[WIP] Feat/marketing emails (#21173)
Marketing/campaign emails on top of the emailing-domain (SES) feature:
send a broadcast to a hand-picked list, with per-customer-domain
unsubscribe links and opt-out-only **unsubscribe topics**.
## Model
Standard objects (workspace schema, flat-metadata):
- `messageCampaign` — a campaign send (subject, body template, from
address, status, list, optional unsubscribe topic).
- `messageList` + `messageListMember` — the hand-picked audience (person
↔ list join). A campaign's recipients are its list's members; everyone
is sendable unless suppressed.
Core entities (`core` schema, workspace-scoped — readable by the public
unsubscribe flow without a workspace context):
- `unsubscribeTopic` — an opt-out-only category (name, description,
visibility). There is no opt-in subscription state.
- `messageSuppression` — the single consent store: a row with
`unsubscribeTopicId` NULL is a global block; a row with an
`unsubscribeTopicId` and reason `UNSUBSCRIBE` is a per-topic opt-out.
Two partial unique indexes dedupe global vs per-topic rows (Postgres
treats NULLs as distinct).
- `emailingDomain` — the workspace's SES sending domain,
auto-provisioned when an email channel is added (and cleaned up when its
last channel is removed), with verification status + DNS records.
Campaign messages reuse the existing `message` / `messageThread` /
`messageParticipant` model — one outbound `message` per recipient with a
`deliveryStatus` state machine.
## Sending
- `sendMessageCampaign` resolves the audience **under the caller's
permissions**, creates the campaign, and enqueues a single fan-out job
(the request never materializes per-recipient rows or jobs).
- The fan-out job materializes one QUEUED message per recipient
(deterministic ids → idempotent re-runs, reconciles crash-orphaned rows)
and fans out per-recipient send jobs carrying **only ids**.
- Each send job renders per-recipient `{{variable}}` merge fields and
sends via `EmailingDomainSenderService`, which applies suppression
(global + per-topic) and the unsubscribe footer/headers. Suppressed
recipients are recorded `SKIPPED`.
- The campaign finalizes `SENT`, or `SENT_WITH_ERRORS` if any recipient
terminally failed.
- `previewMessageCampaignAudience` returns a pre-send breakdown (total /
without-email / duplicate / globally-unsubscribed / topic-unsubscribed /
sendable), shown as a hint under the composer pickers.
## Unsubscribe
- Encrypted (AES-256-GCM) token carrying workspaceId, address, optional
`unsubscribeTopicId`, `issuedAt`, and a `preview` flag.
- One-click POST (RFC 8058) + `mailto:` — topic-scoped when the token
carries a topic, global otherwise.
- Preferences page: a checkbox per visible topic (checked = still
receiving); submitting creates per-topic opt-outs for unchecked topics
and lifts re-checked ones (UNSUBSCRIBE only — never
`BOUNCE`/`COMPLAINT`, never a global block).
- A **Preview** action in settings opens the live page via a
preview-claim token; opt-out POSTs are no-ops for preview tokens, so
previewing never mutates state.
- SES webhooks: inbound unsubscribe + outbound bounce/complaint →
suppression (race-safe against at-least-once delivery, with reason
escalation that never downgrades).
- Per-customer unsubscribe hostname (Cloudflare DNS); sends are gated on
it being active, except in LOG/demo mode.
## Architecture
Campaign orchestration, suppression, the sender, the unsubscribe
controller, and the SES webhook handlers live in `src/modules/emailing`
+ `src/modules/messaging-webhooks` (the workspace-feature layer).
`core-modules/emailing-domain` keeps the SES driver, domain
provisioning, the `unsubscribeTopic` / `messageSuppression` core
entities, and the unsubscribe token/hostname plumbing. Domain creation
is validated (`CreateEmailingDomainInput` — domain-format regex,
lowercased) before any value reaches SES or the unsubscribe hostname.
## Frontend
- Campaign composer side panel (from / list / unsubscribe topic /
subject / body) with a live audience-preview hint.
- Email settings: email channels each showing their auto-provisioned
sending domain in a single section (status + DNS records + a "Check
verification" action), plus an **Unsubscribe Topics** section to
create/manage topics and preview the recipient page. A demo-mode banner
is shown when the LOG driver is active.

Refactor and standardize isSystem field and object (#17992)

Allow custom fields to be editable for system objects and prevent the error for timeline activity on system object pages. (#16268)
Solves #16015 - Added a check in `useTimelineActivities.ts` to see if the system object page we're viewing has timelineActivity being tracked before querying to get the activity history. - Removed @WorkspaceIsObjectUIReadOnly decorator from system objects and added @WorkspaceIsFieldUIReadOnly to standard and system fields to allow custom field edits as requested in the issue. - Did not add calendarEvents or other system objects to timelineActivity just yet since keeping track of timeline activity for every one of them felt counter-intuitive and bloated. In order to determine which objects need timelineActivity, I think we need to fix the broken views of system objects first, such as the one in the attached screenshots - a good number of them are broken. The check I added to `useTimelineActivities.ts` hook displays timeline activity as empty for the time - error would not be shown as suggested by Thomas. <img width="1062" height="858" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e877e0fe-b665-46e3-b785-e84f2af7f833" /> <br /> <img width="1061" height="858" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0eba8c1c-444a-4b13-beda-64b95cf39077" /> - Editing custom fields on calendar events (and other objects without position fields) crashed with TypeError: Cannot convert undefined or null to object in sortCachedObjectEdges. This happened because some cached queries had empty orderBy arrays ([]), and the optimistic effect tried to sort with them. Objects without position fields returned empty orderBy arrays when there were no sorts, while objects with position fields automatically got [{ position: 'AscNullsFirst' }]. The backend always adds { id: 'AscNullsFirst' } as a fallback, but the frontend didn't match this. Finalize twenty standard app as workspace migration object and fields (#16353)
# Introduction Related to https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/1995 In this PR we're fixing the remaining object/fields validation errors resulting from standard objects and fields now passing a validation that wasn't when using the sync metadata ## Key Changes - **Field naming**: Renamed `iCalUID` to `iCalUid` for consistent camelCase convention across calendar events - **Enum standardization**: Uppercased enum values for message channels (email→EMAIL), message participants (from→FROM, to→TO, cc→CC, bcc→BCC), and message direction (incoming→INCOMING, outgoing→OUTGOING) - **Label simplification**: Removed example values from workspace member number format labels for cleaner UI - **Migration infrastructure**: Added `isSystemBuild` flag throughout field metadata service pipeline to allow system-level updates of standard fields that bypass normal restrictions ## Migrating the existing data We've created an upgrade command that will identify using the existing object and field standard id field that needs to be updated, even though the sync metadata still in usage could have fix them ( and the goal is to deprecate it by the end of the sprint ) We will call the updateOneField for each of them, we're passing by the field service in order to battle test what are going to be the temporary way to handle standard migrations when we will start deprecating the sync metadata but haven't still refactored the v2 workspace migration to be workspace agnostic ## Twenty standard and workspace custom applications 1/3 (#15625)
# Introduction related to https://github.com/twentyhq/core-team-issues/issues/1833 In this PR we're starting the sync-metadata and standardIds deprecation by introducing `twenty-standard` application that will regroup every standard object such as company and opportunities. But also the `custom-workspace-application` which is an app created at the same time as a workspace and that will regroup everything configure within the workspace ( custom objects fields etc ) ## What's done On both new workspace and seeded workspace creation: - Creating a custom workspace app - Creating a twenty standard app - Refactored the seed core schema and workspace creation to be run within a transaction in order to handle circular dependency foreignkey requirements ( which is deferred for app toward workspace ) - Updated workspace entity to have a custom workspace relation ( nullable for the moment until we implem an upgrade command to handle retro comp ) - Integration testing on user, workspace creation deletion and expected default apps creation - ~~Soft deleted user on `deleteUser`~~ Done by marie and rebased on it ## What's next - Update seeder to propagate the `twenty-standard` workspace `applicationId` to every standard synchronized entities ( cheap and fast iteration through the about to be deprecated sync-metadata as an easy way to synchronize standards metadata entities ). - Update seeder to propagate the `custom-workspace-application` workspace `applicationId` to anything custom ( `pets` and `rockets` ) - Prepend `custom-workspace-application` `applicationId` to every metadata API operations ( create a specific cache etc ) - Upgrade command on all existing workspace to create a custom app and associate its applicationId to any existing custom entities - Make `universalIdentifier` and `applicationId` required for any syncable entity |

Refactor object metadata service (#8123)
## Context ObjectMetadataService became quite large and handles too many responsibilities. I'm trying to refactor a bit this part in preparation of a larger work that will combine object-metadata services and sync-metadata logic - Created a STANDARD_OBJECT_ICONS that can be reused in relation creation to refer to a standard object icon. - Created a STANDARD_OBJECT_FIELD_IDS that can be used with an object name to get its standard field ids. - Moved migration, record and relation creations to dedicated services, refactored to improve performances and readability - Refactored some validation logic --------- Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> |

Add label identifier to object decorator (#6227)
## Context LabelIdentifier and ImageIdentifier are metadata info attached to objectMetadata that are used to display a record in a more readable way. Those columns point to existing fields that are part of the object. For example, for a relation picker of a person, we will show a record using the "name" labelIdentifier and the "avatarUrl" imageIdentifier. <img width="215" alt="Screenshot 2024-07-11 at 18 45 51" src="https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/assets/1834158/488f8294-0d7c-4209-b763-2499716ef29d"> Currently, the FE has a specific logic for company and people objects and we have a way to update this value via the API for custom objects, but the code is not flexible enough to change other standard objects. This PR updates the WorkspaceEntity API so we can now provide the labelIdentifier and imageIdentifier in the WorkspaceEntity decorator. feat: manually implement joinColumn (#6022)
This PR introduce a new decorator named `@WorkspaceJoinColumn`, the goal
of this one is to manually declare the join columns inside the workspace
entities, so we don't have to rely on `ObjectRecord` type.
This decorator can be used that way:

feat: drop calendar repository (#5824)
This PR is replacing and removing all the raw queries and repositories with the new `TwentyORM` and injection system using `@InjectWorkspaceRepository`. Some logic that was contained inside repositories has been moved to the services. Rework messaging modules (#5710)
In this PR, I'm refactoring the messaging module into smaller pieces that have **ONE** responsibility: import messages, clean messages, handle message participant creation, instead of having ~30 modules (1 per service, jobs, cron, ...). This is mandatory to start introducing drivers (gmails, office365, ...) IMO. It is too difficult to enforce common interfaces as we have too many interfaces (30 modules...). All modules should not be exposed Right now, we have services that are almost functions: do-that-and-this.service.ts / do-that-and-this.module.ts I believe we should have something more organized at a high level and it does not matter that much if we have a bit of code duplicates. Note that the proposal is not fully implemented in the current PR that has only focused on messaging folder (biggest part) Here is the high level proposal: - connected-account: token-refresher - blocklist - messaging: message-importer, message-cleaner, message-participants, ... (right now I'm keeping a big messaging-common but this will disappear see below) - calendar: calendar-importer, calendar-cleaner, ... Consequences: 1) It's OK to re-implement several times some things. Example: - error handling in connected-account, messaging, and calendar instead of trying to unify. They are actually different error handling. The only things that might be in common is the GmailError => CommonError parsing and I'm not even sure it makes a lot of sense as these 3 apis might have different format actually - auto-creation. Calendar and Messaging could actually have different rules 2) **We should not have circular dependencies:** - I believe this was the reason why we had so many modules, to be able to cherry pick the one we wanted to avoid circular deps. This is not the right approach IMO, we need architect the whole messaging by defining high level blocks that won't have circular dependencies by design. If we encounter one, we should rethink and break the block in a way that makes sense. - ex: connected-account.resolver is not in the same module as token-refresher. ==> connected-account.resolver => message-importer (as we trigger full sync job when we connect an account) => token-refresher (as we refresh token on message import). connected-account.resolver and token-refresher both in connected-account folder but should be in different modules. Otherwise it's a circular dependency. It does not mean that we should create 1 module per service as it was done before In a nutshell: The code needs to be thought in term of reponsibilities and in a way that enforce high level interfaces (and avoid circular dependencies) Bonus: As you can see, this code is also removing a lot of code because of the removal of many .module.ts (also because I'm removing the sync scripts v2 feature flag end removing old code) Bonus: I have prefixed services name with Messaging to improve dev xp. GmailErrorHandler could be different between MessagingGmailErrorHandler and CalendarGmailErrorHandler for instance |
