Address #22827 review comments and converge application file endpoints (#22868)
Follow-up to #22827, addressing the review comments left around merge time and applying the endpoint convergence discussed afterwards. ## Review comments from #22827 - **Swallowed error in dev sync asset read** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571513265)): the swallow is intentional (a missing public asset must not fail the whole dev sync) but it now logs a warning with the asset path and error, and the registration keeps its previously stored file for that path instead of losing it. - **`isAbsoluteUrl` location** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571524234)): moved to `twenty-shared/utils/url`. The server, and now also `twenty-sdk`'s `normalize-application-assets`, use the shared util. - **Soft delete vs file cleanup** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571589558)): per review, deleting a registration is now a hard delete. Stored assets (bytes + rows) are deleted with it, dependent rows are removed by their existing FK cascades, and installed applications keep working with their registration link nulled. No soft-delete/cron mechanism. - **Asset cap too generous** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571595745)): lowered to 10MB per review and documented in the publishing and public-assets docs pages. - **One missing image retriggers a full asset sync** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571646243)): `storeRegistrationAssets` now takes `skipAlreadyStoredPaths`; the catalog sync passes it when the package version is unchanged, so only assets missing a stored file are fetched instead of re-downloading everything. - **`existing.logo` already contains the new logo** ([comment](https://github.com/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22827#discussion_r3571667847)): correct, `updateFromManifest` runs first, so the previous "keep fileId when the path did not change" guard compared the new logo against itself. The fileId preservation is now keyed on the stored server file for the exact path (files are unique per `(applicationRegistrationId, path)`): a changed logo path no longer inherits the old file's id, and a transient download failure on an unchanged path still keeps the working file. This also removed the fileId-preservation bookkeeping from `storeRegistrationAssets`. ## Endpoint convergence - **Path-addressed public route for registration assets**: `GET /file/server/application-registration/:fileId` is replaced by `GET /files/application-registrations/:registrationId/*path`, mirroring the manifest's public-folder paths and leaving room for a future `:version` segment. Assets stay addressable by stable ids server-side; the fileId now only marks a path as stored. No URL is ever persisted (all are built at query time), and the old route never shipped in a release, so there is nothing to migrate. - **`Application.logoUrl` resolved server-side**: new `ResolveField` on the `Application` type builds the `/public-assets/...` display URL (or passes absolute URLs through). `useApplicationChipData` now reads it from `currentWorkspace.installedApplications`, and the frontend `buildApplicationLogoUrl` util is deleted, so clients no longer construct file URLs themselves. ## Validation - Unit: `file.controller.spec` (route renamed, traversal case added), `server-file-storage.service.spec` (`findServerFile`, `deleteByApplicationRegistrationId`), `application-registration-asset-url.service.spec` (new URL shape, url-encoding), new `isAbsoluteUrl` test; all application/file suites pass. - Live against a local server: new route serves tarball and rehosted npm assets with `public, max-age=3600` (nested paths included), 404s on missing files, unknown registrations, traversal attempts, and the removed old route; `findManyApplicationRegistrations` returns path-addressed URLs for stored assets, CDN fallback for npm, absolute passthrough; `installedApplications.logoUrl` resolves the public-assets URL and stays null for logo-less apps. Registration hard delete verified against the DB: file rows cascade, application rows keep a nulled registration link. - Typecheck + lint on twenty-server, twenty-front, twenty-shared, twenty-sdk; metadata codegen and client-sdk regenerated. |

feat: make record avatar/icon resolution data-driven via a configurable image identifier field (#22644)
## Summary Today the avatar/icon shown for a record is hardcoded per object — Company pulls a favicon from its domain link, Person uses `avatarUrl`, etc. This PR replaces that hardcoding with a generic, data-driven abstraction based on a configurable **image identifier field** on each object's metadata (mirroring the existing **label identifier** concept). An object's image identifier can point to: - a **`FILES`** field → the uploaded image is used directly (rounded avatar), or - a **`LINKS`** field → a favicon is derived from the primary URL via the Twenty icons service (squared avatar), gated by `ALLOW_REQUESTS_TO_TWENTY_ICONS`. This lets any object type (Opportunity, a custom "Listing", etc.) define its own avatar/icon without code changes, and makes the field configurable/overridable for standard objects. ## ❓ Open question: also allow `TEXT` → direct image URL? Right now the image identifier is restricted to `FILES` (uploaded file) and `LINKS` (favicon). We deliberately left out `TEXT` → **direct image URL** (e.g. an imported/synced photo URL stored in a text field). There's precedent for it — Person's avatar was originally a `TEXT` `avatarUrl`, and WorkspaceMember still is — and it's unambiguous (a `TEXT` field has no favicon-vs-image ambiguity, and selecting it as the image identifier is itself the declaration of intent). It's a small, clean extension: - add `TEXT` to the allowed image-identifier types, - add an explicit `TEXT → raw URL` case - `getAvatarType`: `TEXT → rounded`. Caveats: it relies on admin assertion that the text values are image URLs (no data-level guarantee), and external image URLs load third-party content in the browser (IP-leak/hotlinking, same as favicons — a proxy/cache would be the more robust long-term answer). ### ✅ Resolution Decision: **we will not support `TEXT` as an image identifier.** Image identifiers stay restricted to `FILES` and `LINKS`, and any other type fails closed (returns no avatar) on both the frontend and backend. Instead, the legacy items that still rely on a `TEXT` avatar — Person's deprecated `avatarUrl` and WorkspaceMember's `avatarUrl` — will be migrated to `FILE` fields in a follow-up PR. Until then, WorkspaceMember remains an exception (its `avatarUrl` still resolves through the existing CorePicture path), and legacy Person `avatarUrl` values that haven't been migrated will show initials placeholders. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22644?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Resolve application registration logo and gallery image urls at query time (#22827)
## Context
Application registration logo and gallery image urls were baked into the
stored manifest and display columns at write time, with each source flow
doing it differently: npm catalog sync baked CDN urls, local dev sync
baked `public-assets` urls, and tarball uploads left raw manifest paths
that never displayed in the UI. The entity also carried a `logoUrl`
getter computed field.
This moves url generation to query time, the same way the workspace logo
works.
## What changed
**Read side**
- `ApplicationRegistrationAssetUrlService` builds display urls when
queried: stored files are served by fileId, absolute urls pass through
untouched, and not-yet-rehosted npm assets fall back to the registry CDN
from `sourcePackage@latestAvailableVersion`.
- The `logoUrl` getter on `ApplicationRegistrationEntity` is replaced by
`logoUrl` and `galleryImages` `@ResolveField`s on the metadata resolver,
the admin panel resolver, and a new resolver for
`ApplicationRegistrationSummary` (used by
`Application.applicationRegistration`).
- The marketplace detail/card DTOs and the public OAuth authorize DTO
(`findApplicationRegistrationByClientId`) go through the same url
builder.
- New public route `GET /file/application-registration/:id` streams
registration server files (these are instance-global marketplace assets,
also shown on the public OAuth authorize page).
`ServerFileStorageService.readServerFileById` now returns the mime type
alongside the stream.
**Write side**
- New `logoFileId` column on `applicationRegistration` (2.21 fast
instance command, constraint names match TypeORM naming), complementing
the fileIds already stored in the `galleryImages` jsonb.
- `ApplicationRegistrationAssetService` copies the manifest logo and
gallery images into instance-global server file storage, so all three
sources behave the same:
- **TARBALL**: from the uploaded package (previously only gallery images
were stored, never the logo).
- **LOCAL**: dev sync reads the already-uploaded public assets from
workspace storage (the CLI uploads files before syncing).
- **NPM**: catalog sync downloads the assets from the registry CDN.
Downloads are skipped when the package version is unchanged and the
files are already stored; failed or pending downloads fall back to CDN
urls at query time.
- Write-time url rewriting is removed
(`ManifestAssetUrlResolverService`, `resolveManifestAssetUrls`);
manifests now keep raw asset paths. Existing rows with baked absolute
urls keep working through the absolute-url passthrough, so no backfill
is needed.
- `updateFromManifest` and `upsertFromCatalog` preserve stored gallery
fileIds for unchanged paths, so installs and the hourly catalog sync no
longer clobber them.
## How it was verified
Against a local Postgres/Redis with the server running:
- Fresh database init runs the new instance command; column and FK/UQ
constraint names match TypeORM's generated names, and the CI
pending-migration check produces no diff.
- `findManyApplicationRegistrations { logoUrl galleryImages }` returns
fileId-served urls for a TARBALL registration (absolute urls passed
through), and null/[] for a LOCAL registration without assets.
- Ran `marketplace:catalog-sync` against the real npm registry: 14
packages synced, logos and gallery images rehosted from unpkg with
fileIds set; a second run re-downloaded nothing (version-unchanged
skip); `findMarketplaceAppDetail` for `twenty-linear` returns
fileId-served urls for the logo and all four gallery images.
- `GET /file/application-registration/:id` serves stored files with the
right content type (png and svg verified), 404s on unknown ids, and the
token-guarded generic `/file/:folder/:id` route still returns 403
without a token.
- Unit tests for the url builder and the assets-stored check; server
unit test suites for the application module pass; typecheck and lint
clean.

Fix front-component serving on Safari, kill stale presigned caching, and cache built bundles client-side (#22672)
## Context Built front-component bundles are served via `GET /rest/front-components/:id/:cacheKey`. On S3-backed storage (Twenty Cloud) the endpoint used to 302-redirect the worker's authenticated fetch to a presigned S3 URL. That redirect caused two bugs, and fixing it removed the caching the redirect was accidentally providing — so this PR also adds a proper client-side cache. Closes twentyhq/core-team-issues#2653. ### Bug 1 — Safari 403 (Authorization header forwarded across redirect) The renderer worker fetches the bundle with `Authorization: Bearer`. The controller answered with a 302 to a presigned S3 URL. Per the Fetch spec, browsers must strip `Authorization` on a cross-origin redirect. Chrome/Firefox do, but Safari/WebKit forwards it, so S3 receives both a query-string signature and an `Authorization` header and rejects with `InvalidArgument: Only one auth mechanism allowed`. Result: front components never load in Safari on S3-backed storage. ### Bug 2 — 302 cached publicly (browser-independent) The redirect branch set no `Cache-Control`, so a CDN could cache it far beyond the presigned URL's TTL (`STORAGE_S3_PRESIGNED_URL_EXPIRES_IN`, 900s). Consequences: any client re-served the cached 302 after 15 min hits an expired signature (403, also affects Chrome), and the cached redirect containing a live presigned URL is served to unauthenticated requests (short-lived auth bypass). ### Regression this introduces — warm-load caching lost Marking the handoff `no-store` (Bug 2 fix) is correct, but it means the built bundle is no longer cached anywhere on the S3 path. The browser HTTP cache cannot compensate: the presigned URL that actually returns the bytes carries a fresh `X-Amz-Date`/`X-Amz-Signature` on every request, so each download is a brand-new cache key and never hits. Net effect without mitigation: every worker mount re-downloads the full bundle. ## What changed - **Front components return a 200 JSON body instead of a 302.** The controller now responds `200 { url }` with `Cache-Control: private, no-store`. The worker parses the JSON and issues a separate header-less `fetch(url)` to S3. No redirect means the `Authorization` header is never forwarded, making it browser-independent, and the handoff carrying the presigned URL is never cached. The stream path (local storage) is unchanged. - **Client-side bundle cache in the renderer (restores warm loads).** `fetchComponentSource` wraps the fetch chain in a `CacheStorage` layer keyed by the **content-addressed** `/front-components/:id/:checksum.js` URL. A hit returns the stored bundle and skips **both** the `no-store` handoff to Twenty and the S3 download — restoring cross-session warm loads without ever persisting a presigned credential. Because `CacheStorage` is writable by any same-origin code (including the untrusted component code this cache feeds), cached content is verified against the sha-256 checksum embedded in the URL on every read, and evicted on mismatch. Caching degrades to a plain fetch where `CacheStorage` or WebCrypto is unavailable. - **sha-256 checksums for built front components.** The SDK build and workspace prefill now fingerprint built front-component bundles with sha-256 (WebCrypto has no md5), enabling the integrity check above. Other file folders keep md5. Legacy md5-fingerprinted URLs (32-hex) simply bypass the cache — already-synced components keep working and start benefiting from caching on their next build/sync. - **WebKit e2e coverage.** Added a `webkit` project to the postcard example's Playwright config mirroring `chrome` (shared setup + storageState), plus iframe/worker diagnostics logging so front-component failures surface in the test log. `TZ` is pinned to `Europe/Paris` because WebKit on Linux ignores Playwright's `timezoneId` emulation and rejects the runner's legacy `CET` alias, which crashed the record page before the component could render. ### Why we hand off to S3 instead of streaming through Twenty On S3-backed storage we deliberately **do not** proxy/stream the bundle bytes through the API. The controller returns the presigned URL and the worker fetches the content directly from S3, for two reasons: - **Server CPU/bandwidth.** Streaming every bundle on every cold load would put the API server on the hot path for all front-component content. Handing off to S3 keeps that load off the server. - **Domain isolation.** Front-component content is fetched from the object-storage domain (e.g. `s3.domain.com`), a different origin than the API and the front app. Serving untrusted/app-authored bundle content from a separate domain than `twenty.com` keeps it off the app's origin. The stream path is kept only as the local-storage fallback (no S3/presign available), where these concerns don't apply. ## Examples ### The JSON handoff (S3 path) ```http GET /rest/front-components/d3b07384-.../a1b2c3d4.js HTTP/1.1 Host: twenty.com Authorization: Bearer <worker-token> ``` ```http HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Type: application/json Cache-Control: private, no-store {"url":"https://s3.domain.com/bucket/.../checkout-widget.mjs?X-Amz-Date=20260709T091500Z&X-Amz-Expires=900&...&X-Amz-Signature=AAAA1111..."} ``` The worker then fetches that presigned URL **without** headers (the Safari fix) and gets the bundle bytes. ### Why the browser HTTP cache can't reuse it | | Load 1 (09:15) | Load 2 (09:30) | Same key? | |---|---|---|---| | Twenty handoff URL | `.../a1b2c3d4.js` | `.../a1b2c3d4.js` | ✅ but response is `no-store` | | Presigned `X-Amz-Signature` | `AAAA1111...` | `ZZZZ9999...` | ❌ | | Effective S3 URL (the HTTP cache key) | `...&X-Amz-Signature=AAAA1111...` | `...&X-Amz-Signature=ZZZZ9999...` | ❌ new key → miss | ### What the CacheStorage layer stores ``` key = https://twenty.com/rest/front-components/d3b07384-.../a1b2c3d4.js (stable, chosen by us) value = <bundle JS bytes> (NOT the presigned URL) ``` Keying by the stable logical URL (not the volatile URL the bytes arrived from) is the one thing the native HTTP cache can't express. The presigned URL is used once and discarded. ### Invalidation No TTL and no explicit delete — invalidation is by key change. A rebuild changes the checksum → changes the URL → guaranteed miss on the new key. The old entry is orphaned and reclaimed by normal browser eviction (quota/LRU; Safari ITP after 7 idle days). Global invalidation lever: bump the cache name suffix (`front-component-source-v1`). ## Deploy note — front/server release window Old frontend bundles (already-open tabs) hitting the new server receive the JSON handoff where they expect raw JS and fail to render until the tab is reloaded. The other direction is safe: the new worker against an old server follows the 302 transparently (the content-type check falls through to `response.text()`). Accepted as a short deploy-window trade-off. ## Follow-ups (not in this PR) - The client-side cache is a bridge for the `no-store` presigned handoff. If built components are later served from a stable, non-signed, public-by-URL path (they are already content-addressed by checksum, so `immutable` is safe), the browser + CDN cache natively and this custom layer can be removed. - `GET /file/:fileFolder/:id` presigned 302s still carry no `Cache-Control`. An explicit policy there (bounded `private, max-age` below the presigned TTL) was prototyped in this PR and deliberately dropped to keep the scope on front components — the file path authenticates via a query-param token (part of any cache key), so its exposure differs and deserves its own PR. ## Non-goals Per the issue, file serving keeps its query-param token + 302 model. Native browser loads (`<img>`, downloads) cannot do a two-step fetch and already work on Safari. The public-asset redirect is left untouched since its caching is intentional. ## Test plan - Renderer: `fetchComponentSource.spec.ts` covers cache miss + write, verified cache hit (no network), poisoned-entry eviction, checksum-mismatch (never cached), non-fingerprinted and legacy-md5 URL bypass, and the no-`CacheStorage` / no-WebCrypto fallbacks. `fetchComponentSourceFromNetwork.spec.ts` covers the direct JS response, the JSON handoff follow-through (header-less presigned fetch), and error mapping. - e2e: the postcard front-component spec now runs on both Chromium and WebKit against prod-parity storage (S3 + Lambda). - `oxlint` + `oxfmt` clean; typecheck passes on changed packages. ### Reproduction proof — Safari was always broken (e2e probe) We ran the prod-parity postcard e2e suite (S3 storage + Lambda) with WebKit against **`main` without this fix**, via a throwaway probe PR: twentyhq/twenty#22717. Result — [ci-privileged run 29015624468](https://github.com/twentyhq/ci-privileged/actions/runs/29015624468): ``` 1 failed [webkit] › card-front-component.spec.ts:61 › renders the postcard name and status badge in the record preview 2 passed (1.4m) ``` `[webkit]` times out waiting for `getByTestId('postcard-card')` to become visible (*element(s) not found*) while the Chromium run of the same spec passes. This confirms the front component **never rendered in Safari** on S3-backed storage prior to this PR — it is a genuine, browser-specific bug, not a flake. The fix in this PR is expected to turn that same `[webkit]` assertion green. Note: running the WebKit tests in CI requires the WebKit browser binary and its system dependencies in the e2e job (now installed via `npx playwright install --with-deps chromium webkit`). |

feat(server): support server-scoped files via nullable workspaceId on file table (#22587)
Part of the app settings architecture cleanup (twentyhq/core-team-issues#2456) — PR 1 of the server-level documents plan, reworked after the revert of #22560 (#22579). Same capability, different shape: **no new entity** — server-level documents live in the existing `file` table with a nullable `workspaceId`. ## Problem All file storage is workspace-scoped (`FileEntity.workspaceId NOT NULL`, `{workspaceId}/{app}/…` storage keys). Server-level data like application-registration manifests and tarballs for ownerless catalog registrations has no first-class home, forcing raw-driver bypasses (`DefaultAiCatalogService`, prototype #22556). ## Changes (core storage layer only — no HTTP serving, no GraphQL exposure) **`FileEntity` gains server scope** (mirrors `KeyValuePairEntity`, which already supports both instance-level and per-workspace rows): - `workspaceId` uuid becomes **nullable** — NULL means server-scoped; the entity no longer extends `WorkspaceRelatedEntity` and declares its columns directly - `applicationRegistrationId` nullable FK (`onDelete: CASCADE`) — registration-owned documents follow their registration - ownership checks: `workspaceId IS NOT NULL OR applicationRegistrationId IS NOT NULL` and `workspaceId IS NULL OR applicationRegistrationId IS NULL` — every row has exactly one owner - `IDX_FILE_APPLICATION_REGISTRATION_ID_PATH_UNIQUE` UNIQUE (`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) — mirrors the workspace unique-constraint pattern; workspace rows are exempt via their NULL `applicationRegistrationId` **New `ServerFileStorageService`** (`file-storage/services/`, exported from the global `FileStorageModule`; `FileStorageService` moved alongside it): - storage keys `server/{fileFolder}/{applicationRegistrationId}/{resourcePath}` — the registration segment is injected by the service itself, so paths cannot collide across registrations; scope-validation util mirroring `validateStoragePathIsWithinWorkspaceOrThrow`; new `ServerFileFolder` enum in twenty-shared - `writeServerFile` (upsert on (`applicationRegistrationId`, `path`) + driver write; throws on failure), `readServerFile`/`readServerFileById` (missing row or bytes surfaces `FILE_NOT_FOUND`), `checkServerFileExists`, `deleteServerFile`/`deleteByServerFileId` (bytes best-effort, row authoritative), `deleteByApplicationRegistrationId` - rows are accessed through a plain repository pinned to `workspaceId: IsNull()` on every query; workspace-file code paths still go through `WorkspaceScopedRepository`, which never sees NULL rows **Null-safety ripples** (workspaceId is now `string | null`): - `WorkspaceScopedEntity` bound widened to `workspaceId: string | null` (the wrapper always filters with a concrete id) - `list-and-delete-orphaned-workspace-entities` now skips `workspaceId IS NULL` rows — previously `NOT EXISTS` would have flagged server rows as orphans and deleted them - `PendingFileCleanupService` sweeps only `workspaceId IS NOT NULL` rows; `application-package-fetcher` pins its tarball lookup to workspace rows (tarball migration to server scope is a follow-up PR) **Migration**: `allow-server-scoped-file` ships as a **2-20 fast instance command** (2.20.0 is current since #22639; re-slotted from 2-19 per review). Command runs are tracked by name, so instances that already executed the 2-20 `standardOverrides` drop command still pick this one up. Its realistic timestamp sorts before that drop command's fabricated `1825000000000`, which the `ci:allow-upgrade-command-timestamp-exception` label covers. ## Next PRs in the plan - PR 2: HTTP serving + token type for server files - PR 3: application-registration manifests stored as versioned server files (rework of draft #22556) - PR 4 (optional): registration tarballs migrate to server scope ## Verification - New spec `server-file-storage.service.spec.ts` (traversal table, upsert conflict semantics, row-before-bytes reads, best-effort byte deletion, registration cascade) + scope-validation util spec; affected suites all green - Typecheck (server + shared), `lint:diff-with-main`, full `oxfmt --check src/` on both packages clean - Fresh `database:reset` on the re-slotted branch: the 2-20 command executes, generator then reports **no schema drift**; both ownership checks and the composite unique verified live (dual-owner insert and duplicate registration+path both rejected) |

feat(files): use direct-to-storage upload for email and AI-chat attachments (#22610)
## Context Follow-up to the direct-to-storage upload work (#22449 / #22531 / #22533 / #22576). That migrated files-field, attachments and workflow uploads off the buffered path. This PR does the same for the **last two user-facing upload surfaces**: email attachments and AI-chat files. ## What this does - Adds `EmailAttachment` and `AgentChat` to the server's `DIRECT_UPLOAD_FILE_FOLDERS` allowlist. Both folders already resolve through the workspace-custom-application path in `resolveUploadLocation`, so no other server change is needed. - Routes the two frontend hooks through the existing `useDirectFileUpload` handshake (`createFileUpload` → `PUT` → `completeFileUpload`): - `useUploadEmailAttachment` → `FileFolder.EmailAttachment` (keeps its existing `MAX_ATTACHMENT_SIZE` client check — email has a real send-size limit). - `useAiChatFileUpload` → `FileFolder.AgentChat`. Each hook keeps its public signature and return shape, so call sites are unchanged. No schema change and no codegen needed — the `CreateFileUpload`/`CompleteFileUpload` documents and the `FileFolder` enum values already exist in `generated-metadata` from #22576. ## Why these are safe to migrate Both server services (`file-ai-chat`, `file-email-attachment`) just `writeFile` (store) and return a signed URL — no synchronous processing of the bytes at upload time — so the store-and-reference direct-upload flow fits exactly, same as files-field/workflow. ## Out of scope `CorePicture` (avatars, member/workspace pictures, logos) stays on the buffered path on purpose: small images that go through server-side image handling and are served inline, where the 10 MB body limit is already appropriate. ## Tests Extends the `FileUploadService` unit spec with an `it.each` asserting `createFileUpload` supports the `EmailAttachment` and `AgentChat` folders. ## Verification `typecheck` and `lint:diff-with-main` green on both `twenty-front` and `twenty-server`. (The server jest suite couldn't run in my local sandbox due to an unrelated config-import quirk present on a clean `main` checkout too — CI runs it normally.) https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22610?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

Deterministic system field universal identifier (#22565)
# Introduction Close twentyhq/core-team-issues#2641 Auto-provisioned field metadata used to get its `universalIdentifier` from three unrelated sources: random `v4()` on the server when creating custom objects, hardcoded values in `STANDARD_OBJECTS`, and an ad-hoc `v5` derivation in the SDK manifest build. This PR unifies all of them behind the shared `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` derivation: ``` universalIdentifier = f(applicationUniversalIdentifier, objectUniversalIdentifier, fieldName) ``` ## Ownership model The rollout is built on an explicit split of who owns a field's universal identifier: - **The 8 system fields** (`id`, `createdAt`, `updatedAt`, `deletedAt`, `createdBy`, `updatedBy`, `position`, `searchVector`) are **server-owned**. Their universal identifiers are always the deterministic derivation, on **every** application (standard, workspace-custom, installed). Clients cannot provide custom values: a temporary check in `validateObjectMetadataSystemFieldsIntegrity` rejects any non-derived system field identifier at migration build time. This check stands in until system fields are generated exclusively server side by the metadata side-effect engine and stripped from client inputs — at which point it becomes structurally impossible to send one. - **`name` is a default field, not a system field**: it is auto-provisioned when absent (server side for custom objects, SDK side for application objects) but authors can define their own. It is only derived where it is guaranteed to be auto-provisioned. In particular, standard objects keep their **historical hardcoded** `name` identifiers: the standard app authors its `name` fields like any installed app would, and moving those identifiers would break every installed application referencing them (e.g. views on `opportunity.name`). - **User-created and author-provided fields** keep random / explicit identifiers, untouched. ## Server - `validateObjectMetadataSystemFieldsIntegrity` now validates, on top of the existing type/`isSystem` checks, that each system field's `universalIdentifier` equals the deterministic derivation. Runs for every object creation going through the migration orchestrator: app sync, custom object creation, standard provisioning - `build-default-flat-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts` derives the system field identifiers (and the auto-provisioned `name`) with `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` instead of `v4()` - `build-default-relation-flat-field-metadatas-for-custom-object.util.ts` derives both the forward and the reverse default relation field identifiers deterministically - `generateMorphOrRelationFlatFieldMetadataPair` accepts optional `sourceFieldUniversalIdentifier` / `targetFieldUniversalIdentifier` so callers can inject deterministic values; user-created relations still default to `v4()` ## twenty-shared - `STANDARD_OBJECTS` system field identifiers (the 8) are now computed at module load via `buildStandardObjectSystemFields`; `name` and every other identifier keep their hardcoded values - New snapshot test pinning **every** universal identifier of `STANDARD_OBJECTS`: any identifier change now requires an explicit snapshot update and should ship with a coordinated backfill ## SDK (breaking, pre-GA) - `generateDefaultFieldUniversalIdentifier` delegates to `getFieldUniversalIdentifier` and now requires `applicationUniversalIdentifier` - Reverse default relation field identifiers are derived from the field's real coordinates (standard object UID + actual field name, e.g. `targetRocket` on `attachment`) instead of the legacy custom-object UID + synthetic `${fieldName}Inverse` hash input. Field *names* are unchanged - The manifest build threads the application universal identifier through default field injection (two-pass over object configs) - `twenty dev:add` now resolves the application universal identifier upfront and refuses to scaffold anything until `defineApplication` declares one — no more `fill-later` placeholder for the app UID in generated files ## Upgrade A 2.19 **workspace command** backfills existing `fieldMetadata.universalIdentifier` rows to the deterministic derivation. Coverage follows the ownership model: - **The 8 system fields**: taken over for **every application**, whatever value they currently hold. This is both safe and required now that sync rejects non-derived values — leaving a row unconverged would make its application unsyncable - **`name`**: workspace-custom app → always taken over (server-generated, no author to clobber); installed applications → only rows still carrying the legacy SDK derivation are recomputed, author-provided identifiers are never touched; standard app → never touched (hardcoded in `STANDARD_OBJECTS`) - **Default relation fields**: workspace-custom app → forward fields on custom objects and reverse fields on the standard relation objects; installed applications → legacy-derivation probe only All identifiers of a workspace are updated inside a single transaction, then the command flushes the field-metadata-related workspace caches and bumps the metadata version. Stored `applicationRegistration.manifest` snapshots are intentionally **not** rewritten: installs and upgrades always sync from the `manifest.json` inside the resolved package (npm/tarball), the stored column is only used for display/marketplace purposes. ## Breaking behavior for old packages (fail closed) Packages built with an older SDK carry legacy system field identifiers in their tarball `manifest.json`. Installing or upgrading such a package now fails with an explicit `INVALID_SYSTEM_FIELD` validation error ("universal identifier is not deterministic") instead of silently mismatching against the backfilled rows and triggering a destructive delete+create. The remediation is to rebuild the package with the new SDK; the backfill has already converged the installed rows, so the rebuilt manifest syncs cleanly. ## Test plan - [x] `twenty-sdk` unit tests (526 tests) and typecheck - [x] `twenty-shared` unit tests (1635 tests) including the `STANDARD_OBJECTS` snapshot; `name` identifiers verified byte-for-byte identical to `main` - [x] Lint and typecheck clean on all touched packages - [x] Integration: create a custom object and verify system + default relation field identifiers match the deterministic derivation (`create-one-object-metadata-deterministic-field-universal-identifiers`, 13 assertions passing) - [x] Integration: `failing-sync-application-object-system-fields` extended with a non-derived system field identifier case; all identifiers in the spec pinned deterministically so snapshots embedding expected/actual values are stable across runs (verified with a double run) - [x] Integration: all application sync suites pass with the derived system field identifiers now required by the `buildDefaultObjectManifest` test helper (9 suites, 20 tests) - [x] Full test-database reset: standard app provisioning and seeded workspaces pass the new validation - [x] SDK manifest build verified on the postcard example app: all auto-generated default field identifiers match the derivation - [ ] Run `upgrade:2-19:backfill-deterministic-field-universal-identifiers` (dry-run then real) on a seeded workspace and verify identifier convergence with a rebuilt app manifest |

feat(server): add instance-level file storage layer (#22560)
Part of the app settings architecture cleanup
(twentyhq/core-team-issues#2456) — PR 1 of the instance-level documents
plan. Today all file storage is workspace-scoped
(`FileEntity.workspaceId NOT NULL`, `{workspaceId}/{app}/…` storage
keys, workspace-anchored tokens); instance-level data like
application-registration manifests and tarballs for ownerless catalog
registrations has no first-class home, forcing raw-driver bypasses
(`DefaultAiCatalogService`, prototype #22556).
## Changes (core storage layer only — no HTTP serving, no GraphQL
exposure)
**New `instanceFile` table** (`InstanceFileEntity`) — deliberately
separate from the workspace-scoped `file` table so nothing about the
existing system changes:
- `id`, `path` (unique, `{fileFolder}/{relativePath}` mirroring
FileEntity's convention), `size`, `mimeType`, timestamps
- nullable `applicationRegistrationId` FK (`onDelete: CASCADE`) —
registration-owned documents follow their registration
- no `workspaceId`, no `applicationId`; plain repository (added to the
`prefer-workspace-scoped-repository` lint rule's global-table
exemptions, as the rule's own message directs)
**New `InstanceFileStorageService`** (exported from the global
`FileStorageModule`):
- storage keys under a literal `instance/{fileFolder}/…` prefix —
collision-free with workspace prefixes (UUIDs); scope-validation util
mirroring `validateStoragePathIsWithinWorkspaceOrThrow`
- `writeInstanceFile` (upsert row on `path` conflict + driver write;
throws on failure — no swallowing),
`readInstanceFile`/`readInstanceFileById` (missing file surfaces
`FILE_NOT_FOUND` like `FileStorageService.readFile`),
`checkInstanceFileExists`, `deleteInstanceFile`/`deleteByInstanceFileId`
(bytes best-effort, row authoritative),
`deleteByApplicationRegistrationId` (lifecycle hook for
registration-owned files)
- same driver path as `FileStorageService` (`FileStorageDriverFactory` →
`ValidatedStorageDriver`)
**Migration**: fast instance command `add-instance-file-table` (2.19,
generator-produced; post-command `database:migrate:generate` reports no
pending changes).
## Next PRs in the plan
- PR 2: HTTP serving + token type for instance files (new route + guard;
workspace file endpoints untouched)
- PR 3: application-registration manifests stored as versioned instance
files (supersedes draft #22556)
- PR 4 (optional): registration tarballs migrate to instance scope,
removing the cross-workspace `FileEntity` read in
`application-package-fetcher` and the `ownerWorkspaceId` requirement on
`uploadTarball`
## Verification
- New specs: scope-validation util (traversal cases) + service (upsert
conflict, missing-file error, best-effort byte deletion, registration
cascade) — 16/16; `npx jest "application"` still 31 suites / 160 green
- Typecheck, `lint:diff-with-main`, full `oxfmt --check src/` (6421
files) and full type-aware oxlint clean
- Fast command executed against the local DB — table, unique index, and
CASCADE FK verified via psql; generator then reports no schema drift
- Server boots with the new provider; `generate-metadata-client
--skip-nx-cache` zero diff (no GraphQL change)

feat(files): reap stale pending direct-upload files via hourly cron (#22531)
## Context Follow-up to #22449 (direct-to-storage upload endpoints). That PR introduced the `PENDING` → `UPLOADED` file lifecycle: `createFileUpload` inserts a file record in `PENDING`, the client uploads the bytes directly to storage, then `completeFileUpload` flips it to `UPLOADED`. A client that initiates an upload but never confirms — a crash, a closed tab, an expired presigned URL — leaves a `PENDING` file record and a possibly-partial storage object behind forever. This PR reaps them. ## What this does Adds an hourly cron that hard-deletes `PENDING` files older than 24h together with their storage objects, in bounded batches. - **`PendingFileCleanupService`** — finds `PENDING` files with `createdAt` older than `PENDING_FILE_MAX_AGE_MS` (24h), capped at `PENDING_FILE_CLEANUP_BATCH_SIZE` (200) per run, and deletes each via `FileStorageService.deleteByFileId` (which tolerates a missing object). A failure on one file is logged and skipped so the rest of the batch still gets cleaned. - **`PendingFileCleanupCronJob`** — `@Processor(cronQueue)` job that runs the service and reports exceptions. - **`PendingFileCleanupCronCommand`** — registers the job on the hourly pattern (`0 * * * *`). - Wired into `FileUploadModule` (providers + export) and registered in `cron:register:all`. ### Why 24h The reaper threshold sits well past the presigned URL expiry, so a `PENDING` file only becomes reapable long after any legitimate in-flight upload could still complete — the cleanup can never race a real upload. A file that was never confirmed is referenced by nothing; the client recovery path is simply re-uploading under a fresh `fileId`, so we never promote to `UPLOADED`. ## Tests `pending-file-cleanup.service.spec.ts` covers: the query shape (status + age threshold + batch cap), deleting each stale file and returning the count, continuing past a per-file deletion failure, and the empty-batch no-op. ## Scope Server-only, non-breaking, no user-facing change. Part of the incremental direct-upload rollout being split into small PRs. https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22531?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

feat(files): content-verify direct uploads and pin pending files to octet-stream (#22533)
## Context Follow-up to #22449 (direct-to-storage upload endpoints). In that flow `createFileUpload` inserts a `PENDING` file record before any bytes exist, and until now it guessed the mime type from the **filename extension** — an untrusted, client-controlled value. This PR makes a pending file opaque and only trusts a mime type that was verified against the actual stored bytes. ## What this does **1. A pending file is always `application/octet-stream`.** `createFileUpload` records the pending file — and signs the presigned PUT — as `application/octet-stream`. The extension is still kept on the stored object name so the content can be checked against it later. **2. Content verification at completion.** `completeFileUpload`, after the existing size check, reads a **bounded prefix** of the stored object (`readReadablePrefix`, capped at 64 KiB — a large object is never buffered in full) and runs the existing `extractFileInfoOrThrow` util to detect the real mime type from the content. It: - writes the detected type alongside `status = UPLOADED`, and - rejects a file whose bytes don't match its declared extension (the record stays `PENDING`, so it can never be served or attached, and is reaped by the pending-file cleanup cron). Serving already overrides `Content-Type` from the DB record, so storing the object as octet-stream is fine. **3. A database constraint as backstop.** `CHK_FILE_PENDING_MIME_OCTET_STREAM` — `"status" != 'PENDING' OR "mimeType" = 'application/octet-stream'` — added to `FileEntity` and applied by a fast instance command (`2-19`). It is added `NOT VALID` on purpose: an instance freshly upgraded past #22449 may still hold `PENDING` rows whose mime came from the old extension-guess path, and `NOT VALID` enforces the invariant on every new/updated row without failing on that legacy backlog (those rows get overwritten to octet-stream when completed — `status` flips to `UPLOADED`, so the check passes — or are reaped while pending). ## Tests - `read-readable-prefix.spec.ts` — prefix reader: short source, early stop on a large source (asserts it tears the stream down without draining it), error propagation, empty stream. - `file-upload.service.spec.ts` — create records octet-stream; complete sniffs and sets the detected type, overrides a spoofed extension with the real content type, and rejects content that can't be matched to the declared extension. - `direct-file-upload.integration-spec.ts` — end-to-end case rejecting a `.png` upload whose bytes are plain text. ## Verification `typecheck` green, `lint:diff-with-main` clean, unit suites pass (17 tests). No GraphQL schema change, so no codegen drift. ## Scope Server-only, part of the incremental direct-upload rollout being split into small PRs. perf(twenty-server): cache BuiltFrontComponent and PublicAsset responses (#22523)
Follow-up to #22510. Closes #22515 — extends `Cache-Control` to the two remaining app-asset folders that #22510 left `immutable: false` because they're path-addressed. Each now gets the directive that matches **how it is addressed**. ## BuiltFrontComponent → immutable I was wrong in the #22515 write-up to call this "stable URL, mutable bytes." The browser **already content-addresses it**: `FrontComponentRenderer` fetches `/rest/front-components/:id?checksum=${builtComponentChecksum}` (`getFrontComponentUrl`), so a rebuild changes the checksum → changes the URL → busts the cache. That makes `immutable` safe — no stale-code window — and needs no new versioning machinery. Wired the header into `FrontComponentController.getBuiltJs` (which passed no folder) and the front-component presign path. ## PublicAsset → bounded public cache Genuinely path-addressed and overwritten in place on every app (re)install/redeploy (upsert on `['path','workspaceId','applicationId']`), so it **cannot** be `immutable`. Instead: - **`public`** — the `/public-assets/...` endpoint is unauthenticated (`PublicEndpointGuard`), so the bytes are already world-readable; marking the response `public` lets a CDN (e.g. Cloudflare in front of the server) serve app/marketplace logos from the edge instead of hitting the origin on every render. Today these responses carry no `Cache-Control` at all. - **`max-age=3600`, not `immutable`** — a bounded window so an asset overwrite recovers within an hour. This one hour is the single judgement call here; tune it (or add `stale-while-revalidate`) to taste. ## Mechanism Generalized `FileFolderConfig.immutable` (boolean) into `cacheControl` (`string | null`) so a folder can carry its own directive instead of only opting into one hardcoded string. `setFileResponseHeaders` and the presign paths now read `cacheControl` directly. The immutable-folder set is unchanged; only BuiltFrontComponent (→ immutable) and PublicAsset (→ bounded public) move. ## Tests `setFileResponseHeaders` spec updated: BuiltFrontComponent now asserts immutable, PublicAsset asserts `public, max-age=3600`, and the remaining path-addressed folders (`AppTarball`, `Source`, `BuiltLogicFunction`, `Dependencies`) assert no `Cache-Control`. _Note: I bundled both folders into one PR since they share the config generalization — happy to split BuiltFrontComponent (safe/immutable) from PublicAsset (the `max-age` judgement call) if you'd rather review them separately._ https://claude.ai/code/session_01AKwhTxYFDhWhCZ4b7sf35W --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01AKwhTxYFDhWhCZ4b7sf35W)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22523?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

feat(files): direct-to-storage upload endpoints with pending file lifecycle (#22449)
<img width="1484" height="404" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b2d363bf-d9e1-49fb-9811-8cc98041aa79" /> ## Context Uploading large files currently OOMs the server: every upload resolver buffers the whole file in memory (`streamToBuffer`) before writing it to storage. This PR is the first of a series introducing direct client-to-storage uploads. It adds the server-side endpoints and driver support only — it is non-breaking and nothing consumes the new flow yet. Follow-up PRs will migrate the frontend upload paths, add a stale-pending-file cleanup cron, and cap the legacy buffered resolvers. ## What it does **New upload flow (initiate → PUT → confirm):** - `createFileUpload(filename, size, fileFolder, fieldMetadataId?)` validates the request (folder allowlist: `FilesField`/`Workflow`, max size, extension-derived mime type), creates the file record in a new `PENDING` status, and returns an upload target: - **S3 with presign enabled** → a presigned PUT URL with `Content-Type`/`Content-Length` pinned in the signature, so the client uploads straight to the bucket; - **local storage, or S3 without presign** → a token-authenticated streaming endpoint on the server (`PUT /file-upload/:id?token=…`, new `FILE_UPLOAD` JWT type) that pipes the request body to the storage driver with constant memory usage and a declared-size cap. - `completeFileUpload(fileId)` verifies the bytes actually landed in storage (HEAD + size match against the declared size) and flips the record to `UPLOADED`. Idempotent. **Pending lifecycle safety:** - New `status` column on `core.file` (`PENDING`/`UPLOADED`, default `UPLOADED` so all existing rows and the legacy upload path are unaffected) + fast instance command. - Files are refused by the serving endpoints and by FILES-field sync while `PENDING`. **Driver support (both drivers):** - `getPresignedUploadUrl` (S3: presigned PUT; local: `null` → server-endpoint fallback) - `writeFileStream` (local: `fs` pipeline with the existing symlink/containment hardening, partial-file cleanup on error; S3: `@aws-sdk/lib-storage` `Upload` for bounded-memory streaming) - `getFileMetadata` (HEAD/stat for confirm-time verification) ## Tests - `file-upload.service.spec.ts`: initiate validation (folder allowlist, size), presigned vs fallback target, confirm verification (missing object, size mismatch, happy path, idempotency) - `local.driver.spec.ts`: `writeFileStream` (content, symlink rejection, partial-file cleanup on stream error), `getFileMetadata` - `s3.driver.spec.ts`: `getPresignedUploadUrl` (disabled → null, PUT command with signed content-type/content-length) - `direct-file-upload.integration-spec.ts`: full end-to-end flow against the local driver (initiate → PUT → complete → download), plus error paths (complete without upload, oversized PUT → 413, invalid token → 403, unsupported folder, size above max) ## Notes for reviewers - The upload-size ceiling for direct uploads is `settings.storage.maxDirectUploadFileSize` (1GB), separate from the 10MB `maxFileSize` used for pictures. - Since content can't be sniffed before it reaches storage, the mime type is derived from the file extension (with the existing `TWENTY_MIME_POLICY` override) and unknown extensions fall back to `application/octet-stream`; the serving path already forces `Content-Disposition: attachment` for anything not on the inline-safe allowlist. - Self-hosters using S3 presign will need a bucket CORS policy allowing `PUT` from the frontend origin (config variable description updated). https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_015UH8KWmsB9zdYaog8MFG1d)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22449?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

chore(server): remove the five dead FileFolder values and their legacy serving pipeline (#22516)
Follow-up cleanup after #22510: shrink `FileFolder` and `fileFolderConfigs` to only folders that actually exist, so per-folder policy entries are real decisions. ## What **Remove the five dead enum values** — `ProfilePicture`, `WorkspaceLogo`, `Attachment`, `PersonPicture`, `File`. They were already marked replaced/removed in the enum, have no production write path, and `FileByIdGuard`'s `SUPPORTED_FILE_FOLDERS` allowlist already rejects them at the serving endpoint. **Delete the legacy path-based serving pipeline that existed only for them** — verified wired to no route: - `FilePathGuard` — registered as a provider in `FileModule` but applied to no controller - `extractFileInfoFromRequest` (parsed the old `/files/profile-picture/original/TOKEN/file.jpg` format) — only consumer was `FilePathGuard` - `checkFileFolder` — only consumer was `extractFileInfoFromRequest` - `settings.storage.imageCropSizes` — keyed exclusively by the three dead picture folders, zero consumers - the crop-size helpers in `utils/image.ts` (`getCropSize`, `ShortCropSize`, `CropSize`) — zero consumers outside the file; `getImageBufferFromUrl` is kept - `AllowedFolders` type — last consumer was `checkFileFolder` **Test fixtures** referencing dead folders were moved to living ones; the specs of deleted utils are deleted with them. **Generated files** (`twenty-front/src/generated-metadata/graphql.ts`, `twenty-client-sdk` schema) hand-updated to match the shrunk GraphQL enum. ## Legacy data safety Workspaces may still hold `File` rows whose `path` starts with a dead prefix (e.g. `attachment/…`). These stay inert, exactly as today: - Serving: `FileByIdGuard` rejects non-supported folders before any config lookup, and file lookups filter by `path LIKE '<current-folder>/%'`, so dead-prefix rows are unreachable. - Every consumer that feeds stored paths into `removeFileFolderFromFileEntityPath` (which throws on unknown prefixes) is upstream-guarded by a current-folder filter or allowlist — audited all seven call sites. - Stored legacy member `avatarUrl` strings are parsed with `extractFileIdFromUrl(url, FileFolder.CorePicture)` and already fall back to `''` for old formats; unchanged. ## GraphQL note `FileFolder` is exposed as a GraphQL enum (input of the dev-only `uploadApplicationFile` mutation, which only accepts application-code folders). Clients sending a removed value were already rejected at the resolver allowlist; they now fail GraphQL enum validation instead. No supported client sends them — the frontend only uses `CorePicture`. Net: **+10 / −301** across 17 files. https://claude.ai/code/session_01AKwhTxYFDhWhCZ4b7sf35W --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01AKwhTxYFDhWhCZ4b7sf35W)_ <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22516?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

perf(twenty-server): drive immutable file caching from fileFolderConfigs on both serving paths (#22510)
Follow-up to #22166 (now merged). Single commit, rebased onto main. ## Why #22166 introduced a `Cache-Control` header for avatar responses, gated on a hardcoded `CACHEABLE_PICTURE_FILE_FOLDERS = [CorePicture]` list. Two limitations: - The list is an ad-hoc second classification of `FileFolder`, maintained separately from the central `fileFolderConfigs`. - The header is only set on the stream branch of `getFileById`. On S3 deployments with presigned URLs enabled, the controller 302-redirects before `setFileResponseHeaders` runs and the presigned S3 response carries no `Cache-Control` at all — so the header never fires where it matters most. Whether a folder's bytes are cacheable-forever is a property of how the folder is written, and the codebase already has a per-folder source of truth: `fileFolderConfigs`. ## What - Add `immutable: boolean` to `FileFolderConfig`. `true` for folders whose write paths mint a fresh `v4()` file id embedded in the resource path on every upload — so the bytes behind a given URL can never change: `CorePicture`, `FilesField`, `Workflow`, `AgentChat`, `EmailAttachment`, `Dpa`. `false` everywhere else, notably: - `PublicAsset` — path-addressed, overwritten in place on app (re)install (including the new manifest logo import) - `AppTarball` — reuses `tarballFileId` and a stable `${registrationId}/app.tar.gz` path across version bumps - `setFileResponseHeaders` reads the flag instead of the ad-hoc list (list deleted). - Thread `responseCacheControl` through `FileStorageService.getPresignedUrl` → `StorageDriver` → `S3Driver`, which passes it as `ResponseCacheControl` on the `GetObjectCommand`, so presigned S3 responses return the same `Cache-Control: private, max-age=86400, immutable` on the redirect path. `private` is kept because responses are gated by a per-workspace file token; `immutable` is safe because a changed file always gets a new id and URL. ## Tests - `setFileResponseHeaders` spec: header set for each immutable folder, not set for mutable folders (`PublicAsset`, `AppTarball`, deprecated picture folders) or when no folder is provided. - `S3Driver.getPresignedUrl` spec: asserts `ResponseCacheControl` is forwarded onto the `GetObjectCommand`. https://claude.ai/code/session_01AKwhTxYFDhWhCZ4b7sf35W |

perf(twenty-server): browser-cache picture file responses (avatars/logos) (#22166)
Fixes #22163. ## Why Picture file responses (`GET /file/:fileFolder/:id`, `FileController.getFileById`) set no `Cache-Control` header, so the browser re-fetches the same avatar/picture on every render. When one member's avatar appears many times on a page (e.g. a record table or Kanban where that member owns many rows), this fires dozens of parallel GETs for the identical image; the browser cancels the redundant in-flight ones, and the server logs each client-aborted stream as `Error streaming file from storage`. Picture files are content-addressed by an immutable file id — changing an avatar or logo mints a new file id (and therefore a new URL) — so the bytes at any given URL never change and can be cached aggressively. ## What - `setFileResponseHeaders` now adds `Cache-Control: private, max-age=86400, immutable` for the picture folders (`CorePicture`, `ProfilePicture`, `WorkspaceLogo`, `PersonPicture`); `getFileById` passes the `fileFolder` through. - Scoped to picture folders so non-image files (attachments, tarballs, source, …) are not cached past a permission/visibility change. - `private` because files are served behind a per-workspace file token; `immutable` + the content-addressed id gives automatic cache-busting when the picture changes. ## Tests - Unit tests for `setFileResponseHeaders`: header is set for each picture folder, and not set for non-picture folders or when no folder is provided. - Controller test asserts the header on a `CorePicture` stream response. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/22166?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> --------- Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> Co-authored-by: Félix Malfait <felix.malfait@gmail.com> |

feat(dpa): self-serve Data Processing Agreement generator (#22243)
## What
A single, region-aware DPA that serves all customers, generated
automatically from the customer's deployment. Two layers:
1. **Click-through DPA** — recorded at signup (acceptance = execution),
resolving merge fields from the deployment region. Cloud only.
2. **In-app signed-PDF generator** — Settings → Legal → Generate DPA:
preview the agreement, enter legal entity + authorized signatory,
download a PDF pre-signed by Twenty, and store the executed copy against
the workspace with its template version + timestamp. Deep-linkable at
`/dpa` (login-gated) for `twenty.com/dpa`.
## How it resolves
A typed variable matrix (`dpa-region-config.constant.ts`) maps the
deployment region to the contracting Processor entity and terms:
- **EU (default)** → Twenty.com SAS, hosting EU/Frankfurt, governing law
France, SCC section dormant.
- **US (custom)** → Twenty, Inc., hosting US, SCC section active.
Region is a deployment-wide setting (`DPA_DEPLOYMENT_REGION`, default
EU) behind a `DpaRegionService` seam so it can later become
per-workspace without touching callers. The legal text is verbatim from
the template (generated into `dpa-template.constant.ts` directly from
the source `.docx`); only the 6 merge fields are filled and the SCC
sections (7.2–7.5) stay in the document for every region per the spec —
only field values branch. Sub-processors are deferred to
trust.twenty.com (not enumerated). Billing stays decoupled (Twenty, Inc.
remains merchant of record regardless of Processor).
## UI
Standard list + create-page pattern (mirrors API keys / webhooks): a
list of executed copies (with re-download) — or the agreement preview
when none exists — and a top-right blue **Generate DPA** CTA opening a
standard create page. The "Legal" item is intentionally **not** in the
settings menu; the page is reached via the `/dpa` deep link.
## Notable implementation details
- **PDF** is rendered server-side with `@react-pdf/renderer`. The
built-in standard-14 fonts only encode ASCII and crash on the template's
curly quotes / em–en dashes / accented Latin, so Liberation Sans (OFL)
is **subset to a Latin glyph set and embedded as base64 data: URLs** —
no font files to ship or resolve at runtime (works in dev, prod-Docker
and CI).
- New `core.dpaAgreement` table via a fast instance command (FK hash
reproduced to match TypeORM).
- Self-hosted deployments (billing disabled) skip click-through
recording and stamp a prominent "not a valid agreement" banner on the
preview and PDF.
## Tests
- Unit: resolver (per-region entity/law/SCC state, EU default, no
unresolved `{{ }}`, SCC sections present in both regions, self-hosted
notice) and HTML renderer.
- Integration (`test/integration/graphql/suites/dpa`): preview has no
unresolved fields; `generateSignedDpa` renders + persists + returns a
downloadable PDF (asserted with accented input to guard the font
regression); list re-download.
## ⚠ Needs legal input before go-live (marked `TODO_CONFIRM` in
`dpa-region-config.constant.ts`)
- Registered-office addresses for Twenty.com SAS and Twenty, Inc.
- US deployment governing law (the template only specifies France).
- DPO name and the Twenty pre-signed authorized signatory name/title.
## Out of scope (flagged per spec)
Intra-group legal agreement and any Stripe/billing-entity changes. A
future e-sign provider would plug in at `DpaService.generateSignedDpa` +
the signatory input.
> Draft until the integration test passes in CI and the legal
`TODO_CONFIRM` values are supplied.

feat(auth): collect the workspace logo on the sign-up creation step (#21723)
## What & why A single, consistent **workspace-creation step** for both multi-workspace and single-workspace self-host — collecting **name + logo** (and the **subdomain** in multi-workspace) — which **removes the duplicate name/logo prompt** that previously reappeared on the workspace subdomain (reported after #21641). ## Changes **One creation form for both modes** - With 0 workspaces, both multi-workspace and single-workspace route to the shared `SignInUpWorkspaceCreationForm`; `SignInUp` renders it for the `WorkspaceCreation` step regardless of domain/scope. - The subdomain field shows only in multi-workspace; single-workspace keeps its fixed address. **Logo on the creation step** - New scoped `uploadNewWorkspaceLogo(workspaceId, file)` mutation: the creator sets a logo on their just-created `PENDING_CREATION` workspace via the workspace-agnostic token (membership enforced — only the creator is a member at that point), reusing `uploadWorkspacePicture`. Upload size is capped via `settings.storage.maxFileSize` (also applied to the existing logo / profile-picture uploads). - The picked file is held locally (object-URL preview, revoked on unmount) and uploaded right after creation (non-fatal on failure). **Onboarding step → pure activation loader** - The old "Create your workspace" form (name + logo) is removed. The onboarding step now activates the pending workspace on mount and shows the loader, with a **Retry** action on failure. ## Testing - typecheck (front + server) ✅; oxlint + oxfmt clean on changed files ✅ - Unit tests: `auth.resolver.spec`, `useWorkspaceSubdomainField`, `SignInUpWorkspaceCreationForm` (multi + single-workspace), `useAuth` ✅ - Metadata GraphQL + `twenty-client-sdk` schema regenerated. chore(deps): upgrade Tier-1 deps (googleapis 173, gaxios 7, express 5, jsdom 29, date-fns 4, stripe 20) (#21570)
## What Security-driven upgrade of the biggest-drift Tier-1 dependencies (staying on latest = staying patched). Bundled because they share the lockfile and the googleapis/gaxios pair must move together. | Package | From | To | Gap | |---|---|---|---| | googleapis | 105.0.0 | **173.0.0** | 68 majors | | gaxios | 5.1.3 | **7.1.5** | 2 majors | | express | 4.22.2 | **5.2.1** | 1 major | | jsdom | 26.1.0 | **29.1.1** | 3 majors | | date-fns | 2.30.0 | **4.4.0** | 2 majors | | date-fns-tz | 2.0.0 | **3.2.0** | 1 major | | stripe | 19.3.1 | **20.4.1** | 1 major | `yarn npm audit` reports **0 high/critical** advisories before and after. ## Code changes - **gaxios v7** — `GaxiosError.code` is now `string | number` (guard the calendar network-error check by `typeof`); `GaxiosError` config/response use `URL` + `Headers`; and crucially the v7 constructor drops `response.data` unless `bodyUsed` is set — updated the synthetic gmail error mocks accordingly (production gaxios sets it, so real error parsing is unaffected). - **google-auth-library / gaxios dedup** — `googleapis-common@8.0.2` exact-pins `google-auth-library@10.5.0` + `gaxios@7.1.3` while `googleapis` pulls `^10.2.0`; the two copies made `OAuth2Client`/`GaxiosError` type-identities diverge across every gmail/calendar service. Added two singleton `resolutions` (documented inline in root `package.json`). - **express 5** — no source changes. `@nestjs/platform-express@11.1.24` already resolves `express@5.2.1` internally; the old `4.22.2` pin was the override. - **jsdom 29** — no source changes, but it now pulls ESM-only transitive deps (`@csstools/*` `.mjs`, `parse5`, `entities`, `tough-cookie`, `@exodus/bytes`). Extended the server jest `transformIgnorePatterns` allowlist and added `.mjs` to the transform/extensions so jest can load jsdom. - **stripe 20** — `Subscription` gained a required `customer_account` field; added to mocks. No runtime changes. - **date-fns v4** — `Locale` is no longer ambient (import explicitly in 5 files); per-locale entrypoints dropped the typed `default` export (the locale loader now reads the single named export); fixed the default locale import in `formatTimeZoneLabel`. ## Tests - Full suites green locally: **twenty-server 5709 passed**, **twenty-front 4937 passed**, twenty-ui / twenty-ui-deprecated green; typecheck + builds (swc + vite) + lint all pass. - Added regression tests for the two runtime behaviors these upgrades touch and that had no coverage: - `getDateFnsLocale` — named-export locale resolution (date-fns v4). - `sanitizeFile` — jsdom 29 + DOMPurify still strips `<script>`/event handlers from uploaded SVGs (security guard). ## Deliberately deferred (not in this PR) - **stripe → 21/22**: stripe **21** bundles a runtime `Decimal` type for money fields **and** jumps the pinned API version to `2026-03-25.dahlia` (changes webhook/billing payload behavior) — too risky to fold into a deps bump on billing code. stripe **22** additionally drops the node10-resolvable `types` entry, which would force a repo-wide `moduleResolution` change. Capped at the latest clean **20.x**. - **openid-client → 6**: v6 is a full functional rewrite and its passport strategy manages the OAuth `state` internally, but our SSO flow uses `state` to carry `identityProviderId` across the shared `/auth/oidc/callback`. That needs an auth-flow redesign (session-carried provider id) on Enterprise SSO code with no integration harness — it deserves its own focused PR rather than riding along here. ## Tier-1 source Originated from a dependency-drift audit; remaining Tier-1 items (date-fns done here) plus Tier-2/3 follow-ups tracked separately. <!-- This is an auto-generated description by cubic. --> <a href="https://cubic.dev/pr/twentyhq/twenty/pull/21570?utm_source=github" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-no-image-dialog="true"><picture><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"><source media="(prefers-color-scheme: light)" srcset="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-light.svg"><img alt="Review in cubic" src="https://www.cubic.dev/buttons/review-in-cubic-dark.svg"></picture></a> <!-- End of auto-generated description by cubic. --> |

fix: use canonical oxlint rule id in lint-disable directives (#21253)
## What Many `oxlint-disable` / `eslint-disable` directives across the repo carry a corrupted rule id — `@typescripttypescript/<rule>` — most likely a find-and-replace accident that mangled the eslint-era `@typescript-eslint/` prefix. oxlint matches disable directives **loosely by rule name**, so these still suppress in practice (not a silent no-op), but the id is malformed and misleading. ## Change Replace them with the **canonical oxlint id** `typescript/<rule>` — matching the plugin name and rule keys declared in `.oxlintrc.json` — **127 files, 262 directives**: | rule | count | | --- | ----- | | `typescript/no-explicit-any` | 250 | | `typescript/ban-ts-comment` | 6 | | `typescript/no-misused-promises` | 4 | | `typescript/no-empty-object-type` | 2 | - `twenty-server`: 122 files - `twenty-front`: 5 files Comment-only — no code or runtime changes. ## Verification `oxlint --type-aware -c .oxlintrc.json` reports **0 warnings / 0 errors** for both `twenty-server` and `twenty-front`. Every changed line is exactly the id correction inside a disable directive (262 insertions / 262 deletions, no collateral edits). > Addresses the cubic review, which flagged that the canonical oxlint id is `typescript/...` (no `@`). Worth noting the original `@typescripttypescript/` was not actually a silent no-op — oxlint matches these directives loosely by rule name — but `typescript/` is the correct, config-aligned id. |

feat(settings): discovery hero rollout + ephemeral playground token (#21072)
## Summary
Two intertwined streams of work:
### UI — discovery hero pattern, settings shell, AI/API redesign
- **Generalize `SettingsDiscoveryHeroCard`** and use it on Layout, Data
Model, Apps, AI, API/Webhooks, Members. Drops 4 per-page wrapper files
(`SettingsObjectCoverImage`, `SettingsLayoutCoverImage`,
`SettingsLayoutCustomizeVideoModal`,
`SettingsDataModelVisualizeVideoModal`). Each page now supplies cover
src, modal id, and tab list.
- **Modal**: swap `<video>` placeholder for the Vimeo iframe pattern
from `twenty-docs`, per-tab `vimeoId`. Drop the parallel border-bottom
on the header (TabList draws its own baseline) and the grey background
behind the video. Note: Vimeo's embed allowlist applies — the iframes
load with the correct URL on `localhost` but the player itself requires
the video owner to allow the dev/staging domains in Vimeo settings.
- **AI page** rebuilt into a Cockpit pattern (Overview / Models / Skills
/ Tools / Usage). New `SettingsAiOverviewTab` with default Smart/Fast
pickers, at-a-glance stats, and an MCP signpost that deep-links to
`/settings/api-webhooks#mcp`. System Prompt link moved under Models.
Advanced tab removed.
- **API & Webhooks** now has 4 tabs (Playground / MCP / API Keys /
Webhooks). Hero card above tabs. Playground tab inverted to "Core API" /
"Metadata API" sections, each containing REST + GraphQL cards — schema
is the meaningful axis, protocol is secondary. Hash deep-link sync
delegated to the shared `TabListFromUrlOptionalEffect`.
- **Settings shell**: unified drawer outer padding (kill `isSettings`
branch), extract `CollapsibleNavigationDrawerSection`, add `iconColor`
on settings nav items, fix Exit Settings button alignment, 880px content
cap.
### Backend — strategy C: ephemeral playground token
The legacy paste-your-API-key flow is replaced by an on-demand
short-lived token scoped to the calling user's permissions. No shared
"Playground" API key to manage or revoke.
- New `JwtTokenTypeEnum.PLAYGROUND`. `PlaygroundTokenJwtPayload =
Omit<AccessTokenJwtPayload, 'type' | impersonation fields>` so any
future ACCESS claim flows through automatically.
- `AccessTokenService.generatePlaygroundToken` signs an access-shaped
JWT with `type: PLAYGROUND` and a configurable short TTL. A shared
private `resolveTokenSubject` helper parallelizes the user / workspace /
userWorkspace lookups for both generators.
- `JwtAuthStrategy.validateAccessToken` widened to accept
`AccessTokenJwtPayload | PlaygroundTokenJwtPayload`; impersonation gated
on `payload.type === ACCESS` so the union narrows without `as unknown
as` casts. The two branches in `validate()` collapse into one.
- New `PLAYGROUND_TOKEN_EXPIRES_IN` config var (default `2h`).
- New `generatePlaygroundToken` mutation (`WorkspaceAuthGuard`, no args,
returns `AuthToken`).
- Frontend `useOpenPlayground` hook centralizes mint → atom write →
navigate, with Apollo `onError` snackbar and a "use cached PLAYGROUND
token if still fresh" short-circuit (decodes via `jwt-decode`, checks
both `type` AND `exp`). Old API_KEY tokens left in localStorage from the
prior paste-form flow are rejected on `type` alone and force a re-mint —
this is what was causing the "This API Key is revoked" symptom on stale
browsers.
### Drive-by cleanups
- `PlaygroundToken` DTO removed (identical shape to `AuthToken` already
in use).
- 5 `customize-sidebar.webm` imports and the dead placeholder pipeline
removed.
## Test plan
### Discovery hero
- [ ] `/settings/layout`, `/settings/data-model`,
`/settings/applications`, `/settings/ai`, `/settings/api-webhooks`,
`/settings/members` each render the discovery hero card with its
illustration + play button + tabbed modal
- [ ] Modal tabs show the correct Vimeo embed URL per tab; aspect ratio
stays at 1440/900; no parallel border-bottom jog at the tab baseline
- [ ] AI Overview tab shows Smart/Fast model pickers + stats grid + MCP
signpost card; the MCP card lands on `/settings/api-webhooks#mcp` with
the MCP tab active
### API playground (ephemeral token)
- [ ] With an empty `playgroundApiKeyState` in localStorage, clicking
REST or GraphQL playground card opens the playground and the cached
token has `type: "PLAYGROUND"` with ~2h exp
- [ ] Clicking the card again within the freshness window does **not**
re-mint (`iat` / fingerprint stable across visits)
- [ ] Planting a fake API_KEY-shaped JWT in localStorage and clicking
the card forces a fresh mint (old token rejected on `type`)
- [ ] `GET /rest/companies?limit=1` with the cached token returns 200 +
real data
- [ ] `POST /graphql { __typename }` returns 200
### Settings shell
- [ ] Settings nav matches main app drawer padding; sections collapse;
Exit Settings button aligns with the workspace links above
- [ ] Active nav items have a right-gap (cleaner active state)
- [ ] Content area capped at 880px
### Verify
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` passes
- [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` passes
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-front` passes
- [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` passes

feat(twenty-orm): introduce WorkspaceScopedRepository for core/metadata workspace-scoped entities (#20953)
## Summary Adds a third tenancy enforcement layer for entities that live in shared schemas (`core`, `metadata`) and carry a `workspaceId` column — previously the only safeguard at this layer was developer discipline (remembering to put `workspaceId` in every WHERE clause). ### The three layers, after this PR | Layer | Scope | How it's enforced | |---|---|---| | 1. Workspace data | per-workspace schema (companies, people, custom objects) | `twentyORMManager.getRepository(workspace, E)` — physical isolation (own data source) | | 2. Metadata | shared `metadata` schema (objectMetadata, fieldMetadata, views, roles…) | Flat-entity-maps cache — workspace-scoped in-memory map, lookups by id within it | | 3. Core (new) | shared `core` schema (agent threads/turns/messages, app tokens, etc.) | `WorkspaceScopedRepository<T>` — `workspaceId` is a required positional argument on every read/write | ## What's in the PR ### The wrapper (`packages/twenty-server/src/engine/twenty-orm/workspace-scoped-repository/`) - `WorkspaceScopedRepository<T extends WorkspaceScopedEntity>` — wraps a TypeORM `Repository<T>`, requires `workspaceId` on every `find`/`findOne`/`findOneOrFail`/`update`/`delete`/`softDelete`/`insert`/`save`/`count` call, merging it into the WHERE or stamping it on the entity. `createQueryBuilder` is an explicit escape hatch (caller scopes manually). - Provided via Nest DI with `@InjectWorkspaceScopedRepository(EntityClass)` and the `provideWorkspaceScopedRepository(EntityClass)` provider factory. - 19 unit tests cover the merge behavior, override-on-conflict, and the array-where (OR) case. ### Lint enforcement (`packages/twenty-oxlint-rules/rules/prefer-workspace-scoped-repository.ts`) - New `twenty/prefer-workspace-scoped-repository` rule (level: **error**). - Blacklist of entity names: raw `@InjectRepository(E)` is rejected if `E` is on the list. - Initial list: `AgentTurnEntity`, `AgentMessageEntity`, `AgentMessagePartEntity`, `AgentChatThreadEntity`, `AgentTurnEvaluationEntity`, `AgentEntity`. - Designed to grow over time as more consumers are migrated. - 5 rule tests. ### Migration in this PR All consumers of the six blacklisted entities, including: - AI agent / chat / monitor resolvers, services, and jobs - `AgentService`, `AiAgentRoleService`, `AiAgentWorkflowAction`, `ApplicationService`, `WorkspaceFlatAgentMapCacheService` - Admin-panel chat (migrated where the lookup is workspace-known; one documented `eslint-disable` on the threadId-discovery lookup that necessarily precedes the `allowImpersonation` permission check) - `AiAgentRoleService` unit spec updated to mock the scoped wrapper ## Future work (deliberately not in this PR) A standalone audit identified ~14 additional `core`/`metadata` entities with `workspaceId` that currently use raw `@InjectRepository` and could be added to the blacklist. Notable candidates: `UserWorkspaceEntity` (42 sites), `AppTokenEntity` (10), `FileEntity` (7), `BillingCustomerEntity`/`BillingSubscriptionEntity` (~22 combined). Each should be its own PR — the migration is mechanical but the surface is wide. ## Test plan - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` — clean - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-server` — 0 warnings, 0 errors - [x] `npx jest workspace-scoped-repository` — 19/19 pass - [x] `npx nx test twenty-oxlint-rules` — 215/215 pass - [x] `npx jest src/engine/metadata-modules/ai` — 44/44 pass - [ ] Manual smoke: end-to-end AI agent chat send/receive (reviewer) - [ ] Manual smoke: AI agent monitor — list turns, run evaluation (reviewer) - [ ] Manual smoke: admin-panel chat thread inspection (reviewer) |

FileStorageService Dedicated file and folder code flow + integrity check (#20831)
# Introduction
Next handling mimetype integrity check and checksum integrity check for
s3 storage type
Always expecting a trailing end slash when deleting a folder etc
## Application
Uninstalling an application now deletes all its related files
## File storage service
Making a distincton between folder path and file path
## Validation Pipeline
Every file operation in `FileStorageService.buildOnStoragePath` runs
through `validateResourcePath`, which chains three validators in order:
**1. `validateSafeRelativePath`** -- rejects path traversal attacks
| Input | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|
| `../../../etc/passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must not contain
path traversal (..)` |
| `/etc/passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must be relative, not
absolute` |
| `file\0.txt` | Rejected | `Resource path contains null bytes` |
| `..\\..\\etc\\passwd` | Rejected | `Resource path must not contain
backslashes` |
| _(empty)_ | Rejected | `Resource path must not be empty` |
**2. `validateFilenameIntegrity`** -- enforces safe characters, length
limits, extension required
| Input | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|
| `my folder/file.mjs` | Rejected | `A path segment contains invalid
characters...` |
| `Makefile` | Rejected | `Filename must have an extension` |
| `aaa...(256 chars).mjs` | Rejected | `A path segment exceeds the
maximum length of 255 characters` |
| `a/b/.../file.mjs` (1025+ chars) | Rejected | `Resource path exceeds
maximum length of 1024 characters` |
| `src/handlers/index.mjs` | Accepted | -- |
| `my-app/my_file.tsx` | Accepted | -- |
| `v1.0/module.config.mjs` | Accepted | -- |
Allowed characters per segment: `a-z`, `A-Z`, `0-9`, `.`, `-`, `_`
**3. `validateResourceExtension`** -- checks extension against the
`FileFolder` allowlist
| Input | FileFolder | Result | Error |
|---|---|---|---|
| `handler.js` | `BuiltLogicFunction` | Rejected | `Invalid file
extension. Allowed extensions: .mjs` |
| `card.tsx` | `BuiltFrontComponent` | Rejected | `Invalid file
extension. Allowed extensions: .mjs` |
| `script.js` | `PublicAsset` | Rejected | `Invalid file extension.
Allowed extensions: .png, .jpg, ...` |
| `index.mjs` | `BuiltLogicFunction` | Accepted | -- |
| `app.tsx` | `Source` | Accepted | -- |
| `photo.png` | `CorePicture` | Accepted | -- (unconfigured folder,
passes through) |
## Consumers
- **`FileStorageService`** -- calls `validateResourcePath`, throws
`FileStorageException` on failure (last-resort defense)
- **Resolver (`uploadApplicationFile`)** -- calls
`validateResourcePath`, throws `ApplicationException` on failure
(user-facing)
- **Flat validators** -- call `validateResourcePath`, push the error to
`validationResult.errors` (non-throwing, collects all errors)
All error messages are translated via Lingui `t` and returned in a
discriminated union `{ isValid: true } | { isValid: false, error: string
}`, letting each consumer decide how to handle failures.

feat(server): migrate all remaining JWT token types to ES256 (#20513)
## Summary Extends the asymmetric signing work from #20467 to cover **every remaining `JwtTokenTypeEnum` value**: `LOGIN`, `WORKSPACE_AGNOSTIC`, `FILE`, `API_KEY`, `APPLICATION_ACCESS`, `APPLICATION_REFRESH`, `APP_OAUTH_STATE`, plus the ACCESS-shaped session token issued by the code interpreter tool. After this PR, every JWT the server signs is ES256 with a `kid` pointing at the current `core."signingKey"` row, while legacy HS256 tokens (no `kid` header) remain verifiable indefinitely through the existing fallback in `JwtWrapperService.resolveVerificationKey`. No new entity / migration / config: this is a pure routing change on top of the infrastructure that already shipped. ## Why `#20467` only flipped `ACCESS` and `REFRESH` to ES256. Every other JWT type was still HS256-signed against the global `APP_SECRET`, which kept the original blast radius (a leaked `APP_SECRET` invalidates *every* JWT type forever). Migrating the rest unifies the sign path on rotatable per-server private keys without forcing any token reissue. ## Mechanical changes ### Sign side (8 services) - `LoginTokenService.generateLoginToken` - `TransientTokenService.generateTransientToken` - `WorkspaceAgnosticTokenService.generateWorkspaceAgnosticToken` - `ApplicationTokenService.signApplicationToken` (`APPLICATION_ACCESS` + `APPLICATION_REFRESH`) - `ApiKeyService.generateApiKeyToken` - `FileUrlService.signFileByIdUrl` / `signWorkspaceLogoUrl` - `ConnectionProviderOAuthFlowService.signState` (`APP_OAUTH_STATE`) - `CodeInterpreterTool.generateSessionToken` Each call site swaps `jwtWrapperService.sign(payload, { secret: generateAppSecret(...), ... })` for `await jwtWrapperService.signAsync(payload, { expiresIn, [jwtid] })`. The `generateAppSecret` calls on the sign side are dropped (verifier-side `generateAppSecret` stays in `resolveVerificationKey` for the HS256 fallback). ### Verifier side - `WorkspaceAgnosticTokenService.validateToken` now goes through `verifyJwtToken` instead of the bespoke `verify({ secret })` path, so new ES256 tokens are accepted while the legacy HS256 fallback inside `resolveVerificationKey` still serves the old shape. - `JwtWrapperService.sign()` is kept (legacy compat / tests) but is now strictly deprecated — there are no remaining production callers. ### Async ripple (`signFileByIdUrl` was synchronous) - `FileUrlService.signFileByIdUrl` and `signWorkspaceLogoUrl` are now `async`; the `signUrl` callback used by `getRecordImageIdentifier` is widened to accept `Promise<string | null>`. - Every direct/indirect caller is updated: admin panel (user lookup + statistics + top workspaces), search service (`computeSearchObjectResults`, `getImageIdentifierValue`), workspace resolver (`logo` resolver, public workspace by domain/id), `WorkspaceMemberTranspiler` (now `async toWorkspaceMemberDto[s]` / `toDeletedWorkspaceMemberDto[s]` / `generateSignedAvatarUrl`), `UserService.loadSignedAvatarUrlsByUserId`, `UserWorkspaceService.castWorkspaceToAvailableWorkspace`, workspace-invitation, approved-access-domain, agent-chat-streaming, agent-message-part resolver, navigation-menu-item record identifier, file-ai-chat / file-core-picture / file-email-attachment / file-workflow / files-field services, rich-text & files-field query result getters, and the code-interpreter tool. ## Backward compatibility - **Legacy HS256 tokens (no `kid`)** keep verifying via `resolveVerificationKey` → `extractAppSecretBody` → `generateAppSecret` for both `workspaceId`-bearing and `userId`-bearing payloads. - The `API_KEY` HS256-via-ACCESS-secret fallback (#16504) still kicks in inside `verifyJwtToken` for pre-2025-12-12 API keys. - No payload shape changes, no DB writes, no env var changes — old tokens issued by `main` continue to authenticate. ## Tests ### Unit (all green locally — 63/63) Updated specs for every migrated service to mock `signAsync` instead of `sign` and assert the new option shape: - `login-token.service.spec.ts`, `transient-token.service.spec.ts`, `workspace-agnostic-token.service.spec.ts`, `application-token.service.spec.ts`, `api-key.service.spec.ts`, `connection-provider-oauth-flow.service.spec.ts`. ### Integration (`jwt-key-rotation.integration-spec.ts`) - Existing ACCESS coverage (current key, legacy HS256 fallback, rotated-out key, revoked key, unknown kid) is preserved. - New `it.each` assertion: `REFRESH`, `WORKSPACE_AGNOSTIC`, and `LOGIN` tokens emitted by the real signUp → signUpInNewWorkspace → getAuthTokensFromLoginToken pipeline are ES256 with a `kid` matching the current signing key — proves end-to-end that the migration didn't regress those flows. ## Open question (separate decision) This PR keeps the legacy HS256 verification fallback **forever**. We may eventually want to sunset it for `API_KEY` once telemetry shows pre-migration tokens are gone, but that's a separate product/security decision and not part of this change. ## Test plan - [ ] CI green - [ ] `npx nx lint:diff-with-main twenty-server` passes - [ ] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` passes - [ ] `jwt-key-rotation` integration suite passes (new + existing assertions) - [ ] Manually verify: signing in issues an ES256 ACCESS / REFRESH token, generating an API key issues an ES256 token with `kid`, signed file URL JWT is ES256 with `kid` - [ ] Pre-existing HS256 tokens still authenticate (covered by integration test, but worth a manual check with a token from `main`) |

Fix/workspace member avatars 20193 (#20200)
Fixes #20193 **Bug Description:** Previously, workspace member avatars failed to render correctly in table views and relation chips (such as the Account Owner field). While the avatar picker dropdown correctly fetched fresh GraphQL data, table views and chips relied on the cached defaultAvatarUrl or avatarUrl fields, which were frequently resolving to empty strings or failing to parse external OAuth URLs correctly. **Root Cause:** - Empty String Defaults: Deleting an avatar or failing to retrieve one defaulted the database state to an empty string ("") instead of null, which caused frontend image components to break rather than render their fallback states. - Missing Permanent URLs: The WorkspaceMemberTranspiler was strictly expecting internal signed URLs. If an avatar was an external OAuth URL, it incorrectly returned an empty string, breaking SSO profile pictures. - Missing Fallbacks: New users lacked a proper Gravatar fallback assignment upon workspace creation. **Changes Made:** - user-workspace.service.ts: Updated the avatar computation logic during user creation to implement a reliable Gravatar fallback and correctly set missing avatars to null instead of empty strings. Updated the storage to use permanent file URLs. - file-url.service.ts: Implemented a getRawFileUrl method to support rendering permanent, non-expiring file URLs for avatars. - workspace-member-transpiler.service.ts: Refactored the URL transpilation logic to gracefully pass through external OAuth URLs (e.g., Google/Microsoft profile pictures) instead of stripping them. - WorkspaceMemberPictureUploader.tsx: Fixed the frontend removal logic so that deleting a profile picture sets the avatarUrl to null (consistent with the backend) rather than an empty string. **Testing:** - Verified that avatars correctly display in relation chips and table views. - Verified that external OAuth avatars load properly. - Verified that deleting an avatar correctly resets the UI to the fallback initials component. refactor: standardize AI acronym to Ai (PascalCase) across internal identifiers (#19837)
## Summary
The "AI" acronym was rendered inconsistently across the codebase. The
backend AI module had settled on PascalCase `Ai` (`AiAgentModule`,
`AiBillingService`, `AiChatModule`, `AiModelRegistryService`, etc.),
while frontend components, several DTOs, a few types, and shared
identifiers still used all-caps `AI` (`AIChatTab`,
`AISystemPromptPreviewDTO`, `SettingsPath.AIPrompts`, ...). CLAUDE.md
specifies PascalCase for classes; this PR normalizes everything internal
to `Ai`.
**This is a pure internal rename.** The GraphQL schema is untouched —
`@ObjectType` decorator string arguments, resolver method names (which
become Query/Mutation field names), gql template contents, and the
`generated-metadata/graphql.ts` file are preserved verbatim. The only
visible change is TypeScript identifiers and file names.
## Also folded in (adjacent cleanups)
- **`AgentModelConfigService` → `AiModelConfigService`**. Lives in
`ai-models/` and is used by multiple AI code paths, not just the Agent
entity. The "Agent" prefix was misleading.
- **`generate-text-input.dto.ts` → `generate-text.input.ts`**. The
`ai-agent/dtos/` folder already uses `<entity>.input.ts` convention for
Input classes (`create-agent.input.ts` etc.); the old path mixed
`.dto.ts` file extension with a class that has no DTO suffix. File
rename only; class stays `GenerateTextInput`.
- **Removed stale TODO** in `ai-model-config.type.ts` that asked for the
`AiModelConfig` rename that this PR performs.
## Rename methodology
Bulk rename via perl with anchored regex
`(?<!['"])(?<![A-Z.])AI([A-Z])(?=[a-z])/Ai$1/g`:
- **Lookbehind for non-uppercase** skips adjacent acronyms (`MOSAIC`,
`OIDCSSO`) and leaves `AIRBNB_ID` alone.
- **Lookbehind for non-quote** protects most string literals.
- **Lookahead for lowercase** restricts matches to PascalCase
identifiers (`AIChatTab`), leaving SCREAMING_SNAKE constants untouched.
Strict file-scope exclusions: `generated-metadata/**`, `generated/**`,
`locales/**`, `migrations/**`, `illustrations/**`, `halftone/**`, and
the two gql template files (`queries/getAISystemPromptPreview.ts`,
`mutations/uploadAIChatFile.ts`).
Post-rename reverts for identifiers where the regex was too eager:
- Backend resolver method names kept: `getAISystemPromptPreview`,
`uploadAIChatFile` (they are GraphQL field names).
- `@ObjectType('AdminAIModels')` / `('AISystemPromptPreview')` /
`('AISystemPromptSection')` kept as-is.
- Backend classes `ClientAIModelConfig` / `AdminAIModelConfig` kept
as-is (they use `@ObjectType()` with no argument, so the class name IS
the schema name).
- External-library symbols restored: `OpenAIProvider`,
`createOpenAICompatible`, `vercelAIIntegration`.
File renames use a two-step rename to work on macOS case-insensitive
filesystems: `git mv X.tsx X.tsx.tmp && git mv X.tsx.tmp renamed.tsx`.
## Diff audit
- 0 changes to migrations
- 0 changes to locale `.po` / `.ts` files
- 0 changes to `generated-metadata/graphql.ts`
- 0 changes to website illustration files (base64 blobs preserved)

feat: add S3 presigned URL redirect for file downloads (#18864)
## Summary - When `STORAGE_S3_PRESIGNED_URL_BASE` is configured, the file controller returns a **302 redirect** to a presigned S3 URL instead of proxying every byte through the server. This eliminates server bandwidth and CPU overhead for S3-backed deployments. - For local storage or S3 without a public endpoint, behavior is unchanged (stream + pipe with security headers). - Added `getPresignedUrl` to the `StorageDriver` interface (required method returning `string | null`), with implementations in S3Driver (uses a separate presign client with the public endpoint), LocalDriver (returns `null`), and ValidatedStorageDriver (path traversal protection + delegation). - Added a unified `getFileResponseById` method in `FileService` that performs a single DB lookup and returns either a redirect URL or a stream, avoiding double lookups. - Extracted `getContentDisposition` from the header util so both the proxy path and presigned URL path share the same inline/attachment allowlist. - Added MinIO service to `docker-compose.dev.yml` (optional `s3` profile) for local S3 testing. - Documented S3 presigned URL setup, CORS, and `nosniff` requirements in the self-hosting docs. ## Test plan - [x] All 63 unit tests pass across 5 test suites (util, S3 driver, validated driver, file storage service, controller) - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` passes - [ ] Manual E2E test with MinIO: `docker compose --profile s3 up -d`, configure S3 env vars, verify `curl -I` returns 302 with `Location` header pointing to MinIO - [ ] Verify local storage (no `STORAGE_S3_PRESIGNED_URL_BASE`) still streams files with 200 + security headers - [ ] Verify public assets endpoint still proxies (no redirect) Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

Refactor twenty client sdk provisioning for logic function and front-component (#18544)
## 1. The `twenty-client-sdk` Package (Source of Truth)
The monorepo package at `packages/twenty-client-sdk` ships with:
- A **pre-built metadata client** (static, generated from a fixed
schema)
- A **stub core client** that throws at runtime (`CoreApiClient was not
generated...`)
- Both ESM (`.mjs`) and CJS (`.cjs`) bundles in `dist/`
- A `package.json` with proper `exports` map for
`twenty-client-sdk/core`, `twenty-client-sdk/metadata`, and
`twenty-client-sdk/generate`
## 2. Generation & Upload (Server-Side, at Migration Time)
**When**: `WorkspaceMigrationRunnerService.run()` executes after a
metadata schema change.
**What happens in `SdkClientGenerationService.generateAndStore()`**:
1. Copies the stub `twenty-client-sdk` package from the server's assets
(resolved via `SDK_CLIENT_PACKAGE_DIRNAME` — from
`dist/assets/twenty-client-sdk/` in production, or from `node_modules`
in dev)
2. Filters out `node_modules/` and `src/` during copy — only
`package.json` + `dist/` are kept (like an npm publish)
3. Calls `replaceCoreClient()` which uses `@genql/cli` to introspect the
**application-scoped** GraphQL schema and generates a real
`CoreApiClient`, then compiles it to ESM+CJS and overwrites
`dist/core.mjs` and `dist/core.cjs`
4. Archives the **entire package** (with `package.json` + `dist/`) into
`twenty-client-sdk.zip`
5. Uploads the single archive to S3 under
`FileFolder.GeneratedSdkClient`
6. Sets `isSdkLayerStale = true` on the `ApplicationEntity` in the
database
## 3. Invalidation Signal
The `isSdkLayerStale` boolean column on `ApplicationEntity` is the
invalidation mechanism:
- **Set to `true`** by `generateAndStore()` after uploading a new client
archive
- **Checked** by both logic function drivers before execution — if
`true`, they rebuild their local layer
- **Set back to `false`** by `markSdkLayerFresh()` after the driver has
successfully consumed the new archive
Default is `false` so existing applications without a generated client
aren't affected.
## 4a. Logic Functions — Local Driver
**`ensureSdkLayer()`** is called before every execution:
1. Checks if the local SDK layer directory exists AND `isSdkLayerStale`
is `false` → early return
2. Otherwise, cleans the local layer directory
3. Calls `downloadAndExtractToPackage()` which streams the zip from S3
directly to disk and extracts the full package into
`<tmpdir>/sdk/<workspaceId>-<appId>/node_modules/twenty-client-sdk/`
4. Calls `markSdkLayerFresh()` to set `isSdkLayerStale = false`
**At execution time**, `assembleNodeModules()` symlinks everything from
the deps layer's `node_modules/` **except** `twenty-client-sdk`, which
is symlinked from the SDK layer instead. This ensures the logic
function's `import ... from 'twenty-client-sdk/core'` resolves to the
generated client.
## 4b. Logic Functions — Lambda Driver
**`ensureSdkLayer()`** is called during `build()`:
1. Checks if `isSdkLayerStale` is `false` and an existing Lambda layer
ARN exists → early return
2. Otherwise, deletes all existing layer versions for this SDK layer
name
3. Calls `downloadArchiveBuffer()` to get the raw zip from S3 (no disk
extraction)
4. Calls `reprefixZipEntries()` which streams the zip entries into a
**new zip** with the path prefix
`nodejs/node_modules/twenty-client-sdk/` — this is the Lambda layer
convention path. All done in memory, no disk round-trip
5. Publishes the re-prefixed zip as a new Lambda layer via
`publishLayer()`
6. Calls `markSdkLayerFresh()`
**At function creation**, the Lambda is created with **two layers**:
`[depsLayerArn, sdkLayerArn]`. The SDK layer is listed last so it
overwrites the stub `twenty-client-sdk` from the deps layer (later
layers take precedence in Lambda's `/opt` merge).
## 5. Front Components
Front components are built by `app:build` with `twenty-client-sdk/core`
and `twenty-client-sdk/metadata` as **esbuild externals**. The stored
`.mjs` in S3 has unresolved bare import specifiers like `import {
CoreApiClient } from 'twenty-client-sdk/core'`.
SDK import resolution is split between the **frontend host** (fetching &
caching SDK modules) and the **Web Worker** (rewriting imports):
**Server endpoints**:
- `GET /rest/front-components/:id` —
`FrontComponentService.getBuiltComponentStream()` returns the **raw
`.mjs`** directly from file storage. No bundling, no SDK injection.
- `GET /rest/sdk-client/:applicationId/:moduleName` —
`SdkClientController` reads a single file (e.g. `dist/core.mjs`) from
the generated SDK archive via
`SdkClientGenerationService.readFileFromArchive()` and serves it as
JavaScript.
**Frontend host** (`FrontComponentRenderer` in `twenty-front`):
1. Queries `FindOneFrontComponent` which returns `applicationId`,
`builtComponentChecksum`, `usesSdkClient`, and `applicationTokenPair`
2. If `usesSdkClient` is `true`, renders
`FrontComponentRendererWithSdkClient` which calls the
`useApplicationSdkClient` hook
3. `useApplicationSdkClient({ applicationId, accessToken })` checks the
Jotai atom family cache for existing blob URLs. On cache miss, fetches
both SDK modules from `GET /rest/sdk-client/:applicationId/core` and
`/metadata`, creates **blob URLs** for each, and stores them in the atom
family
4. Once the blob URLs are cached, passes them as `sdkClientUrls`
(already blob URLs, not server URLs) to `SharedFrontComponentRenderer` →
`FrontComponentWorkerEffect` → worker's `render()` call via
`HostToWorkerRenderContext`
**Worker** (`remote-worker.ts` in `twenty-sdk`):
1. Fetches the raw component `.mjs` source as text
2. If `sdkClientUrls` are provided and the source contains SDK import
specifiers (`twenty-client-sdk/core`, `twenty-client-sdk/metadata`),
**rewrites** the bare specifiers to the blob URLs received from the host
(e.g. `'twenty-client-sdk/core'` → `'blob:...'`)
3. Creates a blob URL for the rewritten source and `import()`s it
4. Revokes only the component blob URL after the module is loaded — the
SDK blob URLs are owned and managed by the host's Jotai cache
This approach eliminates server-side esbuild bundling on every request,
caches SDK modules per application in the frontend, and keeps the
worker's job to a simple string rewrite.

fix: add security headers to file serving endpoints to prevent stored XSS (#18857)
## Summary - File serving endpoints (`GET file/:fileFolder/:id` and `GET public-assets/...`) were piping S3/local file streams directly to the response without any HTTP headers, allowing a stored XSS attack via uploaded HTML files rendered inline on the CRM origin. - Adds `Content-Type`, `Content-Disposition`, and `X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff` headers to all file serving responses. Only known-safe MIME types (images, PDF, plain text, audio, video) are served inline; everything else (HTML, SVG, XML, etc.) forces `Content-Disposition: attachment` to trigger download instead of rendering. - New `setFileResponseHeaders` utility with an explicit allowlist of inline-safe MIME types. ## Test plan - [x] Unit tests pass (9 tests including 2 new ones: header assertions and attachment-disposition for HTML) - [x] Lint clean (`lint:diff-with-main`) - [x] Typecheck clean (`nx typecheck twenty-server`) - [ ] Manual: upload an HTML file via `uploadWorkflowFile`, access the returned URL — should download instead of rendering - [ ] Manual: upload a PNG image, access the URL — should render inline with correct `Content-Type: image/png` - [ ] Manual: verify `X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff` header is present on all file responses Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) --------- Co-authored-by: claude[bot] <41898282+claude[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Etienne <etiennejouan@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Etienne <45695613+etiennejouan@users.noreply.github.com> |

Refactor application module architecture for clarity and explicitness (#18432)
## Summary - **Module reorganization**: Moved `ApplicationUpgradeService` and cron jobs to `application-upgrade/`, `ApplicationSyncService` to `application-manifest/`, and `runWorkspaceMigration`/`uninstallApplication` mutations to the manifest resolver — each module now has a single clear responsibility. - **Explicit install flow**: Removed implicit `ApplicationEntity` creation from `ApplicationSyncService`. The install service and dev resolver now explicitly create the `ApplicationEntity` before syncing. npm packages are resolved at registration time to extract manifest metadata (universalIdentifier, name, description, etc.), eliminating the `reconcileUniversalIdentifier` hack. - **Better error handling**: Frontend hooks now surface actual server error messages in snackbars instead of swallowing them. Replaced the ugly `ConfirmationModal` for transfer ownership with a proper form modal. Fixed `SettingsAdminTableCard` row height overflow and corrected the `yarn-engine` asset path. ## Test plan - [ ] Register an npm package — verify manifest metadata (name, description, universalIdentifier) is extracted correctly - [ ] Install a registered npm app on a workspace — verify ApplicationEntity is created and sync succeeds - [ ] Test `app:dev` CLI flow — verify local app registration and sync work - [ ] Upload a tarball — verify registration and install flow - [ ] Transfer ownership — verify the new modal UX works - [ ] Verify error messages appear correctly in snackbars when operations fail Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

## Summary Fully replaces ESLint with OxLint across the entire monorepo: - **Replaced all ESLint configs** (`eslint.config.mjs`) with OxLint configs (`.oxlintrc.json`) for every package: `twenty-front`, `twenty-server`, `twenty-emails`, `twenty-ui`, `twenty-shared`, `twenty-sdk`, `twenty-zapier`, `twenty-docs`, `twenty-website`, `twenty-apps/*`, `create-twenty-app` - **Migrated custom lint rules** from ESLint plugin format to OxLint JS plugin system (`@oxlint/plugins`), including `styled-components-prefixed-with-styled`, `no-hardcoded-colors`, `sort-css-properties-alphabetically`, `graphql-resolvers-should-be-guarded`, `rest-api-methods-should-be-guarded`, `max-consts-per-file`, and Jotai-related rules - **Migrated custom rule tests** from ESLint `RuleTester` + Jest to `oxlint/plugins-dev` `RuleTester` + Vitest - **Removed all ESLint dependencies** from `package.json` files and regenerated lockfiles - **Updated Nx targets** (`lint`, `lint:diff-with-main`, `fmt`) in `nx.json` and per-project `project.json` to use `oxlint` commands with proper `dependsOn` for plugin builds - **Updated CI workflows** (`.github/workflows/ci-*.yaml`) — no more ESLint executor - **Updated IDE setup**: replaced `dbaeumer.vscode-eslint` with `oxc.oxc-vscode` extension, configured `source.fixAll.oxc` and format-on-save with Prettier - **Replaced all `eslint-disable` comments** with `oxlint-disable` equivalents across the codebase - **Updated docs** (`twenty-docs`) to reference OxLint instead of ESLint - **Renamed** `twenty-eslint-rules` package to `twenty-oxlint-rules` ### Temporarily disabled rules (tracked in `OXLINT_MIGRATION_TODO.md`) | Rule | Package | Violations | Auto-fixable | |------|---------|-----------|-------------| | `twenty/sort-css-properties-alphabetically` | twenty-front | 578 | Yes | | `typescript/consistent-type-imports` | twenty-server | 3814 | Yes | | `twenty/max-consts-per-file` | twenty-server | 94 | No | ### Dropped plugins (no OxLint equivalent) `eslint-plugin-project-structure`, `lingui/*`, `@stylistic/*`, `import/order`, `prefer-arrow/prefer-arrow-functions`, `eslint-plugin-mdx`, `@next/eslint-plugin-next`, `eslint-plugin-storybook`, `eslint-plugin-react-refresh`. Partial coverage for `jsx-a11y` and `unused-imports`. ### Additional fixes (pre-existing issues exposed by merge) - Fixed `EmailThreadPreview.tsx` broken import from main rename (`useOpenEmailThreadInSidePanel`) - Restored truthiness guard in `getActivityTargetObjectRecords.ts` - Fixed `AgentTurnResolver` return types to match entity (virtual `fileMediaType`/`fileUrl` are resolved via `@ResolveField()`) ## Test plan - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-front` passes - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-server` passes - [x] `npx nx lint twenty-docs` passes - [x] Custom oxlint rules validated with Vitest: `npx nx test twenty-oxlint-rules` - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-front` passes - [x] `npx nx typecheck twenty-server` passes - [x] CI workflows trigger correctly with `dependsOn: ["twenty-oxlint-rules:build"]` - [x] IDE linting works with `oxc.oxc-vscode` extension |

feat: add npm and tarball app distribution with upgrade mechanism (#18358)
## Summary - **npm + tarball app distribution**: Apps can be installed from the npm registry (public or private) or uploaded as `.tar.gz` tarballs, with `AppRegistrationSourceType` tracking the origin - **Upgrade mechanism**: `AppUpgradeService` checks for newer versions, supports rollback for npm-sourced apps, and a cron job runs every 6 hours to update `latestAvailableVersion` on registrations - **Security hardening**: Tarball extraction uses path traversal protection, and `enableScripts: false` in `.yarnrc.yml` disables all lifecycle scripts during `yarn install` to prevent RCE - **Frontend**: "Install from npm" and "Upload tarball" modals, upgrade button on app detail page, blue "Update" badge on installed apps table when a newer version is available - **Marketplace catalog sync**: Hourly cron job syncs a hardcoded catalog index into `ApplicationRegistration` entities - **Integration tests**: Coverage for install, upgrade, tarball upload, and catalog sync flows ## Backend changes | Area | Files | |------|-------| | Entity & migration | `ApplicationRegistrationEntity` (sourceType, sourcePackage, latestAvailableVersion), `ApplicationEntity` (applicationRegistrationId), migration | | Services | `AppPackageResolverService`, `ApplicationInstallService`, `AppUpgradeService`, `MarketplaceCatalogSyncService` | | Cron jobs | `MarketplaceCatalogSyncCronJob` (hourly), `AppVersionCheckCronJob` (every 6h) | | REST endpoint | `AppRegistrationUploadController` — tarball upload with secure extraction | | Resolver | `MarketplaceResolver` — simplified `installMarketplaceApp` (removed redundant `sourcePackage` arg) | | Security | `.yarnrc.yml` — `enableScripts: false` to block postinstall RCE | ## Frontend changes | Area | Files | |------|-------| | Modals | `SettingsInstallNpmAppModal`, `SettingsUploadTarballModal`, `SettingsAppModalLayout` | | Hooks | `useUploadAppTarball`, `useInstallMarketplaceApp` (cleaned up) | | Upgrade UI | `SettingsApplicationVersionContainer`, `SettingsApplicationDetailAboutTab` | | Badge | `SettingsApplicationTableRow` — blue "Update" tag, `SettingsApplicationsInstalledTab` — fetches registrations for version comparison | | Styling | Migrated to Linaria (matching main) | ## Test plan - [ ] Install an app from npm via the "Install from npm" modal - [ ] Upload a `.tar.gz` tarball via the "Upload tarball" modal - [ ] Verify upgrade badge appears when `latestAvailableVersion > version` - [ ] Verify upgrade flow from app detail page - [ ] Run integration tests: `app-distribution.integration-spec.ts`, `marketplace-catalog-sync.integration-spec.ts` - [ ] Verify `enableScripts: false` blocks postinstall scripts during yarn install Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) |

fix google signup edge case (#18365)
Fixes an edge case when a user signs up with Google and the profile avatar network request times out, we crash instead of creating the user without an avatar. Added `axios-retry` to retry max 2 times and if it still fails we gracefully skip avatar image instead of crashing Fixes Sentry TWENTY-SERVER-FDQ Sonarly https://sonarly.com/issue/6564 --------- Co-authored-by: greptile-apps[bot] <165735046+greptile-apps[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Charles Bochet <charles@twenty.com> Co-authored-by: cubic-dev-ai[bot] <191113872+cubic-dev-ai[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> |

OAuth Client — Unified ApplicationRegistration, OAuth server, and frontend (#18267)
## Summary Consolidates three separate PRs (#18260, #18261, #18262) into a single unified branch with all review feedback addressed: ### New features - **ApplicationRegistration entity** — server-level registration for OAuth apps with encrypted server variables - **OAuth 2.0 server** — authorization code, client credentials, refresh token grants with PKCE support - **OAuth discovery endpoint** — `.well-known/oauth-authorization-server` metadata - **Frontend UI** — app registration details page with credential management, redirect URI editing, and server variable configuration - **CLI integration** — `twenty dev` auto-registers apps and stores OAuth credentials locally - **Authorize consent screen** — OAuth consent page at `/authorize` showing requested scopes ### Review feedback addressed **Renames (PR #18260):** - `appRegistration` → `applicationRegistration` (entity, tables, files, imports, GraphQL types) - `appRegistrationVariable` → `applicationRegistrationVariable` - `clientId` → `oAuthClientId`, `clientSecretHash` → `oAuthClientSecretHash`, `redirectUris` → `oAuthRedirectUris`, `scopes` → `oAuthScopes` **Security fixes (PR #18261):** - Fixed redirect URI validation bypass when `oAuthRedirectUris` is an empty array - Fixed workspace isolation in `clientCredentialsGrant` — now uses `find()` with explicit handling for multiple installations - Added error logging in refresh token `catch` block instead of silently swallowing **Code quality (PR #18262):** - Split `VersionDistributionEntry` into its own file (one export per file) - Split GraphQL queries and mutations into individual files with a shared fragment - Removed unused `OAuth` entry from `AuthProviderEnum` - Added loading state to `handleRotateSecret` - Removed 27 narration-style comments from test files - Added proper guards (`PublicEndpointGuard`, `NoPermissionGuard`) to controllers and resolvers ## Test plan - [ ] Verify `twenty dev` registers an app and stores OAuth credentials - [ ] Test OAuth authorization code flow end-to-end (authorize → token → API call) - [ ] Test client credentials grant - [ ] Verify redirect URI validation rejects requests when no URIs are registered - [ ] Verify app registration detail page renders correctly - [ ] Test secret rotation with loading state - [ ] Verify server variable editing and saving - [ ] Run `npx nx database:reset twenty-server` to validate migration Closes #18260, #18261, #18262 Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) --------- Co-authored-by: claude[bot] <41898282+claude[bot]@users.noreply.github.com> |
