliberate invitation semantics** — `sendInvitations` is off by
default. When off, the event is created with **no attendees** on either
provider, so creating an event never silently emails external people.
When on, attendees are attached and notified (Google `sendUpdates: all`,
Microsoft's default). This sidesteps Microsoft Graph having no
per-request suppression.
- **Timezone correctness** — Microsoft Graph interprets `dateTime` as
wall-clock in the supplied `timeZone` and ignores the offset, so the
absolute instant is converted to its wall-clock form before sending
(Google honors the offset directly). Both providers end up scheduling
the same instant.
- **Conferencing** — optional Google Meet
(`conferenceData.createRequest`, with a follow-up `events.get` to
resolve the async link) / Microsoft Teams (`isOnlineMeeting`).
- Attendees are a comma-separated string everywhere (tool input, GraphQL
DTO, workflow input), consistent with `send_email` recipients; the
composer parses to its internal list.

## Test plan

- **Unit**: 45 tests covering the composer (validation, all-day
boundaries, offset enforcement, timezone, scope checks, default-account
resolution), both provider drivers, the dispatcher, and the workflow
step-log builder.
- **Integration**: `createCalendarEvent` on the `/metadata` API fails
closed with a structured error for a non-existent account (the
auth/ownership/validation path that doesn't require provider mocking).
- **Manual**: verified the workflow node appears in the Core section,
the settings form renders and round-trips (edit → autosave → reload),
and the live mutation returns a structured failure for a bogus account.

## Open question for reviewers

The metadata mutation `createCalendarEvent` shares a name with the core
schema's auto-generated `createCalendarEvent(data:)` CRUD mutation for
the CalendarEvent object — they live on different endpoints (`/metadata`
vs `/graphql`) so there's no runtime conflict, but it's a potential
point of confusion for API consumers. Happy to rename (e.g.
`createCalendarEventOnConnectedAccount`) if preferred.

## Out of scope / follow-ups

- CalDAV/IMAP support
- Event update/delete and recurrence
- Existing Microsoft accounts need re-consent for the widened scope

Marie 6e2df0654b [Workflows] Allow iterator to take whole item as variable (#22031)
**Select the whole item in iterator loops, and iterate over a step's
array output**
## Summary
Two related improvements to working with lists in workflows:
- Pick the current item as a whole inside an iterator loop. Previously,
in a node inside the loop, you could only reference individual fields of
the Iterator's current item. Now you can select the whole item (e.g. a
full record) — useful for passing it straight into a downstream step.
<img width="1270" height="744" alt="Screenshot 2026-06-23 at 17 02 47"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6b92e72e-ec25-4c1a-9841-3a438210e753"
/>
- Iterate over a step's array output. A Code / Logic Function step that
returns a top-level array couldn't be fed to the Iterator: its output
was flattened into indexed entries (0, 1, …) with no way to select the
array as a whole. A new "Whole list" option selects the step's entire
output, and the Iterator infers the per-iteration item shape from it.
<img width="1026" height="728" alt="Screenshot 2026-06-23 at 17 17 53"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/db07dcd8-4fb8-4db9-8b45-aa56051d9f3b"
/>

Together these complete the loop ergonomics: select a list → iterate →
reference the current item (whole or by field) downstream — matching the
model used by tools like Windmill.

## What changed
- The variable picker offers a "Use the whole item" option when viewing
an iterator's current item, and a "Whole list" option when a step
returns a top-level array.
- The Iterator's current-item schema can now be inferred from a variable
pointing at a step's whole output.

## Risks for existing workflows
None expected. The change is purely additive:
- No DB migration and no change to how output schemas are stored or read
— existing schemas, variables, and iterators behave identically.
- No change to runtime variable resolution; existing {{step.field}} and
current-item references are untouched.
- The new options only apply to new selections (whole item / whole
list); all existing paths take the unchanged code path.
- The only edge case: array detection is heuristic (an output whose keys
are exactly 0…n-1), so an object that happens to have those keys would
also show "Whole list". This is rare for real outputs, affects nothing
unless a user selects it, and fails safe — the Iterator validates its
input and throws a clear "items must be an array" error if a non-array
is passed.

Thomas des Francs 2aeacf341f Flatten system object pickers (#22161)
## Summary
- Flatten system object entries into the first-level workflow object
pickers.
- Flatten dashboard Source and record-page Field picker advanced/system
entries into the main searchable list.
- Keep regular entries first, place system/advanced entries at the
bottom, and cap page-layout picker height at 340px.
- Add keyboard selection support to workflow object pickers through
`SelectableList`.

## Review notes
- Removed now-unused Advanced submenu state, submenu headers, and
duplicated filtering paths.
- Kept the width behavior scoped to each existing dropdown; the shared
page-layout wrapper only controls height/scrolling.
- No blocking issues found in the final reviewed diff.

Etienne 5ca41d55fb feat(ai): humanize tool-call (#21976)
# Humanize tool-call labels

/>

## Why

In the AI chat, tool steps were displayed using raw tool identifiers
(`find_many_companies`, `create_one_task`, `send_email`...) and labels
were partially reconstructed/humanized on the frontend. This was hard to
localize and inconsistent across tool categories.

This PR makes the **backend the single source of truth for
human-readable, localized tool labels**, exposes them through
`getToolIndex`, and reduces the frontend to a thin resolver that picks
the right label for the current status (in-progress / completed).

## What changed

### Backend

- `ToolIndexEntry` (and the `getToolIndex` GraphQL DTO) now carry
`label`, `inProgressLabel?`, `completedLabel?`.
- New `getCrudToolLabels(operation, objectLabel, i18nService, locale)`
builds CRUD labels from a verb table (Search / Find / Group / Create /
Update / Upsert / Delete × imperative / in-progress / completed) + the
(translated, lowercased) object label.
- New `translate-tool-label.util.ts` translates a source label via
`I18nService` (`generateMessageId` → fallback to source when no
translation exists).
- Action tools: labels extracted to the `ACTION_TOOL_LABELS` constant
(`msg` + `i18nLabel`) and translated in
`ActionToolProvider.buildDescriptor`.
- Logic-function tools use the function name as label;
`toolSetToDescriptors` (workflow / view / metadata / dashboard) accepts
an optional `labels` map and falls back to a humanized tool name.
- Labels are localized server-side using the request locale
(`@RequestLocale` → `buildToolIndex` → `context.locale`, threaded
through `ToolContext` / `ToolProviderContext`).
- `code_interpreter` schema now asks the model for `loadingMessage`
(present tense) and `completedMessage` (past tense), so its status text
is model-generated.
- Removed the old generic `loadingMessage` injection mechanism
(`wrap-tool-for-execution.util.ts` deleted; `wrapJsonSchemaForExecution`
/ `stripLoadingMessage` no longer wrap every tool).

### Frontend

- New `useToolLabelMap()` hook builds a `Map<name, { label,
inProgressLabel, completedLabel }>` from `getToolIndex`.
- `getToolDisplayMessage` → `resolveToolDisplayMessage({ input,
toolName, isFinished, labelMap, output })`: a small resolver registry
keyed by tool name (`execute_tool`, `web_search`, `learn_tools`,
`load_skills`, `code_interpreter`, default).
- Default resolver prefers backend `completedLabel` / `inProgressLabel`,
falling back to `Ran X` / `Running X`.
- `learn_tools` / `load_skills` resolve their inner tool/skill names to
labels (label map → tool output labels via `getToolOutputLabelEntries` →
raw name).
- `code_interpreter` step is now expandable to show the code even while
running.

## Localization notes

- Standard object labels and action/CRUD verbs are translated
server-side via `I18nService` using the requester's locale.
- Custom object labels are not translated unless a workspace custom
translation exists (matched by `generateMessageId`); otherwise the
source label is used as-is.

## Tests

- **FE:** `resolveToolDisplayMessage` / `getToolOutputLabelEntries`
(status selection, inner-name resolution, `code_interpreter` model
labels, fallbacks).
- **BE:** `toolSetToDescriptors` (label map + humanized fallback) and
`database-tool.provider` label generation.

martmull 269c8ef400 feat(front): allow advanced relation fields in FieldWidget selector (#22005)
## After

<img width="706" height="760" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d118285f-baab-4187-988c-d0180d61a629"

src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5676d829-2ec1-494e-a8f0-5998f1f0c3c8"
/>

## Summary

The FieldWidget field-selection dropdown currently filters out relation
fields whose target is a system object, so users can't pick fields like
`calendarEventParticipants` on the CalendarEvent record page. The widget
itself can render them just fine as boxed relations — the restriction
only lives in the picker.

This unblocks the consistency story from #22003 (revert of #21857): once
shipped, participants can be added to the calendar event record page via
the existing FieldWidget mechanism instead of a bespoke side-panel page.

## Changes

- `isFieldCellSupported`: adds an opt-in `includeSystemObjectRelations`
option that skips the `isObjectMetadataAvailableForRelation` system
check.
- `useFieldListFieldMetadataItems`: forwards the option through to
`isFieldCellSupported`. Default is `false`, so all existing callers keep
current behavior.
- `useFieldWidgetEligibleFields`: turns the option on, so the
FieldWidget selector now surfaces fields like
`calendarEventParticipants`, `messageParticipants`, etc.

## Test plan

- [x] `nx typecheck twenty-front`
- [x] `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front`
- [ ] CI
- [ ] Manually verify the FieldWidget dropdown now lists
`calendarEventParticipants` on a CalendarEvent record page, and that
selecting it renders a participants list via the existing relation
card/field widget.

Raphaël Bosi 766d90af7e Remove framer-motion from twenty-ui (#22021)
## What

Removes the `framer-motion` dependency from `twenty-ui` and replaces
every usage with pure CSS animations, reaching for Base UI primitives
where one fits:

- **Collapse/expand** (`AnimatedEaseInOut`,
`AnimatedExpandableContainer`): rebuilt on Base UI `Collapsible`
(CSS-animated `--collapsible-panel-height/width` + transition states).
Public props unchanged, so the ~28 call sites are untouched.
- **ProgressBar**: rebuilt on Base UI `Progress` (proper
`role`/`aria-valuenow`). The snackbar auto-dismiss countdown now uses a
CSS keyframe + `animation-play-state` (pause on hover), removing a
per-frame React re-render; `useProgressAnimation` is deleted.
- The remaining `Animated*` components, the circular spinner, checkmark,
and the placeholder pointer parallax move to plain CSS (SCSS modules +
the `duration()` helper + theme tokens).
- Deletes 3 unused components (`AnimatedTranslation`,
`AnimatedTextWord`, `AnimatedFadeOut`).

## Why

`twenty-ui` is a publicly published library with a size budget, so
dropping framer-motion shrinks what consumers ship. `twenty-front` keeps
its own framer-motion; that is out of scope here.

## Notes for reviewers

- A few `twenty-ui` components received framer props from `twenty-front`
call sites; those were migrated (e.g. `AnimatedLightIconButton` gained a
CSS `rotate` prop, and the `EMPTY_PLACEHOLDER_TRANSITION_PROPS` spreads
were removed).
- Behavior change: Base UI `Collapsible` animates only on open/close
transitions, so the old "animate in on first mount while already open"
case no longer plays (the `initial` prop is kept for API compatibility).

Félix Malfait 0e6d96bb5e fix(workflow): stop trigger/action filter Conditions from flashing on edit (#21952)
## Problem

Adding a condition to a database-event **trigger** (the new Conditions
section), the **Filter** action, or the **If/Else** action causes the
just-added condition to flash out and back in.

## Root cause

`WorkflowEditActionFilterBodyEffect` seeds the builder's local jotai
atoms from the persisted `defaultValue` through an effect that
**resynced whenever the live atoms differed from `defaultValue`** (the
atoms were in the effect deps and the equality check compared atoms vs
`defaultValue`).

A local edit writes the atoms **synchronously**, then persists through
an **async** mutation — and for an *active* workflow that mutation first
creates a draft version over the network. During that window the atoms
are ahead of the still-stale `defaultValue`, so the effect treated it as
"out of sync" and overwrote the edit back to the stale value, then wrote
it again once the save landed. That round-trip is the flash.

The resync existed for a real reason: the atoms are module-cached per
`instanceId` and persist across mounts, and the trigger shares a single
**constant** `instanceId` (`'trigger'`), so a previous trigger's filters
must be overwritten when a different one is opened. (This is also why
the `?? { stepFilterGroups: [], stepFilters: [] }` fallback was added in
#21868 — to reset builder state deterministically between trigger
edits.) So a naive "init-once" fix would reintroduce that stale-state
leak.

## Fix

Resync from `defaultValue` **only when `defaultValue` itself changes**,
tracked via the last-synced value in `useState` (not the live atoms).
This:

- never clobbers an in-flight local edit → no flash;
- still re-seeds when switching the trigger/action being edited → no
stale-state leak;
- preserves reflecting genuine external `defaultValue` changes.

The `hasInitialized*` flags are no longer needed and are removed (along
with the now-unused `stepId` prop on the effect).

## Tests

Adds a regression test covering: seeding from `defaultValue` on mount,
the **no-clobber-while-stale** invariant (the flash), and resync on a
genuine `defaultValue` change. Verified the no-clobber test **fails**
against the old "resync against live atoms" behavior and passes with the
fix.

## Verification

- `nx typecheck twenty-front`
- `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` (0 warnings / 0 errors)
- New unit test: 3 passing

## Known residual / follow-up

On an *active* workflow, the first edit creates a draft version over the
network; making a second edit before that round-trip completes leaves a
narrow window where the optimistic echo of the first value could
momentarily win. Far narrower than the current flash-on-every-edit.
Eliminating it entirely (and resolving the still-open HIGH-severity
"constant `instanceId`" review flag from #21868) would mean giving the
trigger a unique `instanceId` per workflow version + a React `key` to
reset on remount — proposed as a separate, scoped follow-up.

Félix Malfait 2abf9c2930 feat(workflow): Pick Record load balanced strategy (3/3) (#21902)
## Overview

Final PR in the Pick Record stack. Adds the **Load Balanced** strategy:
pick the candidate that currently has the *fewest related records*. This
is the "fair assignment" mode — e.g. assign a new company to the account
owner who currently owns the fewest companies, or route a lead to the
rep with the fewest open opportunities.

**Stacked on #21900** (which is stacked on #21899) — merge in order.
This PR's diff against `main` includes PRs 1 & 2 until they merge.

## What changed

- Widened the `strategy` enum to add `LOAD_BALANCED`, and added an
optional `loadBalance: { objectNameSingular, fieldName }` to the action
input.
- Editor: selecting **Load balanced** reveals a **Balance by** object
picker and a **Count by** field picker (the related object's many-to-one
relation fields).
- Executor: for each candidate, counts records of the chosen related
object whose chosen relation points at that candidate, then selects the
least-loaded one.

## How it works

Given pool = workspace members and config `{ objectNameSingular:
"opportunity", fieldName: "pointOfContact" }`, the executor counts, per
member, the opportunities whose `pointOfContact` is that member, and
picks the member with the lowest count.

## Design decisions & tradeoffs

1. **No persistent state — computed live each run.** Unlike round robin,
load balancing reads current data, so there's no cursor to store.
Correct by construction even under concurrency (each run recomputes
counts); the only caveat is two simultaneous runs can both see the same
"least loaded" candidate before either assignment lands (a small,
self-correcting skew), which is inherent to load-balancing and
acceptable.

2. **Count via per-candidate queries.** One filtered count per candidate
(`{ [relationField]: { id: { eq: candidateId } } }`), run in parallel.
For the realistic pool sizes this targets (a team), this is simple and
clear. A single `group_by` aggregate would scale better for very large
pools — noted as a future optimization, deliberately not done to keep
the logic obvious.

3. **Deterministic tie-break.** Candidates are pre-sorted by id (shared
with round robin), and the first minimum wins — so equal-load ties
resolve deterministically rather than arbitrarily.

4. **`Count by` lists all many-to-one relations of the chosen object**
(not filtered to those targeting the pool object). Keeps the editor
simple; picking an unrelated field just yields zero counts, which is
visibly wrong. Filtering options to relations that target the pool
object is a nice follow-up.

5. **Filter on the counted set** (e.g. only *open* opportunities) is
intentionally out of scope for this first cut — documented as a
follow-up.

## Testing

Added `pick-record-load-balanced-workflow.integration-spec.ts`: creates
two fresh companies (0 related opportunities each), attaches one
opportunity to the second, configures `LOAD_BALANCED` counting
opportunities by `company`, and asserts the step picks the **first**
company (0 < 1). Passes locally alongside the random and round-robin
tests (3 suites / 4 tests). `typecheck` + `lint:diff-with-main` green
for shared/server/front.

## The full stack

1. #21899 — Random (the action + the whole scaffold)
2. #21900 — Round robin (atomic Redis cursor)
3. this — Load balanced

Together these enable round-robin / load-balanced / random **assignment
workflows** in Twenty, composed via the standard variable picker (assign
the chosen record downstream with `{{step.<id>.id}}`).

Félix Malfait fa6d1394af feat(workflow): Pick Record round robin strategy (2/3) (#21900)
## Overview

Second PR in the Pick Record stack. Adds a **Round Robin** selection
strategy alongside Random, so an assignment workflow can distribute
records *evenly* across a candidate pool (e.g. rotate company ownership
across a set of workspace members) rather than just randomly.

**Stacked on #21899** — review/merge that one first. This PR's diff
against `main` includes PR 1's commits until #21899 merges.

## What changed

- Widened the `strategy` enum (`RANDOM` → `RANDOM | ROUND_ROBIN`) in the
shared schema and the server input type.
- Editor now shows a **Strategy** selector (Random / Round robin). The
candidate-pool label changed from "Pick at random from" to the neutral
"Pick from" since random is no longer the only mode.
- Executor implements round robin.

## Design decisions & tradeoffs

1. **State store: Redis `incrBy` (atomic), keyed
`pick-record:round-robin:{workspaceId}:{stepId}`.** Round robin needs a
persistent cursor, and workflow runs are **not** serialized — two runs
can execute the same step concurrently — so the increment must be
atomic. `CacheStorageService.incrBy` (workflow cache namespace) is a
single atomic Redis op, needs no schema change, and is already
injectable. Index = `(cursor - 1) % poolSize`.

**Tradeoff — durability:** a Redis flush/eviction resets the cursor,
which restarts the cycle from an offset. That causes a one-time
*fairness drift*, never a *correctness* bug (no double-assignment, since
each increment is atomic). If strict durability is ever required, the
cursor can move to a Postgres counter table with `INSERT … ON CONFLICT …
DO UPDATE SET cursor = cursor + 1 RETURNING cursor` (atomic + durable) —
deliberately **not** done here to avoid a migration for what is, in
practice, an acceptable reset.

2. **Deterministic pool ordering.** The resolved pool is sorted by `id`
before the cursor is applied, so position→record mapping is stable
run-to-run regardless of fetch order. Without this, round robin wouldn't
reliably cycle.

3. **Cursor key uses `stepId`.** Stable across runs of a published
version. Republishing a version may mint new step ids, which resets the
cursor — acceptable and documented here.

4. **Slot-on-increment.** The cursor increments when the step runs
(reserving a position); if a later step in the run fails, that position
is effectively skipped. Minor, acceptable unfairness — flagged rather
than adding cross-step compensation.

## Testing

Added `pick-record-round-robin-workflow.integration-spec.ts`: builds a
workflow with a 3-record pool and `ROUND_ROBIN`, runs it 4 times
sequentially, and asserts the picks are exactly `[p0, p1, p2, p0]` (full
cycle + wraparound) against the deterministically-ordered pool. Passes
locally alongside PR 1's random test (2 suites / 3 tests). `typecheck` +
`lint:diff-with-main` green for shared/server/front.

## Follow-up

- PR 3: `LOAD_BALANCED` (fewest related records wins).

Félix Malfait 573fd00ea7 feat(workflow): add Pick Record action (1/3 — random selection) (#21899)
## Overview

Adds a new workflow action, **Pick Record**, that selects **one** record
from a configured candidate pool and exposes the chosen record as the
step's output. Downstream steps can then reference it through the normal
variable picker — e.g. assign an owner in an _Update Record_ step by
setting **Account Owner = `{{step.<pickRecordId>.id}}`**.

This is the foundation for building **assignment workflows**
(round-robin / load-balanced owner assignment, reviewer rotation, etc.)
in Twenty.

## This is PR 1 of a 3-PR stack

| PR | Strategy | Adds |
|----|----------|------|
| **1 (this one)** | `RANDOM` | The whole `PICK_RECORD` action,
end-to-end, stateless |
| 2 | `ROUND_ROBIN` | A persistent, atomically-incremented per-step
cursor + the strategy selector UI |
| 3 | `LOAD_BALANCED` | "fewest related records wins" via an aggregate
count |

Each PR widens the `strategy` enum (a backward-compatible change), so no
data migration is needed between them.

## How it works

- **Editor**: pick an Object, then pick the candidate records (a
multi-record selector). A random record is selected from that pool at
run time.
- **Output**: a single record of the chosen object — the same output
shape as `CREATE_RECORD`/`UPDATE_RECORD` — so it drills into
`{{step.x.id}}`, `{{step.x.name}}`, … in the variable picker.
- **Execution**: reuses `FindRecordsService` to fetch the pool (`id IN
(recordIds)`, which also transparently drops any deleted candidates),
then returns one at random.

## Design decisions & tradeoffs

1. **Standalone step that outputs a variable, not an inline "random"
mode on the relation field.** This mirrors Attio's round-robin block.
The decisive reason is composition: the chosen record is almost always
reused (assign owner **and** create a follow-up task for them **and**
email them). A variable is chosen once and reused everywhere; an inline
per-field value would re-roll independently in each place. It also keeps
the (stateful) round-robin/load-balanced logic out of the field inputs.
Tradeoff: one extra step to wire up vs. an inline control — accepted for
the composability win. An inline "Assign automatically" entry point can
still be layered on later as sugar that inserts this step.

2. **Co-located in the `record-crud` action module and reuses
`FindRecordsService`.** Avoids duplicating module wiring (auth context,
permissions, object-metadata resolution) and the data-access path.
Tradeoff: "Pick" is a selection rather than a CRUD op, so the folder
name is slightly broad; chose reuse + low risk over a separate module.
Can be extracted if the family grows.

3. **`strategy` exists in the schema (defaulted `RANDOM`) but the
selector is hidden in this PR.** A dropdown with a single option would
be UX slop, and adding the field only in PR 2 would force a data
backfill for any `PICK_RECORD` steps created in between. Keeping the
field now (hidden) avoids both. PR 2 introduces the selector once
there's a real choice.

4. **Pool is an explicit static list (`recordIds`) for v1.** Matches the
most common assignment case ("rotate among these N people") and reuses
the existing `FormMultiRecordPicker`. A filter-based pool (reusing the
Find Records filter UI) and a list-from-a-previous-step pool are natural
follow-ups, intentionally out of scope here to keep the stack focused on
the three strategies.

5. **Output schema is computed on the frontend** (like `CREATE_RECORD`),
derived from `input.objectName` — so it is **not** added to
`PERSISTED_OUTPUT_SCHEMA_TYPES` and needs no server-side schema
computation.

6. **Validation**: `PICK_RECORD` is added to object-name metadata
validation (so a deleted/invalid target object is flagged) via a
dedicated `OBJECT_TARGETING_ACTION_TYPES` set — deliberately **not** to
`VARIABLE_CONSUMING_ACTION_TYPES`, because a static pool legitimately
references no upstream variable and would otherwise raise a spurious "no
variable reference" warning.

7. **Empty pool → step error** at run time (respecting the step's
error-handling options) rather than a silent no-op, since an empty pool
is a misconfiguration or fully-deleted set.

8. **`Math.random`** is used for selection — no cryptographic guarantee
is needed for assignment fairness.

## Testing

Per our testing convention (integration test over service/`.spec`
tests): added `pick-record-workflow.integration-spec.ts`, which builds a
workflow with a manual trigger + a `PICK_RECORD` step, configures a
known two-record pool, runs it, and asserts the run completes and the
picked record is **always** within the configured pool (verifying the
pool filter) across repeated runs.

Local verification (typecheck + lint for shared/server/front) is green;
running the integration suite and attaching editor screenshots in a
follow-up comment.

## Follow-ups

- PR 2: `ROUND_ROBIN` + persistent atomic cursor (Redis `incrBy` vs. a
Postgres counter table — tradeoff to be documented on that PR) +
strategy selector.
- PR 3: `LOAD_BALANCED`.
- Later (not in this stack): filter-based / variable-list pools, an
inline "Assign automatically" entry point on relation fields, OOO-skip /
weighting.

Félix Malfait a0689d1577 feat(workflow): condition filter on database-event triggers (#21868)
## Problem

Connecting a mailbox bulk-creates contacts via the email/calendar sync,
and each `person.upserted` fires the seeded **"Create company when
adding a new person"** workflow. The trigger enqueues one run per record
(no batching) and each run bills several `WORKFLOW_NODE_RUN` events — so
a single mailbox connect can rack up tens of thousands of runs and
exhaust credits on a brand-new workspace. The workflow is also redundant
on that path: the sync already creates the company from the email domain
and links the person to it.

## What this does

Adds an optional, user-defined **filter** to database-event (listener)
triggers, evaluated in the listener **before a run is enqueued**.
Non-matching events never create a run, so they consume zero execution
credits. This is the Filter node's capability, lifted to the trigger
level, and available for all event types (created / updated / upserted /
deleted).

The seeded "Create company when adding a new person" workflow now
carries a visible trigger filter — `Created by → Source is not Email`
**and** `is not Calendar` — so it no longer runs for sync-created
contacts, while still running for manually / API / CSV-added people.

## How (reuse)

- **Backend:** extracted `evaluateStepFilters()`, shared by the Filter
action and the trigger listener's new `eventMatchesRecordFilter` gate.
The record is exposed under the `trigger` key so filters reference it
exactly like steps do (`{{trigger.properties.after.…}}`).
- **Shared:** one optional `filter` added to the database-event trigger
zod schema; the front-end type derives from it (settings stay JSON — no
codegen).
- **Frontend:** extracted `WorkflowStepFilterBuilder` from the Filter
action's body; both the Filter action and the trigger editor render it.
The field picker needed no changes — at the trigger it already resolves
to the record's own fields via `TRIGGER_STEP_ID`.

## Scope / decisions

- **No migration for existing workspaces** (by request) — only newly
created workspaces get the filtered default; already-created workspaces
keep the always-on workflow.
- Deliberately did **not** add relation-enrichment to the upsert path
(it would add a DB lookup to the very bulk-sync path we're relieving).
Trigger filters work on the record's own scalar/composite fields (e.g.
`createdBy.source`); relation-based filters work on created/updated
where enrichment already runs.

## Verification

- Typecheck: `twenty-shared`, `twenty-server`, `twenty-front` all green.
- Lint (diff, autofix): 0 warnings / 0 errors across all three.
- Unit tests: a new `evaluate-step-filters` spec exercising the exact
`createdBy.source IS_NOT` seed mechanism, plus new listener specs
proving non-matching events are not enqueued. All backend
filter/listener suites pass.
- Not run here: integration tests (need a DB) and Storybook.

Thomas Trompette 15fd236ad0 fix(workflow): add tooltip explaining why the variable picker is disabled (#21862)
## Context

Closes #21773
<img width="448" height="301" alt="Capture d’écran 2026-06-19 à 16 33
56"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/4efc637e-3361-4108-86b6-92ffc2e84252"
/>

When a workflow's variable picker (the `+` button next to a field) is
disabled — e.g. on a step whose only trigger is a global manual trigger
that produces no record variables — the button just shows a
`not-allowed` cursor with no explanation of *why*.

## Change

Add an `AppTooltip` to the disabled state of `WorkflowVariablesDropdown`
explaining the reason:

> No variables are available yet. Variables come from the workflow
trigger and previous steps.

The disabled state is reached via `disabled === true ||
noAvailableVariables`. In practice the callers hide the picker entirely
in read-only mode (it's rendered only when `!disabled`/`!readonly`), so
the meaningful trigger is **no available variables** — hence a single
message rather than separate copy per reason.

The tooltip is anchored with a `data-*` attribute selector instead of an
`#id`, because the picker's `instanceId` comes from React's `useId()`
(values like `:r1:`) which are invalid in a CSS `#id` selector that
`AppTooltip` runs through `querySelectorAll`.

## Testing

- `nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` — passes (lint + format).
- Verified the component resolves/renders on a local instance running
this branch.

Charles Bochet 0064ff6741 fix(ai): validate AI agent output field names against schema-key constraint (#21834)
## Problem

On a self-hosted instance, an AI Agent workflow action fails at run time
with an opaque model error:

```
The model returned the following errors: tools.0.custom.input_schema.properties:
Property keys should match pattern '^[a-zA-Z0-9_.-]{1,64}$'
```

This is Anthropic's validation on tool `input_schema` **property keys**.
An AI Agent's structured **Output** fields are turned into a JSON schema
and passed to the model as a tool; each output **variable name** becomes
a property key. Anthropic rejects any key that does not match
`^[a-zA-Z0-9_.-]{1,64}$` — most commonly a name containing a **space**
(e.g. `meetings brief`), but also names over 64 characters or with other
symbols.

Until now nothing validated this: `fieldsToSchema` writes
`properties[field.name]` verbatim, so a bad name only failed once the
workflow executed, with an error that gives the user no idea what to
fix. It doesn't reproduce on every instance — it depends purely on how
the workflow's output variables happen to be named.

## Fix

Introduce a single shared check,
`isValidAgentResponseSchemaPropertyKey`, and enforce it in two places:

- **Backend** — `validateAgentResponseFormat` now rejects invalid output
field names at agent **save time** with a clear `userFriendlyMessage`,
instead of letting the broken schema reach the model. This also gates
agents created via the API and re-saves of existing bad data.
- **Frontend** — the output schema builder shows an inline error on the
Variable Name field as soon as an invalid name is entered.

## Tests

- Unit test for the shared validity check (valid + invalid cases:
spaces, leading space, empty, > 64 chars, symbols, unicode).
- Unit test for `validateAgentResponseFormat` covering text/json
formats, valid names, a space in a name, an over-length name, and
reporting multiple invalid names at once.

## Notes for the reporter

The immediate unblock for an affected workflow is to rename the output
variable to remove the space (e.g. `meetings brief` → `meetings_brief`)
and retry the run. With this change the bad name is caught up front with
an explanation rather than failing mid-run.

Thomas Trompette 4075018834 fix(workflow): label manual trigger record output as Record/Records (#21832)
## What

The manual trigger output schema exposed the triggering record(s) under
a node labeled **Payload**. Relabels it to match what the node actually
contains:

- **Single-record** availability → **Record**
- **Bulk-records** availability → **Records**

## Why

"Payload" was a misnomer — the node holds the record(s) that triggered
the workflow. This is a display-label-only change.

## Notes for reviewers

- **No migration.** The persisted output schema key stays `payload`, so
existing variable references (`{{trigger.payload.x}}`) are unaffected.
- The front recomputes the output schema on the fly
(`computeStepOutputSchema`), so the variable picker shows the new labels
immediately, including for existing triggers.
- The backend (`workflow-schema.workspace-service`) is updated to match
for newly persisted/re-saved schemas. Previously persisted schemas keep
"Payload" until re-saved.
- Added `WORKFLOW_TRIGGER_RECORD_LABEL` /
`WORKFLOW_TRIGGER_RECORDS_LABEL` and removed the now-unused
`WORKFLOW_TRIGGER_PAYLOAD_LABEL`.
- Unit tests updated for both single and bulk cases (55/55 passing).

Thomas Trompette ceecae30db fix(workflow): show fields for system objects in record-updated trigger (#21826)
## Problem

On the **Record is updated** (and **upserted**) workflow trigger,
picking a record type under the **Advanced** submenu (i.e. a *system*
object) showed an empty "Fields (Optional)" list — you couldn't select
any field to watch.

## Root cause

The trigger's field picker (`WorkflowFieldsMultiSelect`) was called with
`actionType="UPDATE_RECORD"`, which runs each field through
`shouldDisplayFormField`. For `UPDATE_RECORD` that predicate requires
`(isUIEditable ?? true)` — correct for the *Update Record action* (you
can't write to a read-only field), but wrong for a *trigger*, where
you're choosing which fields to **watch for changes** and editability is
irrelevant.

System objects define their fields with `isUIEditable: false`, so every
field failed the gate and the list rendered empty.

## Fix

Add DATABASE_EVENT trigger type to separated from action type.

The `UPDATE_RECORD` / `UPSERT_RECORD` action paths are untouched.

Raphaël Bosi 3675f264f1 Infer record pickers for record-typed logic function workflow inputs (#21494)
## Context

Logic functions can declare workflow inputs typed as records or arrays
of records (e.g. the People Data Labs enrichment functions), but the
workflow builder rendered those as a plain text input with a variable
picker, which is not usable.

## What this does

- Adds an `objectUniversalIdentifier` link on input schema properties,
so a record-typed input is tied to a workspace object.
- The SDK build infers it from a
`TwentyRecord<'objectUniversalIdentifier'>` marker type in the handler
signature, reading the object's universal identifier straight from the
source; explicit input schemas can still set the field directly.
- The workflow builder renders these inputs as a single record picker or
a record multi-select with the variable picker on the right. Selected
records are stored as record ids; `TwentyRecord<UID>` is a branded
`string`, so the handler signature reflects that it receives ids (a
bound variable resolves to whatever the referenced step produced).
- The multi-select collapses overflowing chips into a `+N` badge
(reusing `ExpandableList`) and its variable picker offers both record
objects and fields.
- Updates the People Data Labs enrichment inputs as the reference
implementation.

Weiko 9f30915f6f fix(metadata): remove deprecated isCustom from Objects and Fields (#21799)
## Context

Follow-up to #21228, which deprecated `isCustom` on object/field
metadata but kept it exposed because the frontend still relied on it.
This removes it from the GraphQL API and the frontend entirely.

## Implementation

### Server
- Remove `isCustom` `@Field` from the `Object`, `Field`, and
`MinimalObjectMetadata` GraphQL types
- Remove the `isCustom` `@ResolveField` resolvers and the
`isCustomLoader` dataloader (+ payload/interface)
- Remove `isCustom` as an internal `@HideField()` on the Object/Field
DTOs used by the i18n standard-override gate > Use an explicit
isStandard instead (which is the correct gating)

### Frontend
- Add `getIsMetadataItemCustom` helper + `useGetIsMetadataItemCustom`
hook: an item is custom when `applicationId ===
currentWorkspace.workspaceCustomApplication.id`
- Migrate all consumers off `objectMetadataItem.isCustom` /
`fieldMetadataItem.isCustom`; `isRecordFieldReadOnly` now takes a
precomputed `isFieldCustom`
- Drop `isCustom` from the metadata fragment/mutations/minimal query, FE
types, zod schemas, and mock generators; regenerate GraphQL types

## Notes
- Breaking change on the (already-deprecated) `Object.isCustom` /
`Field.isCustom` GraphQL fields and the `isCustom` filter
- FE semantic is "belongs to the workspace custom app" (third-party-app
objects/fields are treated as non-custom)
- `isCustom` on IndexMetadata / View / Skill / Agent is a separate
column and is untouched
- Breaking changes on REST metadata API

Etienne c6309fd92b feat(workflow): auto-layout steps on AI workflow creation via shared tidy-up (#21756)
## Context

The workflow builder has a "Tidy up" action that auto-positions steps
using a
Dagre layout. However, this lived entirely in the frontend and depended
on node
dimensions measured by React Flow after rendering in the browser.

As a result, workflows (and steps) created through AI Chat / MCP tools
were never
laid out: `create_complete_workflow` accepted optional `stepPositions`
that the
LLM had to invent, and `create_workflow_version_step` stored an optional
position
verbatim. In practice this produced overlapping / poorly positioned
steps.

## What this does

Extracts the tidy-up layout into a pure, frontend-free util in
`twenty-shared` and
reuses it from both the frontend tidy-up and the server, so
AI/MCP-created
workflows are auto-laid out at creation time.

### twenty-shared
- New `computeWorkflowLayout({ nodes, edges, options? })` — a pure Dagre
layout over
a minimal `{ id, width, height }` / `{ source, target }` graph,
returning
top-left-anchored positions (matching React Flow). Ignores edges
pointing to
  unknown nodes.
- New constants: `WORKFLOW_LAYOUT_DEFAULT_OPTIONS`
(ranksep/nodesep/rankdir) and
`WORKFLOW_DIAGRAM_DEFAULT_NODE_DIMENSIONS` (estimated node size for
server-side
layout, where measured sizes are unavailable).
- Added `@dagrejs/dagre` dependency.

### twenty-front
- `getOrganizedDiagram` now delegates to `computeWorkflowLayout`,
passing real
measured node sizes. No behavior change for users.

### twenty-server
- New `WorkflowVersionWorkspaceService.autoLayoutWorkflowVersion(...)`
builds the
graph topology via the existing `buildWorkflowGraph` (covers if-else
branches and
iterator loops), feeds estimated node sizes into
`computeWorkflowLayout`, and
  persists through the existing `updateWorkflowVersionPositions`.
- `create_complete_workflow`: removed `stepPositions` from the tool
schema; the
server always auto-lays out after creation/edges.
- `create_workflow_version_step`: re-tidies the whole version after each
added step
(wired at the tool level so the builder UI is unaffected) and dropped
the now
  redundant `position` field.

## Notes
- Server-side layout uses estimated node sizes, so it is "good enough";
opening the
workflow and running the existing FE tidy-up refines it with real
measured sizes.
- Auto-layout is wired in the MCP tools, not in the shared creation
service, so
manual step creation in the builder UI is unchanged.

## Test plan
- [x] `twenty-shared` unit tests for `computeWorkflowLayout` (linear
chain, if-else
  spread, dangling-edge safety)
- [x] `twenty-shared` builds; `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`
typecheck
- [x] Lint/format clean on changed files
- [ ] Create a workflow via AI Chat / MCP and confirm steps are laid out
without
  overlap
- [x] Add a step via MCP and confirm the version is re-tidied
- [ ] Frontend "Tidy up" still behaves as before

Raphaël Bosi 8034c7725f Reorganize twenty-ui into best-practice component domains and per-component folders (#21745)
Reorganizes `twenty-ui`'s component organization to follow how the best
UI libraries (MUI, Mantine, Base UI, Polaris) structure their source,
now that the package has stabilized.

**Taxonomy** — dissolves the meaningless `components/` junk-drawer and
the 107-file `display/` mega-category. New domains/subpaths:
`data-display`, `typography`, `icon`, `surfaces`; `feedback` and
`layout` absorb the rest (banners/callout/info + placeholders →
feedback; modal/card → surfaces; motion + separators → layout).

**Per-component layout** — every component is now
`<domain>/<ComponentName>/<ComponentName>.tsx` with colocated
styles/stories/types, `internal/` for private helpers and `parts/` for
re-exported compound sub-parts. The redundant inner `/components/` is
gone. `icon` and `json-visualizer` are kept as cohesive subsystems.

**Also:** adds a tree-shakeable root barrel (`import { Button } from
'twenty-ui'`), the generator now owns `individual-entry.ts`, and a real
barrel-leak bug is fixed (private `internals/` parts were leaking into
the public API).

Consumer imports (~1.2k files) and the `twenty-sdk` UI aggregator were
updated by codemod. The change is **export-neutral** except 16
intentionally-removed private internals symbols (all verified
unconsumed). Gates green: typecheck, lint, build, size-limit, storybook.

Etienne 39e00d5853 feat(workflow): expected output schema for runtime-output steps + validation (#21744)
## Summary

Extends the workflow validation layer (introduced in #21422) and adds a
new
"expected output schema" capability for steps whose output structure is
only
known at runtime.

Some workflow steps (HTTP Request, Code, Logic Function, AI Agent
(coming soon), Webhook
trigger) don't have a statically known output shape, so downstream steps
can't
resolve `{{step.x.y}}` variable paths or validate them. This PR lets
users
declare a **sample/expected output** for those steps, derives an output
schema
from it, and uses that schema both to power variable resolution and to
surface
validation issues at build time.

## What's included

### Expected output schema (shared schemas + types)
- New `expectedOutputSchemaShape` reused across the HTTP request, code,
logic
function and AI agent action settings schemas, plus the webhook trigger
  schema (`expectedOutputSchema` optional loose object).
- Mirrored on the server-side action/trigger settings types.

### Output schema computation (server)
- `workflow-schema.workspace-service` now computes a step's output
schema from
  the user-declared `expectedOutputSchema` sample (via
`getOutputSchemaFromValue`) when no statically computed schema is
available.

### Validation layer (server)
- `STEP_HAS_NO_VARIABLE_REFERENCE` (warning): flags steps of
`VARIABLE_CONSUMING_ACTION_TYPES` (HTTP_REQUEST, CODE, LOGIC_FUNCTION,
SEND_EMAIL, record CRUD) that reference no upstream variable.
- `LOGIC_FUNCTION_OUTPUT_SCHEMA_MISMATCH` /
`AI_AGENT_OUTPUT_SCHEMA_MISMATCH`
(warnings): compare the declared output schema against the expected
sample
using the new shared `getOutputSchemaMismatchIssues` util (missing keys,
  leaf/object mismatches, type mismatches).
- Trigger is now validated alongside steps (trigger type requirements +
  trigger variable references).
- Validation issues no longer return both `suggestions` and
`availablePaths`
when they are identical (avoids redundant, costly payloads).

### Shared utilities
- New `getOutputSchemaMismatchIssues` (+ tests) in
`twenty-shared/logic-function`.
- Moved `agentResponseSchemaToOutputSchema` from `twenty-front` into
`twenty-shared/ai` so it can be reused on both sides.

### Frontend
- New `WorkflowExpectedOutputBodyInput` component (JSON sample editor
with
validation) used by HTTP request, code, logic function and AI agent step
  editors.
- New `resolvePersistedStepOutputSchema` util + `useStepsOutputSchema`
update:
resolves a step's output schema from `outputSchema`, falling back to
  `expectedOutputSchema`, with an AI_AGENT default.
- HTTP request / code / logic function editors persist
`expectedOutputSchema`
  and derive `outputSchema` from it.
- Webhook trigger default settings include `expectedOutputSchema`.

BONUS : iterator loop validation

Thomas Trompette 105f9565a5 feat(workflow): surface manual-trigger payload + metadata in variable picker (#21692)
## Summary

Step 2 of the manual-trigger output schema restructuring (expand →
display → migrate → contract).

Builds on the now-merged #21676 (which expanded the runtime payload to
serve `payload` and `metadata` siblings at the trigger root). This PR
**surfaces** those in the variable picker as nested, expandable nodes:

- `trigger.payload.{record fields}` — the record(s) that triggered the
run
- `trigger.metadata.workspaceMemberId` — who triggered it

The flat root fields (`trigger.id`, etc.) remain available, so existing
saved variable references keep working until a later migration phase
moves them.

### Changes
- **twenty-shared**: metadata/payload label constants +
`build-manual-trigger-metadata-node` util + barrel exports.
- **twenty-front**: `computeStepOutputSchema` MANUAL branch now nests
`payload` (RecordNode for SINGLE_RECORD, array Node for BULK_RECORDS,
omitted for GLOBAL) and `metadata`; `ManualTriggerOutputSchema` type
updated to `{ payload?; metadata }`.
- **twenty-server**: `computeTriggerOutputSchemaFromAvailability`
mirrors the same nested shape for server-side validation.

The key is `metadata` (not `_metadata`) — custom fields can't start with
`_`, so collision risk was deemed acceptable.

## Test plan
- [x] `npx nx build twenty-shared`
- [x] `computeStepOutputSchema` unit tests pass (55)
- [x] Manual: create a manual-trigger workflow (GLOBAL / single-record /
bulk), confirm the picker shows `payload` and `metadata` as expandable
folders and that selecting a field yields `{{trigger.payload.<field>}}`
/ `{{trigger.metadata.workspaceMemberId}}`

> Note: server typecheck has pre-existing unrelated failures on main
(Stripe billing mocks, gmail mocks); none touch workflow files.

Thomas Trompette 8130fa1c45 feat(workflow): use workspace member as variable sender for emails (#21582)
## Summary

Lets the email workflow node sender be driven by a variable: the
connected-account field accepts a `{{variable}}`, and the backend
resolves it to a connected account at run time.

<img width="436" height="195" alt="Capture d’écran 2026-06-16 à 11 59
27"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/18eee21e-aed6-4447-9bf4-5cb0e2cfc371"
/>

### Email sender by variable
- The connected-account field now accepts a `{{variable}}` via the
variable picker (uses `FormSelectFieldInput` with
`WorkflowVariablePicker`), with a hint to pick a connected account or
set a workspace member as a variable.
- The email workflow action resolves the stored sender value explicitly:
if it is a `workspaceMemberId` (a UUID matching a workspace member), it
resolves that member's first connected account; otherwise the value is
used directly as a `connectedAccountId`.
- Resolution lives in `EmailWorkflowActionBase` and applies to both
`SEND_EMAIL` and `DRAFT_EMAIL`. If a matching member has no connected
account, the run fails fast with a clear message (no silent fallback).
- `DRAFT_EMAIL` also fails fast when the resolved connected account is
missing the required OAuth scopes (`gmail.compose` / `Mail.Send`), via a
server-side `getMissingDraftEmailScopes` util that mirrors the front-end
check.
- Existing workflows with a hardcoded `connectedAccountId` keep working
unchanged (no migration needed).

> Note: exposing the running workspace member as a manual-trigger
variable (`_metadata.workspaceMemberId`) is split into a follow-up PR.

## Test plan
- [x] Backend unit tests for `draft-email-tool`,
`get-missing-draft-email-scopes`, and the `send-email` / `draft-email`
workflow actions (incl. workspace-member sender resolution)
- [x] Lints clean on all changed files
- [x] Manual: configure an email node with a workspace-member variable
sender and confirm it resolves and drafts/sends
- [x] Manual: confirm a member lacking compose permission fails the run
with the permission message

### Update — scoped to Draft Email only

The sender variable picker is now exposed **only on the Draft Email
node**. The Send Email node keeps a plain account select (no variable
picker, no variable hint) until we enable it there in a follow-up.
Backend resolution still lives in `EmailWorkflowActionBase` and remains
generic, so enabling the picker for Send Email later requires no backend
change.

Raphaël Bosi 9c9c34fccf Remove twenty-ui-deprecated and migrate frontend to twenty-ui (#21596)
Migrates `twenty-front`, `twenty-sdk`, and
`twenty-front-component-renderer` from `twenty-ui-deprecated` to
`twenty-ui` (mechanical import swap — the packages have API parity) and
deletes the deprecated package along with its workspace/CI/config
wiring.

Also adds `@linaria/react`/`@linaria/core` as direct deps of
`twenty-front` (it used them transitively via the deprecated package).

Note: move the required status check from `ci-ui-status-check` to
`ci-new-ui-status-check`.

Argos: the Storybook box-model/button-reset baseline shift (the bulk of
the visual diffs) is isolated in #21665 — Storybook now loads
twenty-ui's global `reset.scss`, which the production app already ships.
Once #21665 merges and this branch is rebased, the remaining Argos diffs
are component-level visual-parity items only.

Raphaël Bosi 5b1cfa4cc0 Show app name on workflow logic function nodes (#21675)
Workflow logic-function nodes from installed integration apps now show
the owning app's name as the node label (e.g. "People Data Labs")
instead of the generic "Action". The descriptive title below it (e.g.
"Enrich Person") is unchanged.

This only applies to installed integration apps — plain custom-code
functions and standard functions keep showing "Action".

A new `useWorkflowNodeLabel` hook resolves the logic function's
`applicationId` and returns the app name for integration apps, falling
back to the node type otherwise. It's used by the editable, read-only,
and run node renderers.

Raphaël Bosi 637ae65e9f Hide Input and Test tabs for app logic function nodes (#21671)
When opening a logic function node that comes from an app (e.g. "Enrich
Company" from People Data Labs), the node detail panel was showing
**Input** and **Test** tabs. App-sourced functions should only expose
their input fields, with no test surface.

This hides the tab list when the logic function has an `applicationId`,
rendering the input fields directly. The test tab is also never treated
as active for these nodes, which guards against a stale "test" tab state
leaking in from a previously-opened custom function (the tab list shares
one component instance id).

Marie 4be76e3fd1 Support morph relations in workflow record nodes (#21403)
## Support morph (polymorphic) relations in workflow record nodes

Morph relations (e.g. a polymorphic `Owner` on `Pet` targeting `Person`
or `Company`) were not selectable in the workflow **Create / Update /
Upsert Record** nodes. This PR adds full support for setting them.

### What changed

**Frontend**
- `shouldDisplayFormField`: allow `MORPH_RELATION` (many-to-one) so
morph fields appear in record forms.
- New `FormMorphRelationToOneFieldInput`: a polymorphic record picker
across the morph's target objects, storing a self-describing value `{
targetObjectMetadataId, id }`.
- Wired the morph branch into `FormFieldInput`.

**Backend**
- New `formatWorkflowRecordMorphRelationFields` util: resolves the form
value (stored under the base field name, e.g. `owner`) into the correct
per-target join column (`ownerCompanyId`), nulling siblings to keep
exactly one target referenced.
- Wired into the create / update / upsert workflow actions (update also
expands `fieldsToUpdate` to the concrete join columns).

### Permissions handling
- The picker's search is scoped to only the morph targets the user can
read (`canReadObjectRecords`), so it no longer breaks when a target
object is inaccessible.
- If an existing value points to an object the user can't read, the
field shows the reused **"Not shared"** lock display instead of an empty
field, while remaining editable when other targets are readable.

### Notes
- No data schema / migration changes — reuses the existing per-target
morph columns and stores the selection in the existing workflow step
JSON settings.

Charles Bochet fb4608e437 chore(deps): upgrade Tier-1 deps (googleapis 173, gaxios 7, express 5, jsdom 29, date-fns 4, stripe 20) (#21570)
## What

Security-driven upgrade of the biggest-drift Tier-1 dependencies
(staying on latest = staying patched). Bundled because they share the
lockfile and the googleapis/gaxios pair must move together.

| Package | From | To | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| googleapis | 105.0.0 | **173.0.0** | 68 majors |
| gaxios | 5.1.3 | **7.1.5** | 2 majors |
| express | 4.22.2 | **5.2.1** | 1 major |
| jsdom | 26.1.0 | **29.1.1** | 3 majors |
| date-fns | 2.30.0 | **4.4.0** | 2 majors |
| date-fns-tz | 2.0.0 | **3.2.0** | 1 major |
| stripe | 19.3.1 | **20.4.1** | 1 major |

`yarn npm audit` reports **0 high/critical** advisories before and
after.

## Code changes

- **gaxios v7** — `GaxiosError.code` is now `string | number` (guard the
calendar network-error check by `typeof`); `GaxiosError` config/response
use `URL` + `Headers`; and crucially the v7 constructor drops
`response.data` unless `bodyUsed` is set — updated the synthetic gmail
error mocks accordingly (production gaxios sets it, so real error
parsing is unaffected).
- **google-auth-library / gaxios dedup** — `googleapis-common@8.0.2`
exact-pins `google-auth-library@10.5.0` + `gaxios@7.1.3` while
`googleapis` pulls `^10.2.0`; the two copies made
`OAuth2Client`/`GaxiosError` type-identities diverge across every
gmail/calendar service. Added two singleton `resolutions` (documented
inline in root `package.json`).
- **express 5** — no source changes. `@nestjs/platform-express@11.1.24`
already resolves `express@5.2.1` internally; the old `4.22.2` pin was
the override.
- **jsdom 29** — no source changes, but it now pulls ESM-only transitive
deps (`@csstools/*` `.mjs`, `parse5`, `entities`, `tough-cookie`,
`@exodus/bytes`). Extended the server jest `transformIgnorePatterns`
allowlist and added `.mjs` to the transform/extensions so jest can load
jsdom.
- **stripe 20** — `Subscription` gained a required `customer_account`
field; added to mocks. No runtime changes.
- **date-fns v4** — `Locale` is no longer ambient (import explicitly in
5 files); per-locale entrypoints dropped the typed `default` export (the
locale loader now reads the single named export); fixed the default
locale import in `formatTimeZoneLabel`.

## Tests

- Full suites green locally: **twenty-server 5709 passed**,
**twenty-front 4937 passed**, twenty-ui / twenty-ui-deprecated green;
typecheck + builds (swc + vite) + lint all pass.
- Added regression tests for the two runtime behaviors these upgrades
touch and that had no coverage:
  - `getDateFnsLocale` — named-export locale resolution (date-fns v4).
- `sanitizeFile` — jsdom 29 + DOMPurify still strips `<script>`/event
handlers from uploaded SVGs (security guard).

## Deliberately deferred (not in this PR)

- **stripe → 21/22**: stripe **21** bundles a runtime `Decimal` type for
money fields **and** jumps the pinned API version to `2026-03-25.dahlia`
(changes webhook/billing payload behavior) — too risky to fold into a
deps bump on billing code. stripe **22** additionally drops the
node10-resolvable `types` entry, which would force a repo-wide
`moduleResolution` change. Capped at the latest clean **20.x**.
- **openid-client → 6**: v6 is a full functional rewrite and its
passport strategy manages the OAuth `state` internally, but our SSO flow
uses `state` to carry `identityProviderId` across the shared
`/auth/oidc/callback`. That needs an auth-flow redesign (session-carried
provider id) on Enterprise SSO code with no integration harness — it
deserves its own focused PR rather than riding along here.

## Tier-1 source

Originated from a dependency-drift audit; remaining Tier-1 items
(date-fns done here) plus Tier-2/3 follow-ups tracked separately.

Charles Bochet 7c0136b97b feat(deps): migrate frontend to React 19 (#21531)
## What

Migrates the frontend stack from **React 18.3 → 19.2**. The website,
sdk, companion and emails packages were already on React 19; this brings
the remaining holdouts (`twenty-front`, `twenty-ui`,
`twenty-ui-deprecated`, `twenty-front-component-renderer`) and
`twenty-server`'s email rendering onto 19, and pins a single React
version repo-wide.

## Why

React 18.x is now the legacy line. Staying current keeps us on the
patched/maintained branch and unblocks downstream library majors
(react-router 7, mantine 9, etc.) that require React 19 peers.

## Dependency bumps (required by React 19 peers / removed APIs)

| Package | From | To | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| react / react-dom | 18.3.1 | 19.2.3 | core |
| @hello-pangea/dnd | 16 | 18 | peer `^18 \|\| ^19` |
| react-datepicker | 6 | 9 | v<7 used removed `findDOMNode`; drops
`@types/react-datepicker` |
| react-data-grid | beta.13 | beta.59 | peer `^19.2`; new render API |
| graphiql (+ @graphiql/react, plugin-explorer) | 3 / 0.23 / 1 | 5 /
0.37 / 5.1 | peer `^18 \|\| ^19` |
| react-helmet-async | 1.3 | **@dr.pogodin/react-helmet** 3.2 | upstream
caps peer at `^18`; drop-in React 19 fork |

A `resolutions` pin enforces a single React (19.2.3) + `@types/react`
(19.2.14) across the monorepo to avoid duplicate copies / type-identity
splits. Versions are the aged lockfile patches (clears the
`npmMinimalAgeGate`).

## Code changes

- **Global `JSX` shim** (`react-jsx-global.d.ts` per package): React 19
moved the `JSX` namespace under `React.JSX`; several deps' published
types (notably `@linaria/react`'s `styled.d.ts`, which types every
`styled.x` via `keyof JSX.IntrinsicElements`) still reference the global
namespace. Without the shim, every styled component degrades to `any`
props.
- **Ref nullability**: `useRef<T>(null)` now returns `RefObject<T |
null>`; widened consumer prop/hook ref types accordingly (incl. the
shared `useListenClickOutside`).
- **react-datepicker v9**: `onChange`/`onSelect` accept `Date | null`,
`calendarStartDay` typing, `ReactDatePickerProps`→`DatePickerProps`,
relaxed the dynamic `selectsMultiple` discriminated union.
- **react-data-grid beta.59**: `formatter`→`renderCell`,
`editor`→`renderEditCell`, `headerRenderer`→`renderHeaderCell`,
`components`→`renderers`, `onRowClick`→`onCellClick`, object-shaped
`useRowSelection`, Set-based selection.
- **dnd style cast**: `@radix-ui/react-popper` augments `CSSProperties`
with a `--radix-*` index signature that dnd's closed `DraggingStyle`
doesn't satisfy → cast at the spread.

## Status / testing

- `typecheck` green: twenty-front, twenty-ui, twenty-ui-deprecated,
twenty-front-component-renderer, twenty-server
- build / lint / unit tests / storybook+argos / runtime smoke-test in
progress

Draft until local + CI verification completes. Notable behavior to QA
manually: spreadsheet import (data-grid), date pickers, drag-and-drop
boards/lists, GraphQL playground, page titles/favicon.

Félix Malfait 76f69efb43 Keep synced messages and events when removing a workspace member (#21443)
## Context

Removing a workspace member deletes their connected accounts, which
cascades into deleting every message and calendar event those accounts
synced. For a CRM, losing the email history of departed teammates is a
big deal.

## What this does

Connected accounts are now kept and reassigned instead of deleted when a
member is removed:

- Ownership moves to the acting user (whoever removed the member). When
members remove themselves (leave workspace, account deletion), it falls
back to the oldest admin.
- OAuth tokens are revoked, credentials wiped, message/calendar channels
get `isSyncEnabled = false`, and the account is stamped with a new
`archivedAt` column (fast instance command included).
- Synced messages, threads and calendar events stay in the workspace.
Channel visibility settings keep applying as before, since channels and
associations survive.
- The reassigned account appears in the new owner's Settings → Accounts,
where it can still be deleted (with its data) like any other account.

The transfer happens synchronously during removal, while the member's
userWorkspace row still exists. This also removes
`DeleteWorkspaceMemberConnectedAccountsCleanupJob` and its listener: the
async job had to reconstruct the account-owner link from rows the
removal flow had just deleted, which was race-prone (see 2181fb541e).

Archived accounts are excluded from the workflow send-email default
account resolution, and both removal confirmation modals now mention
what happens to synced data.

Félix Malfait 1efa3567ef Rename isUIReadOnly to isUIEditable, add isUICreatable, expose both to app developers (#21504)
<!-- CURSOR_AGENT_PR_BODY_BEGIN -->
# UI capability flags: `isUIEditable` + `isUICreatable`

## Per-verb capability model

This PR replaces the negative `isUIReadOnly` metadata flag with
positive, per-verb capability flags (à la Salesforce
`createable`/`updateable`):

- **`isUIEditable: boolean`, default `true`** — rename of `isUIReadOnly`
with inverted polarity, on **both** `objectMetadata` and
`fieldMetadata`. It is one concept ("can the user edit this through the
generic UI?") at two altitudes, so it carries one name at both levels.
- **`isUICreatable: boolean`, default `true`** — new, **object-level
only** (fields have no create verb). When `false`, no generic UI
affordance to create a record of this object appears anywhere (table "+"
buttons, board column add, calendar add, relation-section "Add new",
record picker "Add new", command-menu create action and its keyboard
shortcut).

Both flags are **UI-affordance flags only**: the server does not block
create/edit mutations based on them, so the system, API, and workflows
continue to mutate these records freely. They are orthogonal statements
about the object's nature with no implication rule in the data model.
Because today's inline creation UX creates a blank record the user must
then edit, the frontend create predicate currently requires both
`isUICreatable` and effective editability.

There is no CREATE permission in `ObjectPermissions`; the frontend keeps
gating creation on `canUpdateObjectRecords` as a proxy, ANDed with the
new flags.

## Unified create predicate

All generic creation entry points now flow through one predicate,
`canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem` (`isUICreatable` && not
`isSystem` && not effectively read-only, where effective read-only
covers `isUIEditable`, `isRemote`, and the `canUpdateObjectRecords`
proxy via `isObjectMetadataReadOnly`). This deletes the previously
hardcoded suppression lists:

- `isRecordTableCreateDisabled.ts` and its hardcoded
`WorkflowRun`/`WorkflowVersion` list — deleted; those objects (plus
`workspaceMember`) now declare `isUICreatable: false` in the standard
application instead.
- The hardcoded `workspaceMember` guard inside
`useAddNewRecordAndOpenSidePanel.ts` — deleted.
- The `CREATE_NEW_RECORD` command menu item's availability expression
now checks `objectMetadataItem.isUICreatable`, `isUIEditable`,
`isSystem`, and `isRemote`; a workspace upgrade command re-syncs the
expression in existing workspaces.

Component-local conditions (soft-delete filter active, layout
customization mode) stay in their components.

## GraphQL compatibility and removal plan

The schema delta versus main is **purely additive plus deprecations —
zero breaking changes**:

- `isUIReadOnly` remains on both the ObjectMetadata and FieldMetadata
GraphQL output types for **one release** as a deprecated field computed
as `!isUIEditable` (`deprecationReason: 'Use isUIEditable'`). The Twenty
frontend no longer queries it.
- `isUIReadOnly` also remains on the **input side** for one release
(`CreateFieldInput`, `UpdateFieldInput`, `FieldFilter`, `ObjectFilter`),
keeping the schema shape identical to main for those members. On create
it acts as a legacy alias mapped to `!isUIReadOnly` (`isUIEditable` wins
when both are provided); on update it is ignored, exactly as on main (it
was never an editable property). Filtering on the deprecated member
keeps working until the column is dropped at upgrade time; after that it
is a deprecated no-op surface kept only for schema compatibility.

**Removal plan for next release: drop `isUIReadOnly` from the output
DTOs (and resolvers' `@ResolveField`s), from the input/filter types,
from the create-input mapping, and the `@WasRemovedInUpgrade`-retained
entity columns and decorators.**

## ⚠️ Webhook / database-event payload shape change

The `database-event-payload` type in `twenty-shared` got a clean rename
(no alias): metadata snapshots in webhook and database-event payloads
now carry `isUIEditable` (and `isUICreatable` at object level) **instead
of** `isUIReadOnly`, with inverted polarity. Consumers of these payloads
that read `isUIReadOnly` must switch to `isUIEditable`.

## New manifest properties (app-developer DX)

Application developers can now set these flags in their app manifests
(purely additive — existing manifests and older `twenty-sdk` versions
are unaffected, defaults apply when omitted):

- `objects[].isUICreatable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `objects[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)
- `fields[].isUIEditable?: boolean` (default `true`)

The manifest converters previously hardcoded `isUIReadOnly: false`; they
now read the manifest values with `?? true` defaults. The types are
re-exported through `twenty-sdk` from `twenty-shared`.

## Migration & backfill

- One fast instance command: adds `isUIEditable` (NOT NULL default
`true`) on `core."objectMetadata"` and `core."fieldMetadata"`, backfills
`isUIEditable = false` exactly where `isUIReadOnly = true`, drops
`isUIReadOnly`, and adds `isUICreatable` (default `true`) on
`objectMetadata`. The `down` is the exact inverse. Uses `ADD/DROP COLUMN
IF (NOT) EXISTS`, matching the 2-12 drop-`isCustom` precedent. Verified
up and down in separate transactions against a dev database with exact
backfill counts.
- **Cross-version upgrade safety (multi-version self-hosted jumps):**
the upgrade sequence interleaves per version (instance → workspace
commands), so pre-2.13 workspace commands run **before** the 2.13 rename
when an old instance jumps several versions. Following the `isCustom`
precedent: `isUIEditable`/`isUICreatable` are marked
`@WasIntroducedInUpgrade` and `isUIReadOnly` stays on both entities as
`@WasRemovedInUpgrade`, so the upgrade-aware entity metadata adapter
hides the not-yet-existing columns (and keeps the legacy column live) at
pre-2.13 cursors. **No committed upgrade command outside the 2-13
directory is modified**: the old 1-21/2-8/2-9 commands keep their
original `isUIReadOnly: true` inputs, which still compile (entity
property retained, deprecated create-input alias mapped) and still
produce the correct legacy column writes pre-rename.
- A 2-13 workspace command (`sync-standard-ui-capability-flags`)
re-syncs `isUICreatable` **and** `isUIEditable` on standard objects and
`isUIEditable` on standard fields from the standard-application
definitions. This backfills `isUICreatable: false` on
`workflowRun`/`workflowVersion`/`workspaceMember` and heals fields
created mid-cross-upgrade by pre-2.13 commands (whose hidden
`isUIEditable` value cannot reach the insert). Both 2-13 sync commands
pass `isSystemBuild: true` — the flat metadata validator otherwise
rejects direct updates to system objects (verified against a
deliberately drifted dev database; the run is idempotent).
- A second 2-13 workspace command re-syncs the create-record command
availability expression.

## Testing

- Unit tests for `canCreateRecordsForObjectMetadataItem`
(flag/permission/system combinations) and for the manifest converters
(flags set / omitted → defaults).
- Full `upgrade --dry-run` boots the sequence (107 steps) and validates
the upgrade-aware decorator references; both 2-13 sync commands verified
end to end against real drift and re-run idempotently.
- Schema verified by live introspection after the input-alias restore:
all four input/filter members match main, output deprecations intact;
frontend metadata types and `twenty-client-sdk` schema regenerated from
the running server.
- Read-only-related and touched jest suites pass on both packages;
typecheck and lint pass on `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`.

Thomas Trompette ba94c3b857 feat(workflow): idempotent stop + retry failed runs from failing step (#21458)
https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5a25396f-8959-4bd8-93cb-1187559ffe5f

## Summary

Two workflow-run improvements, with all non-trivial logic isolated in
pure, unit-tested utils.

### 1. Idempotent stop
`stopWorkflowRun` no longer throws when a run is already in a terminal
status (`COMPLETED` / `FAILED` / `STOPPED`) or already `STOPPING`; it
returns the run unchanged. This fixes:
- bulk stop aborting on the first non-stoppable run in a
mixed/select-all selection,
- the click-vs-processing race on a single run (run finishes between
click and mutation).

It also releases the cached not-started throttle slot when stopping a
`NOT_STARTED` run (prevents counter drift), and ends runs with no
`state` directly.

### 2. Retry a failed run from the failing step
New `retryWorkflowRun` mutation (same guards/passthrough as
`stopWorkflowRun`). It resets the failed step(s) to `NOT_STARTED`, flips
the run to `RUNNING`, and enqueues a `RunWorkflowJob` with the steps to
re-execute; downstream execution and status computation are unchanged.

Logic lives in pure utils:
- `build-retry-step-infos.util.ts` - decides per failed step what to
reset; delegates iterator-specific logic to
`build-retry-iterator-step-infos.util.ts` (an iterator that failed
mid-loop is restored to `RUNNING` with cursor preserved, an iterator
that failed itself restarts its whole loop).
- `get-runnable-step-ids.util.ts` - reuses the executor's
`shouldExecuteStep` to also resume branches that never started (avoids
hangs), excluding loop-interior steps.

The service method only orchestrates; the job's status check is a race
guard (retriability is enforced in the service before enqueue).

A "Retry" command menu item surfaces only for `FAILED` runs
(`someEquals(selectedRecords, "status", "FAILED")`).

### 3. Keep the run diagram visible across regenerations
The run diagram is regenerated on every run state change, producing
fresh nodes without the dimensions Reactflow had measured. Reactflow
hides unmeasured nodes until it re-measures them, so the diagram could
flicker and disappear when the last regeneration before going idle left
nodes unmeasured (reproducible after retrying a failed run). The
regenerated nodes now carry over the previously measured dimensions (by
id) so they stay rendered.

## Test plan
- [x] Unit tests for both retry utils (9 cases: plain failed step,
non-failed untouched, iterator mid-loop restore, iterator self-failure,
frontier parent gating, entry steps, loop-interior exclusion, parallel
branches)
- [x] `twenty-server` + `twenty-front` typecheck
- [x] `lint:diff-with-main` clean for both packages
- [x] Manual: retry a failed run repeatedly and confirm the diagram
stays visible
- [ ] Manual: stop a COMPLETED/mixed selection (no error), retry a
failed run and confirm it resumes from the failing step

Thomas Trompette a8a8bbb2ed feat(workflow): add offset to Find Records node for pagination (#21484)
<img width="471" height="362" alt="Capture d’écran 2026-06-12 à 15 38
45"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/9656d3a6-6f56-4587-add6-55c0a0a32482"
/>

## Summary

The workflow Find Records (search) node previously exposed only
`objectName`, `filter`, `sort`, and `limit` (capped at
`QUERY_MAX_RECORDS` = 200), with no way to page beyond the first page of
results.

This adds an optional **Offset** to the node so a workflow can fetch an
arbitrary page (`offset = pageIndex * limit`) while keeping the same
filter and sort. The underlying `FindRecordsService` already accepts
`offset` (it forwards it to the query runner's `skip`, and stabilizes
ordering with an `id` tiebreaker), so this change just threads `offset`
through the remaining layers:

- `workflowFindRecordsActionSettingsSchema` (shared zod schema) — new
optional `offset`
- `FindRecordsInput` type — new optional `offset?: number`
- `find-records.workflow-action.ts` — forwards `offset` to
`FindRecordsService.execute`
- `WorkflowEditActionFindRecords.tsx` — new "Offset" number input
(non-negative, defaults to 0) with form state + persistence
- Default `FIND_RECORDS` step settings — `offset: 0`

### Notes / non-goals
- Offset-only, single page: the node returns one page. Looping over all
pages inside one run is not included (the Iterator action loops a static
array and cannot re-query). The node output already returns
`totalCount`, so a workflow can compute total pages as `ceil(totalCount
/ limit)`.
- Offset on very large/changing datasets can be slow or skip/duplicate
rows; cursor/keyset pagination would be a future follow-up.

## Test plan
- [x] Create a Find Records node, set Limit=50, Offset=0 → returns first
page
- [x] Set Offset=50 with the same filter/sort → returns the second page
(no overlap)
- [x] Negative offset shows a validation error and is not saved
- [x] Existing Find Records nodes (no offset stored) still run,
defaulting to offset 0
- [x] Typecheck/lint pass in CI

Raphaël Bosi bd4161a905 Show app logo on workflow logic function nodes (#21482)
Workflow `LOGIC_FUNCTION` action nodes (functions provided by an
installed app) previously rendered a generic ƒ icon in the diagram. They
now display the owning app's logo instead.

The node's logic function id is resolved to its `applicationId` and
rendered via the existing `AppChip`. When no app can be resolved (e.g.
the logic function isn't loaded yet, or has no application), it falls
back to the original ƒ icon, so nodes never look broken. Inline `CODE`
actions are unchanged.

Raphaël Bosi c4453923f0 Update CI: Argos visual regression for twenty-front storybook (#21454)
## What

Adds Argos visual regression for `twenty-front`, reusing the storybook
CI already builds and the existing sharded test matrix. Stories in the
`modules` and `pages` scopes are captured as PNGs during
`front-sb-test`, merged into one artifact, and pixel-diffed against
`main` on the self-hosted Argos with results posted as a PR comment —
same pipeline as `twenty-ui` (#21210 / #21262).

## How

- **Capture**: `@argos-ci/storybook` vitest plugin, same setup as
`twenty-ui`. Skipped for `performance` stories (nondeterministic
profiling reports). Freezes framer-motion to avoid flaky diffs (#21412).
- **Sharding**: each modules/pages shard uploads a partial artifact; a
new `front-sb-screenshots` job merges them into
`argos-screenshots-twenty-front` (`overwrite: true` so re-runs work).
- **Baselines**: `CI Front` now runs on `push: main` — Argos resolves
base builds by exact merge-base commit, so every main commit needs a
build (#21217/#21222 pattern). Main pushes get a per-SHA concurrency
group so back-to-back merges can't cancel queued runs and leave baseline
gaps; the `performance` scope is dropped on push.
- **Dispatch**: `visual-regression-dispatch.yaml` watches `CI Front` →
`project=twenty-front`.

## Rollout

- Prod Argos project `twenty-front` created (id 68) +
`ARGOS_TOKEN_FRONT` secret set
- Merge the twentyhq/ci-privileged companion PR **before** this one
- First PR builds show as *orphan* until the first main push creates a
baseline
(expected, same as the twenty-ui rollout)

Etienne fefd9d7704 feat(workflow) - Add validation layer (#21422)
Add workflow validation framework and consolidate output schema
types/search logic into twenty-shared

This PR introduces a comprehensive workflow validation system that
catches configuration errors at build-time, and consolidates the
fragmented output-schema type definitions and variable-search logic from
the front-end into twenty-shared

**Workflow validation** — A new system that checks workflows for errors
before activation: graph connectivity (unreachable steps, dangling
references), step parameter schemas (via Zod), variable references
(typos, wrong step order), and workspace metadata (non-existent
objects). Returns structured errors/warnings with "did you mean?"
suggestions. Runs automatically after create_complete_workflow and
update_workflow_version_step, and is also available as a standalone
validate_workflow tool.

**Output schema consolidation** — Moves all output schema types and the
variable-search logic from scattered front-end files into twenty-shared,
replacing ~800 lines of duplicated per-schema-type code with a single
unified searchVariableInOutputSchema dispatcher.

Charles Bochet 184c4948d6 security: strip Node dev headers from images + lingui 5.9.5 (drops vulnerable esbuild) (#21448)
## Context

AWS Inspector flags the `prod-twenty` image (built from current main)
with 16 findings, and Dependabot alert 174 flags esbuild. This PR fixes
the OpenSSL scanner findings and the esbuild CVE. The typeorm bump
(CVE-2025-60542) was **pulled out of this PR** — see "typeorm status"
below.

## Changes

### Strip `/usr/local/include/node` from runtime stages
(`twenty-server`, `twenty-app-dev`)
15 OpenSSL CVEs (June 9 advisory, incl. CRITICAL CVE-2026-34182) are all
detected via **Node's bundled OpenSSL dev headers**: 3 GENERIC
`openssl/openssl` 3.5.6 detections per CVE at
`/usr/local/include/node/openssl/archs/linux-x86_64/{asm,asm_avx2,no-asm}/include/openssl/opensslv.h`.
The headers are only needed by node-gyp and native addons are compiled
in the build stages — nothing compiles at runtime. Dropping them clears
all 45 detection instances and permanently ends this class of finding
(third occurrence: 3.5.5 → 3.5.6 → 3.5.7). None of these CVEs are
reachable through Node (no CMS/PKCS#7 API, `pfx` is operator-supplied,
Node's QUIC uses ngtcp2, ASN.1 issues need ~2GB inputs).

**Follow-up (~June 17, 2026):** the `node` binary itself still
statically links OpenSSL 3.5.6 — invisible to the scanner after this PR
and unreachable in practice, but the real fix is bumping the pinned
`node:24-alpine` digest once the [announced June 17 Node.js security
releases](https://nodejs.org/en/blog/vulnerability/june-2026-security-releases)
ship a 24.x linking OpenSSL ≥ 3.5.7 (verify via
`deps/openssl/openssl/VERSION.dat` on the release tag — 24.16.0 is still
on 3.5.6). A dated TODO sits next to the cleanup in the Dockerfile.

### esbuild dev-server CORS CVE (Dependabot alert 174,
GHSA-67mh-4wv8-2f99)
`@lingui/cli@5.1.2` (pins `esbuild ^0.21.5`) was the last parent
resolving a vulnerable esbuild (≤ 0.24.2 lets any website send requests
to the dev server and read responses). Instead of a resolution override,
this bumps the lockstepped **lingui suite 5.1.2 → 5.9.5** (within-major;
lingui adopted `esbuild ^0.25.1` in 5.4.1), which:

- removes `esbuild@0.21.5` and all its platform packages from the
lockfile with no forced ranges;
- drops the `@lingui/core` lockstep resolution (its comment marked it
droppable on the next coordinated lingui bump — the tree now resolves a
single `@lingui/core@5.9.5`);
- `@lingui/swc-plugin` stays at `^5.11.0` (peers on `@lingui/core: 5`;
its 6.x line targets lingui 6).

**lingui 5.9.5 behavioral fallout handled here:**
- Translation functions now **throw without an active locale** (5.1.2
fell back silently). The global `i18n` singleton that backs server-side
`` t`…` `` calls only had a messages compiler set, never an activated
locale → activate the source locale in `I18nService.loadTranslations()`,
mirrored in the server jest setup (unit tests bypass Nest bootstrap).
- `msg`/`t` placeholders are now strictly typed (reject
`null`/`undefined`/`unknown`) → one server call site and 16 twenty-front
files adapted with minimal nullish-coalescing fixes that preserve
rendering.
- `.po`/compiled-catalog churn from the new extractor/compiler
(reference reordering, sorted keys — verified content-identical on
unchanged `.po` inputs) is intentionally not committed: the scheduled
i18n workflows regenerate those.

## typeorm status (pulled out)

typeorm 0.3.20 → 0.3.26 was originally in this PR but **made workspace
metadata sync intermittently lossy**: `example-app-postcard` failed
twice with a *different* field missing from the synced PostCard object
each run, and one integration shard's `DataSeedWorkspaceCommand` died
with "Could not find flat entity with universal identifier …" — versus
zero such failures on recent main. Local runs (db reset + seed, group-by
integration suite 19/19) pass, so it is a nondeterministic
CI-load-sensitive regression that needs dedicated debugging (typeorm
changed LIMIT/OFFSET 0 semantics, lazy count for `getManyAndCount`,
upsert WHERE construction, and topological-sort internals in that
range). The resolutions comment documents this as the blocker;
CVE-2025-60542 is MySQL-driver-only (`sqlstring`), so Postgres-only
Twenty is not exposed in the meantime.

## Verification

- `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` / `twenty-front` — clean (no cache)
- `npx nx test twenty-server` — full suite green
- `lingui:extract` + `lingui:compile` — clean for twenty-server /
twenty-emails / twenty-front
- `oxfmt --check` — clean for both packages
- Lockfile diff: lingui 5.9.5 entries, `esbuild@0.21.5` +
`@esbuild/*@0.21.5` platform packages removed, no typeorm changes

Raphaël Bosi c596a5e342 Rename twenty-ui to twenty-ui-deprecated and twenty-new-ui to twenty-ui to prepare package release (#21315)
## Description

Promotes the next-gen UI library (formerly `twenty-new-ui`) to the name
**`twenty-ui`** (v0.1.0, publishable) and renames the old package to
**`twenty-ui-deprecated`**. Rewrites ~1,730 `twenty-ui` imports →
`twenty-ui-deprecated`, updates all configs/CI/Docker/deps, and migrates
twenty-front's `Toggle` to the new package (first consumer) as a
drop-in.

## Next steps
- Wire the `ui/v*` publish dispatch (`cd-deploy-tag.yaml` +
`.yarnrc.yml`), then tag `ui/v0.1.0` to publish.
- Continue migrating components from `twenty-ui-deprecated` →
`twenty-ui`.

Thomas Trompette 4e1cc2d831 fix: prevent workflow from disappearing after activation (#21231)
## Summary
- Fixes a regression from #21176 where activating a workflow caused it
to disappear until page refresh
- Root cause: when a draft is activated (status DRAFT→ACTIVE),
`useEffectiveDraftVersionId` incorrectly treated it as a discard because
the cached version was no longer DRAFT, filtering it from the versions
list
- Fix: only set `lastDiscardedDraftId` when `deletedAt` is actually set
on the cached version, not when the status simply changes

## Test plan
- [x] Open a workflow with a DRAFT version
- [x] Activate the workflow → verify it does NOT disappear
- [x] Discard a draft → verify header does NOT flicker between
DRAFT/ACTIVE

Marie 4b15b949f3 Provide additional logsobservability to workflow runs (per node) (#21142)
Surfaces per-step "Logs" tabs in the workflow run side panel so users
can see what each step actually did (model + tokens + tool calls for AI,
console output for serverless functions, request/response for HTTP,
recipients/body for Email).

<img width="546" height="501" alt="ai_agent_without_websearch"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c6ca3518-9489-4484-a570-3d0569ff3b03"
/>

## Storage

- New `stepLogs` JSONB column on the `workflowRun` workspace entity,
typed as `Record<string, WorkflowRunStepLog>` (keyed by step id).
- Schema lives in `twenty-shared`: `workflowRunStepLogSchema` with a
discriminated `details.type` union for `AI_AGENT | CODE | HTTP_REQUEST |
EMAIL` — frontends and backends consume the same Zod-inferred type.
- Field is added to existing workspaces via a workspace upgrade command
(`2-9 add-workflow-run-step-logs-field`); the standard-object metadata
declares it for new workspaces.
- Writes happen atomically per step in
`WorkflowRunStepLogWorkspaceService.setStepLog` using `jsonb_set`. That
lets concurrent steps in the same run write their own keys without
contending with the existing lock around `workflowRun.state`.
- Per-step payload is hard-capped at 256 KB; anything larger is dropped
with a `logger.warn`, so a pathological tool call can never bloat a row.
See below for more information.

## How logs are produced

**Aalmost everything was already being collected; this PR mostly
persists and renders it.**

- **AI agent** — `AgentAsyncExecutorService` already tracked token
usage, model id, native web-search count, and the AI SDK's `steps[]`. We
map those into the log via `mapAiStepsToToolCallLogs` (`searchVector`
stripped from record outputs, per-call input/output capped at 32/64 KB,
max 200 tool calls per step). The only new measurement is a wall-clock
`durationMs` taken around `executeAgent`, and we now fold native
web-search cost into the displayed `totalCostInDollars` (it was already
billed, just not shown).
- **Code / serverless function** — reuses the `console.log` output the
function runner already returns (`logsByLevel`);
`build-code-step-log.util` only repackages it.
- **HTTP request** — built from the action's existing input/output via
`build-http-request-step-log.util`. No new signals collected.
- **Email (send / draft)** — added `sanitizedHtmlBody` + `plainTextBody`
to the existing tool outputs (a small additive change), then
`build-email-step-log.util` consumes them.

No additional AI inference or external calls are made for logging — the
cost is a small CPU overhead per step plus the JSONB write.

## Security

The log surface intentionally shows whatever the workflow touched, which
made redaction and sanitization the main design concern.

- **HTTP — secrets in headers**: existing `SENSITIVE_HEADER_NAMES` set
(Authorization, Cookie, …) replaced with `[redacted]` in both request
and response.
- **HTTP — secrets in URLs**: `SENSITIVE_URL_PARAM_NAMES` (e.g.
`api_key`, `token`, `access_token`) replaced in the query string via
`URL`-based parsing.
- **HTTP — secrets in bodies**: `SENSITIVE_BODY_KEY_REGEX` deep-walks
JSON request/response bodies (object input or stringified JSON) and
redacts matching keys. Applied to the `error` field too, since
transport-layer errors sometimes embed structured payloads.
- **Email — XSS risk in body preview**: tool outputs now expose a
server-side `sanitizedHtmlBody`; the log builder prefers it over the raw
user-authored `input.body`, with `plainTextBody` as a second fallback.
The original raw body is only used if sanitization didn't happen (e.g.
tool failed before composing).
- **AI — internal/noisy data**: `searchVector` (Postgres tsvector
strings) is stripped from record outputs returned by Twenty tools to
avoid leaking internal full-text-search payloads.
- **DB bloat / runaway agents**: 256 KB per-step cap + 32 KB / 64 KB
per-tool-call input/output cap + 200 tool calls per step.

## More details on Log size & truncation

Logs are stored in `workflowRun.stepLogs` (JSONB), keyed by `stepId`.

### Per-step cap

Each step's log is hard-capped at **256 KB** (`MAX_STEP_LOG_BYTES` in
`WorkflowRunStepLogWorkspaceService.setStepLog`).

For ~99% of workflows this is roomy — typical real-world sizes:
- Code / serverless function: 1–20 KB
- HTTP request: 5–70 KB
- Email: 5–30 KB
- AI agent (a handful of tool calls): 5–50 KB

### Two layers of bounding

1. **Per-field truncation** in each builder (before writing):
   - **Code**: ≤ 500 entries, ≤ 4 KB per message, ≤ 8 KB stack trace
   - **HTTP**: ≤ 32 KB per body (request + response), UTF-8 byte-aware
   - **Email**: ≤ 8 KB body preview, UTF-8 byte-aware
- **AI agent**: ≤ 32 KB tool input, ≤ 64 KB tool output, ≤ 200 tool
calls/step

2. **Global per-step safety net** at write time: if the assembled
`stepLog` still exceeds 256 KB, the write is **dropped entirely** with a
`logger.warn`. The workflow itself keeps running unaffected.

### What this means in practice

- **Safe**: workflow execution, step results, downstream steps — never
blocked by log size.
- **Safe**: iterators (each iteration overwrites the previous log for
that `stepId`, so they can't accumulate).
- **Safe**: step retries (same `stepId` is overwritten, not appended).
- **Possible**: an AI agent step with many large tool outputs (e.g., 50+
heavy `web_search` calls) can exceed 256 KB → the **entire** step's log
is dropped, side panel shows "No logs were recorded for this step". The
user has no explicit signal that the log was dropped due to size (only
server-side warn).
- **Possible** (theoretical): a workflow with hundreds of distinct steps
could push the row toward Postgres's internal ~256 MB jsonb limit.
Beyond that, individual `jsonb_set` writes would error and be swallowed
by the action's try/catch — workflow still completes.

### Possible future hardening (not in this PR)

- Replace "drop entire log" with a stub that preserves the summary card
(cost, duration, status) and marks `truncated.reason = 'size_cap'`.
- Surface size-drops in the UI (similar to the existing
`<StyledTruncatedNotice>`).
- Emit a metric so dropped logs are observable in dashboards.

Thomas Trompette ac0368e876 fix: eliminate workflow editing flicker on active-to-draft transitions (#21176)
## Before

## After

https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0a78d1e1-354f-4f3f-8ec4-6f46517619e4

## Summary
- Fixes visual flickering/glitching in the workflow show page header and
canvas when editing an active workflow or discarding a draft
- Root cause: SSE events re-added discarded drafts to Apollo cache, and
multiple hook instances had independent state causing version
oscillation between DRAFT and ACTIVE
- Rewrites `useWorkflowWithCurrentVersion` with a module-level
`discardedDraftId` variable shared across all instances, Apollo cache
seeding in mutation callbacks, and `lastValidResult` caching to prevent
null renders

## Test plan
- [x] Open a workflow show page with an ACTIVE workflow
- [x] Drag a node to change position → verify no flicker, status shows
DRAFT smoothly
- [x] Discard the draft → verify header does NOT flicker between
DRAFT/ACTIVE, position resets cleanly
- [x] Click on manual trigger and edit settings → verify the edit works
(draft created, settings saved)

Marie 66afd5a1de Fix array-typed parameters in code/logic-function action forms (#21102)
## Problem

`any[]` type prevented value input:

/>

In the workflow Code action (and the Logic Function action), parameters
typed as any[], string[], etc. rendered as an empty grey box instead of
an "Enter value" text input. After any debounced save, even a properly
initialised array field would also collapse into an empty container.

The Array<T> / ReadonlyArray<T> generic form fell through to a generic
text input by accident (which "looked" right, but for the wrong reason —
no schema info downstream).

## Root causes
Three places treated arrays as plain objects via @sniptt/guards'
isObject (which is true for arrays):

1. WorkflowEditActionCodeFields.tsx — arrays went into the nested-fields
branch; Object.entries([]) is empty → empty container, no placeholder.
2. mergeDefaultFunctionInputAndFunctionInput.ts — recursed into arrays
during merge, turning [] into {}. Triggered on every debounced save, so
the bug surfaced after any edit.
3. get-function-input-schema.ts — only handled T[]
(SyntaxKind.ArrayType); Array<T> (SyntaxKind.TypeReference) was
unrecognised, so the form lost any item-type info.

Thomas Trompette bc1b7f6fdf fix: resolve workflow form step auto-open race condition (#21053)
## Summary
- Fix intermittent failure where the Quick Lead workflow form step did
not auto-open
- Root cause: race conditions between SSE events, Apollo cache writes,
and the `runWorkflowVersion` mutation timing
- Add generic monotonicity guard in the SSE handler that drops stale
updates for all records (not just WorkflowRun)

## Changes
- **`useTriggerOptimisticEffectFromSseUpdateEvents.ts`**: Compare
incoming `updatedAt` with cached record before writing — skip if stale.
Moved `upsertRecordsInStore` after the guard so neither Apollo cache nor
Jotai store receive stale data.
- **`useRunWorkflowVersion.tsx`**: Await mutation before opening side
panel; register SSE listener eagerly before mutation
- **`useWorkflowRun.ts`**: Simplified back to plain `useFindOneRecord` +
schema parse (no extra state needed)
- **`generateWorkflowRunDiagram.ts`**: `shouldOpenStep` matches both
PENDING and RUNNING for form steps (backend RUNNING means "waiting for
user input")
- **`WorkflowRunVisualizerEffect.tsx`**: Pass `runStatus` directly
without status mapping
- **`WorkflowRunStepNodeDetail.tsx`**: Form is interactive when step is
PENDING or RUNNING
- **Deleted `latestWorkflowRunFamilyState.ts`**: No longer needed — the
generic SSE guard replaces it

## Test plan
- [x] Hard refresh, run Quick Lead workflow 10+ times — form should
always auto-open
- [x] Complete the form and verify all subsequent steps execute without
getting stuck
- [x] Verify the workflow diagram is always visible (never disappears)
- [x] Verify other record types still update correctly via SSE (e.g.
edit a person in another tab)
